NSP might be a good choice for you. We could use a havoc crew that ran independent and could put pressure on enemy borderlands and such. The possibility of finding good GvG matches would be very prevalent as well. We often get matched up against servers with more WvW guilds to compete with. You will always find a map to get on as we only Que up 2 maps on reset.

On topic, no. Respecs aren’t necessary because you can just get more points. If you could respec, any points beyond 300 would be pretty much irrelevant. Scheduled, very occasional respecs are okay, but people will just game the system if they have the choice to change.

This is exactly why we are taking the path we have in regards to respecs. Because of the fact that you can continue to earn WXP and World Ability Points, giving everyone a respec, even an incredibly expensive one would cause people to shift around their points as the current meta dictates. Right now, you will have the opportunity at the start of a season to rethink how your characters are set up and to spend your points accordingly, without feeling like you are forever bound to your choices. But, because you can’t just back out of them whenever, they have more weight. That’s why we have done what we have.

As much as I would love to spend gold to respec, This makes sense to me. Curse you Devon! Your logic has won the day.

No offense taken :p At this moment in time, I agree that SBI is undoubtedly the better server if you’re looking for a WvW experience. And yes, NSP destroyed us last week, aa we struggled to get people into WvW, but this week alone we’re seeing a steady increase.

That’s great to hear, I was afraid that with RISE transferring out that some of the organized groups would decline as well. I know NSP would be at a huge loss without Os.

GoM is dying? Please, we have a ‘very high’ population and constantly get overflows at boss events, I doubt that’s ‘dying’. True, GoM lost a lot of WvW guilds, but we’re recovering. When leagues are released and there is temptation to enter wvw, I can assure you that a lot of our PvE’ers will head into WvW. On top of that, theGoM community is great and has a huge variety of amazing guilds. If you’re looking for a great PvE and a challenging WvW experience, GoM is for you

Forgive me if I offend. I’m just speaking from what I saw last week in our match up. My server is suffering as well to transfers and guilds falling apart. (again my opinion from what I have witnessed) What I can say is that on labor day NSP took GoM Hills and Bay and held both for 14 hours each. During that time the largest group I saw trying to get either back was 15-20 people.

SBI has been fielding 30+ in our Borderland this week at almost all hours of the day. Reset SBI had 2 40 man zergs attacking us and had enough people in their borderland to easily fend off a 30 man zerg. Roaming in either borderland as a solo or 3-5 man group has been a nightmare on any borderland.

So these are my observations about both server.

Maybe it would diminish the need for 50v50 fights. Allowing guilds to split up and cause more chaos on the battlefield. Would potentially better small man combat and give many skills new purpose. I totally love the idea however I would be willing to bet the engine isn’t coded for it.

But if you think about it, scrubs like me to attract people looking for the easy kill when they are out roaming. So whats the harm in following the scrub until he / she gets jumped? Then you can either save the day, or wait till they die and get a potential good fight.

Did a little roaming in SBI BL and ran into some [XOXO] (Dank and a couple others). You guys are really skilled and gave me advice that I will heed and iterate on my build a bit more to pump in some more damage.

Lol, yea… the only [XOXO] I have ran into so far fight at towers and run inside at 10% health (tower-hump), or wait til they are 5v1 against me. They specifically are some of the wrost BM players I have seen yet actually. Made some guilds on JQ look like the popes royal guard.

Oh well, here is to hoping there are some actually honorable players in SBI…. ugh :/

Technically you can. My guardian has the trait that gives might on crit, I use doors to help stack might. Crit damage may not apply though as I don’t see much of a damage increase untill I get my might stacks pretty high.

Yep that would have been me. I tend to be objective based. Depending on how hard we are being hit. Depends on what all is going on, and how many people are around me since my build is meant for group play. Don’t get me wrong, I suck at PvP but still enjoy a good fight

I come from a server that has a very high PVE poplulation and a low-med WvW population that is disappearing every week. The PVE population could care less if WvW does well or not because they don’t even notice any difference in their farm drops or other PVE rewards if we do well or poorly. PVE players not contributing to WvW yet getting any kind of WvW reward bothers me a lot.

