Yak’s Bend Server

The devs are aware of the break-bar issue and are currently working on a fix.

Here is a question. If I reinstall from the disk I bought will I still have access to HOT which I also purchased ?
All of your account information is stored in ANet’s servers, not your computer. So yes, you will still have access to HoT.
There are, any number of things that you might go for. Legendaries are a possible option. The old ones are fully completeable, and the new ones you can at least start. Raids, Dungeons (despite what people might say), Fractals, PvP, WvW (again, ignore the naysayers), leveling mastries, working on collections, making ascended gear.
Right now I’m working on Spirit Crafter, Treasure Hunter, and Exotic Hunter collections.
P.S. Props on the Monster Hunter reference

The devs are already aware and are working on a fix, but no ETA yet.
This has already been addressed in the bug forums. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Fractal-Encryption-Key-5-Packs-gone/first#post5954528
Halo potion, lumi armor with Dwayna gauntlets, maybe Radiant chest piece if you have the AP, and yes, ghostly infusion.
Blame Comcast, they’re responsible for just about every other lag and latency issue in the US. It wouldn’t surprise me if your connection to the game got bottlenecked when your game data hit their networks here in the US.
ginryu, were I you I would keep an eye out this Tuesday, as that’s when the big patch hits. Included will be a new festival event in DR, so a pass may go on sale then.
I don’t know why anybody pays any attention to KDB given how far off they’ve been in the past. Speculation based on their figures is pointless.
With the mega-server system guesting is redundant at this point. It used to be that you PvE maps were server exclusive. Under the new system multiple servers share the same map, with new map instances being generated as existing maps reach their population cap.
I actually had a similar idea, and made a suggestion thread to cover it. Feel free to take a look if you want.
Bomber, a refund isn’t always feasible, or even possible depending on how long players have had their items. Even if they did get a refund, it would be a gem refund, which means ANet isn’t getting any extra money that way. Also, most unfortunately, not everyone can afford to send their friends and families money for such things.
I like this idea. It would clear quite a bit of my bank space of skins I don’t use often.
Bumping threads is against forum rules, and your question was answered.
I’ve seen a lot of flak going around about the new account item slots, but no suggestions or ideas for what to do with extra convenience items except to request refunds, which isn’t always a viable option.
I had an idea of a gifting system, which people could use to send already purchased gem store and trade-able convenience items to players who might not have them. You could either send them to friends or family who don’t have them, or donate them to a pool from which players could receive them.
I know there would be security questions with such a system. I would go on to suggest that there be a limit of only one item of a given type (such as one copper-fed salvage-o-matic) be allowed per account, and then only if one hadn’t already been purchased and account bound. This would work only for QoL/Convenience items only. Any item gifted or received from the pool would be immediately account bound, and could not be re-gifted or re-submitted to the pool. Also, free-to-play accounts would not be eligible to use this system.
Thoughts?

