You can go there but not get the achievements, for those you really need to play GW1.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes Rytlock is the 1st revenant, but that doesn’t mean a charr needs to be the race in the image. In the HoT page the revenant concept image in of a human.

They realized that too late, in the last chapter a “reset button” was added after the boss so you can retry the achievements without doing everything else.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How can we compare with the ranger’s traps if we don’t know how they’ll look like after the update?
Devs said that they will be changed to compensate the time to setup that will be added, but nothing else was said.

Maybe you can tell us what you already have and see what can be salvaged.
MoBo + CPU + GPU + PSU will be needed for sure, but HDD, Case and RAM may be reusable.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
O.o … you realize that the last post was made 2 years ago, right?

Anet is aware of those scams, and sadly people still fall for that even with the note on the bottom of the window.
Just report the sender and move on.

Completing a city map (like Hoelbrak and Rata Sum for example) gives a guaranteed transmutation charge.
PvP is the best bet imo, do the pvp dailies and soon you’ll have plenty of those.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Bank slots are really nice.
Character slot if you like to make alts.
Infinite gathering tools is very popular.
Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic is also a really good item to buy.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, do the Map Completion and your Personal Story, to get used to the game again.
Then I suggest to work into ascended weapons, those have the same stats of a legendary, but you can’t change the stats.
For the Living Story, check the wiki if the story and rewards interest you, if you like you’ll have to buy then for 200 gems each chapter.
Also, look for a guide for Dry Top and Silverwastes, those are 2 new maps with a lot of new mechanics, and Silverwastes is currently a good place to make gold.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You can buy them with guild commendations , you get those completing Guild Events.
Check the vendor list: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_commendation_trader

Maybe both images will be available.
You have a good eye, I bet that is exactly what will happen and Revenant will be where you added in the 1st image.

Be AFK and then play when you see that an even stated is totally fine.
Be AFK and do an event while you are still AFK is banable.Nobody give’s a bleep about afkers.
I also don’t care, I’m just stating a fact.

Can we get an official word on how this’ll be handled? It is a serious issue that will affect many players when the trait changes hit.
You do have an official answer: Source
It’s premature for you to ask for compensation for a system that has not been fully outlined or fully explored by you, as a player. I suggest your consider how long and how much use you got out of your items to reassure yourself you got full value. Also consider how every person who was unhappy with a balance build could make the a similar demand, and realize how unhealthy and unrealistic such a set of demands would be.
Wait for more information, please, before leaping to conclusions or making requests of this nature.

Chest farm in the Silverwastes and farming gold to buy from TP.

Between the i7-870 and the i5-2500, you’ll have a better performance with the 2500k in almost every sense, specially with GW2 since it is more dependent of individual core power.
Also, the 2500k offer a much higher possibility for overclock, making the performance gap even higher.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
All tittles are displayed in the achievements window, in the JP tab there are no titles, so you should know that you would get no tittle.
I agree that JPs should be a bit more rewarding and completing them all could have a tittle attached, but the problem with a tittle is that if more JPs is added later it would be kinda weird to not count or require the new players to do it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Umm … then depends of the event.
It may be a pre-event that chain into a World Boss.
Could be part of the Living Story, there are a couple steps that require you to complete open world events.
Also can be people bored before a guild event and they just do random events near it.
You see them in specific maps, or just everywhere?
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot about that daily, pomp.7314 guess sounds better than mine

Probably for map completion, they rush to get lvl 80 and after that they go back to low level maps to complete it.

Unacceptable Performance GW2 needs optimized!

This game is more CPU demanding than GPU, besides most games only use a few cores of the CPU, so usually an i5 with 4 cores works better than the AMD’s 8 cores because individually each core is “stronger”, that is where your setup is bottle necking.
With this setup and these settings I should be able to get 60 fps wherever I go and whatever happens around me but I dont. This is why I am saying the game needs optimized. I have a $200 video card from 2015. Dont care if an i5 is faster .. the 4.3 ghz 8 core fx processor should me more then enough. I get 60 fps in battlefield (32 person servers with all sorts of stuff happening from helicopters crashing around me to destroyable building collapsing around me) Gw2 does not even have these physics and I cannot get 60 fps. Its the kitten game Gw2 is just not optimized.
I’m not saying your setup is bad, I’m saying that for GW2 specifically, the CPU is bottle necking your FPS.
I totally agree that GW2 could use a good optimization to support newest technology, but since such a thing won’t happen anytime soon, all we can do is work around it.
Also, many here have a high standard, but at least I won’t quit the game because another game gives me higher FPS count but the gameplay sucks.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nope.

Funny thing is those Guardian whiners are crying about DH being useless LOL…
They can potentially be a better ranger class and yet they’re complaining about it being too weak. Also, your math is wrong. It’s cumulative not additive.
The correct number of damage bonus is 59.4% damage bonus, which is HUGE.
Well, if you were a guardian and the specialization makes you look like a ranger, you would be sad, haha
Jokes a side, the mechanics of the DH seems totally fine, the numbers are a bit off but overall I can’t see much to complain.

