Found that when in the Dune roller and firing at walls specifically in the fire keep you must be up against the wall in order to get a hit. Attacks from any distance greater than 150-300 are out of range.
I think an Overhaul would be a good thing, Factions would also be a good thing, but the limits (if I’m reading this right) of 3 guild w/ 100 players each bothers me. The guilds on the servers make a community. I would loose out on playing with a large number of friends from other guilds if only 3 guilds could be in a “Alliance”. Some due to competitive reasons, others due to guild rules.
Check out the forums at nothernshiverpeaks.org and take a look at the guilds recruiting!
Why don’t you just buy gems and convert gems to gold instead?

Seems like there are things you have to buy with Geode’s? Think I would wait and do those last to prevent
Did you have Facet of Nature active?
@BlazeQ: What facets exactly did you have active? If you have Fury, Might, and F2, you wont be able to activate the Elite.
That’s exactly what I had active, but doesn’t make sense if I have 85%+ energy…
I have been getting this too, I also get it on the Glint Elite if I have 2 other facets + F2 going, even if my energy is over 50%.
How long have WvW players asked for this? 3 years? You finally make auto loot possible and only give it to the PVE community.
K thanks. Appreciate the love.
I hope he is getting some well deserved sleep.
You wont be able to access shield until after you are 80 and have started your elite specialization trait line. This is not a bug.
I got to spend about 4 hours in EOTM and got roughly 30% of Harold unlocked and god knows how many hours in HoT maps and got 25% of it unlocked. Looks like EOTM will be a good option to get the unlocks.
Open world: Herald can have perma swiftness, and shiro has non perma speed boost from his upkeep, and if you consider jalis road + blast good swiftness, that too. Tagging seems to be a non issue, and didnt have many problems getting tags on anything while testing a clerics revenant. As for mass mob tagging, its hard to beat necro.
WvW roaming: Stealth classes will still decide when to start the fight, and you’ll have many problems disengaging from fights, but you’ll have absolutely no issue chasing with shiro unless they stealth away. Condi build might have problems because it relies on maintaining melee range but it is viable (or more than warrior at least)
Zerg play: You have no really reliable access to stability without sacrificing a dodge roll, and you have few stun breaks and condi clears. A position in the back line is the safest place, but it can pull off a spot in the front with proper support.
dont play spvp (yet)
I found that in Zerg Play that a backline range support/Power build was a lot of fun.

Unlocking your elite spec is a training line in your training panel that costs hero points. You do need to have trained all the existing training lines before you’re allowed to put hero points into your elite spec.
If you’ve got all the hero points in the existing game you’ll have enough to train about half the elite specialization training line on launch day. The rest you’ll need to earn in the jungle or via the new system Tyler outlined yesterday from WvW. The number of points to fully train your elite spec is higher than other training lines – but hero challenges in the jungle are worth 10 points each, so it’s not actually as big as it appears.
Revenant hype just took a complete nose dive… There went half my weekend grinding hero points…
Why? At 80 you have all unlocked, then go to jungle to get 10x points
Do you not need to have the core hero challenges completed to have all unlocked? Not just the ones you get when leveling? It was my understanding that leveling to 80 would unlock all your core skills and you will need to do the hero challenges in the core world to have the 200 extra.

Twilight. Maybe with the next elite specialization….
I’m interested to see what people are looking at in WvW. I ran shiro/glint with Hammer and sword/axe. In zerg combat I tried to mainly use hammer at about a 900 range when engaging. In roaming small group combat I would use sword/axe primarily.
Gear: Soldiers armor with Holbrek runes, Zerk hammer w/ force/fire, Zerk Sword/Axe w/ Force/Air. Zerk Trinkets.
With soldiers Armor I was able to stay alive during a push/bomb. Yet still had enough damage output to be dangerous.
Any others that run primarily WvW want to share?
Great guild, I highly recommend them if you want to do Raids!
I think either Shiro or Ventari. depends on how many cry OP when they can’t beat someone really good at Rev in PVP.
Thankfully the fall shows are back on TV and give me entertainment enough to not think about GW2 until the 23rd.
I’m having a hard time even logging in.
Want to start out saying I had a great time in bw3 and felt that the Revenant class was top notch over all. One thing I did find extremely annoying was Coalescence of Ruin bugging out. Seems like if there was even a slight incline in terrain, a sharp decline, or obstacle such as a rock on the ground the skill would not work fully. I can’t count how many times that not only would the animation get cut off, but the 2nd and sometimes third hit wouldn’t go off.
Just something to look into.
Glint, Sword/Axe Hammer. Works well in WvW.
Kinda looks odd on Char. All I see is mist trail after dodge, but again its just “Fluff” so its not game breaking. Will not notice it at all after a couple of days.
Bumping this for my love of NSP. <3 welcome all the new players and guilds, as well as returning players!
1: Harold

