I had a similar issue after putting in a new vid card(the msi version of your card). But it was happening at random intervals with various games as well as GW2. I swapped out the power supply. I noticed your was reconditioned unit and you may want to check that out if you haven’t done so.

Yep, and it’s a more expensive outside of the US with additional CC charges and exchange rate. No way of getting it at a retail store(that I have found in Can.) I have learned never to pre-purchase and this thread and (many others) continue to reinforce that decision. The next Fallout game will be out in less than a month though.
The ‘hard copies’ are just a piece of cardboard with a code in a DVD case.

The least Anet can do is to follow Steams’ lead and have purchases using the buyers currency.
The warning message could be in bright red, or how about on the log in screen—Big message saying saying you will never be contacted in game or by e-mail by Anet regarding your account. After that, nothing much can be done if a player follows the links.
Amazon.ca doesn’t directly sell them. It’s 3rd party sellers who sell at inflated prices to pad their own pockets. You will pay shipping as well, it doesn’t qualify for free shipping since it is a private seller. Also remember you will be paying in US$(at the TP) and that will increase your costs. EB used to sell them, but not anymore. I have given up searching for them in Canada. I think Anet isn’t supplying them.
Maybe buy the 1600 and use your gold for the other 200.

if u remove battery and restart bios settings, u r not forced to go to bios.. at least it dont go to bios by itself..
and he is not saying, if the F10 works and he continue to bios table and booting or, after it he can restart and everythign works well..

Just a quick thought. Replace the battery on the motherboard. It appears Bios settings are no longer being saved when you turn off the computer. It’s about the size of the quarter somewhere on the board.
I see lots of posts about doing TEQ. For me I rarely do it. I am lucky enough to have an negative RNG outlier account. So it isn’t worth the time or effort just to get wooden spoons and blue/yellows. Ascended drop?? What are those??? lol. I can make much more mining plats with a watchwork pick with my main and alts.
That’s pretty accurate. Typically (not necessarily this way in GW2) a raid is a souped up dungeon for larger groups of people that takes longer to complete. It will have more complex mechanics and less forgiveness of player error.

I would tend to say no given the stingy so called RNG and wanting to encourage using real $$$$ to buy gems. But we’ll see after it’s out.
of course players that want nothing to do with raids will loose out. And Anet will continue to concentrate on that aspect of the game rather than long over due improvements and fixes in other areas.
But the OP lost all credibility right at the start with this one line “Anet designed this game without any required grind, staying true to their core principles since Day 1 of this game.” SO not true (even anet has said they don’t follow their original manifesto).
The game needed so much more completed and fixed before the concentration of resources on raid content.
Yep heal spell disappeared from bar a few times, other skills as well. reselecting them brought them back. At one point I had four empty skill slots. just disappeared.
BTW lvl 80, same character that I have had for 3years.
Which is what they’re doing with raids from what I have heard. There will be a token system.

as an outlier, Anets’ RNG in it’s current state needs a major overhaul. That being said, nothing is going to change. Anet really doesn’t care about the issue. It’s working as intended even if some get nothing after 3 years of playing.
Take it to a computer repair service. It appears to be hardware problem of some sort.
EXACTLY the same symptoms as you described when I upgraded my vid card.
PSU replaced and amazingly the issue was gone.
Did you blow out the case, components and fans etc as was suggested by a few posts.

There is no doubt that it is a hardware problem.
Putting your hand near the vents is not a test in any way,shape or form.
Have you ever opened the case and cleaned it out with a can of compressed air? Blow everything, fans, CPU,GPU, MB—virtually everything until the dust is gone.
I always use the latest drivers and have never had a problem with this game (or any other for that matter). Your problem lies elsewhere, most likely a hardware issue (psu, graphic card, over heating, bad mem module etc). It is not the drivers or the game, it is clearly something failing on your machine.
New launch are always difficult. We can’t ask company to quadruple their infrastructure just for one or two day. There is this thing called reality.
I’m planning a small LAN with a couple of friend for Launch, but we prepared other stuff to do in case server shutdown or something. We’ll have fun anyway
3 year old game should have enough experience to deal with this. And yes we can ask the company to deal with it. That is reality.

Sorry, but things like this happen and I guess we can spare Arena Net the insults and complains. I guess everyone who is capable of fixing this is already working as hard as he/she can to resolve this.
Having the ability to recognize and plan for high demand days would be much better than trying to solve a problem after the fact, when it could have been avoided in the 1st place.
I was just trying to get back in to the game after 2 years away, download downloader-downloader or whatever you wanna call it, and boom downloader downloader cant download.
Connection error(s) detected retrying…. added exception to hosts file, changed DNS to google, sacrificed an xbox controller to the PC masterrace and nothing helps.
Don’t waste anymore time trying to troubleshoot it——It’s Anet not you.
The servers can’t even handle the non American primetime players trying to patch a 1 gig patch (or less?). Imagine thousands of people trying to install HoT when it drops. Seriously, we preordered the expansion, let us prepatch or get some kitten servers that aren’t ran off of GLaDOS potatoes

I usually don’t have problems with updates. There is something wrong with this one. Even the forums are slow and unreliable.

Yep—this is simply a result of Anet not want to use their$$ to provide and plan for days when they know they are going to get overwhelmed.
The servers are fine. It’s your route to the servers that is the problem.
The ability to connect to something else only shows that you have an internet connection. The routes you take to different places are likely going to be very different. Somewhere along the route, something is failing. This is where you want to constantly run a trace to catch where it is so that you can either work around it (use a VPN to reroute your connection) or complain to your ISP to forward the complaint to the source. Use PingPlotter for example.
Wrong (for todays’ patch). It is entirely on Anets’ side.
There must be something broken. Or we have simply so many players. But I have been downloading ever since the patch hit and I still have 27000 files left after more than 45 minutes. The speed is in the single digits kB/s most of the time.
This is the prime playing time for Europe, so waiting this long for a patch really hits hard.

I don’t believe so, if fact I would think it’s the opposite and that is my personal opinion. Just like yours, but you present it like you know what the community wants.

The strike will be long over before having any significant impact on releases. (even if it lasts a few years—lol)
It depends how much voice acting the record before hand. Then if things need to be redone, or any rewrites, this could mean delays in content drops. Last time we saw a strike like this was the writers strike a few years back. Most shows that where on at that time had to cut there runs short, or have a big mid season brake. It lasted a good few months. It also delayed some shows returning, which also had to cut short there runs in the schedule.
I’m not saying this could be as bad. But it could have a knock on effect.
