Every combo field have a specific effect for each combo finisher, read that table and see what effect you want and then check your skill descriptions to see which one produces the field and finisher you want.

sword + (axe,wh) is great for PvE, but control the sword with autoattack on is really tricky.
If you are hurt and don’t want to stress your left hand and have a good all-around weapon go for greatsword, it has evade on autoattack, good mobility with swoop, a block, great spike with maul, all in 1 package.

Yeah, thief survivability comes from not being hit and not from tanking, so use your stealth and evasions wisely.
As Exciton said, Valk set fits well since you can get some guaranteed crits even w/o precision, also foods are usually based in vit and tou % so with the higher vit you’ll get more bonus from foods making your life a bit easier.

Fractal skin is currently a prestigious skin that show that you ran a good amount of fractals, while mini llamas and glorious skin shows that you did a certain amount of pvp.

EDIT: Make fractal skin be obtainable by relics/pristine relics inside the fractal it a much more reasonable solution to the RNG.

Was from the mists mainly, but we don’t have much details.

The mists is the oldest thing in existence, the proto-reality that exists between the worlds, constituting the fabric of time and space that connects the multiverse together.

The match have timer, so if the lord healed ooc, kill it in time could be a bit too hard.
Also, it is “easy” because your team was good (or the enemy was bad), because the lord you are guarding also doesn’t heal ooc.

The animation is no problem.
If Charr have issues with armor clipping, imagine a Centaur.

Just click in the exclamation icon in the bottom of that mail, report and move on.

Well … I wouldn’t discard druids as shapeshifter, not because WoW’s druid, but because D&D’s druid. ANet seems to get some influences from D&D and our Guardian is the strongest reference from there, Guardian is pretty much exactly what a Cleric is there, so imagine that they can do it again wouldn’t be so absurd.
EDIT: Also Tempest (elementalist elite) is a D&D prestige class.

Mounts per se I also think that we’ll never have.
But something like a “mechanic” used to transverse a certain terrain in a map/area is ok, like the Junundu in the GW1 used in the Desolation area.

There I usually go with a spider (long rage + immob) and with a drake (good damage/tank ratio).

From the toons you already have, the easiest and also effective in both WvW and PvP is teh necro.
In WvW necro is better among a zerg group than roaming, but even at roaming it performs really well.
In PvP you can either go as power or cond and both are good enough, you could even see necros in the teams that went to the finals in the tournament that happened yesterday.

I personally prefer eng but I know that it is a hard class to play, but my necro is my 2nd favorite class in PvP and WvW.

Depends on how you level to 10.
If you have some tomes to spend or those birthday scrolls that level to 20, then go for it.
If you do it by crafting, then I think that the profit you get for the time you spend isn’t really worth imo.

If I were you, I would sell the wintersday gifs instead of opening them, actually I would just hoard them and sell it when the next wintersday gets announced, the price of it will spike and that will be the best time to sell.

With the clothes you already have, also hoard it and trade for items next wintersday.

It depends a lot of personal preference.
With my ranger I also felt a bit too squishy with full zerk so I got the zerk/valk trinkets, so I sacrificed a bit of precision for vitality.

If you run grenades and/or pistol I suggest celestial trinkets, you’ll end causing lots of conditions even if you don’t want to, so you can get advantage of every stats.

Also, take a look on which runes you are using, you can try to look for a more tanky rune set instead of getting new trinkets.

Any time soon, no one can say for sure.
If you can expect to see it, I guarantee it will someday.

By PvP you mean Wvw?
I ask because in PvP everyone is lvl 80 and all the gear is the same.

Also, GW2 have one of the faster (if not the faster) leveling to max I’ve ever seem.

First of all, what build you are using and what role you want to try to be in?
If you are going LB+GS with zerk amulet and try to capture points 1v1 you’ll have a bad time most of the times, with that setup you’ll want to help your team mates to capture points.

Those are very likely to be the mastery for the current precursors, the new ones will be added later. Remember that the beta is still very incomplete compared to what we’ll actually have.

Yeah, the log one is to calculate the DPS to yourself, and as any measurement, you need to repeat the test a few times and take the average, use it to see if your new build is better than the previous one.

If you want to compare with other player using the log method, you better talk with the player before that and agree with a set of rules to try to be in the same “ambient” and the log become more fair and then both do it.

Or you can use the in-game battle log (it is among the chat options) and set it to show only your damage and test is, then take a print of the log and sum the damage and divide by the time to estimate your DPS.
The log is pretty complete, it shows if the hit was a crit or not, show the damage from sigil like air and fire for example separately from your damage and so on.

Ele is the squishest class (lowest HP pool in light armor), so if you gear with a glass cannon gear you better be a fantastic player

Oh, now you specified a lot of things.
Jormag, VW, Teq and Triple Trouble are the bosses that I can excuse people getting downed.
Yeah, an ele with rare zerk gear will have a rough time in those bosses, zerk is indeed the best gear, BUT also requires you to dodge/block everything.
My suggestion is to get at least soldier trinkets with laurels or guild commendations or wvw barges. or you can get soldier armor from dungeon tokens.

The way you wrote your 1st post made us understand that you die for world bosses like Maw, Golen and so on.

Keybind would be good enough, actually it would be even better since if I have RoA activated I don’t want my pet stowed, among other situations.
