Yeah, the event OP is mentioning was in the BWE2, and it was awesome.
In BWE1 was in Wayfarer and I just remember a legendary bunny that was tanky as hell, and the moa was just immortal haha.
In the BWE3 ended with a “hunger games” like event, can’t remember exactly where it was, I think it was around Metrica

Order of Whispers and CIA is a good comparison, in both cases everyone knows that those organizations exist, but information about who belongs to them, where is the main HQ, what they are doing exactly are all a mystery/secret and both organizations will try their best to keep it that way.

If you own Eternity then you’ll have Sunrise and Twilight skins unlocked, even not binding them to your account.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, we all just want to do what we want and we live in hippie-land :P
Yet, you play as an engineer … hopefully not in dungeons.
But yeah, I agree, FS and spotter are just too good for any party.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
The thing is that both skills 1st pulse starts after a while you started the channeling, so it also last a couple more pulses after the channeling is complete.
So to compensate the time you were vulnerable and not doing any damage in the beginning, you get a time doing damage and able to move again in the end.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Glad that I helped
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
After you are in the spectator mode you need to pick one side, if both sides are full you can’t join the fight.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
From where did you get that?
I take it u weren’t here for the beta’s ? it was meant to be added in for launch but never was.
I was here for the betas, I played the 3 BWEs, I follow GW2 official site since when Elementalist was the only confirmed class, and apparently you are the only one who “remembers” that.
EDIT: Maybe it was a mod post in the gw2guru and you thought it was a dev?

In the solar thing in the dome is something written in new krytan, can anyone tanslate that?
Part is covered by the statue’s head, but part of the text in both sides are clearly visible.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, it looks like a big statue of Abaddon.

But gems → convert to gold → buy materials → craft stuff → ??? → profit
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
In the Heart of the Mists, you just open the PvP Build window (it is in the top center of your screen) and pick the one you want, almost every one is unlocked for free.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
From the link you post, Shaman’s amulet and Soldier’s runes.
Check this link for more information: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Build
You pick your runes, amulets and sigils in that window: https://d3b4yo2b5lbfy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/42918build-ui.jpg

Maybe you forgot to wear a rune and/or an amulet?
In PvP your armor doesn’t count for anything, you just pick the rune and amulet combination.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
So basically do what I was doing before but without getting experience?
Exactly, btw you still get experience, you still get an extra skill point every time you “level” after 80.
That is how the GW2 works, many players complain that GW2 doesn’t have “end game” but actually the whole game is “end game”.
For the more hardcore you can pursue the craft of a legendary weapon, the ascended sets, organized Triple Trouble runs, but even for those you can do/start before the level 80.

It’s taken me a long time because I tend to be an alcoholic.
Hopefully you meant alt-holic , but I can see how being alcoholic can slow down your progress :P
Anyway, yes complete the map exploration, do some dungeons, check WvW, level your crafting skills, make all your alts lvl 80, check the PvP sometimes, pick a collection to finish … so many things.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
it was meant to be in at launch but was pull as it “wasn’t ready”
From where did you get that?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
How someone playing a ranger isn’t planing to get all the pets?
You can try to argue what is the minimum amount you can handle, but any ranger will only be satisfied with all pets.
BTW, since I have 40/50 HoM, my pet window is 100% filled every time
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I just tested tonight the build with the ricochet trait and the berzerker amulet on PvP and for me it worked really well.
Just used the sigil of generosity in the pistol instead of accuracy to help with cond cleanse and done.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Elementarists are really good in dungeons to buff the party, you can give important buffs like might and fury, in water attunement you can give regen and Soothing Mist to the party, Elemental Attunement is also a good passive buff to the party and so on.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yes, great idea, thanks for the suggestion.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Why would you want such a thing?
Are you suggesting something like … ascended level runes and sigils?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Yeah, that is what I was imagining, since I’m just PvPing casually, most of the times I’ll be in team fights during hot join matches, so the immob + a bit of AoE can be useful.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
@Bel: 2-3, not 23
Yeah I know, I just forgot to type the “-”, my statement keeps the same. ;D
But yeah, in GW2 ranged DPS will never be better than melee, the game was designed that way.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Why not both classes?
If you are making an asc weapon for a thief I would make a dagger or sword, not only both are used in great thief builds but also can be used on ranger, specially the sword.
But if you really want to make the pistol or the longbow, go for the longbow, the reason is that the pistol isn’t actually a good power weapon for thief, while the longbow is a great power weapon for ranger, I assume a power weapon because condition damage doesn’t get much advantage with ascended gear.
BTW, I wouldn’t call someone with 23 hours/day available a casual player
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I know it would be sub par, but could this build work in PvP? Probably using zerker or barb amulets in place of the zerker/valk from your link.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
You’ll NEVER run out of things to get AP.
If you want to hunt for AP, then do as many things at same time as you can, like using different weapons in different monsters to get weapons master and slayer at same time, do that while doing the daily kill or in WvW for the daily/monthly player kills.
I play since beta, I’m a bit over 16k AP and I’mm far from having my daily or monthly AP capped.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Most of times when moa’d I survive the whole duration or I even manage to defeat the mesmer, specially in the middle of a team fight.
What most players end doing is running away when they get moa’d, and that is why you lose.i kept attacking him but the damage was pathetic
If you are built for cond damage yes I agree, but since I usually play as power build my damage keeps in a decent level while moa’d.
Also your dodge skill works and you have skill #5 to dodge attacks too.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Maybe the Hall of Heroes or even The Battle Isles.
They might be referring to a land that existed/was accessible in the gw1 era but in the gw2 is just a legend.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
This is the best guide I read about getting 30/50 in the HoM, that is what you need to get all the bonus items, above that you only get tittles.

