And also activate with some dialogues in certain situations like dropping to 75%, 50%, 25% and downed instead of being limited to skill usage.

And the grunts..what is their purpose? They are olny irritating, espesially Glint – which doesnt fit a wise dragon by any means. They honestly feel more like a placerholder than anything else really.

Grasp should be “step towards the mist to bound and pull the foe with you” 600range, unblockable.

I bieleve thats what originally grasp was from datamined stuff where it had 600 range, 600 pull. I used it mostly as set up to jade winds if i managed to have so much energy to do so or as a tool to disorient ppl. But 15 energy cost..it hurts

Why people saying that hammer hits too much when ruin skill 2 can be simply strafed at mid-long distance and it quute useless at close? Like wtf guys? Did you started.playing yesterday? Hammer is fine, so is rev. If it wasnt for clueless people attacking us under Glint heal any rev would die quite fast. Try Shiro+Jalis and watch how poor the sustain is.

Jalis needs the most changes obviously. He doesnt work at all. Ventari can be tweaked (and should be) in radius, healing.. but Jalis..doesnt work at all despite being fun to play.

If it’s no longer a projectile how can it possible justify a 450 range?

Surely it’s down to 130 now…?

depends on the angle, it may be a linear attack like a shorter range version of a mesmer’s Spatial Surge (as opposed to a cleaving slash)

It wont have 450 range anymore? Now it will be single 130 range melee atk like others. Thats how it should be since beginning.

Meanwhile i dont understand why anyone would want healer in raid.. If you cant manage to stay alive there without healer its l2p issue. As i said its was walk in the park for me, but the timer on it own prevents actually building for anything else than dps.

No, the enrage timers are absolutely necessary to ensure difficulty.

Im not sure what “difficulty” you trying to make here. That raid and it “mechanics” were nothing but walk in the park. The funny part is that AN themself says “zerk meta is gone” yet to beat it..you will actually need zerk. Funny. If they want to make something difficult they gotta look up at other games which already do it right. Trying to cover it behind a small time limit and telling me its there to make it look difficult is pretty much laughable to me. If thats all they can do i hope they wont bother with raids anymore and move out of it.

Glint/Shiro - dealing with condi's and CC

I dealed with cc via stab on dodge trait also in herald line. It allowed me to pressure pretty well without being worries about all the junk ppl throwed at me.

Condi depends on class. Engi is easy to beat with hammer projectile block, ranger is in similiar situation except you also kite them. Condi mes – focus clones, watch out for beam and scepter block. Use hammer. If they get you to low hp swap to Glint, get some confusion and use heal. Tada baack to full.

Vs burn guards you dance around them with sword 3, sword block and hammer. If they fail initial burst you have 50% chance to win. Necros and wars are not issue at all.

Point is running double melee is the first mistake you can do. Hammer projectile block paired with Shiro to kite via riposting shadows really do wonders.

I have been playing sword/sword+hammer with shiro/glint and dev/retri lines nearly the whole beta and what i generally think ignoring all the bugs that been here for a while reported many times already;

  • Sword;

1. Autoatk is awful, not olny due to issues on projectile but it just feels also sluggish due to it animation. In general the way auto looks needs to be redone, opening with stab is the most stupid thing i have even seen. Other than that no complains.

2. Precise could have it range bumbed up to 600, other than that its actually great for what its supposed to do. I found it really useful when someone wanted to kite me and i could just chill them to stick

3. UA is probably the most hated skill in this game. It is strong 1v1 obviously but despite what people say it not really iwin button still. Its quite weak in teamfights and i often used it as a way to survive and do some damage. To shut down masses they should remove might from it tho, base damage and it evade is enough honestly

4. Block is fine, but counterattack cost too much or does not so much. 10 energy for subpar damage and subpar immo. Either energy should be reduced to 5 or it ability actually buffed to hit like a truck.

