Double stab on dodge is totally braindead and lowers the skill cap of this class dramatically. If you want stab, get Jalis, simple.

I had overall decent matches.. some was ez, in some i had to carry hard due to 2-3 incompetent people (lol venom thief..). Now being at sapphire t3 i started getting some kitten people that i cant even carry anymore (and im not sure why these guys wont uninstall either) amy games are closer to 500+ for enemy team and 70 points at best for mine. Fun

Daggers being used as dps move is what i consider wrong. Its was supposed to be healing skill, not boost my dps skill.
Elite wasnt supposed to be stronger than core and i have official quote about it. Double stab on dodge is also the most pathetic thing in this game.
Condi gs is something someone throwed a joke about and now some want it.. but it doesnt make sense at all. We dont really have power weapon that cleaves.

Hammer = power weapon btw. I dont see a reason why condi wep cannot have 900 range. If its bc of hammer then fine.. i wont complain about 1500 range condi wep.

it doesn’t need a rework. change it to each projectile that hits the same target deals 20% less damage. 100%, 80% and 60% if you hit one player with 3, 3x 100% if it’s 3 different players.
It does. Just like sword 3. Losing damage in groupfights is not fun, ya know? Imagine your skills dealing 66% less damage to some guy just bc his teammates shows up.
reduce Herald sustain
Herald sustain is nothing special at all compared to scrapper. If you feed herald and heal them to full hp then its l2p issue on your part.

Imho gs should deal less dmg than axe due to mobility so hb should be changed to something weaker with lower cd but be mobile at same time.. something like mariner frenzy. In case of traits its mostly -% cd reductions i have problem with.

Might on crit from forceful gs should be moved to phalanx so all weapons can benefit from it..

Long 3,5s channel on top of being a selfroot skill (a type of skill that doesnt work well in this game anymore). It should get a rework. The weapon traits should also go away to free up choice..being honest gs without trait feels like kitten. And that apply to other weapons as well

There is still ferocity trait which is almost the same. For mobility you would be able to cover 2400units in 1sec..doesnt sound too balanced to me. Its a tradeoff for being able to use it without cd.
Herald traitline offers too much and everyone knows that. It definitely need a nerf while invo need a buff.
And daggers was changed to a more reliable heal so its obvious it has to come with dmg nerf.
And my condi rifle has a note it that it could be a lb as well. But spiritual rifle sounds more fun.

Oh, ok so I went through the doc again and disagree strongly with:
- Vicious Lacerations beeing removed.
- PT range nerf
- Enchanted Daggers damage nerf
- Precision Stike nerf if no revert on AA damage nerf
- Field of the mists as an ice field
- Most changes to Invocation
- Any changes to Glint/Herald
- New weapon “condi rifle”
Field of the mist is something i forgot about. It will stay as dark. Why you disagree with rest? Dont ya think we have too much mobility? Also i wouldnt consider precision strike as nerf in raids. Staying in hitbox will allow you to deal much higher damage than now.

Theres only 1 thing that has to be toned down and its herald. They also played old comp (shield revs lmao) and eles carried them like a princess.
But its okay, lets base balance around “pro league” played by kids <cough>
Herald needs to be nerfed, like all elite specs. Mostly in the traits department and in Facet of Nature’s activation being a 20s cooldown Save Yourselves. Sure its a little weaker, but its still super strong. We also need bugs fixed, but we got a npc so i guess were okay.
Which i nerfed in my document by moving toughness and endurance regeneration on upkeep to invocation and shared empo to gm along with reworking EB so it no longer provides 2x stab on a dodge. Shaved boons from f2 by 30% as well.
That alone hits rev hard.

Yep, now you can trigger annihilation with them depending on the position of enemy. Tested on a golem. Its an indirect buff to my core condi rev.. so i wont complain. It also trigger lfie siphon from vul on foes.
What i observed however is that its trigger annihinator every 2nd pulse rather than per pulse tho..

That’s all it’d take to make people at least a little happy. Small shaves on Chill/bristleback. Precision Strike to be reverted to a 3 people attack with increased damage (but less than all 3 hitting a single person right now), some minor Scrapper shaves.
That’s all it’d REALLY take to at least make people happier, nothing too crazy.

