Progress has been made. Some of it good, some of it not so good.
Eh, the same sex buzz thing has died away. The real issue is the writers fascination with the twigs and their taking top billing in the game.
No new classes, no new weapons skills, no new playable races, a few new explorable areas. Yeah, LS is a colossal failure to the things I like. Shine up the pig real nice and keep selling hard you white knights.
If the company comes to their senses, we’ll go there. If they stick to the LS foolishness, probably not.
New races, new classes, new zones. I keep waiting. I was/am happy for the three new zones we’ve gotten the last twenty-eight months. However, if that’s it, meaning a few zones here and there, is all we have to look forward to over the next twenty-eight months, than I want to know and I’ll find another game that better fits what I like to do.
Anet’s poor ability (policy or not) to answer simple questions is annoying and frustrating.
Can someone explain how DB has a 2.5% chance at FA who is only 65 rating points away from them and SBI is at 2.9% when we’re 250 away and DR is 1.9% at 256 away?
Heck YB is less than 250 points from top of the leader board and they show as 0% chance of hitting tier one.

GW1 and GW2 aren’t really comparable for new contents. The LS model and the expansion one are really hard to line up.
However, with that said, the thing I appreciated most about the expansion, new lands to explore and new classes to play are missing from GW2. Yes we’ve seen some small new areas opened up and I do appreciate those, but overall, the LS model has been a failure in my eyes.
Judge for yourself.
Anet’s business model is placated on the LS. With the exception of three or four releases, the LS has been between horrific and terrible.
No new weapons (not skins, those we get in droves), no new classes, no new races, snail’s pace of new zone releases. Changes to existing maps replaces what was there – netting nothing ‘new’ especially for anyone who recently started playing the game.
Run the LS, but lets get some traditional expansion content boxed up and put on a shelf for $xx.
For two years, he has been holding the same party.
Dang it! I must have misplaced my invite. That sounds like a party worth attending!
Seriously though, short of the temporary mini games (Halloween, Wintersday, SAB) those mini games are very lightly attended outside of it being a daily achievement. With all the things the devs can spend their time on, I’m wagering that new mini games are not high on the list. I hope I’m wrong and we’ll see something new next year.
Thanks for your efforts!
Some of us have been harsh (deservedly so at time IMO) but we should also recognize when someone is making a difference.
It’ll be a happy to day when an entire match can go by and I don’t witness or read (in game map chat) of an exploit.
There are a number of synonyms of ‘bad’ I have for that idea. Most would come across as ‘kitten’.
Coverage wins. Sure, a smaller force occasionally outwits/plays a larger one, but its always the exception, not the rule.
Its unfortunate that the story has to turn the player into a dunderhead to fit their narrative. I don’t mind some predictability but can you reduce the ‘Captain Obvious’ dialog just a tad?
People fight in EotM? o-e
Everyone once in awhile there is a nice three way collision of massive proportions. Just often enough to be entertaining. I usually just roam on a BL and get 1v? battles so its a nice change of pace.
Fear not! The white swords are being adjusted. All will be well!
Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
Odds can be found here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/wuv/Matchup-wishlist/4559117
Thats for any one given week. The odds I was talking about was to get them three consecutive weeks.
Given all the things that point to them not giving a care about WvWvW. Matchups like this, and what happened to Magumma, SOR and a few others for months on end, just screams indifference.
For the third week in a row, we’re matched up with a server rated 120+ points over us. They owned the match-up. Three weeks in a row….
I don’t even want to take the time to calculate the odds of us getting them three weeks in a row.
DB was only 80 points below FA, but did that happen. Of course not. Why have even remotely even matches right?
Edit : Did the math. Of course I don’t know how they actually base it, but its around .0125% chance.

Thats Anet for you. They obviously spawned them with their dev tools to make us angry.
Sure they did. However that was shot on a different server set (think Alpha or Beta testing) which doesn’t interchange with our live servers.
They should really remove EotM entirely. I know some people enjoy it because it is easy and provides massive karma/loot. But it really adds nothing to the game at this point and does slightly detract from the numbers in WvW.
Still need something for the queues, and not just in T1. For instance, even after the mass exodus after the end of season 2, HoD still managed to queue EB at the start of season 3.
There’s 3 other maps, go queue them ?
People need to get off the EBG ktrain mentality.
Another person telling everyone else how to play. How lovely.

You’re not the only one out there looking for those achievements. Start your own recruitment drive and organize a map to get it done. Don’t wait for someone else to do it.
This has been going on for months.
Its a lot of time wasted to not get the reward.
I’m sure there are other threads about this, but the search option is not working either.
I don’t feel for anet. The people complaining about stagnant matchups and the people complaining about lopsided match-ups would both be placated by two things. One easy and the other more difficult.
The first is to have human interaction in the match-up process. Anyone who used their brains could have seen that the match-ups were ludicrous and they could have avoided it. But, instead, half the matches lopsided – so much so that its making the regulars not even log on.
The second thing is all about population imbalance. It may be the toughest issue they’ll ever have to deal with. There are lots of ideas about that one, however, nothing has been done about it.
It’s one week. #2 and #3 should both queue up #1’s home BL and paper it.
It’s that or sulk. Then the week will be up, and you’ll go back to your usual tier’s matchups.
Its now been two weeks of this (for us anyway) and that’s a whole lot easier said than done.
Its not sulking to point out that Anet has the ability to prevent this from happening, but makes no effort.

