FYI, we also know the elite spec for Elementalist’s name: Tempest. What are people’s thoughts and expectations of such a name? Personally like it but that means it’s focused on wind somehow?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Nope
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, they said that initially we’ll only have 1 elite specialization per class, but in the future new ones will be added.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, ANet probably won’t change anything about T6 directly, what will be likely to happen is that demand of them will rise since many players will start to craft more legendaries and each one consumes at least 250 of every T6, and with demand rise the prices also rise.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Plot twist: Druid’s staff will work like guardian’s and will have meditation utilities
so you can play as guardian with your ranger while guardians can play as a ranger.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I would save the laurels, since it is a time gated currency and it may have more or even better utilities in the expansion, spend them may be a bad idea.
My suggestion is to invest extra gold you have in T6 if you want, or maybe a part of your laurels, like keep 150~200 laurels with you and spend the rest.

Dragon Knight sounds like a knight that serves a dragon, Dragon Hunter sounds exactly the opposite, and well … they ARE hunting a dragon and story-wise all the Dragon Hunters killed 1 Elder Dragon, so they deserve such title.
How about Dragonbane?
Sounds better and keep the same idea. I liked.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well yeah, the name could be “Dragon Knight”. The dragon part actually feels a bit… “uh?”
Dragon Knight sounds like a knight that serves a dragon, Dragon Hunter sounds exactly the opposite, and well … they ARE hunting a dragon and story-wise all the Dragon Hunters killed 1 Elder Dragon, so they deserve such title.

RP wise, spirits became mobile only in GW2, up to GW1 all spirits was stationary, be it ranger spirits or the ritualist ones.
What you can do is set a place of teaching and summon the spirits and later move to another place and summon them again and keep your journey.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Umm … the dervishes icons makes me intrigued, I wonder if one of the elite specializations will get enchantments as mechanic.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Solution:
1 – Make 2 GW2 icons in your desktop or wherever folder you want.
2 – in the command line add …\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -email acc1@fake.com in one and the other icon you add …\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -email acc2@fake.com
3 – name the icon with something to remember which acc you are using like “GW2 Main” and “GW2 Alt”
4 – ???
5 – Profit
EDIT: you’ll also need to use “-nopatchui” and “-password”, more info here: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments

I think it won’t reduce ICDs, just like currently chill doesn’t rise ICDs, just movement speed and skill CDs.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I know that Drytop and Silverwastes have a lot of JPs but I can’t remember any that is required to access any content besides achievements, and those are optional for players that like to do them.
I can think of a couple vistas but even those aren’t required for anything, not even for map completion.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
nope. I farmed 7 days straight and didn’t get it. so what?
I even made a thread which is positive.
From the few players I know in the same situation you are the exception, but congratulations, I’m glad that you feel good
, I really am.
… but at least the previous system you didn’t have to do something you may not want to just to have a chance to try the beta.
so why should someone like you get the access, who lacks of any interest whatsoever for this game and especially the expansion? you are not interested in a beta and in this game enough to qualify for it. the given method made that sure.
That is the point, someone like me shouldn’t have access since I don’t want to have access and that is the only good part of the new system, but it is a choice I made since I won’t have time to properly test the beta, the few hours I have to play I want to play the in the live servers, I have A LOT interest for GW2, just not in the beta.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
hahaha, my Ranger is focused on death for his foes, not life
Look at the T3 Charr armor and you need bones or something like it to be fitting. If you have a suggestion for a skin that fits, I’m all ears, brother. At least I changed from this…
HA! You went to the opposite theme of me, I have Jormag’s breath and Frostfang and white/blue set
I didn’t start to look for a staff yet, but I’ll look for a frost/ice themed one.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
There is nothing much to say, it is a focus and it is good looking, I don’t want to spend gold in a focus skin but it is a skin I would use for sure.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You can’t transfer crafting disciplines.
What can be done is learn all the disciplines with the same character and then pay a small fee to go back to a previous discipline, but not with different characters.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I think what he really wanted is even naked in the starter zone be able to 1 hit kill champions and bosses, and every mob cause 0 damage on him.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Also, you start to get the “real” reward from world bosses at level 60 if I remember correctly, before that you don’t get the guaranteed rare item, so even a gold in the event wouldn’t give you much.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You must be doing something wrong, because with my level 80’s I can solo most (if not all) group events with easy in the starter and the follow up maps.
With the current system you can help your friends that are starting greatly with your higher level character, but if you are just a bit above the level then you can just help a bit more and no simply decimate everything as you are probably imagining.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is because of your level + gear.
Compared to all the lvl 80’s with exotic and ascended gear you don’t stand much of chance even if you play it flawlessly, but soon you’ll get gold reward there, leveling is fast.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
No, the stress test mentioned already happened.
Probably the same thing will happen in the next beta and you’ll get the heroic chests if you have that game version, if that is your concern.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Let me re explain this.
Kill 0 Mobs = No chance.
Kill 1 Mob = 1 Chance.
Kill 500 mobs = 500 chances. So yes, basic RNG applies. But the more you do, the more dices you roll, and the more you increase your chances.
Half true.
lets say you have 1% chance for the portal to drop, so:
Kill 0 mobs = 0 time 1 chance in 100
Kill 1 mob = 1 time 1 chance in 100
kill 500 mobs = 500 times 1 chance in 100
Keep farming doesn’t increase your chances, you just keep trying the same chances over and over again.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Oh yeah, the new system you can actively chose to try to be in beta and not try at all, but the “Do something more = Even more chance” doesn’t exist, it is a binary system, you just have a chance or not.
For example, I’m not trying at all to get a portal, I don’t have time to play the beta properly, so I don’t want to waste the potential of other playing it, so I can choose to not be in the RNG beta, but the people that got the portal with their 1st kill or after many many hours of pure grind faced the same RNG and the more you farm doesn’t rise your chance, just keep you in the possibility to get it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Not really being negative, just pointing an opinion, which seems pretty neutral imo.
I’m glad that you get your portal, it is awesome to see happy players posting here, but the new system doesn’t seem better nor worse than the previous one it is just a different source of RNG.
And believe me, you licked the new system because of the portal you got, I see some friends and guild mates nearly miserable and borderline quitting because of the portal that doesn’t drop even after absurd amount of farm.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I bet you say that because of the luck you had. If you were one of the players that is farming for over 60 hours now and still have 0 portal you would be crazy mad.
BTW, I wasn’t picked for the last beta and I’m not even trying to get a portal, but at least the previous system you didn’t have to do something you may not want to just to have a chance to try the beta.
Also, the new system doesn’t increase your chance, RNG is still RNG, what change is the felling of since you are doing something then the chances are higher.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So … this chests are for the players that had the discontinued version AND got in the beta, the players that just have the discontinued version and didn’t get in the beta gets nothing at all … sounds fair >_>
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’m curious if the -cd applies to off-hand axe or not.
However I do find changing the traitline to Beastmaster is somewhat inconvenient tbh. Old -CD and +range is bound on wilderness survival, which is the trait I usually prefer.
I’m pretty sure it will, since the trait off hand training is gone, now there is a trait that reduce the CD of torches and daggers, so the honed axe needs to reduce ALL the axes CD to compensate, btw to really compensate, honed should also increase the range of PoS and whirlwind defense like the off hand training currently do.
EDIT: I just noticed that the range of the off hand training will be baseline, so yay!

