A she? how do you know?

The personal nemesis is a she though. So unless he’s been playing around with those total makeover kits…
Well looks like people who hate groups got their solo dungeon. I wonder what the group version of it will be like.
I don’t think the same skins will be available. That’s assuming Josh’s statement about SAB weapon skins applies game-wide.
I loved all of Orr pre-nerf. The entire atmosphere is what set it a part from the other maps to me.
It is accessible. You are scaled up to 80.
It works fine. Just lower your graphic settings if your computer can’t handle it.
So how long until the unlimited sickle comes out? It’s already in the game since there’s a chat code for it. You just can’t obtain it.
No it does not.
Tooltip is clear. People are just not understanding what they are reading. That’s all. How does last player standing translate to last player holding at end of match? It doesn’t.
You likely have a few people that think it does, they then go around saying that’s how it is done, and everyone else believing them.
There is a way, which is how I got my backpack: try to get the crabtacular! achievement. for that you have two options:
- Tell everyone at the arena that you want the achievement, so the last guy will toss you the crab just before the time ends. (didn’t work for me, though, but worth a try).
– Watch the timer and try to grab the crab in the last few seconds (that’s how I did it, took me 4 tries).or, wait until May 28.
That is not how you get the achievement. If you hover the cursor over the achievement, it will provide more detail so you know what to do.
There’s like 29 achievements out for Southsun. You do not need to do the jp to get the extra sample.
In the meantime you can buy the ones for karma
Well before the 14th, SSC was essentially a dead zone. You should expect a little inconvenience when you have the challenge, rush, or the bounty here. For other zones, check the timers before activating the event to make sure nothing is going on to push you into overflow.
From what I have seen only 2 challenges, 2 rushes, and 5 bounties are on maps that can likely go to overflow. One of each are on the SSC map. All of this is plannable and you have 5 hours to activate a rush or challenge.
Sounds like working as intended.
Basically you get to the land part about half way through the escort phase of the event. You’ll kill some enemies and a motherbrood drake should spawn which will be a champion. She needs to be killed otherwise he just stands around. The champion will require a group of people.
Are you killing the champion?
Spawn rates in the game are fine. If you can’t kill things quick enough in the times the dev mentioned, you should look at your build and gear.

Manuals only work once. Much cheaper to pay the 4 silver or whatever to just retrain.
You cannot do the dungeon in a legit way. If you do then you’re taking advantage of an exploit and will get banned if caught.
Unfortunately it’s difficult to prove that they were trying to grief you. You can email https://en.support.guildwars2.com/app/ask/ and maybe they can look into it. In the meantime I would just switch to a different match.
How do I report a violation?
If you encounter a player who you believe violates our guidelines with inappropriate actions, vulgar language, offensive character or guild names, advertising of cheats or exploits, or any other breaches of our User Agreement or Rules of Conduct, we’d like to know about it. Please use our online help tool’s Ask a Question tab at the top of this page to inform us of the violation.
Here are some examples of violation details that you should send in your report:
- The name of the character being reported
- The name of the character you were playing at the time of the encounter
- The time and date of the incident (with time zone)
- A description of the offending action, dialogue, or name
- Screenshot(s) of the incident (please ensure any screenshots are in JPEG/.jpg or GIF/.gif format and under 2 megabytes total in size before you attach them to your message)
- Any other details that you feel are relevant
We will use the information you have provided to investigate whether a violation of the rules has occurred. If we do find any rules have been broken, we will take action.

What are you considering griefing?
It all depends on what you do. If you do Orr more often than dungeons then you may be better off with MF. The problem I see is that you can never know if the additional MF was actually the reason you got a decent drop due to RNG.
Doing a dungeon of two a week with the gold infusion will provide a greater benefit that the MF infusion. This is just my opinion on what I have observed.
There are poi’s. It’s still technically not a real map since it’s only like 25% of all of the others.
Try from your character screen (press H). I had a similar issue with weapon swapping a d this was the workaround for it. Perhaps it will work for your issue too.