Anet please:
Stop rewarding people who don’t contribute to WvW with WvW items or bonus’.
Please?

NSP has many very active roaming teams and is always in need of just 1 more borderland defender. We have several small guilds dedicated to borderland defense. Some even dedicate themselves to fliping an enemy BL tower / keep and defending it for as long as possible. We also have a pretty good group of players who just love to get out and PvP roam.

It has been a fun week GoM and ET. I was waiting for this match-up for so long after I switched to NSP, but by the time it came so many of the guilds I had grown with on GoM had left. It was nice to finally test my mettle against ASH/RH/FGJ and of course BS again. Sometimes I wish I was in more coordinated small man groups, but I still had my fair share of good and fun fights.

Now I’ve got my eyes set on fighting either IoJ or SBI. You’re not getting away that easily RISE =p

NSP Server = No lag for the most part.

Stacking is part of the root cause of the lag issue. Yet the stacked servers recruit just as hard as they complain about the lag. smh… Server balance and revenue to upgrade server hardware is the best solutions.

Just my opinion from what I see from a lower / mid tier server.

I think this is very unlikely. Granted many many current WvW players want new maps. PVE players PVE to grow their “Stuff”. WvW doesn’t offer that, it offers zergs, lag, and armor repair bills. Yes we have had some boosts in financial gain with the new drops from lords, but nothing like going to Frostgorge and farming champs. Yes there is more challenging fights in WvW, but when the reward is nominal then many, many people just find it a waste of time.

With the “league” rewards coming out I expect that the end rewards will also have so little monetary value that casual WvW players will give it up for the spoils of PVE.

I find no problem with it. Shame on me for not clearing the PC’s before the NPC’s if the lord gets revived.

Max golems I’ve seen in lower tier match ups are 3-4. If you actually want to do real WvW try transferring to a lower tier server. The zergs actually fight each other without siege… basically everything you are looking for is in the lower tiers you just refuse to transfer to them so don’t complain about it.

This is true to a point. NSP has been known to drop a few golems and rush a borderlands. Or in the case of one commanders bday party they maxed the golem limit. However typically you wont see more than 6 golems with maybe 1-2 of them bieng omega’s.

Only 430 PPT? IoJ just did 600+ whole last week doing night cap (and IoJ is 1 rank lower than your server)…

Also SF used to do that to us for like always for almost 4 months (And SF actually had WP on all 3 keeps, which you don’t)… So, nothing new here.

IoJ has a much higher EU presence than NSP does. They just don’t have the numbers to defend much during our prime time.It was hard for us to have way points in our BL when fighting them. But made the matches more interesting. They did just get several transfers so I expect them to jump ahead of us in the next couple of weeks.

Anyone confirmed the drop for the Champ MOB’s in EB yet?

Very true. But given our recent luck, I’m guessing a BG/JQ/ET matchup is in the offing.

And don’t worry too much about PUG morale. A couple of months back, ET basically lost what meager WvW capability we had when most of our commanders decided to move to HoD or elsewhere. It was a low point, but even then we still had some die-hards who held on until we had an infusion of new blood.

Like I said, it all comes around. If GoM is free-falling, it won’t last forever.

I am sure I can speak for Colt, pita spoon, and several others in that I will continue to roll out there to defend and take things as long as I’m in GW. We understand that things aren’t going well for us now but we’ll bite, scratch, and kick even when out numbered greatly.

I was Impressed with the GoM players that kept going back over, and over again. I do hope that some of them learned something from some of the siege placement and use that we used to defend with. I also hope some of our NSP players learn to REFRESH SIEGE!!!

Your always welcome to come check out NSP. We have a pretty solid morning crew for our rank range, and have some of the most interesting women to talk to ;-). We do not however donate gold for transfers, but we do host a temple zerg that hits up all of the Orr temples and major champs on a nightly basis. Your “less fortunant” players could utilize this to get some gold fairly quickly. (I was averaging 10 gold per run, this was before the changes to champ drops)

Question: Did anyone from NSP who spent hours on end defending GoM bay wake up today feeling like they had a hangover?