5. I honestly do not understand the point of grasping shadow . What the point of coming close to someone to pull them 600 range? To separate someone from group to ua? They can run 150 meters and done. This skill is main reason why people goes for shield instead as while at some point it is fun skill its also terrible. This ability could use a bit of rework where actually revenant shadowstep to his foe pulling him back “for a neck” until then it will remain as quite bad ability for it cost and cd but at least its useful for setting up jade winds assuming you will ever have so much energy spend on in the first place.

  • Hammer

Not much to say here, outside of a few knows bugs. The olny thing i wish to see is drastically reduced animation on drop the hammer to 3/4 seconds to summon hammer with 1 sec delayed hit. That would improve rev hammer dramatically. Other than that its fine, strong at long range, weak at close. Working as intended.

  • Shiro

A legend i camped most of the time.. I do not like cd on jade winds and i found it frustrating when i wanted to use it back to back but i managed to live without that feature somehow. What i do not like howered is chill/power lock affecting this ability. Cd is cool and all but we already getting punishment with massive energy loss. And since you added cd there i wish to see it working with sigil of para to increase it stun duration. I believe thats a fair tradeoff for it cd.

Other than that its probably the most satisfing me legend, theres olny one flaw in Shiro tho.. it heal. Under pressure its really hard to proc it without sword 3, espesially in teamfights. It is also hard to proc off with hammer as the duration is far too low for such a slow weapon so if i decide to camp hammer i might not proc them all by any means. Theres is another issue as well – it is countered by deflection/reflection preventing us from proccing it, given the fact how many counter this skill already have i think its a bit too much.

Enchanted daggers should last 20 seconds and be unblockable. Now before you call me crazy no, they wont proc without delivering a hit, but unblockable will prevent it from being countered by such simply things as deflection/reflection which HoT brings to nearly..everyone.

  • Glint

I personally do not like being a boon bot which Glint force me to do so but sadly..right now there is no better alternative. Theres olny 2 things i can complain about – burst of strenght 1sec casttime and chaotic release too high cd. Strenght burst should honestly be reduced to 0.5sec while chaotic release cd be reduced to 25-30cd. 45cd on it is way overkill. I do not understand what that superspeed doing there tho..

  • Devastation

There is 1 trait which makes no sense anymore, 2 which has too high cd and 1 which is underpowered.

1. Ferocious strikes 0 fights for a spot with superior vicious lacerations. Both are in fact sword traits. Nobody in his mind gonna pick up this trait over vicious. That placement makes no sense anymore. Either merge it with vicious to make a room for new trait or buff it and place in GM.

2. Cd on malicious reprisal is too high to even worth considering. 20 sec would be a decent spot. Same goes for jade echo which should be reduced to 60seconds. 90sec is overkill.

3. Dismantle fortifications – that trait is terrible and not worth slotting over rest. Nearly all sources of stab provides more stacks than 2. Its at best adept worthly.

  • Retribution

1. Nothing to slot in adept, its close quarters or gtfo. Improved agression is terrible and has no use.

2. Redeeming protection was killed at merged with eye for eye trait. I do not think that was right decision as baseline rev is quite squishy, but it already happened. At this point howered i think protection should be bumped to 7 seconds and cd for this trait be reduced to 30seconds.

  • Herald

Basically every rev uses the same line with few exceptions on GM, my issues with them;

1. Radiant revival – too high cd, no revival bonus so basically useless. As others have mentioned reducing it to 30cd and give it 10% revive bonus would improve it a lot.

2. Nothing to choose from for selfish dps builds in master line. One could argue that shared empowerment is something i can pick over but there is basically no choice to not pick it which is..also support trait.

I think one trait from GM should be swapped with these in master line and i think about soothing bastion here. Most if not all with few exceptions has a trait supporting weapon in adept/master line. Placing soothing bastion with some tweaks in master would be great for selfish dps builds for it “on 25%” nature.