I wouldn’t mind seeing an outfit, or series of outfits, based on the GW1 Margonites. Some might say the Zodiac armor is similar but the Margonites had a much darker theme.
Speaking as someone who has bought three copper-feds, I can safely say this… I don’t care. I got significant use out of them and even with the account slots I have no regrets. It is my intent to purchase the five slot package, put my copper-fed, silver-fed, airship and royal passes in them. Fifth item is up in the air. I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about.
There is not. You can either hold on to them as a memento (or hope that they are useful next season) or toss them.
Considering that JP’s tend to have an upward jumping pattern and that gliding works on a downward motion, I fail to see how gliding will have a significant impact on JP’s aside from possibly saving people from falling to their deaths and possibly recovering at a lower level of the JP.
It’s a known bug and a difficult one to pin down. If you continue with your own story line it’ll change back on your next chapter section.
I’ve been around the sun a few dozen times. I can give some insight as to why it is this happens. AKA, the harsh and terrible truth as to why devs won’t talk to you. Not a direct “you”, but the “you” in the general sense, so don’t take it personally.
#1: You blow things out of proportion. A change doesn’t actually have to be big before people will moan endlessly about it. This is the internet, and people are always making a big drama about something, and just because you’ve gone on to the forums and found a dozen people who agree with you doesn’t mean it is an issue even worth mentioning. You’ll get over it, and if you don’t get over it, bye. We don’t want you here.
#2: You can’t be placated. If you’ve ever tried to reason with a tantruming child, you’d find it is impossible. And of course, being an online videogame, the majority of complaints come from just that. The playerbase is young, full of hormones, and also full of life’s little frustrations over how unpopular in school they all are. You aren’t looking for a solution, you just want to be angered by something. The reason why the devs won’t subject themselves to your every beck and call is because it would only fan the flames. Calm down, kid!
#3: Your complaints are irrational. Yes, just because you’re mad about something doesn’t mean that it makes sense, or is practical in any sense. The fact is that the devs can’t make the sky blue and not blue at the same time. and yet people will be angry at others for not doing their crazy bidding Whether you’re factually wrong, the solution you propose is worse than the problem, or you’re upset over something that can’t be understood by the rational mind, what you want isn’t correct.. There’s nothing to gain from talking to someone who is insane, because sanity is a per-requisite of meaningful communication.
#4: Your complaints are illegitimate. There’s a lot of vitriol leveled at the devs not because what they’ve done is necessary bad, but because something is bad for you. Even if other players want things differently, you are there with your own uncompromising desires, dead set on trying to make the world yours instead of better. Sometimes you have an ulterior motive, sometimes you’re just trolling, other times you just don’t care what other people think. Either way, your “feedback” is flailing wildly in a crowded room: it goes nowhere and just makes people more upset.
#5: Your complaints are a minority. Angered players speak out, content players don’t. While it seems like everyone agrees with you, in fact it is an echo chamber where the same 10 people just yell at their own shadows for days on end. Ultimately, to change any complaint you have it takes resources, and if there are a handful of cantankerous players irate over something, it doesn’t mean it is worth dealing with. The quality of updates and changes is subjective, so if you find yourself constantly out-voted on the matter, accept the horrible fate that your life will be filled with nothing going your way.
#6: The devs already speak with you, but you aren’t satisfied with the exact manner or how much. It is a goalpost that can be constantly moved, so to the belligerent mind can never be sated. Yes, the emotional black holes out there are all aflutter when something isn’t said fast enough, or where they want it to be said, or whether enough is said or not. No matter how much of a dialogue is trying to be casually opened, the fact is that you will always be looking to punch a gift horse in the mouth..
In short: You aren’t worth talking to. Now, I’m going to add this on to the end:
#7: The devs are people, too. Fact is, the devs don’t know what the hell they’re doing. Most people don’t. Most things in life are gambles. They’re going to make mistakes, and they’ll feel bad about their mistakes, or they won’t realize that something is a mistake. Thing is, you’re the worst person to tell them their mistakes. For the 6 reasons above, but also because you’ve assigned a air of mysticism around their work, and thus see anything that doesn’t suit you as the actions of a defiant spirit of some kind. The whole “fester with rage in their public spaces for weeks on end” is not a good look. It is not always going to be immediate that a problem even exists.
I like this guy/girl. Good head on their shoulders. It’s practical, logical, and makes sense… problem is it’s precisely the kind of thing haters hate. Still like though.

