Forced could use it slow affect to be increased up to 4 seconds. Main thing it needs is the projectile speed increase tho. Imo if Jalis was build around retal and slow he would be quite solid. Espesially slow as it drastically kitten everyone over.

Sword 5 is designed to get max damage out of sword 3, and also to eliminate sword 3s only weakness, by letting you pull your target off a wall.
One dodge and your enemy is back to team.. if it was supposed to work this way it would need 1200 range. 600 is nothing when UA has 450 radius.
It pulls them to you, so even if you were out of range of UA you’ll be in range after. It could definitely use an immobilize, though, to prevent what you’re saying.
Huh? I was talking about the fact that you can run 150 meters to teammates/pets or w/e after a pull and call it a day. Honestly this ability cost too much and if they want to keep it this way it should be unblockable at least to rupt shelters, crystal hibernation and so on – btw if it rupt these kind of attacks it doesnt even pull.
Atm outside of block sword is terrible and i considering to run shield like everyone else till they dont fix it..

I use shiro/glint with devastation, invocation and herald. The only need to use retribution is for stability, but shiro has sufficient stun breakers
Anyone with decent access to weakness will ruin you tho. I know how many glacial hits i been doing last beta against necros/thiefs.
All the more reason to use invocation right? it has a condi clear whereas retribution doesn’t.
And I use staff as well. so with the 2 additional condi clears, I’m taken care of.
I dont swap every 10sec nor i dont run staff as double melee is pointless and too easy to kill. Hammer also does much better at preventing incoming conditions as most of them coming from guess it..projectiles. 1 condi clanse is nothing, and with current new cleansing system i would say pathetic. You might remove 12 stacks of burn or 3 stacks of vul.
With dwarf stance i can continue to do what i wanted to do ignoring weakness on me..same goes with enemy cc due to stab on dodge so yeh, its not traitline i plan to drop anytime soon if ever unless ill be playing in pve. Ill stick to devastation tho so case closed.

Well i wouldnt really put Glint in op tier. People will adapt to heal and thats when troubles will start.. Howered i agree its too easy to manage energy on Glint.
Its more that Jalis is simply too weak atm to perform his tank role.

What else is there to Glint, outside of ele blast which i use off cd and burst of str? Chaotic release has too long cd to use it and cut myself from protection. Thats a fact. Its nice to bait dodges tho with wep stow.
Why perma protection? Just use it to take in hits you can’t evade/block.
Question is; why i should throw ability to get protection at any time i want for some weak launch with 45cd?

No news is goof news in this case. Can you just tell us how AA is going to change? Revenant has low aoe/cleave on AA except that projectile you’re removing. It uset to “emulate” cleave very well. Are we getting some range/buff to make up for it?

All along from the reveal, bb had 2 vuln for 6 seconds. This is left unchanged, so depending on the cleave it could just be a nerf.
Maybe it was 4 vuln before, since it used to hit on the way back. So even on vuln it may be a nerf
Cleave will be 3 target obviously. I dont consider it as a nerf by any means. You would get half of the projectile effect against walls uneven terrain or 0 like in my vid. Also mobs wil deflect/reflect would prevent you from doing any damage. That QoL change is also a buff. It wont hit 5 targets? Well who care. Sword wasnt designed to be a cleave weapon either way. That will be a job for future wep – gs.

Well in different words..i dont enjoy the playstyle of Glint, i had much more fun with Jalis but he doesnt work at all in current state (lack of sustain) so im kinda forced into boonbot. For me its the same playstyle as banner war /shrug

For a power build I’d suggest devastation and herald then for the third a choice between invocation and retribution based on your preferences.

Situation dramatically changed with new trait. Stab is also good to pressure someone and dont worry about cc like insta taunt from ranger or mantra from mes. Always better to prevent stuns rather than waste energy for stunbreaks which you could save up for odds/jade.
That fury trait doesn’t give you 100% crit chance it gives fury’s effect 100% meaning 100% of 20 is 20, so 20+20 = 40% crit from fury instead of 20%.
You only gain an extra 20% from the trait.
I know. Since air/fire nerf i been using accurace sigil. In betas i played rev with berserker amulet which would put me at 95% crit chance. Marauder is overrated on rev, its 5k hp which goes down in 1/2 hits.

I would if Jalis didnt sucked.. As it stands now Glint is superior which makes her mandatory, i was considering Mallyx for resistance tho. For now howered im going for x/retribution/herald with Shiro (always due to mobility). Dwarf battle stance and stab on dodge is too good to pass.

Been curious about it for a while and i dont know anymore.
Invocation boosts fury which in turn allow me to have basically 100 crit chance. Under fury also +7% extra dmg, stunbreak on legend swap. Lack healing.
Devastation provides temporary 10% atk buff to sword assuming youll stick to your target, some extra vul here and there, 7% extra dmg to targets with vul on, +150 aoe ferocity, life stealing on foes with vul and annihilation trait or extra 20% damage to foes under 50% hp.
Might be just me but inst 100 crit chance superior to the whole dev line? The healing while is always something doesnt make much difference in pvp actually when you can get auto for 3k. Thoughts?