  • One more thing i wish to say

You killed Mallyx. And you killed corruption line. So what if Mallyx can stack a lot of torment? The tradeoff is that we lost a lot of non cc conditions such as immobilize, fear. There is no reason to stack keep condi during Mallyx anymore. The lack of stunbreakers on Mallyx is also disturbing and here i have two ideas i would like to throw around;

-Pain absord to become a stunbreak and blind foes in it radius as well
-Embrance the darkness – pulsing resistance for it duration, transfering conditions (so it doesnt clash with old copy Mallyx) to enemies.

Hope my words wont be wasted.

Ps. As for ventari..hes useless, so much micro management for so little reward while druid doesnt have any of these issues. Slow, heals for next to nothing, tiny radius. It may have some nice uses in pve but for pvp – that thing is useless. Rip. Well i never liked Ventari and his salads either way.

Phase Traversal

One easy fix would be that you must be at 1200 range to use the skill. Atm its able to teleport as long as you can target someone :/

It was working at first like that and it been completely useless as rev wasnt able to catch anyone at all while still consuming energy. The way it is now is completely fine.

We lose whole set of utility with crappy healing ability just to get that mobility, and yet some people want to take it away..srsly.

While were at it infiltrators strike could also use 5cd, why thief is allowed to teleport all over the place for both defense/offense yet some ppl asking to nerf our mobility – the olny reason to pick shiro inthe first place? We have 0 mobility outside of Shiro, so please stay away from something that inst op at all in spvp.

That is some pretty weak sarcasm/logic…. If you really put both classes together you would see that Thief’s need that mobility because of their squishness. Where as Revenants have heavy armor having more toughness better heals and a hell of a lot more condition control resistance and don’t forget the bigger health pool too boot.

Your suggestions have been received and denied……. For lack of sense.

As a reminder I would say this post is about putting a limiter on this get out of jail free skill. Just like other teleporting skills have. It is NOT about taking away the skill. Its all about tweeking it to balance it out.

Nearly all ofit is just bullkitten but lets ignore the fact that thief also has stealth and better condi removal. We do not. There is nothing to tweak as it is balanced already. Giving it a cd will allow DD or power lock mes to lock us out of mobility for 10/15sec seconds #balance

Also right now rev without herald is squishy as Jalis is a fail. Give me one build that doesnt use herald traitline.

If phase traversal is broken (it can be olny used to catch enemies as it need a target), then thief mobility is ridiculously overpowered and needs to be toned down badly to balance them out /thread

I only want to see SotM tweaked. Doesn’t have to be necessarily damage reduction.

Thing is surge generally is a defensive skill. Take a look at whirlwind, in many cases you still take hit if you do it in the last moment due to 0.25sec casttime. Adding casttime to surge would ruin it. Landing surge is actually harder than people think – play against decent opponent who dance around you rather than sitting like ducks in front of you and tell me how often you landed full surge.

Same goes for hammer 2 which people complained about yet it can be completely strafed at mid-long range while doing pewpew yourself. Rev is too new to ask for nerfs just yet.

Well ok, then here’s a bug report. Went to Mists on my beta chars, placed loot in my regular account bank, logged to a non-beta char, retrieved items, soldd on TP.

I wasn’t even aware that this was not intended. I just thought TP was disabled on beta chars so they could not buy things from gem store that would be lost when they are purged.

Thanks for this bug report, Halvorn. I’ve forwarded it to the devs.

Can anyone else confirm that they were able to sell items in the manner described above? Thank you.

Main thing which prevents me from slotting 5 rage skills..

First i dont understand why cd was increased by 5 seconds
Second it heals for way less even if i land whole hb chain+whirl in people than healing signet

If that thing is supposed to be viable yet keeping agreesive style of berserker it base healing should be bumped up to 6k with decreased cd to 20 or damage to healing raio be increased to 100%. Otheriwse it will remain as yet another useless healing ability.

I love these, they die so nicely to hammer, i dont even have to swap wep. Real mens playing with berserker amulet, just something to keep in mind.