The comander can place you in sub squads of 5 just like parties, buffs will be prioritized based on sub squad, same a parties.
I speculated the same, however without conformation I am still a bit concerned. This would make sense, will absolutely have to test this out.
Crap, I forgot to get a spear….
My revenant is soooo ready! Got lvl 30 scroll, tomes, ascended sets, bags, infinite harvesting, food/utility buffs, etc. I do want to craft another legendary before HoT though, but not sure which.
I’m going for The Juggernaut. I think the quicksilver splashes will look sick on ranged hammer. (hoping you guys thought of that)
:)

I would approve of this, or a fear element. Say 2 second fear as you land?
This is something I could get behind as well. Although since we can more or less do them back to back, I feel a 2 second fear would be too long.
1 second fear I would be very happy with.
1 second would work to if its “spamable”. I honestly don’t remember the cool-down time, I didn’t use it the last beta weekend. As it is, I just can’t see myself playing Malyx/condi builds.

I think its its own style really, because it has so many different flavors in PVE. Its all going to depend on how you want to play the character. I plan to do backline support/dps in WvW, and melee support/dps in PVE. Then again I can switch things out and go Frontline tank/dps in WVW and full backline support in PVE.
Not everyone is looking for the same qualities in a server. You mentioned that you were interested in small group roaming. If your group is good enough, take a look at some of the Tier 3 servers. There are actually teams of 3-5 roamers on maps that you can fight.
I wouldn’t recommend the other tiers in silver because most of the time players will be running with their respective zergs instead of splitting up. For my small man team in T5, we mostly spend our time killing uplevels and tailing zergs. Meh.
T4 has a good number of roaming groups/guilds. Will keep an eye out for yours when you finally get back up to T5
I really thought the displace was an amazing feature for the Revenant, and it had a lot of good uses, be it in PVE, PVP, or WvW. That being said it was also very broken in some aspects, such as moving immovable enemies, or ignoring stability. I am not very happy about the nerf, but feel like it was needed. I would like to offer a suggestion to add a 2 second fear to up to 5 players at the point the character lands. This would keep some of the uses that players used this for alive, while not breaking the game. EG: disrupting a stealthed thiefs stop, or to dissrupt a zerg blob and scatter people.
Just my 2 cents.
The only problem with Revenants being able to use Racial skills is that it will pretty much force people into playing certain races as there are some racial abilities (Asuran and Sylvari) that just shine above the others.
I would like for Racial abilities to be usable on the Revenant though.. It’d push for the Abilities to actually not suck. (Looking at you Jalis taunt)
Nah, I would still use a Char, and their racial skills are really really bad.
Need a back piece, 250 silver Doubloons, and The Colossus…
Roy, I’m not sure how much of a team you have with making the Revenant, but please be sure to pass on this post of thanks to them if you do. I’ve edited the first post to include them. With you being the face of the Revenant development, sometimes it’s easy for us to forget your team members.
This 100%
I have always played very tanky, but never had a great deal of fun. So I’m going to try to mix in a lot more DPS for this character. Build I started working towards is below:
I completely, totally disagree. Granted there isn’t a great deal of Hard CC for Revenant to use, in group play, removing 2 stacks along side what your team/group would be removing, almost makes it OP. If it weren’t for the lack of Hard CC’s I would say it is OP.
Thinking about it more, depending on how taunt affects stability, it could very well be OP in some group settings.
Ran this weekend mostly in WvW, Did solo roaming, group roaming/havoc, and even joined in on a pretty large guild raid. I had absolutely NO problem with Condis.
Build was Glint/Shiro and rarely ever left Glint, I believe the reason that I had didn’t have the problems that some people had, is that I didn’t try to play the class as a front line tank like I was a guardian or shout warrior. Back line support, range DPS, and burst damage on those unfortunate enough to get separated. When the back-line did get focused, Glints heal was my salvation. Not enough props for this one skill!. See build below.

I am happily drinking the Cool-Aid here! I had the best time this weekend that I’ve had since the beta weekends pre- gw2 release.
Personal Opinion here:
I think Unrelenting Assault is exactly where it needs to be. Damage is not so high that mobs or players can be burst down with 1-2 hits of it. Damage is high enough that it doesn’t feel under-powered and useless. Having the evade also doesn’t make me afraid to use it in larger combats.
2 years I think
Is there another class? So many rolls that can be filled… So much potential…
You have to toggle it to English. Icon with the American flag on the left side.
“PVE that isn’t terrible”
Seriously though, I just hope that its still as friendly to casual players as the core is.
Rifle might make a cool condition weapon.
I seriously hope not. They need to do something unusal, like a dagger as a condi range weapon.
How is that more unusual than a weapon only used by 2 professions?
Except that it’s already a ranged weapon. Dagger is not a ranged weapon.
Daggers could be a ranged weapon, Just like staff can be melee or ranged.
I think its going to be pretty solid by then. Honestly I don’t expect too many more tweaks between now and then. Soon shall see though!