Surely big changes incoming. I hope so. If mallyx and jalis still as they are i’m definitly going to main chrono in HOT. Don’t like the idea of being dependant of one legend (glint) who is clearly overpowered compared to others and only can take glint/shiro and ventari when they are 5 legends available.
I dont enjoy that boonbot either. Jalis is much better to play around but sadly hes too weak in current state. Still having hope to play without herald (arcana) traitline and remain viable.

Our sword auto chain #3 is still a projectile 3 years down the road. Took how long for the rev one to be fixed?
3 betas as far i know..in the moment where i joined the forum kittened off with a vid to show how terrible it is – and thats when we finally had it changed. Meanwhile Jalis still sux, so does Ventari. Mallyx was changed completely despite community asking politely to keep it the way it was, Shiro healing ability remains terrible as well..its all can be fixes and such but here is the thing..
Rev is a new class, one of the main selling points. When HoT launch i doubt Roy will still be around with us. Whatever wasnt fixed most likely will remain useless. Just like every other subforum we will also be complaining in future without answers making tons of suggestions and so on..it wont be any different from rest really.

Revenant is not designed to be pigeonholed into weapon traits like everyone else. Thats the first mistake they did with other classes. Try to run gs war without gs trait..

Well like i said in another thread it should be a shadowstep which pulls your target in a similiar fashion to phase smash. Or just make it ranged pull like everything else..cause you pull to close the gap right? Melee pull makes little sense.

Mallyx had access to every condition in this game..He lost fears, immo, cripples, vul, blinds..basically all. When you been in a teamfight you had about 9+ condi on yourself which you could spread. That pressure was really high there as even 3 dd ele wasnt able to cleanse it all. And its all gone for some cheap few extra stacks of torment.

It doesnt matter what elite spec they release. Base warrior has too many flaws;
- Str line is must have if you run gs..which you will ALWAYS do in dps build as everything else has 0 mobility. Maybe if they give warrior dps/mobility staff in future they could drop str or actually give axe some mobility and rework it in general.
-Def line, while quite weak its generally picked up for cleansing ire and endure pain at 25% hp. Tbh cleansing ire inst that great as it far from reliable without lb. If they could make gaining adrenaline on hit baseline warrior wouldnt be forced to run def line anymore.
-Discipline is mandatory, but its not due to fast hands. Its just too good to pass but the same goes for other classes really.
-No space for fun utility skills. Warrior without stances is a freekill as its his main source of sustain. You can pick up rage, physical, signets or w/e. But they do not offer any sustain options and if they do their cd is over the top (signets). If berserker could trait to cleanse and heal on rage skill usage it would be a whole different world
Its just better to move away from this passive crap and never look back. There are many new shinies coming with HoT like reaper, scrapper, rev. They all offer something which warrior will never get due to desing choice. Imho as i said its not problem with berserker..they can always tune it. Its problem with base war.

Taunt+resistance is generally a game problem. Its the most “op” thing vs Mallyx rev or anyone else with resistance really. Apply resistance from pet to bug the taunt on enemy and swap pet. Result? Gw2 crash, gg wp

But either way, that condi transfer to us should go away right now. Pain absord should become stunbreak+blind ability. It makes no sense anymore to condi transfer as the concept for Mallyx been changed completely.

As for -10 upkeep..that due to pulsing resistance which would basically end up unstripable for the duration of embrance. It should come at high price. -8 could work but we have to keep in mind +50% boon duration from F2 on Herald.
Mirrow mechanic might be interesing tho..just imagine that noob guard opening with insta 15 stacks of burn on you just to die 3 sec later..

Oh, on the notion of the Shadow Scale… It is the same ability as the Revenant sword 3 but on a twice as long CD, lower base power, lower ferocity values.
Last i checked it in wvw with beastmastery it had 1,4k in tooltip per hit. It was doing 10-12k to people without a single crit (and they wasnt running squishy builds). Now combine that with signet of the wild, sic’em and fury..Its overkill

So which specializations are you going to be giving up to unlock Herald, pal? Seeing how Data-Mining suggests you need 170 to unlock skills and traits, and you need 398 to unlock everything on the base profession.
Priority:
1. Invocation
2. Devastation
3. Herald
4. Retribuition
5. Salvation
6. Corruption
Is that a list for pve? For wvw it would be for me retribution, herald, Shiro, Glint. Not sure between invocation and devastation..the more i think about it..invocation pretty much offers superior damage due to boosted fury while devastation provides slighty more sustain via vul and gm traits.. Tough choice
