(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
I served in the army for a year and there I saw many example that if someone take a single shot from a rifle, even if only in the leg, that person will be incapacitate but usually the person just die.
Devs, please fix warriors and engineers, rifles should do a lot more damage I can’t imagine someone taking a shot and still be able to fight at all, btw it also work with pistols, so mesmer and thief should also be fixed.
The biggest issue I see is with engineers, they use grenades and mortars, and guess what? A person can still fight after being hit. WTH ANet, what are you guys thinking?

I’m pretty sure that is my final look for my Rev.
That is my look for a while, just changed my sword for an ascended one.
PS. I wonder what happens when the wolf howl and the enemy get both fear and taunt at the same time… hummm
Since the taunt starts when you press F2 the target is taunted and start to go into wolf direction, when the fear starts the taunt usually ended or was cleanse before that then the target run away normally.
That combo is a beauty.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I have 1 of every class at level 80 and after Revenant get released I’ll keep that statement truth.
EDIT: and I’ll have to update my signature to “(and the other 8 classes at lvl 80 too)” :P
Currently necros are pretty bad in dungeons no matter the build, ranger have 1 build that brings extra damage to the party that no other class can offer (frost spirit and spotter), still not meta but acceptable.
Sadly, for dungeon speed run guard, war and ele are a must and mesmer and thief are tool classes depending on the dungeon.
But if you’ll play with friends or be in a guild then both classes can be used in dungeons quite nicely, and in that case go with whatever you prefer.
BTW necros are also great in WvW, not only in PvP.
“Unparalleled archers, rangers are capable of bringing down foes from a distance with their bows.”
???
He IS saying that rangers are good archers AND the suggestions he made would make being at distance not an issue.
BTW, if those suggestion would be implemented, I’m sure that ranger could join the PvE dungeon meta, improve the support in PvP, but in WvW wouldn’t change much since pets would still die in a fraction of seconds in the zerg.
Exactly what Thaddeus said.
Here you can see exactly how the window is to pick which amulet /rune/sigil you want.
Also, just to clarify, the “special” runes and amulets he mentioned that requires gold to unlock are just different combination of status, they are in no way stronger, and usually they are not even used in the meta builds.
PvP doesn’t use the same gear from PvE, there all the players have the same tier of gear, all you need to pick is which stats to use for your build.
PvE/WvW the top tier of gear is the ascended, those are 5% better than the exotic tier (1 below) but it is over 10x more expensive and much harder to obtain check this link for more info.
Level to 80 is pretty easy, just keep doing your Personal Story, complete some maps, do a bit of crafting and you’ll be lvl 80 without noticing.
You can craft legendary weapons, the most expensive part is the precursor weapon, but with the expansion we’ll get a way to get it by collection, so no need to rely on RNG to get it.
I would prefer that a lot more than what it is now, at least in a PvE/WvW point of view, I can see that change be a bit undesirable in PvP.
Not sure if you need to watch less movies or play less GW2 …
BTW … I read all the “shouts” with the voice of the actors in my mind haha
Try reddit.com/r/guildwars2 , but even there I don’t think your post will be … let’s say, popular.
With only 1 account, you can’t.
NA and EU server are separated, so one doesn’t “talk” with another, all you can do is buy another account make a new toon and play that one in a different server.
EDIT: The guest feature was created when Megaserver didn’t exist, so if you wanted to play with a friend from another server in the same region, you had to guest there, now yeah, guest is useless.
I would suggest the guardian, maybe you are using the “wrong” weapon sets, greatsword and staff have a quite boring gameplay, try to use scepter/focus or sword, you’ll notice that it will be a bit more fun.
If you were used to play as ele, you can try to play as thief, it is squishy as ele and have great damage and nice mobility.
i’m sure this isn’t that difficult to do so the hair stays where the hat doesn’t touch or something?
You couldn’t be any more wrong.
Put a hat over a hair model without changing the hair is almost impossible, or you’ll get terrible clippings at best.
Change the hair based on the hat that is covering is an amount of work you can’t imagine, the simplest solution would be to make a different hair model for each hat for each hair model, for example, if there was 6 hats that makes the head bold you would need to make 6 new hair models for every possible hair in the game.