Chantry of Secrets
Only problem is temporary content could no longer give achievement points.
I don’t see this as being an issue. No different than players not being able to get achievements for missed past dailies and monthlies.
There’s nothing wrong since you’re providing an in-game service.
If you have to ask then probably not a good idea.
Yes. You should not have to pay. Just read guides online and watch videos. Learn what other players do and what players with your class do. Go to a dungeon and apply what you learned.
Mesmer is pretty popular in dungeons. It’s not due to their damage but for their utility.
I’ve done world completion on 5 characters and it usually varies on how I complete each map. I sometimes circle the map and then do the middle. Other times I work my way from one side to the other. I sometimes split the map into sections using the geography of the map. There are many ways you can do map competition and no one way is really quicker than the other.
If you’re doing map completion as your source for leveling then you really should have any issues with being too low for a quest/heart. I usually start off by doing map completion for all of the cities which gets me to around level 7ish. You can do WvW map completion as well for the locations your server has.
Do all maps for a level range and work your way up to the next set. What I mean is do all of the starter zones first then do the level 15-25 zones next. By doing this, you should normally be above the highest level for the zone. You’ll eventually come to a point in the upper levels where you will not be since some level range maps only have one map for a specific level range. Doing dynamic events and/or story can help. Crafting cooking (very cheap) can easily resolve this problem.
He has always been like that. You need to spread out.
She’s likely part of the last half of the Secrets of Southsun. Probably is the one you do the dungeon with to apprehend Canach.
I don’t know if this is just due to lag or what. When I go to click buy, I am not able to. I have enough gold and there’s plenty of items available. The ability to sell items also will not load.
Resetting fixes the issue. I had just leveled two crafts. Is there something in the background that prevents players from buying/selling in a short period of time?
Everything resets when the daily does. DR is character bound but if you do the same path in a short period of time, you will hit DR regardless as to whether you ran that character that day.
Does the item give the correct stats? Maybe the info is just wrong.
Already a topic on this

I also think there’s a post somewhere by a dev that they’re looking into it.