Easy counters;

When rev swaps to Glint..prepare for his heal, stop attack and go invul/stealth or just teleport away cause rev has no mobility in Glint. Or just run around..

Shiro heal – kite, use deflection/reflection, blocks, blinds, stealth for it duration, pressure him like no tomorrow so he cant attack (just avoid sword 3 and tada)
Shield? Count to 3 and aoe bomb him, he will regret using shield over sword for a good long time.
Shield trait? It needs rework. 20cd is low but just to keep in mind it doesnt not activate under cc.

Reason why rev has evades is bc we dont have true invuls, stealth, kiting options via teleport/leaps, blinds etc. Theres nothing wrong with rev right now, people gotta adapt. By that logic every elite spec is op as well.

Oh and i forgot to mention..conditions.

What exactly is going on in this video? To me it looks like he’s not even hitting the initial attack most of the time. Is he showing the uneven terrain destroying the projectile?

Yep, thats one of the issues. Often the projectile doesnt return to me, it doesnt hit on the way back when i dance around my opponent, is too slow, is affected by projectile deflection/reflection preventing you to do any damage or even hurt yourself. Its really bad, just like that animation mess we have – starting with stab..for real?

Interesing enough, people who complain about rev/new elite specs are either know to be really bad at the game which they keep showing by lack of knowlegle (they tend to def their class like pu mes, dd ele), or their forum history is quite..short.

I been obversating duels for a while and many classes has fair chance against rev..but these duels are done with people that has knowlegle about rev and knows how to counter it. I already told a little secret to my qq friend how to catch rev right as he comes off sword 3 and other extra stuff i wont mention here. Since then he been doing much better against other revs. So stomp complain about something new and simply and l2p guys.

Comprasion Glint/Jalis comes from the fact that Glint..is tankier. They may be two diff but GLint does better job at tanking that the legend which was supposed to be a tank – Jalis. And its not problem on Glint, but Jalis being underpowered.

I would love to have it like whirlwind attack but..that will make it too op. Right now its hits hard cus its hard to aim, easy to miss. In good hands howered it does awful high damage on top of cc so basically you cant escape it unless you get stunbreak with stab.

It would have to be nerfed at this point.

Jalis lack stability (road doesnt count)
Jalis lack tankiness – 50% dmg reduction for 5sec inst a lot, slighty better than protection
Jalis lack stunbreaks (locked behind useless rite)
Jalis hammers – they keep disappearing (howered they are great in pve against group of mobs)
Jalis heal – too slow casttime, doesnt heal enough to sustain ourself.
Jalis taunt – feels much better now but the projectile is still too slow

Shiro is tankier..Glint is tankier.. Theres no place for Jalis in current state. I feel underpowered when i try to pick up dev+retri+invo lines with shiro/glint. At this point i really hope they make Jalis elite an upkeep like Mallyx.. That alone will improve him by 1000000000%.

Autoattacks should be consistent. Either all ranged/projectile, or no ranged/projectile.

Yeah..i hope they change it before launch otherwise it will be quite unplayable in pve and at some point also in pvp once people learn that all they have to do is reflect. Tbh i dont understand why they bother adding projectiles on melee autoatk in the first place..

I also count for “new” (mes sword chain) animations cus current one is so clunky that it feels like nothing but placeholder. They got staff right and i hope they get sword right as well.

The grunts are literally the worse thing about legends. If its all they supposed to “talk” they might as well delete that feature…

They dont talk much, if anything at all and so far i havent hear anything outside of combat.

Srsly… please can we be free from this? Deflect..reflects..and terrain cutting damage by 50% of the damage or even completely preventing from attacking as in vid. I dont mind if sword vul stacks get a lil nerfed but that thing..

I like people who spam sword 3..It always feels so good to phase smash them in face right as they come out of sword 3 and cant do anything about it due to aftercast

..it feels even better when they heal me.

Go condi build and laugh at revs if thats your problem and you want to counter something what was made to counter power builds in the first place. Did i mentioned that UA trigger confusion for each hit?
