[One] really doesn’t play for points either. We roam map to map looking for fights, possibly flipping keeps or coming to the aid of our server if a fight is brewing since we’re always located in the servers TS3.

Us [One] guys are the lunatics who go golem crazy in the morning hours. It’s just for fun, fighting these lower tiers is all about WXP till we eventually get up in tiers. :p Why not use it! It’s great the things you can accomplish when your guild works together.

But overall, like last night, and many other nights before that. You guys had supreme numbers by far like 3-5 guilds vs just ours :p. Splitting your forces up will give you more rewarding fights. Us [One] guys still ran into you, like last night for example when you guys outnumbered us 2:1 since its the closest thing we can get for good fights in this tier.

During NA hours, you guys are definitely much stronger then yaks bend. I hope if we run into you guys again, you split them massive groups you guys have up a bit though.

In the lower tiers, you will only find worse guilds in open field combat. If you’re wanting to excel as a guild other than slaughtering pug groups – PPT might be something you’ll care about. I would think you would want more fights with us [One] guys, I am sure you guys picked up a bit more things in your arsenal this week after fighting a stronger guild than just a normal zerg, yeah?

Here’s a screen shot of about 20 Yak’s Bend who took a portal into a fully upgraded tier 3 northwest tower when no walls or gate had been down since it was flipped back to green, epitome of class:

The second screen shot took place 1 minute before the first. You can see us running to save the tower. The gate was still up, we thought we had time, until a number of yak’s bend ported right up onto the wall and rushed the lord as evidenced by the first picture.

The second screenshot clearly shows the gate heavily damaged probably below 20%. What happened I think was that we got in, then someone repaired the gate.

The mini map also shows 1 friendly player in the tower on the second screenshot. Based on the position of the rest of the friendly green dots on the minimap and the 4 people still standing in front of the gate I am inclined to believe the Op on this one.

Out of the servers you say your are considering I would recommend SBI. However I would like to say NSP would welcome you with open arms. We could use a solid dedicated guild to help boost our player base.

The sum of badges is only meaningless to people that wvw a lot. People wvw a lot because it’s fun. If someone in PvE does dungeons a lot because it’s fun they will also have a surplus of tokens for gear.

Difference is, while mr PvE enjoys his time in dungeons he is getting 1g+ per run. Mr wvw gets blues greens and spikes if he is lucky.

Not to mention less than 60 tokens per hour, on my server at least.

The mats will absolutely drop in WvW. In addition, generally speaking, we are putting a heavier emphasis on finding long-term solutions to redressing the reward imbalance between PvE and WvW. I can’t claim they will ever be 100% equal all the time, but we would like it to never be the case that you are choosing between playing WvW and getting good rewards. The two should be one in the same.

That’s actually the best news I have heard since I started doing WvW. Just hope a solution can be found sooner rather than later. I’m seeing more and more hardcore and talented WvW players quit every day. Especially after the last 2 living story updates being so fruit full to the PVE population on my server.

Those with Legendary weapons already will have a nice time. Having the ability to switch stat boosts ooc depending on what build or job your plan on doing would be very nice. Very nice indeed.

I know that the red rings in the other 2 pics could be taken for the gate hole shots, but as I said. too busy tryin to stay alive than get pics for the National Geographic. but believe me, the first ac shot that hit me was nearly to the repair npc. Cant do that by any other means than the window-adjustment glitch. just sayin.

I don’t see anything in this picture. Just some peeps and a couple of rams. I have used the AC to hit the back wall on many occasion, but have never been able to get it to center target the ground. I guess I need to go server hopping to learn these tricks of the trade. Also if your needing to get screenshots for proof go out and suicide to get the absolute proof. Secondly don’t post them here on the forum. Send Screens, and every bit of relevant information to Anet directly. Forums are just going to get you infractions / banned.

Please remember that none of us can control the actions of another player, and their is no police force in WvW to make sure the fights are fair…. Take what you can get, Hold what you can, and have some fun. Don’t let one person ruin your fun because their is always a counter tactic.

Look at the red ring on the far left in the first pic, and the ring on the far right on the second pic, Both look to me as if someone is using either a zoon hack or the windowed mode exploit. I was not there to see this first hand so am going by what the pictures show. This isn’t something that can be policed by any server or guild. I do not believe SBI, or the SBI guilds would condone the use of exploits or hacks. Every server has their bad apples even if they aren’t aware of those individuals are doing such things.

I can’t speak for Yak’s Bend, but SBI doesn’t play favorites!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not accusing anyone of playing favorites. Just think you both might be fighting to keep your own rank positions from dropping. Which you have done a very good job of btw. Reset was very good for NSP even with a good number of our dedicated players out on vacation, and the new PVE content keeping the weekend warriors, and or causal WvW players like myself desiring gold over WvW zergs. I don’t know about EB but I haven’t seen any super large zergs in our BL, so that has been a blessing. If anything I think this week is going to be very rough for NSP, but If I can get any of my guild out of PVE we may be able to use this matchup to hone our small group ability’s. GL and have fun!