Phase traversal cd increased to 10sec
Riposting shadows – added 5cd
Enhanted Bulwark – Stability duration reduced to ~2sec
Jade Winds – Using jade winds consume energy at the start of animation, 10cd
Chaotic Release – stowed/interrupted put it on full cd
Hammer – due to wvw complains we removed this weapon

By not reporting cus Anet doesnt care. You think they banned anyone during s1? Ha ha ha.
Even their dishonor doesnt work. You could relog during a match, stay in selection screen for few mis, log in and que without any troubles as dishonor wasnt applied at all.

Heals for 1,6k. They also fixed some mysterious idk bug that allowed precision strike throw more projectiles than intended and yet they have not fixed our damage..
Feels like they dont give a kitten about bugs. And its not they can say “we didnt know” when my list covers em all+reports ingame.

Guess you didn’t watch Pro Leagues.Ppl should be glad when facing teams with a Thief or 2, easier to win. Just make sure you got 1 Rev. All you need to squash both Thieves.
I do not get the whole rev thing. i play thief, maybe 1 in 20 revs beats me in 1v1 and im not exactly the best player on that field.
Its a safe win if im running condi, still an easy win on power. Either each and every good rev is fighting in the pro leagues, or we are simply hardcountering them.
And btw: we are still faster, no matter what you say, you cant outrun a thief.Bc thief has all neccesary tools to beat rev.

Enough teleport to perma chase Thief around till downed in teamfight? Check (Revs makes the thief utiltize all their ini just to stay alive)
Can kite 2v1 on point (contest)? Check

Close to equal DPS? Check
Boons? CheckA rev has an easier time killing a thief, be it 1v1 or teamfight. If a thief can beat you, that’s because you made alot of mistakes.
Thieves cannot make errors. If they do, just 1, they’re dead.
Rev is much more casual and less punishing due its amount of blocks, evades, dps, heals (which are insane strong in teamfights).
In average 1v1 between rev and thief its true for rev having easier time. But at higher level they are quite balanced against each other. Its not like rev can screw against thief either. And our mobility is up only in Shiro, once we swap we are slow as turtle

The difference is we hold better in teamfight, support teamamtes unlike thief so in general we are a better pick.

He worries that all ele nerfs and lack of buffs to Scepter FA is a consequence of the effectiveness of bunker Eles. That’s not entirely unreasonable but requesting a general nerf to all builds because of that isn’t reasonable. It’s better to check where and why bunker ele over performs and nerf that while buffing other builds to be closer to the original.
Well he does have a tendency to not review things from a broader perspective…I do not review things on broader perspective, yet, manages to guess Abjured comp perfectly. I told that cleric d/f auramancer were going to be meta. Told that revenants are the strongest things in the current meta; that they outperform thieves, which is why Toker currently does not play them.
One part about Revenant that is so good is the Rez trait.
For Revenant, here is the list of changes.
Surge of the Mists: Now breaks only one stack of stability per target. Evade Frame removed.
Warding Rift: Now applies 3 seconds of weakness instead of blind.
Radiant Revival: No longers increases revive speed.
Chaotic Release: Cancelling the cast or interruption no longers refund energy and puts the skill on cooldown.
Jade Wind: Cancelling the cast or interruption no longers refund energy and puts the skill on cooldown. Cooldown increased to 45 seconds cooldown.
Riposting Shadow: Now has a 5 seconds cooldown. Additionnally, endurance gain has been reduced to 25, down from 50.
I could sum these changes in a single sentence – hahaah
But i have better ones. Attunement swap cd increased to 50sec, if overload is interrupted cd is doubled.
You should realize by now that rev is energy oriented, not cooldown and anything with added cd’s will break him. At this point we would have to scrap whole energy system as double punishment is a no no.
I dont see any cd’s on thief wep skills..

Not sure what your point is ESL as far as I am concerned pretty much confirmed everyone’s major complaint. Game still not diverse. Revenant still a big problem. I mean come on man lol.

I would like to say that DH, imo, is old turret engi. They are not ESL material but they are certainly too effective for amount of (little) effort required in normal ranked.
DH is 3x more esl material than turret engi… such a silly comparison.
While we’re at it, we’re also 3x more esl material than war mesmer and thief.

This.. dagger offhand was unique in heavy and the idea behind parrying dagger is neat as well (i love sword/dagger in dark souls). Hopefully they release one day dagger looking skin for sword.

