Ain’t going to happen—-forget about it.
Posted multiple times daily—very old scam and there are 2 more stickies here and in a different section (besides the one Just added).
Read the WHOLE e-mail—it clearly says not sent from GW——that actually means something. BTW, you will likely get more.
Report it in game, delete it, move on.
You know what, I think they have some bugs there somewhere. There was a rumour going around how vet people were less lucky than new players.
:O
Actually , not a rumor but it affected all accounts not just vets. RNG creates ‘outliers’ (to use a term referred to by Anet) that results with some accounts getting more on a regular basis and some accounts the get nothing. Once you are tagged as an outlier account—your are stuck with getting nothing.
This is very old news and there are at least 3 stickies about it. It has been posted here for many many months, sometimes multiple times a day. No need to ask for support, Anet knows all about it. READ the whole email—-it clearly states it’s not from GW staff. I believe that posting the scammers address in yours and others attachment is against the tos here too.

Also didn’t know where to post this @
Don’t need to post it here, posted a zillion time and and has at least 3 different stickies. By reading the last bit where it clearly states it is not from anet , show they have it covered. BTW you should have the url blanked out—against the tos to post scammers urls.
just report it ingame delete and move on.
I am extremely disappointed that ArenaNet caved to the small minority of selfish rude players. There was nothing wrong with the price.
The only valid complaint was the changing of the FAQ making it look like they were trying to rip off customers, but they have now addressed that.
Thankyou ArenaNet for being so generous and mature as usual, it breaks my heart that they will loose thousands of dollars because of these changes just because of a selfish spoiled minority.
you mispelled MAJORITY!!!!
At least 3 stickies about this and it has been on the forum and happening for quite some. Very old news as well as at the bottom (as others have said) it clearly states not from anet. Report delete and move on.
It funny though, some people visit the link anyway.
Thank yo pc Gamer mag!
please merge with main SAB thread
I love how everyone in the livestream on guild halls today shut up about $50 dollars being over priced after they shown the content today. Completely tone changed in minutes, so funny.
What planet are you on? Still plenty of justified criticism going on in other threads.
Um…. here’s how I look at it… If I compare it to going to the theater. I’m paying $15 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours of entertainment. So, say I see 3 movies, that’s $45, almost the $50 mark for HoT… will I play GW2 for more than 4 1/2 to 6 hours… yes, yes I will.
Apples and oranges —and movies vs HoT--not comparable in the least except for an FB of course.
Existing players should be able to purchase expansion separately and cheaper, using their locations currency. As for Anet and Colin-changing FAQ and many other aspects of the game—-What was that Jim Carrey movie?
(edited by Blude.6812)
Still slow or even impossible to use. HELLO ANET!!! How about fixing it or at least a comment about it on your FB page
Slow as heck again (morning EST)
and there are still intermittent problems
I will buy it at a store,( if I decide) so I can but it in my own currency instead of being screwed over by a high price, made even higher because of US currency and credit card conversion costs.
Ranger—nerf —nerf -- nerf.
Maybe one day anet will listen to their paying customers instead of giving them the 5 finger salute. But Anet knows best.
They are very infrequent. Anet doesn’t bother sending much info. Unless you twitter or some other social media—newsletters and forums are just too much for Anet to give really bother about.
Read these. If you went to site and gave your info—you will be hacked.

The disconnects are likely just a coincidence.
Got so much I don’t even bother keeping it anymore unless I luck into free obsidian shards to convert them. Really can’t see how anyone would be lacking them (ditto with bloodstone) they are so easy to acquire.

LOL—here we go again with more posts about this old problem. One of the real problems is people reacting first and not reading the entire e-mail where is says —not from Anet!!! and they could visit here and see all the info about this scam too.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Please-Take-Care-with-In-Game-Mails/first#post4683833
Those that visit the site have only themselves to blame.Another problem is people being rude about it. The guy is just trying to warn people about this as you can see.
Not being rude at all. Just truth. This scam is posted multiple times every single with the same screenshot. In fact when this one as posted there was another post almost directly under the ops’ post. Not only that, but there are stickies about it.
When I 1st got this scam I read the whole thing and saw—not from Anet staff (which everyone can read if they took the time). I reported it an deleted ingame. I came to the forum and looked and saw the stickie as well as posts and didn’t feel the need to add another redundant post since Anet was well aware and had informed players.