The very fact that people advertise this makes the transaction questionable, thus one should also question the wisdom of anyone who willingly accepts such a transaction.
If you are referring to the toy minis, they are currently available in the gem store.
I’m getting 1kb on the 64bit client, the 32bit was normal.
JediYoda, please cite your sources as to why the dev in question isn’t up to date, and the interview in question as to DX isn’t in their skill set. Also, if you can get another dev to chime in on this issue it’d be greatly appreciated.
There was a twitter post saying there would be free items in the gem store this weekend. As for Black Friday… that’s mostly a U.S. thing, as any other country that does celebrate some form of Thanksgiving do so in a different day.
I’m seriously failing to see the issue here. Even if the interface for it has changed, it’s been a basic function of the game since launch, and it’s not the first time they’ve advertised it.
There was a developer response on Reddit in which they explained why they would not be upgrading to dx12. It basically boils down to the fact they would have to re-code the entire client for a very minimal increase in performance. You can read the full explanation here. https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/3ajnso/bad_optimalization_in_gw2/csdnn3n
The client news feed does not load on client start-up.
I won’t say HoT is perfect. It certainly has room for improvement. That being said, yes, I would, without a doubt, pre-purchase another expansion. Over all, I’m having a blast.
ANet doesn’t use torrents. All patches are done through the game client.
Is there even anything left of that horse at this point?
Bifrost will only become account bound if you pick stats/unlock the skin. It should still be sellable after you craft it.
Madness??!! THIS IS TYRIA!!!!!
Gem cards are not region locked.
I’m not familiar with the site, but unless they are an authorized retailer you may have got a fraudulent code. check this site for a list of authorized retailers. https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers
Where did you purchase this gem card?
Happy Anniversary Gaile!!!! The games wouldn’t be the same without you By the by… are they giving you your frog back yet?
I have 16, 3 I’m leveling. My main is a guardian/dragon hunter.
The gifts are still needed in order to make any of the original legendaries, regardless of how you acquire the precursors for them. So yes, they are still needed if you want to make one of those. As to your second question, yes, you can do map completion on multiple characters to get more gifts.
G2A isn’t an authorized retailer for GW2. Any key you get from them was obtained either by fraudulent means or from people seeking to sell their accounts (which is against the terms of use). You’d be served far better to buy from ANet or an authorized retailer.
Talk to a black lion weapon specialist while having the ticket in your inventory (not bank) and you’ll have the option to use it.
Just because there hasn’t been an official response listed yet doesn’t mean they aren’t working on it. If you reported it, especially in the bug forum, they are now aware.

Ooooooo, I like this idea. Please, make it so!
Re-skin your current back item with either set of wings, set them to be visible, then talk to him again. You shouldn’t need the originals. There has been a bug with him talking, which might be the issue, but that was supposed to be for the story mode. If that doesn’t work, see if you can find another scout. It’s supposed to work for any of them.
Speaking as someone who also has several alts that aren’t even close to unlocking the specialization yet, I have to say I’m glad for the change. I would have dealt with the 400 HP without much complaint but it’s much more fun this way. Heck I would have been happy with 300.
They’ve explained it multiple times already. Dungeons were generating too much raw gold, which caused an excessive amount of gold flowing into the economy over time. Bottom line is that it’s harmful to the economy.
Which is exactly why Silverwastes has been untouched in how long?
Oh wait, that money comes from selling mats and not the farm. You’ll have to excuse the 50g a week I make in Silverwastes as an extremely casual player without selling a single material as atypical.
Silverwastes isn’t being touched because it’s not generating much in the way of gold, but is generating materials. People are making money off it, yes, but it’s money that’s already in circulation, not newly generated.
It’s seriously taking people that long to unlock masteries? Seriously? Wow, I must have missed something. I also don’t understand why people are surprised about aspects of the story being gated behind mastries. The first round of the story was gated behind leveling. Mastries are a way of progression past leveling. Why shouldn’t the story be gated behind them?
As one who has played the betas, as well as one who has read the article releases and watched a lot of footage, the only thing that came as a surprise was the amount of hero points needed to unlock the elite specializations. While I do wish the number were lower, it’s something I can live with. Sorry, if anything I’m more driven to play the game than ever.
The slider to adjust how many items you want to sell on the TP has disappeared, so you can only sell one of any given item if you have a stack.