Well reality is completely different thing. I am in game however and i want to swing 2 swords at once. You dont have asura and charr in rl right?
Anet kittened up bc they made sword/sword etc as separate option. They could easily fix it by adding new “dualsword” kind of stuff. Thats generally why i prefer 2h weps (gs) over dualwield in gw. It just seems wrong to me that most of the time i do not use my second hand. Even in faction trailer you see Shiro using both swords at once..
To do that they would have to rework all sword auto attacks specifically for when you’re dual wielding swords/melee weapons. So that’s not an easy fix. Like someone else pointed out. According to history, it’s fairly accurate. Even having two full length swords is realistically implausible. If we’re going by anime logic, maybe, but that is NOT an easy fix.
In theory its easy fix. Separate dualwielding into a new weapon type anddddddddddddddddddddddd… here is the hard part – make animations to them. For that reason it wont happen so i have to w8 for gs elite spec.
I doubt they made it the way it is now due to history btw.

Bc its not going to work for war at all in a healing spot. It works for rev as we have some minor heal to back it up+life siphom. It wont work for war bc if you screw it you might aswell /dance.
That means initial heal has to go up to an acceptable level which makes no sense given how this skill works or move it to elite/f2 so it can shine. The problem i see however.. if they move it to elite it will be mandatory as war sustain is crap.
So generally speaking some stances should become f2-4 keys linked to cd’s+adrenaline.
That would greatly improve war sustain, free them from using stances in utility skills and raise skill cap for war.
A choice – keep up the adrenaline for a defensive stance or go for a burst?
For example defiant stance – convert all incoming damage into healing, duration is based on the adrenaline spent.
lv 1 – 1sec
lv2 – 2sec
lv 3 – 3sec
Cd 60
Lalala you get the point. Atm adrenaline is the most underwhelming aspect of warrior, till they dont fix that one, war will be in deep … for a while, unless you overbuff him.

Yeah so i rather have endurance removed completely and make PT ground targeted so it can be used as both gap closer/escape or just to dance around someone to avoid certain attacks. With 25 energy cost and 900 range it wont cause many issues. Standing power of rev will drop dramatically tho. In case of Shiro at least.

Shiro being a pick has it reasons tho. Stunbreak unlike other legends.
And most important which i consider a failure in rev desing – mobility.
No other legend nor weapon provides it (ua is a mobile skill but first you gotta close the gap, witohut Shiro that might be problematic).
Rev is slowest profession without Shiro. But if Shiro start to slack around i can imagie rev going for a more bunker builds instead or end up out of meta.
Imho like i edited up.. if you want to remove endurance then its fine but in this case PT gotta become ground targeted to allow us escape.

Well thats my goal in general. Thing is a buff to Jalis doesnt justice a nerf to Shiro. Its just switching power from one legend to another.
Riposting shadows is the main defense for Shiro. Dodging important attacks is something that actually takes a skill and without endurance his defense will become too weak on top of crap healing ability. If anything i think they made a mistake by reducing the cost to 30 from 35. Going with dev logic however we will end up with 5-10cd on shadows /call it a day.
Imho if you nerf riposting shadows you will have to give Shiro a way to gtfo from the fight. Just like thief. Like make phase traversal ground target teleport rather than to target.

I play both condi and power core rev atm. Both use traveler runes as i have no speed increase. Its imo a first thing that should be added.
Shiro/Jalis is slacking due to sustain issues and the fact Jalis doesnt provide a stunbreak/reliable stab or enough dmg reduction. Retal also hardcounter hammers way too much.
Meanwhile Shiro/Mallyx is average at best vs power builds with decent cleanse and vs condi builds the resistance i can apply is nothing special at all compared to herald.
I dont think i can agree with nerfing riposting shadow tho. Shiro was supposed to be slippery by design and a huge nerf like that one may put him into complete trash tier if he wont get any compensation.

I have set up a list which buff some stuff and nerf some other.. and overall i believe it would tone down herald a bit but buff core rev. Got it in signature but i have no interest posting it in spvp due to the amount of crybabies here.. this thread proves it.
But being honest its a beta class with tons of bugs and it may be too hard to balance due to swapable utilities. Number changes can only do so much.. either buff class a bit or klil it completely.

3. Surge of the Mists – reduced number of impacts to 6, reduced evade to 0.75s

2. Phase smash – changed fuctionality. Slam the ground with the hammer immobilizing foes and shadowstep backward though the mists.
Moved to skill 4, increased cd to 12, increased energy cost to 10, decreased cast time and evade frame to 3/4, chill replaced with immobilize (2sec), shadowstep 900.