I hear ya, Even if they did a Guild arena like they did with guild halls in GW1 I am not sure people would be happy. Especially if it followed PvP skill nerfs and Equipment limitations. Too many people have learned that WvW gives you a greater range of builds because you can tweak your equipment slightly enough to make other builds viable. I see GvG bieng in WvW for a long time coming.

More recently I have also seen a ton of new commanders pop up that make me question why I still do WvW. But then I have to remind myself “each to their own”. I don’t how many people I have upset because I don’t see things the way others see it and just try to play the game the way I enjoy. But having people complaining and coming to me crying because I wasn’t where they wanted me to be has become cumbersome.

NSP (Northern Shiverpeaks) is a server full of roamers and small groups. We do have our zergs when needed but mostly it’s a good community that likes to look for fights and kill the opposing players. Always seem to be outmanned, but we are pretty consistent if you are looking for a ppt server. We are NOT a bandwagon server. We have a loyal WvW population and do have a community vent server. NSP is a pretty heavily PVE populated server but as far as WvW we have been and will likely remain a tier 6-7 server. With out numbers and coverage, this seems to suit most of us. Just throwing my hat in for NSP if you are looking for a permanent home because you will not be disappointed if you chose to make it your home.

Biggest thing I love about NSP is how much of an impact an organized 5-10 man team can make on the server. My guild will typically either roam or defend with a 5-10 man crew and have been given nothing but love from the server. We aren’t the best, we loose more fights than we win, yet everyone has been very kind to us and, very appreciative to what we do accomplish. I <3 NSP!

Guess where they all are…Living Story. My server had more then 100 people doing them the other night and had like 7 commanders NONE of whom i had seen in WvW…EVER.

Nothing against LS, or PvE commanders, but literally no one is in WvW. I’ve never seen this before..

I honestly thing everyone just up and transferred. Anyone seen a Smitry, Strong Blue Wind or Mercenary Bodyguard in their WvW yet? :i

Smitry had to take a Leave of Absence to finish school. Strong hasn’t done much WvW in months, and No word on Merc. I couldn’t even get half my guys out of LS stuff for our weekly practice and this has me concerned for reset. TBH I am getting very burned out with WvW right now. PvE players don’t want to join WvW guilds because there isn’t anything in it for them. WvW players can’t make any gold in WvW so they PVE just to keep up. A few of our WvW guilds have fallen apart or transferred to severs with a higher WvW population due to the decline in our own WvW numbers.

We enjoy being outmanned and doing our very best to hold off larger servers. If we had an somewhat = population it wouldn’t be half the challenge. We also don’t have a public TS3. That’s what Ventrillo is for. Besides, many of our guilds are very close knit and work very well together. It would be crazy to try and incorporate another guild….

Ok sarcasm portion of this thread is over. Hope you find a server you feel more at home on. NSP has been mine since pre-release and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else simply because its home. Every guild / player should find that kind of home.

So after much discussion XOXO and I have made amends. In order to preserve the great reputation of XOXO I am here to fully apologize for any things I may have said or done this week to the great players of DH and SBI.

As part of my agreement with Andromeda he will be using my guild dues for next week as reparations that will be paid out to the 5 people I disrespected the most from SBI and DH. Unfortunately Andromeda wont be online much if at all this week as one of his 5 cats is going into his second round of chemotherapy to decide which 5 players will each receive 7 gold each Torridstoic.7492 has volunteered to make the decision because we thought having an NSP player might not be fair.

the extra 600 AoE for the basic shot means third floor trebs in SM should be able to deal damage to the Overlook outer wall. The other two keeps however, are fine and safely out of range. Will suck to be the Red Team though.

Nice helpful writeup. Commanding is something Ive often considered doing. Not sure I would.

Question about the basic stack… Why list area stealth? Ive yet to see a use for it in any composition from a static stacked position because of its short duration. Generally Id opt for veil/mas invis and if no Mesmer every other situation I’d opt for static or might. But you didn’t list AoE retaliation, which I’ve found has its place in some situations such as gate stacking.

If I were to guess…. If you stack on a smoke + blast you can get a much longer invis than using veil. Would be nice for entering a area like the hills lord room when portal bomb isn’t always an option or if they have enough siege to take out a mezmer before he/she could get the portal open. Would suggest having your heavies / ele’s stack in this situation.

It depends also on how many players from each guild are present. if you have 2 players from guild X and 3 players from guild Y. Guild X will have to wait as guild Y was given priority since they had more players.

What are you talking about? Of course, you suicide against thousands of players when you’re alone. You’re supposed to kill up-arrows with greater numbers; it’s not ok for them to be in wvw, and they need to be aware of this. However, I wasn’t talking about that stuff. I’m talking about how you shouldn’t be upgrading camps and watching them. Also, balloons.

Honestly, this is more about balloons now. Two NSP are confirmed to not have the balloon, and I suspect you lack one too. Stop clinging to your delusional idea of fun, go get the balloon and start having some real fun.