Our current military have the power to destroy our world 7 times, so yeah, we could take Mordremoth, all the living beings could also die in the process … BUT it would be dead, and the other Elders Dragons too
Now that sounds like a proper speed-clear to me…
Berserker as its finest, eh?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
There are 12 skill challenges in the WvW maps, right? So you’ll need 53 more challenges do unlock everything, play like 15 minutes per day in PvE and you’ll have it all before you notice.
Also I doubt that your toons NEVER touched anything in PvE, so you probably have a few challenges done, reducing the “grind” even more.

Rangers have many passive healing options, TU, SotW, the BM trait (forgot the name), and some traits that gives us regen and also pets that can apply regen, and if you top it with food like mango pie and sigil like of blood you have a really good chance to keep the 55% damage reduction with a really small reduction of the DPS.
Above all that healing ticking, we also have plenty of dodges if you go full melee, so the few attacks that hits you will be reduced and while you evade you heal back to over 90% if needed.

All hail the Hypemancer.

Chrono trigger ?
We have a winner!
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m also in.
With HoT I would like to make a human male Revenant and try to model based on myself, but there is no trimmed full beard, you either go with total full beard or small patches of fur around the face, nothing in between.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, if I only could use in GW2 and anywhere else … I would first buy every skin available and minis, then I would buy ALL the precursors and sell them for 1g each and all the legendaries and sell for 10g each.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
very few weapons have 4, and no weapon are used by more than that
One handed sword is.
-Mesmer
-Thief
-Ranger
-Warrior
-Guardian
And soon 7 with the add of Revenant and Tempest.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I would put it in a bank and then live the rest of my life just from the interests of the investment.
Here where I live a really basic investment gives around 0,5% per month of interest tax free, it is enough for a nice living.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Rifle: Warrior and Engineer (2)
Shortbow: Ranger and Thief (2)
Hammer: Warrior and Guardian (2)*
Mace: Guardian and Warrior (2)*
So yeah, rifle among others are in the same situation, too few can use them.
- number will change after HoT, Engineer and Revenant will use hammer and Rev will also use mace.

The plural of focus is foci, close enough
And even if you have 2 foci equipped the CD will remain after you swap, so it is better to just have 1 since it will be half the price and even if you have an “on swap” sigil in the weapon, it will trigger.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So swiftness plus the +25% movement speed would give you a plus 58% to counteract cripple’s minus 50% or chill’s minus 66%.
Is that really how it works? I was under the impression that the two bonuses never stack, even when movement speed is impaired.
It isn’t. Both bonuses doesn’t stack, you only get the bonus of the highest one.

I think that ANet is looking at it and thinking in a solution, if one isn’t found then a system similar to the Magic Find will probably be added.
In the end I think that any build can be updated by simply adjusting the trinkets and even if you use ascended ones it is pretty easy to get new ones, like builds that depended of the Vit on their zerke build will be able to get some valk trinkets (currently the zerk/valk one) and since the stats from gear will rise the loss will be balanced back and your build will keep the same.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Chronomancer can use Timeshifts to return to an earlier state of his skillbar (double Portal?), he can shorten Cooldowns of allies, with shield only he can block, stun and buff with alacrity. His Phantasms have 2 Lives, and so on.
This looks more powerful to me.
Im sure Anet will make sure that this whole thing gets balanced.
As I said in another post, all classes on paper seems OP.
I bet that when people start to actually play Chronomancers you’ll see that it just a good class and not an OP class.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
PvE = Jungle Stalker
PvP = Wolf
This.
And if you against a PvE boss that can’t be crit, I suggest to use drakes.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
1 – The official dev response was that we don’t have enough information to claim that we need compensations
2 – The WvW example is a bad one since they didn’t reset after a “balance”, they reset after a new skill is added, just when a long time ago Magic Find status was removed from gear, all gear had the option to pick another stat of your choice once, so if ANet see that a compensation is needed, they will do it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah GW1’s ban animation was amazing, but that video was really great.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Reasons to craft ascended armor:
1 – You run high level fractals
2 – You are a min/max player that can’t stand the possibility of not having the best gear even knowing it barely gives any advantage.
3 – You already have all the ascended weapons you’ll need
4 – You have gold to spend and nothing else to buy
5 – You are so bored that there is nothing else to achieve
My case was a bit of 4 and 5 to craft my asc set :P
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Elite specialization will only add 1 new weapon you can use (not mandatory), 1 new trait line (this one is mandatory) and a set of 1 heal, 3 utilities and 1 elite skill (not mandatory), and that is it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Ok, my only suggestion for the next April Fools is: No matter what you do, add a button or a way to turn it off, it will reduce A LOT the complains in the forums.
PS: I loved both the bobblehead and the aviator jokes, but both times the forum was flooded with complains.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
ANet devs are like little shy rabbits, we want to pet them but any movement may scare them and they run away
But really, our community is really nice indeed and the devs are a funny folk, I can’t be more satisfied.