Yeah, you probably focused too much while you played.
I noticed that when I started to do PvP (very casually) my AP started to rise by a lot, specially because I’m playing with all classes.
Try to do different stuff, you don’t need to actually pursue an achievement, just do some JPs, do the personal story with different races, try to use different weapons while you play and so on.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Since the OP is in a position similar to mine, I’ll kidnap this topic a bit.
I’m also new to thief and I want to start doing PvP exclusively, last night I tested a d/p build but I found out that with my ping (~300ms) I can’t do most of the teleport combos like heartseeker → stealth for example, when I do that I end going somewhere and get lost completely.
So, can you guys suggest a more forgiving build, for example, I played d/d ele and shatter mesmer and it was fine, hopefully OP can enjoy such build too.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It will be unlocked account wide.
Only the progression of the story is character bound.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Well … guess what? Rangers have a really good cond regen build that use apothecary set, a time ago it was a “meta” WvW roaming build for rangers.
I can’t think of other class that can use it well enough.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Before this update they nerfed shortbow to make the longbow look better (literally) who knows if something similar might happen again.
But, in general I don’t use LB anyway, and this balance on the PBS sounds fair, I can’t complain.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Henge of Denravi
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Race: Tengu for sure
Classes: Some kind of a heavy armor class, with medium HP pool, maybe something like a heavy version of the GW1 Dervish, with enchantments as class mechanic.
Weapon: Scythe
Why is 80% of anet’s employers working on living story, 15% on gem store and maybe 5% on bug fixes, hud changes, balancing etc. ?
Did you know, that 83% of the statistics are made on the fly while a person is writing something based on nothing?
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
But how long will we have to wait????
That is a question that a dev here will NEVER answer.
Not that they are bad or anything, but developing involves so many things, priorities can change, bugs can appear … and if they give a date and end not happening the community goes crazy about it.
Look at the precursor crafting and new legendaries for example, people ask about it all the time and use it as a failure argument while the dev may be working on those but just changed the priorities.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
- One should never balance a game by removing player convenience or breaking logic. Balance the numbers, that’s what they are for.
They didn’t remove a player convenience, they fixed a bug that was exploited by the players and was never intended to be that way.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Why? Because it makes no sense to lose it. If it’s a balance concern them why not make the stack inactive during water battles and weapon swaps?
The problem is that people exploited that, after the April 15th update people used to do one of the two things:
1 – Go underwater to stack bloodlust and then go to land with full bloodlust stack and use other sigils on land.
2 – Have a bloodlust sigil on the underwater weapon, then equip a land weapon with bloodlust, stack on land, then equip other land weapon w/o the bloodlust sigil.
Bloodlust was created to make the player choose between a powerful sigil that will be useless after certain point or use other things that is weaker but is permanently useful.
tl;dr: If you want bloodlust underwater you need an underwater weapon with bloodlust.

I think you should read this topic: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/anet-s-lack-of-transparency/first
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
This is not currently an option supported in Guild Wars 2. I am however curious how you would see this functioning. Would it be some sort of keybind toggle, or something else?
A good option in my opinion would be, create a setting in menu, when that setting is active your RMC would turn on the camera movement and when you click the RMC again it would turn off.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Actually there are some topics about that, the problem is that the search here in the forums doesn’t work at all.
Yes, totally agree, there is even a dev post that liked an interesting suggestion about emulating the same feature of Windows that makes a signal showing where the cursor is.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I think that we’ll never kill all the dragons.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I don’t care. I have insta-20 scrolls and half a stack of level tomes. Insta-80’s for free.
My thoughts exactly.
There are already insta level tomes and they are easily obtainable.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
Dude. gold seller?
this free player cant even wear exotic. their gear just that cheap 12 silvers items. their full set not even get 2 golds.
in the long run, this will attract more players. because they can experience the awesomeness of gw2.
players has desire for power. they will bought the game
I’m kinda starting to believe you are really serious about your suggestion >_>

Obvious troll is obvious.
In case you aren’t trolling, I feel sorry for you, really.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
It is lvl 80 because it is located in the WvW map, you’ll be upleveled to 80 there.
