They didn’t nerf the graphics for anything BUT their push into E-sports. It has absolutely nothing with trying to make the game run easier; they just want it to be easier to “watch.”

They’re not come out an say this (heck, they don’t come out and say much of anything), but it sure looks like its the case.

Maybe they need more time to make the option a user level one but wanted to do something immediately to try and promote their esport endeavors.

I watched one match yesterday the score was 501-500. Obviously a close match, but I was still bored pretty quickly. If a match that comes in that close can’t entertain me, none will.

Maybe if they had a way to let the view follow the action their own way (the GW1 model was good for me) it would have been better.

pvp has been the blessed little child lately.

wvw went from fun with limited rewards to boring with less rewards to boring and restricted minor rewards.

If you don’t want keeps defended, remove the waypoints completely.
If you don’t want usable rewards in wvw, just stop pretending and stop giving anything.
If you don’t want players in your pretty but boring maps, keep the desert BL just as they are.

QA has taken a serious downturn.

I’m disappointed that they took the time to nerf visual effects (doesn’t matter if you wanted that or not you’re going to get it!) , but they didn’t fix the numerous bugs in the precursor crafting.

They couldn’t even be bothered with giving a status update.

Communication is a serious failing with GW2.

Bringing back the old maps will not fix any of the problems that they had before, but it will at least give us back a fun wvw map.

They said it would probably be back one day…. but not soon enough if you ask me.

In EB, sadly.

It’s gotten to the point where sometimes a 40 queue is seen in EB and there are requests to the queuers in TS go into homebl, but nobody will do it. They’d rather sit in Lion’s Arch then go into the borderlands. I can’t say I blame them much.

And to be fair, everything in EB third is so close and quick to keep tabs on, it feels more home than the rather large and spaced out actual home.

I go back to our BL once in awhile, but I just can’t stay long. Its not fun and its not engaging. Any content that runs the gambit of annoying to boring is not going to keep anyone around for long.

At least fun can still be found on EB like it used to be. The new BL’s might have made EB more populated by funneling unintentionally funneling wvw players to something that’s not a hot mess.

You can see the higher tier servers and they’re generally busier.

They might all be full so you might not be able to transfer in.

I’m on SBI too and EB is the only map you’re going to find any appreciable volume of people.

I only went to EOTM once in a while. Now with this terrible desert map, I go there more frequently because EB is queued.

I was looking forward to the dessert BL and after trying it out a few times, I’m liking it less and less. Lots of little annoyances (among a few big ones) just don’t make it as fun as the alpine ones.

The number of bugs and glitches has been easily tolerable. I’ve only run into a couple that were anything but a nuisance.

After reading that, all I could think of was that k-trainers gotta k-train.

While the curious side of me wants to know everything, I’ve been happy with the information that they’ve offered to date. It could be rose colored glasses, but the new WvW map looks like it could be a blast and I’m all for exploring new areas (hoping for more than just a few new zones) and the guild halls.

As for economic changes: I wonder how many of the speculators were/are alpha testers……

They’re not supposed to do it, but if they know something is going to be valuable, they can just ‘hold’ on to their drops instead of marching them off like they would normally do.

With the same writing team involved in the expansion that were behind the Scarlet fiasco, I don’t expect much quality or consistency in any of the stories.

As long as there are new maps to explore (more than a few dang nab it!), mechanics of the fights are good and the new WvW map rocks – this’ll be a fine expansion.

My wife and I have our own guild. It’d be nice if we could get in on some of the things that a larger membership is required for. I’d expect it to be a much slower pace, but it’d be our own little digital home. We won’t lose sleep if we can’t, it would just be nice.

The pvp rank up system is now x10 faster than it was before

WvW is NOT where you go to duel. If myself or any of my guild see you, we run you over.. That simple..

That said, we do not go digging into the nooks and crannies of the borderlands looking for you.. So if you pick a corner off the beaten path, go for it.

I roam, I get into fights with other roamers. I don’t whine and complain if other red dots see us and run me/us over. Its the way the game is set up. The GvG and Dueler whiners get old real fast.

On another note SBI,MAG,CD are in a community made fights tier(Tier3) so all the top guilds are here and competition is fierce, many guilds and players get broken because they cant handle it so unless you are into hardcore raiding and want to fight the best I would not come here.

These self appointed ‘top guilds’ have as many scrubs as every other guild in the game.
Like everyone else, they get smashed by blobs and fair poorly when caught roaming around (I’m sure having their little commie guild build makes them extra squishy).

If you read the title of the thread, it said EOTM not WvW. Unless its just a random factoid post. So….. PvP is not PVE.

The twigs are a boring, uninteresting characters to begin with and to have this one jammed down our throats is the reason I don’t do the personal story past the d**** or our mentor.

Anet has only met a few problems that they weren’t able to ignore. Its likely they’ll just ignore this one until something else takes its place.

Cap whole eb, cap 3 borderlands, go back to EB and do this whole day.

So K training – the same that is happening in EOTM. Whatever tier your on at whatever time of the day it must be unique. I don’t see entire BLs flipping and then flipping back like EOTM does for hours on end.

Yeah, with the influx if GvG players, the quality of roaming has dropped. The little GvG zerglets are rarely any good at 1v1. Or at least they aren’t when they run their cute little GvG builds.
