If you’re on a lower tier server and don’t like it, transfer. If you’re on a higher tier sever, why do you care how the folks in a lower tier play?

No need to go to a GW1 mentality. GW1 is a better game for me so I still go there for some fun. I keep holding out hope that this game turns the corner (stop the boring LS releases and make an expansion).

Totally indifferent. While the story so far is off to a better start than the last LS – I’m bored by another Sylvari focus. Nothing about the sylvari is compelling and Anet is jamming them down our throats.

Its a overzealous censorship tool. My favorite is this contraction that gets caught all the time.

I know the dragon is the big bad that we have rally the races to to fight. That’s fine and dandy. Its predictable, but fun.

However, saying that the world has to come together is a vast overstatement. There are no Elonians, Canthans or anyone outside our little sliver of Tyria present. If the ‘world’ were really in danger, there would be a lot more than five races to rally to the cause.

I suppose most of it can be attributed to hyperbole, but I don’t like that its a reminder of the limited access we have of the ‘world’.

I’ve not been able to resolve why we haven’t gone straight to the pact now that we know the dragon is loose. Or, why the leaders of the nations, who know what we did to Zaitan, wouldn’t bend over backwards to hear what we have to say.

If you look to the NW – in the hashed out part of the map, there is a dead body (skull). Perhaps that is causing the problem for some of us.

These characters will be front and center for the next several months. This is their story.

I gave up expecting my character to have any real focus in the author’s world. Once you get that understanding, you can get back to smashing buttons in all the fun things that there is to do.

My wife and I play and we are in our forties. We have a friend from GW1 who plays and is deep into her sixties.

As for housing goes the only way we will see this added is in the form of instances, unfortunately it could never be added the way Archeage has done out in the open world.

I have lil to no interest in instanced housing as it defeats the purpose of this sandbox esque feature in the way I enjoy playing.

But considering we have seen development time focused on over 250 items in the gem store, Anet having around 300* employees, and their last quarterly earnings, it’s fair to say even if I wouldn’t care other players would love it.

Like many other permanent features and content needed in this game to retain players, I’m all for it.

WvW will get some of the long standing items addressed when the time is right. Maybe that will be as soon as those million Chinese users do the math on how long it’ll take to get the WvW achievements.

For example: there is stuff like “Magic find changes/looking for group tool/wardrobe/etc…” those are more like actually features and therefore not really content.

On the other hand there is stuff like “Tequattle is now a Hardcore Boss/Complete revamp of sigils and runes/The destruction of Lions Arch/etc…”. These are changes to already existing content and therefore isn’t ‘new’ but changes to ‘old’ content.

Some of those features and changes were nice, but don’t give players a reason to start playing again. New content (like mostly in the form of an expansion) make players that either left the game (to do something else) a reason to come back and play again and/or make the game even more actractive for new(er) people.

Stuff like the wardrobe, changed sigil/runes, etc… might be nice, but it doesn’t give people who left the game a while ago something to do. (My friends, for example, won’t say something like ‘I have to go back to GW2 because they added a wardrobe to the game’.
New content gives people (new) stuff to actively do

Exactly. The white knights won’t believe you, but that is exactly the problem. They spend the time refining or changing the things we already have. Many of us (probably most of us) want new – as in it never existed before.

A dungeon path or a new fractal is small potatoes. I want to explore these vast areas under the clouds, play new races and battle new enemies. I might be foolishly getting my hopes up that something like this comes out of the next living story, but I’m going to foolishly do it anyway.

They play all the time. They just don’t pop up their Anet tag (unless they’re trying to get all the enemy agro).

They should have had a three week tournament. All positions were pretty much locked up at that point.

Release an expansion or watch the exodus accelerate.

Their cost saving measure worded so it seems its for the player base is fully implemented…. and I don’t like it.

Nothing more than a cost saving move that doesn’t help the player base (except the people who demand that others be near them).

I’ve earned about 400 ranks since ascended was introduced and I’ve gotten two drops. Teq has dropped five ascended chests for me in the same time. WvW is weaksauce in its rewards where PVE pays off. Maybe someday that will change.

More Anet support and promotion of getting players to zerg.

I didn’t know that they were going to pick up where we left off – at least I haven’t read anything that specifically states that. Is there a reason why they’re not starting the same way the NA and EU servers did as it comes to the living story?

Keep reducing your model limits etc and that might help.

Getting account bound AP is something. I’m more disappointed that were getting the forthcoming megaserver disaster instead of realistic AP.

WvW has never been fair and will never be fair.

So be aware of the lack of fair, for it will snare and scare your derrière mon frère.

Mark my words, they’ll raise that cap some day.

Its also time wasted on frivolous stuff instead of fixing/improving the game itself.