This is reported everyday here—sometimes more than once and has been for many months.. You need to read the ENTIRE e-mail and you will see it clearly states that it IS NOT from Anet. (There are stickies here as well.) You will get more of these from others
Report it in game and delete it—move on.
If people would take a few minute to look at stickies or even review the 1st page here they(you) could see that it was here today just a few line down from the top

BTW I believe publishing the attachment with the scammers name and url is also a no no here
(edited by Blude.6812)
Neither link has any facts from MS—just unsubstantiated rumor mongering.
Its’ reported multiple times every day.
Those that don’t read the whole e-mail and visit the site and get hacked only have themselves to blame.
As I said, 10 is NOT subscription. The successor to 10 will likely be.
Proof please!!!!
For future games that support Dx12 is one reason. Not one for this game, unless there is a major surprised with the expansion.
Yes and after 10 they will try some subscription BS. That’s going to go over like a lead balloon for the consumer. Brings the whole concept of the Micro$oft tax to it’s final evolutionary form.
Could you provide a link from MS that they are moving to a subscription model?
I believe that it is an unsubstantiated rumor being circulated.
Yep —the scam is reported every single day. You should edit out the url in the attachment if you are reposting here.
And the attachment pic has the scammers URL visable—that’s a no-no.
Whoa—even after the e-mail said—not from Anet staff, you went to the site?
This is reported multiple times on a daily basis here on the forums. There are stickies (as mentioned)as well. Take the time and look at the entire e-mail message, at the bottom and it clearly says that it has not been sent by Anet staff. just report it in game, block and delete. Anyone who decides to visit the address in the e-mail only have themselves to blame.
Some (many I think) don’t want to go near PvP and rarely do WvW. The idea to go to those modes of play they really dislike doesn’t hole any water. Just more ‘enticing’ players into doing stuff they want to (as noted by Sundown).

Just about any thing that gets rid of the double fractal would be fine for me or at least more choice. As soon as I see double fractals for the daily, I just grab my log in loot and go play another game.
kitten double fractals again—-grabbed my laurels left.
Too bad anet WON"T get rid of the double fractal daily.
OH well—No Money for you.
Scam
Read the whole e-mail. It clearly says NOT from anet on the bottom. You would have known immediately.
There are multiple posts about this every day here and it is covered in the sticky

The daily report of the e-mail scam that has been been going around for a while.
Those that follow the link only have themselves to blame.
Although, the not from anet staff part of the message could be in bright red and flashing for those the don’t bother reading the entire scam mail.
I hope you get your account issues resolved.
It’s were topics to went to die. ( It’s SOP).
Not even close to true. A number of CDI topics changed the way the game evolved, sometimes in minor ways (new colors for commander tags), sometimes significant (a lot of Living Story changes, PvP/WvW map changes, etc).
The CDI was never meant to allow players to decide what changes would be made or how those would be implemented. It was always intended to be a brainstorming session between one or two developers and the community, a way of exploring ideas that might not have been discussed at ANet.
In that, it was completely successful. One of the project’s biggest problems was that a lot of players tended to see the CDI discussions as ANet agreeing or promising particular things, which ended up being distracting for ANet staff as well as forum participants. Another problem, of course, was that the CDIs were held in the forums, which means some people never participated and some, um, “over-participated”, crowding out lots of other voices.
tl;dr it is (or was) a useful idea for collaborating, but not something ANet could sustain over the long run.
Sorry, I just disagree. Anything that appeared to come out of CDI was already in the works and the CDI was nothing more but a way of appearing that Anet was involving the community.
It’s were topics to went to die. ( It’s SOP).
I’ m confused what the issue is here, if the double daily fracs appear and you don’t like fracs – why not just do wvw or pvp dailies? You may not enjoy them but you need to remember what AP are – ‘Achievement points’. Doing things you enjoy and/or take under 10mins isn’t really achieving much (Vista and gathering/mining/logging dailies for example) – so what’s the problem with pve dailies being challenging every now and then? If you still don’t want to do the fracs, or can’t be bothered to spend 15-30 mins getting pvp/wvw dailies then you really don’t deserve those points.
From how I see it, it’s not Anet’s problem, it’s not the game’s problem – it’s your problem. Deal with it.
Case in point —example of community divided and rude.
Regardless if you like or dislike fractals—having 2 at the same time for AP is just a poor design decision and does not reflect well on the person/team that forced it into the game and has divided the community. Of course they won’t change because that verify that they made a poor decision.