Chrono is a Greek term to time, like in the word *chrono*meter , *chrono*logic and so on.
Paragon is still not confirmed, but that was a class in GW1
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
What makes you say longbow? Isn’t that the Shortbow Aether in the picture?
Look at the size of the bow relative to the character. It’s definitely a longbow.
Azureflame and Aether have the same skins and size.

Then send a bug report, if anything, graz on the free stuff

Its gonna be Guard week
Awesome.
Guardian is my 2nd favorite class, can’t wait to see how the longbow will work.

About the “join party” solution, the only issue is many times the server you were is full, so you won’t be able to join again.
The solution for the server queue save your spot for 30~60s after you leave sounds nice, but we don’t know if it easy or even if it is possible at all, but is a good suggestion nonetheless.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
“I also see some people saying you should get into PvE and complete all the skill point challenges you can before the update. Why is this, what happens if I wait?”
Nothing will happen, the thing is to unlock all trait + skills after the update you’ll need 465 (iirc) hero points, and a level 80 character will have 400 hero points automatically, the other 65 points will be earned from the current skill challenges (will be called hero challenges after update) so you’ll be just anticipating it but you can also do it later if you want.
So, try to check if your characters have at least 65 skill challenges unlocked, if not complete them.
About tomes/scroll, I’m still not sure if I should do something about it, I think it is better to wait for more info.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Sincerely, while you are leveling, sigils barely matters for a 2 reasons.
- You’ll change weapons often and keep the sigils will be hard/annoying
- Sigils under lvl 60 gives a very small benefit, barely noticeable.
Bloodlust + Fire is a great combo if you have enough precision to proc the fire one, also try to have Bloodlust in 1 of your underwater weapons, so you won’t lose the stack if you enter in the water, but overall, I wouldn’t worry about sigils at all.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Archer in PvP scenario was never that great and now new reflection and retaliation options is making it worse, but in PvE archer seems like a good option even after the updates, at least with the info we have so far.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is good, but just doesn’t feel right imo.
Yeah, TU removing cond will make me move from HS, cond removal was pretty much the only reason I picked it over TU.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I agree.
They are changing some skill types to fit under a category for mechanic sake, not that all skills fit 100% the type.
RaO as ‘pet’ and pretty much all our heals should have been under a category long ago, even though some doesn’t feel quite right like HaO as shout, but TU as survival looks amazing.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well, on his defense, if that AI system was improved, it would also improve our pets.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Our shouts have cast time because of how pet AI works on checking the player input and server side pet status.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
/roll d8
result: 7
I think it will be engineer, because RNG said it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, traps will be “throwable” by default, what will change is there will be an activation time.
Also yeah, spirits will be stationary but it will have changes to compensate that, we need to wait and see.
Archer will be a very viable option, specially that the current eagle eye and read the wind (just the speed part) will be default to LB, so with the few trait options the LB will be even better than it is now since more survivability/support options will be available.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, full melee is something I’m looking forward.
Many fury source options, on pet swap, on weapon swap, on hit with GS, every 3s with RaO, it will make maul and PoS so nice, I may even get the honed axe trait in BM line for the CD reduction for the PoS, but the quickness on pet swap is so good … ahhh so many options!
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The legacy skins is a choice of either Profane, Krytan, or Primeval skin, and those 3 are available in the gem shop.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Those items as you stated in your post was added later, the previous buyers didn’t get them.
Also, you know you can buy the skins from the Legacy Armor and a 18 slots bag way cheaper than the price of the Digital Deluxe upgrade, right?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So … “kill steal” is a thing in GW2 now eh?
I agree with gin.7158 haha
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I mean on paper, not in game haha.
On paper minions and DS sounds so OP, it is a 2nd HP bar over the normal HP bar and they have the highest HP pool possible AND minions attacking everywhere and tons of HP syphon, it is OP, no one can kill it.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
On paper all classes are OP.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
