NSP is going to need all the help it can get with the season coming up. Predictions I have seen says we will be at the bottom of Silver so it should give any dedicated WvW guild very good practice fighting with multiple playstyles. NSP does have a solid NA primetime crew. Public Vent / Teampspeak , and the only Queues you will experience is during reset. But that only populates 2 maps at most. There is still a chance that we are at the top of Bronze, and if so we should have some great fights that could go either way. Not every match will be a blowout as we will face some great low pop but dedicated servers.
maybe it’s just a time of day thing, but I have to agree: YB isn’t very good at open field fighting compared to most other servers we’ve played. this doesn’t mean they never win, just that when they do we almost never feel like we got outplayed — we just got outnumbered.
from what I’ve seen, NSP is much better, although their population disadvantage is very apparent.

We are used to being outnumbered, double teamed, and beaten black and blue. The fair weathers will come out for rest and PVE if were going to get spanked. But a fair number of us just try to find good fights and not worry too much about PPT.
The next few weeks will be harsh for us though with everyone out to spawn camp Devon. I expect to see many people transfer out just so that they don’t have to pay the price for Devon announcing he was going to play on NSP.
bronze league top to bottom has only 200-300 rating difference.
SF, ET, FC, DH will have great fights against anyone they face. We can compete with the top of the league while still having to be on our toes against the bottom.
Can’t speak for T1-5 problems but since the leagues became 6/9/9 I am actually looking forward to season 1.

Out of the bronze servers I have faced in the last 2-3 months Fergs have the best chance at a win at bronze if NPS goes up. Even if NSP were to somehow pull off not going up a rank Fergs could cause major headaches and a upset win. You guys are a blast to fight with

NSP doesn’t seem to be throwing the match, at least.
They’ve actually got a pretty significant number presence, especially in the evening. Hell, NSP has curb stomped YB several times that I’ve seen when YB was running their large zergs.
Anyway, if NSP stays in the bronze league, I can imagine it will suck really, really hard for the rest of the people there. NSP actually has the numbers to compete in silver league, and they will most likely receive a massive influx or transfers Oct 17th if it looks like they’re going to be at the top of the bronze bracket.
I don’t know of a single player that intends to transfer to NSP I don’t expect a single guild to tranfer in either. More likely a few individuals will transfer out so that they don’t get roflstomped. Only the hardcore WvW dedicated will remain once the season ends.
I do not see why anyone would want to go for rank 15 in silver league. The rating gap from rank 14-15 is big enough that you will lose every match-up against rank 14 in silver league. Any of the servers high than that will be worst.
Only reason I want to is my guild and I love to get in big open field fights. The better the challenge the more fun we have. 30-40 Os vs 50-60 (insertguildhere) forces us to push our own skills to the limit.
NSP would greatly benefit from your presence. We offer website, public teamspeak, and a small but very dedicated group of players. You will NEVER experience a queue during Oceanic prime time, and should be able to recruit in mass. We will likely be at the bottom of the silver league and many of us find this as an opportunity to hone our personal skills against servers with much larger populations. Many many guilds / Servers will be out to completely destroy us to make sure Devon Carter will have a very bad WvW experience during the tournament. So If your a guild that prides itself on your ability and strength there is no better place to test yourselves and get stronger than NSP.

Do you actually think WvW is about fairness? I’ve seen people from both NSP and Ebay d/c to avoid getting stomped. Oh, and Ebay can thank their commander Walnut for what they get.
Have no clue where that comes from, but to answer your question. No I do not! Give me an advantage and I will take it. If I see that you have left a hole in your defense I will exploit it. I EXPRECT you to do the same. I’m not going to /quit. I will come back looking for my own advantage. If there is none obviously available, ill change my tactic and come at things from a different angle to support my server. Be it by changing maps for a while and coming back later, or calling in reinforcements if they are available.
I do believe that alt-f4ing before you can stomp me is stupid. If you won the battle then good for you. I’ll just take the time during and after the stop to think out a new possible strategy.
Next time you decide to lose a 1v2 don’t Self-DC to avoid losing after I kill your partner and nearly get you lol. Take your inevitable loss like a man. =P

I still don’t understand why this keeps happening. Anet has done research on WvW participation and population. I have seen the graphs that Anet has provided. Why is this data NOT UTILIZED??
Will a dev/administrator please provide us with the reasoning behind this? If there is logic that we are not seeing then it would help the community to understand if you explained it better.
TBH we have lost several of our defensive players in the BL’s. We could use the support in that area for sure. Currently we are at the top of the Bronze league, but many of us would rather be in the silver finding bigger and better fights to challenge ourselves with.
If your worried about Queue’s? Don’t be, We don’t have any.

