Guild leaderboards are supposed to be elo-based right? So why are there zero known teams in the top 10, while these guilds that nobody has ever heard of are in it?
Also who is [FFF] and how are they 1st place with 53-22 but I’ve never seen a single person from that guild? Do they just farm with a premade at 4am in the morning?

I say this with salt because I firmly believe “Elo Hell” exists. The last few matches I’m lucky if one person even say’s a single thing all match long. My last match was against 3 thieves, a Necro, and a DH. That should have been an easy win and yet, it’s a loss. Why, because only one person spoke, eventually. Another AFK’d from the start until called out and then just left. Matches are such a bag of crud that I can’t possibly believe someone hit Legend Solo Q’ing. Unless, because you are good, your early wins in Amber gave you an increased MMR. Where you were stacked with good players the entire time.

And if anything this proves that it’s too easy for lower MMR players to hit legendary through pure grinding if he managed to hit legendary with an F2P alt acc that probably wouldn’t have high MMR.

Everything is doing higher damage than 1 year ago, but the foefire lord doesn’t get buffed so it’s over whenever a team lord rushes at 350.
Also please compare foefire lord to stronghold lord – stronghold lord has downed state and actually does a noticable amount of pressure (as well as the NPCs). Meanwhile the foefire lord doesn’t have a downed state, has a weak auto attack and sometimes does a single-target stun, the NPCs are laughable. Both of these lords are game-ending mechanics so why not make them the same?

If you have 45% win ratio and have 15 lose streak followed by even just 9 win streak, you will have 2 more pips than you started with…
Win streak = double pips.
Winning after lose stream = 2 pips.
No way to lose more than 1 pip.
This means that you can win 45% of games and still hit legendary before others if you play pvp 8 hours every day because you will on average go up in pips – there’s always going to be win streaks and lose streaks just because of rng.

Really? Well…on my other account i hadnt played any unranked matches before and i got put into people who 5man one node together all the time. Is that supposed to be average mmr? So the average pvp’er 5man cap a node while the rest is empty? xD Ohboy…I thought that was hamster league, like the very bottom pvp bracket.
This does not surprise me tbh, think of all the pve’ers who played 1 pvp game only. There are probably more of these people than there are consistent pvp’ers and they all bring the average down.

Lol, gotta update your view then. Having 1+ Thieves doesn’t mean a loss anymore. No one can tank against 2 Thieves. You will be able to abuse the 3k range travel to +1 fights and down people instantly.

Honestly, I enjoy the new meta a lot more than the old one. They just need to tweak a bit of Thief/Necro/Scrapper and it will be closer to balance.

You make it sound like mesmer has always been a problem in top level play, but when has mesmer been consistently in all the top teams apart from this current bunker meta and the brief period when mantras were broken? I would say that mesmer has mostly struggled to be viable in top teams…

Have to counter passive damage with passive defense, passive condis with passive condi cleanse.
Why not have things that take skill to land and skill to counter?
Find a friend to duel. 1v1 him until you get used to what his class does. Repeat with every other class.

Now I’m not saying bunker mesmer is balanced, but your reasoning makes no sense. Bunker mesmer can’t even 1v1 a viper rev and will die in any 1v2 situation 1v2 unless the 2 players are either both bunkers (2 bunkers will never kill any decent bunker) or just really bad players.
Do the opposite of everything your customers say because the customer is never right.
bunker Mesmer nerf their survivability by 50% or their damage by 50%

I think so. From my experience, tempest protects and heals can be interrupted. Bunker mes however can’t because it is on all the time basically.
Most of the protection that a tempest gives is from either insta-cast or passive auras, lol.
Bunkering shouldn’t be available through invulnerability, that includes evades.
There is no counterplay to invulnerability, especially with such abundant alacrity application.
I guess this makes s/d daredevil even more OP then, since they have even more evade uptime.

Speaking of legendary skins, this PvP one is just stupid in terms of getting it. 3 games per day for 60 days! Some of us play 40 games across 2 days a week due to a thing called real life.

Well it would not be easy to make it ‘foolproof’.
What prevents me from just ticking any box I like regardles of what I run? How will the ticked box effeckt my q-time, how will this generally effect q-times, who says a bunker will always be meta and so on.I think the ammount of effort it takes to make it really good and foolproof outweights what it really improves in the end.
Why does meta matter? It’s always going to be good to have an equal number of defensive players on both sides instead of 5 bunkers on 1 team and 5 dps on the other team (which has happened before in soloq with obvious results…)
Judging by the timer, they 5 man zerged your lord – something which could easily have been countered by a single person killing the door breakers. There isn’t really anything else to take from this screenshot regarding skill level difference, the enemy team might have all sucked mechanically.
Thought more people would be playing pvp now, not less…
The last balance patch was much longer than 10 days ago.
PvE players are actually quite good at teamwork in my experience, and I’ve seen excellent teamwork in dungeons and events like Teq and so forth.
That’s cops dungeons and teq are kitten easy mode. Go do level 59 fractals (cliffside with exploding enemies) with pugs and tell me that most of the PvE community is nice.
Also that so called ‘teamwork’ was never there when those things first came out (when teq first came out for example), it only exists because it’s been around for so long that people just complete the event without thinking, not because of ‘teamwork’.
