Vavume, they can’t possibly get every bug before a patch goes live. In fact some bugs don’t appear until the patch is live. They’ll fix it.

I’m also crafting a full set of ascended for when Rev launches. I can’t wait!

I’m surprised there hasn’t been any topic or speculation on this yet. The game launched on Aug 28th. Next month will be the three year anniversary of GW2. And nobody is yet speculating on what we’ll get for birthday presents? Dunno about anybody else, but I still have the first 5 toons I made within 45 minutes of launch. I’m curious as to what we’ll get besides the birthday boosters.

Not sure how they’ll handle progression though, as I doubt they’ll add some sort of gear treadmill. Raid-only cosmetic gear?

Cosmetic gear, or possibly exclusive ascended gear, like with Teq and TT.

Actually I like this idea. I have multiple permanent harvesting tools that I wouldn’t mind putting on other toons if possible. Also, I have a good many frosty harvesting tools that the charge idea would take care of nicely. Please consider this one, ANet!

I got the deluxe edition for myself and my roommate. No regrets, no issues with the price. I shall sleep well tonight, with a smile on my face. Haters can hate all they want.

You may want to check into the back items that you can craft. Most of those are “normal” looking, and cheap to make.

Let people farm if they want to farm, so long as it doesn’t interfere with other people’s game play. That being said, people are going to be doing map completion. Farmers need to understand that others will be trying to get the heart done in the most expedient way possible. Bite your tongues.

Problem solved, apart from a lot of hurt player feelings, but at least they’ll then rest assured they DO get to play a closed beta without doing anything else for it.

Will there be anything done about this issue? Just out of curiosity.

I found the map visually stunning, but difficult to navigate. That being said, I did not have time to level either the gliding or mushroom masteries. I have to assume that they get easier when those are leveled. It was fun running around though

My roommate filed a ticket because of the same issue. She got the drop, but no beta slot yet.

As far as the beta goes, it’s not exactly helpful to residence in the US either. Most of us are either working or still in class.

Ironically enough, the purpose of a beta test is to search for, identify, and fix bugs. It’s not meant as an early access, it’s meant to get rid of all those bugs before release.

You should have received at least one Tapestry when you reached the Eye.

It only applies to the individual item. If you Transmute your helmet, then change the helmet, the new one won’t have the same skin.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the name is irrelevant. I don’t care if it’s called Bubblegum Sparkfart. What I care about is the skills, mechanics, and traits that go with the specialization. That being said, I’ll wait to pass judgement until I see it in action.

Gameplay wise I’m so hyped, skills can easily be made so that they don’t feel strange on guard.
But the name.
The godkitten name is JOKE. If I wanted to main ranger i would do that. Meanwhile I didn’t and I started feeling like a traitor some time ago because of having rangers on my account.
As for names I’ll throw you some from your franchise in some way (general specialization, not neccessairly this one): Zealot, Paragon, Justicar (this one i would find fitting for present specialization), Confessor.
And some others: Paladin, Prophet, Crusader (this one I would find fitting for present specialization)

You do realize that most of the names you threw in here have either negative connotations from the game lore, or are grossly overused in the MMO industry anyway, right? Most of those are ranks in the White Mantle.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet! That being said, I too like the name, but the name doesn’t matter nearly as much as the specialization aspects.

I’m sorry to disappoint the naysayers of these auspicious forums, but as someone who mains a support guardian I’ll be playing this specialization and then some. The fact that the long bow is going to be the weapon of choice is, to me, a god send, as the currently available long distance weapons are incredibly short distance, making playing a support role difficult when trying to fight as well. As to the name… WHO THE HECK CARES??!! A rose by any other name would smell as sweet…

The Heritage Legplates might work, but it’s a GW1 skin. Heavy Plate Leggards, Studded Plate Leggings, Whispers Secret Tasset, and Priory Historical Tasset might also fit your bill. Only other one is Primeval, and you already ruled that out.

Tuesday (5/5/15) was the tentative deadline. They did say they might extended it depending on numbers. Obviously they didn’t get the number of testers they wanted yet, so they extended it. At this point though it’s anyone’s guess how long it’ll last.

Hi all. My roommate just got a new laptop and downloaded the client on to it. After she gets to the character select screen, the character images don’t load right (they look see-through/wire frame) and if she tries to load a character the client crashes completely. Has this happened to anyone else and are there any fixes?

On the character select screen, look in the lower left corner and click the button marked World Selection.

Unless it’s a bug (which does happen) usually anything we can preview early will end up in the gem store. No guarantees though.

Hey Wesley. I see a lot of people have offered opinions on why it shouldn’t be ported, however I haven’t seen anyone post reasons it won’t happen. ANet has said before that there are multiple reason that they aren’t considering a port. First and foremost, ANet’s update system isn’t compatible with the consoles currently out. There are contract issues with Microsoft and Sony, and they would actually have to pay a great deal to perform updates that can be done for free on PC. Also, to port to a console, they would have to do a huge menu re-design. As it stands now, there are way too many functions for a standard game control to handle. Even people who have come up with control configurations when playing on PC, they still have to use the keyboard and mouse for certain functions because the control can only handle so many commands. I’m sure there are other reasons as well, but these are the big ones for why it’s not likely for GW2 to come to console.

This has both a yes and a no answer. Yes, if you’re looking for a (relatively) inexpensive way to get the best stat weapons. No, if only about a 5% increase isn’t worth it to you. It is cheaper in both the long and short run to make ascended than legendary. If all you’re after is stats though, go for the ascended.

Goliath is referring to the process by which a precursor weapon is made. If I remember the PoI on that right, then yes, if you have already made the legendary, when the expansion releases the first two skins (incarnations) of the weapon before it becomes a precursor will be unlocked.

My game play has not been affect in any way, shape, or form by any aspect of this April Fools joke. Sorry dude, two thumbs down, and a fart.

I’ve noticed that there seems to be a bug where certain items of the same type won’t stack. So far I’ve noticed Total Makeover Kits, Boxes o’ Fun, Blade Shards, Pristine Fractal Relics, and Communal Bonfire. Feel free to add others if you know of them.

They did stick figures in GW1 one year, I wouldn’t mind seeing it in GW2