NSP has been a blast for me. No queues, and lots of roaming fun for the whole family. We have have a great commander named Bird Song that is a total blast to play with as well. Give him a whisper, he can give you a good idea of what the server is like during your prime time.
Is that Northern Shiverpeaks? are the matches always as close as they are now? That is the kind of match up i am looking for – Not one where you are crushed every week or one where you are so easily winning you kinda think whats the point.
Not to sure about US though, with the location and everything.
We tend to have pretty close match ups except when we get blasted by SBI, or if a the bottom tear servers decide to take a week off.
We never get many transfers and people transfer off and fizzle out or pve and whatnot. Has nothing to do with not wanting to be in silver league. We will be happy anywhere there are fights, win or lose pointwise.
I expect you will become the new bandwagon server for bronze league. If I were a bandwagoner I’d be looking at NSP, HoD, SF…possibly DH (DH is doing very poorly this week so that would strike it off my list). To be honest I like NSP the most out of all of these servers since I like the roaming groups on your server.
Yeah its been confirmed, NSP is the new bandwagon server, it doesn’t take logic, based on their placement and standings, only way they would lose is if, somehow a silver leagues server lost rating fell and NSP took their spot, then NSP would be last place in silver league, in which case which ever server from silver league fell, would still probably have a field trip on us, unless of course it turned out to be another fallen GoM or DR or DH, then in which case, I think SF and HoD would duke it out for the bronze league. crosses fingers
How has this been confirmed? I haven’t seen any new guilds. Honestly seeing fewer guild or small guilds merging with larger ones.

If I understand the op correctly, It means dedicated Servers for WvW that are separate from the servers we now know. I would support this for multiple reasons. But adding more servers to the data centers might not be a financial feasibility. I love the idea, I just don’t know what the costs would be to add the servers needed to do so.

The only reason we’ve passed DH into 16th place is because they suck so bad.
Even as bad as Kaineng is tanking now, Its hard to believe that they will drop another 130-140 points that they need to move NSP up into the Silver tier. Not that its not possible, just hard to believe it will happen.
If kaineng continues to drop 50 points a week, all it takes is a single matchup with NSP and NSP can also gain 50+ points.
It really depends on the matchmaking. If kaineng has to fight higher rated servers they wont lose enough rating, but a single match with a lower rated server and you can tank over 100 points in a week.
It would likely take 1-2 dedicated guilds transferring onto NSP to do that. I know of at least 1 small guild, and a few dedicated players that have either left or dispersed. Some players may have merged with other guilds but that didn’t necessarily help the coverage. I personally don’t expect NSP to rise to silver, but would certainly enjoy the fights more.

Without the BL’s I wouldn’t do WvW. EB for my server is typically pugs kitten ing at the gate of SM and a few more organized players flipping camps and a tower or 2.
It is at least BETTER for more of the servers overall then before. I do find it funny though that Devon announced he was going to be on NSP… and they are poised to be at the top of the bronze league… whatever. hopefully they will get stacked hardcore now and bump themselves right out and into the silver league.

IoJ seems to be a having a Stomp or being Stomped matchups for 3-4 weeks already. It’s frustrating.
I feel like the all of the server transfers have had a great deal to do with this. Seems like several guilds have moved to the top part of the Silver tear to avoid the blobbing of the Gold tear. Same goes for the lowest ranked servers as well. Stacking has caused a population imbalance and has killed the fun for a lot of players. Just my opinion though.

I do not believe this will work. Dedicated WvW servers with a population limit might help some, but there is not real way to make things “Fair” in numbers. Ill stay on my low tier servers until I quit playing for one reason or another. If some other guild wants to come join us they are welcome to do so. Do not expect that to happen though.
I don’t understand how anyone can find these kinda matches fun if you look at PPT other then some of the guilds that hold a grudge towards IOJ. In this case SBI should be grateful that there are still people that are willing to show up and fight a constant uphill battle if no one showed up the rest of the week how fun would WvW be and at some point you will be in our shoes which I know a lot of the old guilds on SBI should understand. Personally I do not find matches that are blow outs to be fun at all being on the receiving or dealing end of it. It is not SBI fault its the match making system that makes these match ups I’m sure there are people on SBI that want that tougher match up.
Just have to find something fun to do. I like to find small group fights, Also like running with my guild trying to break up zergs. Surely there is something you like to do even when it stacked against you?

Silver league is going to have a stacked IoJ who have gotten a lot of transfers and probably KN and YB although I understand they’ve lost some guilds. So you might have fun fights on HoD, DH, or NSP against some servers but expect to get rolled over and nightcapped by the top guys.

From what I have seen while fighting them they have. If I were to guess I saw 4-5 new organized guild tags in the last match. Not enough to put them in the Gold tear but enough to make a big difference in their coverage.
NSP might be a good choice for you. We could use a havoc crew that ran independent and could put pressure on enemy borderlands and such. The possibility of finding good GvG matches would be very prevalent as well. We often get matched up against servers with more WvW guilds to compete with. You will always find a map to get on as we only Que up 2 maps on reset.

Where does IOJ rank right now? are they goign to be in gold or top of silver? middle of silver?
It has been posted but I cant seem to reply to it. I will contact the admin about that. NSP will rank in the middle of the silver bracket with 4 servers ahead of us most likely. Each of those servers have some decent organized guilds to fight that make for some fun matchups for us. Our WvW population may not be all that high but we are striving to be better.