They never did drop if you are an outlier on the negative side due to poorly flawed RNG the GW2 uses.
The daily report of old news. As krall says read the whole mail and see what it says at the bottom. You are sure lucky the link wasn’t clickable! If you typed the url into your browser and provided the requested info, say goodbye to your account.
It is a scam.
Agree, both at golem and karka. This started up a few patches ago. I never had this problem previously. It’s not on my end.
Oh, and don’t forget: Increase your chances — sign up for the newsletter!
I have been trying for days, I never get the confirmation mail…
There is no confirmation email.
True, another standard way of operating by just about every site in the worlds, not implemented by Anet
Are people who post threads like this getting their accounts banned also?
I’m pretty sure they’re also associated with those in game accounts using these types of threads as an additional way to expose the url to people and increase hits.
I am sure a mod will look after this thread soon.
This has been mentioned many many many times in multiple threads. It really is very old news. Also,as mentioned by Zalladi, it is against policy to have the scammers url in your capture regardless of your intent.
OH OH—here we go again. Not a bug, no fix required. Works the same in PvE too.
If it is going to be open world, then it should be at the level of Triple Trouble and the Twisted Marionette.
^ Not really, they have to cater to all types of players—from casual with limited time to hard core that camp on a map for an hr before the event start. They can’t exclude one over the other.
An acquaintance of mine got on, in two weeks got an abyssal dye and a precursor, decided he was bored, and stopped playing.
Meanwhile, I’ve been playing since beta and have never touched a precursor. So… yeah, luck happens. Sucks, but what can you do about it, other than live with it or rage quit?
I’m a PHP developer. When a system doesn’t work as intended, or there is a better alternative, I improve on my initial designs. That’s why my framework has developed quite well over the past 7 years. I give my customers 2 years long free upgrades incase I find ways to improve their initial product. All part of the service I offer.
ArenaNet however decided that RNG + Skinner Box is the way to go and to never improve upon this system (adding new currency is a band aid at best).
A well developed system would increase the droprates over time for a person if they have been unlucky for months/years to ensure every player has their ‘happy’ moment. An even better system would be one that rewards actual effort instead of pressing 1 once and resulting in bronze completion with the same item rewards as gold completion. This however is far more expensive to develop & maintain so they choose the cheap version instead.
I’ve been playing since Guild Wars 1 and while I’ve sadly been getting older over these past 10 years (wtb age reduction skill) I’ve also seen well respected companies turn to crap due to financial restraints setup by investors/management. This case is sadly no different.
I still play for about 5 minutes per day as I keep a slight sense of hope that someday they will understand that the skinner box & rng won’t work forever as content but it’s also fading a bit more every day seeing the current developments.
This entire ‘event’ for the next beta only reconfirmed why I decided to become inactive in the first place.
edit: spelling.
You have hit the nail on the head. This is exactly my experience(lots of nothing) and how I feel about ANETS’ RNG and what they should do about it. I now log in for a few minutes to grab my reward and AP then leave. I did do the entire SW chain yesterday just to check it out, but quickly decided I was just wasting my time.