Some days it seems they ANet cares, and others you’re getting rolfstomped by thirty man zergs.
The stomping seems to be winning.
I’d rather have even (or as close to it as possible) than the four stomp fests that are out there now.
Yeah, 7 had 8 and 12 last week. This week, we’re that 11 instead of the 12. 7 was closer to 6 than either of us but no, give DB another K-train week in all non NA prime-time hours.
Not annoying enough to quit the game but enough to spend more time in EOTM then getting steamrolled every time you put a toe outside.
Disband the high population servers to fill in the lower populated ones.
See how that works?
The game needs an expansion but it doesn’t look like its every going to happen. ANet’s joined at the hip to this LS disaster of content adding.
I actually got a laugh about Anet asking for suggestions to a change on something that was better before they did it.
Here’s a suggestion, change it back. Add a new section for great new ideas you have and label it “New people who apparently can’t figure out what millions of others were able to – come here”
Zammoros said “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”
Grab your wallet and hide the kids – you’re about to be taken for everything you own.
I was hoping for the 2012 events. One of the best Anet has ever done (GW1 included). 2013, while good, pales in comparison.
I can’t speak for everyone, but one guy in our guild has recently hit 101 pre cursors from the toilet. Its what he does. He invests everything to get materials to plop in there. My wife and I have over 8K hours between us – no drops and nothing from the toilet (but we don’t invest much of anything into it). She’s bought four pre’s and I’ve bought two. Anecdotally, I’d say most people are buying.
Yes, the way RNG is implemented is one of the things that truly sucks about this game. Sure the mediocre story telling and the “play our way – not the way you like!” implementation get the most press, but RNG will be thing that will continually annoy me until it pushes me off to a different game.
Leave the bottom tiered servers alone. Disband the top three and let them populate the other tiers.
You can sell a legendary, but you can’t sell an ascended item…… more brilliant logic…..

Is there, or is there not, an expansion being developed?
She can’t answer that. Either she knows, in which case the company policy forbids her from discussing it or she doesn’t know, in which case she doesn’t know the answer.
FWIW, they need an expansion. In my opinion, the living story is a miserable excuse for new content.
Molitov Rocktail!
’nuff said
2vs1 is the name of game. No change needed.
The exhaustion idea has merit, however, a limit of three seems a bit small considering you may want to quickly build a number of defensive siege when you see a blob storming your keep. I’d wager the griefers won’t be dissuaded no matter what cap is put in place. They’d just wait it out.
One small tweak, perhaps, would be to not allow flame rams to be created inside a tower, camp or inner keep (SM & Garrison). At least force the griefers to use something that has a modicum of value.
I think a system that allows siege to be destroyed by the player base would be a better way to go. Some sort of approval where some number of players concur that a piece of siege should be destroyed in any given area. It would be a lot harder to get a group of griefers together to remove siege than it is for them to create it.
40+? wait till u see SBI this season. 24/7 queue blobs
What time is that happening? Outside of reset night, I only see EB with a queue for a couple hours during NA primetime. Did we get an influx of SEA players or something?
We have this focus group that said this is a good idea. Making this change will be AWESOME and we’ll rake in the cash! Its a sure fire winner!
We’ll call it NEW COKE!
Yeah, you may think you have a good plan……
Its only anecdotal, but the players (that are left) that I interact with want expansion content as well. We all think the LS methodology is a poor substitution. A paid for, boxed expansion of the world with new races, weapons and skills is what we’ve been wanting. Unfortunately, it seems A-net is betting the bank on their LS model.
It was a waste of time an energy to rework a system that may marginally help a few players (apparently the dumbest they could find) but annoy the rest of the player base.
Guild mate of ours has now crafted 81 precursor in the forge. Yes he dumps every coin he has into buying exotics to craft them, but he’s the luckiest RNG SOB we know. (guild message keeps a running total so we don’t lose track).
My wife and I have so far crafted (or gotten as a drop) ZERO. Thousands of hours, thousands of gold.
RNG for one of the shiniest trinkets in the game is a miserable mistress and (other than Scarlett) the single worst decision Anet has ever made.
Get stomped for a month or have a tagline from a random know-it-all poster?
Yeah, we know the way to go.
Not unhappy, but disappointed. I find myself going back to play GW1 more frequently then logging on to GW2. Its to bad that a ten year old game with its lack of a z-axis is still more ‘fun’ than what they made GW2 to be.
The other issue, rarely mentioned, is voice communication. With the home servers we have a fixed point for people to talk (be verified etc.). Unless ANet is planning on adding their own VOIP, a pivotal part of WvW play will get lost.
Here is why I am against an expansion – I do not want them taking development resources away from improving and adding to the game bit by bit to develop a larger chunk of content that we wont see for a year and will have to pay for. To me, that makes no sense whatsover for us to want.
The LS has added so little to the game that it makes zero sense to not want an expansion.