hopfully they do it before the expansion but its doubtful with the timeframe
That I can guarantee that won’t happen. They are all focused on the expansion.
After HoT we’ll have a possibility to have LS1.
Will be the “half-finished kitten version”: Mallyx + Jalis + Ventari
Will use the beta slot.
I think the most valuable drops I got was 2 ascended armor chests from PvP reward track, since I’ll get light armor from them, it is worth a lot.
Oh look, it is time for that tread again.
Yeah, it is not strange, actually it is expected.
That GS seems ok.
Also, only guardians, mesmers, warriors and rangers that also have a lvl 80 necro and become a reaper and do the reaper reward track to get the skin.
I’m sure it will reduce the number of that skin by a bit.
Very likely to go to the wardrobe like any other skin and be locked just by armor type, like the Reaper hood will be used only with light armor classes.
Just the HoT itself.
In the MMO AIKA, this is an example of mount: http://images.mmosite.com/news/2009/09/01/aika/dualgunner.jpg
So yeah, your “personal carriage transport” is a mount …
Yo mama is so fat, her bikini line has its own explorer achievement.
I had to hold my laugh so hard here at work, good job.
You are either using the beta slot or you didn’t buy the ultimate version.
I bought the ultimate and got the char slot immediately, currently it is my 2nd silver doubloon farmer.
I received my character slots as soon and I bought the package.
They are talking about the standard version, not the deluxe/ultimate.
I pre-purchased the Ultimate version and I’m still happy and can’t wait to play HoT.
It is a matter of artistic choice too, a game that looks more cartoony will look more pleasant even after many years, a more realistic take will get outdated faster.
Take for example Resident Evil, if you play the PS1 version it looks terrible now, but when people 1st played that it was amazing, now take Spyro the Dragon, if you look at it now it still looks ok.
Without changing components of your PC? No, there are no options.
You can’t overclock you current CPU, so to get better performance you would need to buy a new one.
To use the dual channel you would need to buy another 8GB RAM stick, but still it would be a very small improvement.
AMD 7850 is a good enough video and even if you overclocked that (I don’t recommend at all) the FPS gain would be small, if any at all.
@Belzebu – no socket 1150 CPU can do triple channel. That’s a feature dictated by the CPU since the memory controller is baked in. Socket 2011 CPUs use triple channel.
I remembered that a few i7 CPU supported triple channel, couldn’t remember which ones so I wrote to cover all the possibilities
, thanks to clarify.
Some issues that may be bottle necking your overall performance:

I would create a ranger now and play to 80, or even tome to 80, but open some maps, get WPs gear up and so on, so when HoT starts you’ll have a good base for your Druid.

Who pre-purchase gain “Access to All Beta Weekend Events”
Next week will be a Stress Test, not a BWE, so no we won’t get it it automatically.
I would try to get exotic gear first, and while you do that try to do map completion, that way you’ll get more used to your class.
Then do a bit of everything to check what you really like, WvW/Fractals/Dungeons and so on, then you invest in ascended gear that fits the best area you like the most.
Another way that works (and tried it 2 days ago) was to go bit to left , above that rock, but instead of sliding towards it, pop swifness and jump as far in front as u can. You will fall in water w/o taking damage. Works every time.
Yes, that is the spot.
I didn’t need to use swiftness, but yeah, works every time.
Instead of sliding your way down you can just jump to the bottom, after 3 failures by sliding I got it in the 1st try by jumping.
In WvW engineers and rangers have quite good use for it, both have good hybrid builds.
You can try to send a support ticket, but in game there is no way to do that.
All Zenith skins are only from the AP chests.
If you don’t see the skin (make sure that you scrolled down the list till the end), that means you already have it.
If you don’t have it and also doesn’t show in your list, then send a support ticket because it is a bug.

If it was even possible to ANet have a Patreon, it would be a nice way to measure the number of dumb people that plays the game, because you would have 2 options:
1 – give $10 to ANet by Patreon and get nothing back and ANet actually only gets $6 (the rest stay with Patreon)
2 – give $10 do ANet by Gem store and get gems back and ANet get the whole $10.
Guess what would be the dumb option.
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
Total Characters: 9
- Mesmer 1 – 80
- Guardian 2 – 21/80
- Necromancer 1 – 80
- Ranger 1 – 80
- Elementalist 1 –80
- Warrior 1 – 80
- Thief 1 – 80
- Engineer 1 – 80
And 1 empty slot and later I’ll receive the extra character slot, so I’ll have 1 Rev lvl 80 and another lvl 21 doubloon farmer.
Because it may change several other mechanics, like traits that depends on number of boons or conds, a whole lot of balance should be made if it was implemented.
AC weapon glowing effects happens only at night time, but the bubbles exactly I can’t say for sure, nothing changed that I know of.
Go to a site like speedtest.net and make a test in 2 different places, one in Austin-TX to test for the NA servers and other in Frankfurt in Germany for the EU server and see which other have the lower ping.
BTW, the lower the ping the better.
Yes, it changes.
Every cond tick is calculated real time.
Yes it is quite clear, but again, we can’t be sure after the launch.
We can’t say for sure, all the info we have so far is about the pre-purchase offer, so after launch it may change, but probably you’ll also get a character slot if you buy HoT after its launch.
WoW and FF XIV doesn’t prove it, they are the exception.
Many more P2P MMOs was forced to change to F2P/B2P because they couldn’t maintain that model and after the change they stabilized.
Yes, devs said that with that new system they can easily add new elite specializations in the future.
Not that I’m doubting you, but do you have the source for that?
No problem, I’m pretty sure it was mentioned in the HoT announcement, I’ll see what I can do to link it.
EDIT: Source
… Each of the professions will be getting one of these Specializations and this also is a framework that we’ll use to grow the professions in the future. This will be the way we add more skills, traits, and abilities to the game moving forward. That’s how we’re growing our existing professions. …
back then they refer elite specialization just as specialization.