For the swimming goggles achievement, if you put on the goggles and go up the ramp a bit, you’ll see a beam going out. You can jump from this and guarantee that you will make it into the lava. Think of it as a diving board.
I’m sorry that you had bad luck with RNG. Unfortunately that’s just how those chests work. You don’t have to quit over this.
Go to a less populated server during off peak times. There will be less people and you’ll have a better chance. Just this morning I played and there were only 6 people doing it including myself.
They’ve been the same since last November. The veteran karka only roll if there are ranged attackers. Stack on it and you’ll just get the regular attacks plus the double stomp. If it does roll for some reason, you can dodge through it.
Regular karka you just need invulnerability of reflect. Reflects really hurt them when the spit is sent back at them. This is one of the reasons why mesmers are the best at farming
Thanks for finally addressing some concrete examples
I had before. You just missed it. As I had stated, the examples were random which is why I felt no need to address one individually. I only did so above because you made such a big deal about it as you are still doing.
but all of your distinctions between exploit/non exploit seem rather arbitrary, which is my point.
That’s your opinion. They only came off as arbitrary because the examples given were. You threw out some random examples which had nothing to do with what I was discussing. Of course you’re going to get answers like that. Just because you disagree with them does not make them arbitrary either.
How can you honestly say that using an invuln skill to walk through the TA bubbles is an exploit, meaning a bannable offense? Especially considering how glitchy that part is when you use the portals (sometimes getting downed anyway, even though you did it the “right” way), how could you not think it’s a normal progression of thought to say “hmm, if I get close to those bubbles I get downed. I wonder if I can use Renewed Focus to get through? [pops RF, walks through] Ah hah!” I mean, what about using invuln skills to escape the bubbles in Lupicus phase 3? It’s the exact same principle, should everyone who’s ever used invuln for the bubbles be banned? Ridiculous.
How can you honestly say it’s not? How can you honestly say going outside the map is not an exploit? How can you honestly say stacking inside a boss to take no damage from his attack isn’t an exploit. How can you honestly say porting all over the map isn’t an exploit? I can do random, arbitrary examples too.
Going through the bubble was not the intended mechanic of the fight. This is different from the Lupi fight. There you used stability to prevent the knockdown when you touched the edge of the bubble. These are completely different. I doubt the devs intended you to just sit in the bubble, eat the damage, and likely get downed. Once again, the bubble attack from Lupi and the bubble shield in TA are two totally different things.
In TA, you get into the bubbles via the portals. You can justify exploiting it because it’s buggy all you want. It still doesn’t change the fact that its an exploit. You can circumvent things just because they don’t work out the way you feel they should.
I had 300% with all of the buffs. It did work as I got the potent bloods quite often than without. I got maybe 12 powerful bloods during that hour too. The more MF you have the better. Then it’s all up to your luck with RNG.
Guest on a less populated server during off hours. I just guested on a server and got it about 10 minutes ago. There were only 6 people in the match. Also watch what the good players are doing and figure out how you can do the same.
Why isn’t there a freaking dislike button?
You’re welcome
I just got it. Everyone but you have to be steamrolled by the karka. It’s basically luck.
You are driving me nuts. If you’re trolling, you win. Of course I seriously can! There’s a pile of other bosses where you’re meant to do this exact thing! Moreover you are taking damage from him because as someone pointed else he’s still doing melee flurries at you. And no, just because I’m underneath the boss when he lands is not a good reason for anyone to think it’s an exploit. GW2 is a game where you can be on fire while underwater. You can chill ice elementals. Your logic doesn’t compute.
Defending one’s position is not trolling. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they’re trolling.
Yes there are some bosses where it’s best to stack on them. The difference is that they don’t do the attack. Subject Alpha does not do his dragon tooth attack when you stack on him. This is because he only does that to ranged targets. The earth spike attack (3 rings of circles) does less damage the closer you get to him. However, stacking inside him to avoid damage is an exploit. THIS was what my example was that was being missed in this thread and by you.
Doing an action that negates an attack that would otherwise damage you is an exploit. Standing on some terrain where a boss can’t attack you yet you can attack them is an exploit. Stacking inside a boss so that their attack does not damage you is an exploit.
You committed a logic fallacy. Yes it’s strange that you can be on fire while underwater or chill ice elementals. This does not mean anything else that does not make since is excusable and right. When the Berserker slammed down players were supposed to take damage if they were standing on the ground. The devs mentioned that the trap boss/sequence/whatever (which was another thing players exploited) was meant to teach you the mechanics for the final boss. You were supposed to jump over the shockwaves that were on the ground level but not jump at the ones that were chest level. The devs intended you to do the fight this way, not stack inside the boss to negate his attack. It doesn’t matter that you can still get attacked by his auto-attack.
I quoted the exact part I meant to, in which you accuse us all of liking exploits because we disagreed with your definition of them.
Yeah you quoted the exact part that you meant to. You did not include the rest of what I stated that added on to it. I, in fact, did not accuse everyone of liking exploits. If you had read all of the posts you would have seen that this was only directed at you and Broadicea; nobody else.
Ruruuiye stated: If they don’t want us exploiting then patch carefully. Broadicea stated: And if the devs had programmed the fight correctly, you would take damage. But they didn’t, so we didn’t. Hardly our fault. This is what led me to the conclusion that they felt that there was nothing wrong with exploits. They both shifted the blame to the devs.
I posted a link to the rules of conduct that everyone had to accept either in the March or February update. Number 17 stated:
- You will not exploit any bug in Guild Wars 2 and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits) either directly or through public posting, to any other user of Guild Wars 2.
While it is vague, you have to use your best judgment and past examples to interpret what is an exploit.
