Well as rev main i have to say we could use some nerfs but also we need some rework to make our abilities actually worth using in teamfight at same time (sword 2, sword 3). Sword 2 is broken in 1v1 and useless in 1vX. Main offender here is the braindead double stab on dodge however. But generally speaking all elite specs needs to be nerfed, pointing out a finger at rev is just wrong. Also probably none of you have even tried to run revenant without herald traitline – its below trash level.
Asking for nerfs as “nuke down retribution line” is just ridiculous as most of it traits are trash already there.
Also keep in mind that our utility skills are supposed to be stronger as we cant mix em. We are locked into them whenever we want or not. Nerfing rev is fine in some area but he needs desperate help in other areas. Something to keep in mind before you start b…..

If i remember correct thief wins not a single 1v1, can t stand on point. Rev has the same role of +1 and decap but can even stay outnumbered for sometime cause has more blocks, invul and armor. Basically it should be a choice if u run thief or rev but currently there is no chance for running thief instead of revenant and that should be a sign maybe.
There was no way to run something with zerk build either past 3 years due to thief annihilating it with superior mobility. Fresh air ele? One shot bb. Shatter mes? Yummy food. War? Blindspam it. Everyone started building bruiser/tank just to survive vs one class and the thief role changed to +1. Do we have similiar situation with rev atm?

-Precision Strike. Cast time raised to 3/4 seconds, up from 1/2 seconds. Skill no longer targets invisible or stealthed foes. Chill duration reduced to 1 second, down from 1.5 seconds. Damage reduced by 15%.
-Burst of Strenght. Vulnerability stack reduced to 5, down from 10. Duration raised to 8 seconds, up from 6.
-Elemental Blast. Add a 0.5 seconds delay before first tick of damage to better match with Elementalist’s Lava Font OR adjust Lava Font to match Elemental Blast.
-Riposting Shadow. Add a 5 seconds cooldown.

With all of his suggestions. Not sure why he even suggest about rev when he doesnt know it works. But well.. im not surprised given his ele staff aa comprasion to other aa. Next episode will be ele staff aa vs rifle warrior aa, asking for a nerf to rifle cus he got outdpsed.

Revenant with these sigils on the other hand.. staff 4 is blast finisher, a nice combo into jade winds/surge and projectile reflect on sword 2..

matches u generally get from legendary queues are actually pretty good at the moment but u just have to wait eternity to get a queue pop. but i might rather just have diamond like queues because there simply isnt enough players with high enough mmr (or are climbing rly slow).
Except im not legendary yet but diamond with 6 pips. I dont play gw often atm, part of the reason are these incredible q timers.. lol
People complained about daredevil too and tbh.. in all of these 3 specs i dont see any point.
DD – basically old acro line for thief with extra dodge and upgrades to them. Fail name and fail icon..
Tempest – Im not sure what this spec is supposed to do? Ele was already bunker so lets gime them some more bunkering or wtf? This name sounds like it should be dps oriented spec but its another support junk
DH – longbow.. that was needed as scepter is a fail which wont be buffed ever. But traps? Srsly? Guard is already full of symbol skills, what does traps bring to the table? Not to mention that dh is just a passive kitten class. Also fail name
So yeah if we are in the hands of “you know who” rev is doomed. Dont count for anything else than some changes like +5% dmg, -5% dmg etc as it was with all of the specs above.
Thats not really a smart idea with current fail joke matchmaking..

Hmm… since i moved from hammer to staff i havent lost to a necro 1v1 with power rev. Even if they had full DS. Its uphill battle but its possible to win if you wont do too many mistakes. Worth mentioning that shield will get you killed vs them btw.
Yep, all of em. Enjoy beta class for a year or 2 as it will take a while to fix. Its been a while since sword damage bug was reported for example
I agree. Legendary backpieces should be dyeable. It looks ridiculous on my black-purple-red charr to the point where i dont even use it at all. For a legendary item i want more perks than some wings with tiny effect.
Well next balance patch will tell if they ever bothered to take a look.
staff 5 could definitely use an adjustment to be easier to use. But I speculate the issue is that you always rush a specific distance when using it.
yes, I dont know why we still have a selfroot on shield 5, they gave the reason that the heal was ‘strong’ for why we had the root. Then what do they go and do? nerfing the heal and still retaining the root.
Yep, that’s why offhand sword is actually better atm than trash shield but int that case you might as well just go for axe.
People still run shield in ranked at diamond. I personally dont complain about this fact, i love to grasp shadow for 4k them and pullright as they leave crystal hibernation. Immob kitten s em too if they are in Glint as i have easy set up for prec strike/surge. I can also block almost all UA due to 12cd. But hey.. in tourney they played with shield so its still must be good /shrug.

Thief is actually a pretty hard match up for rev. The majority of thieves are not very good.
pvp is not about 1v1…..
Meanwhile thieves crying about not being able to kill ppl 1v1..oh the irony. All is vain?

But i dont defend it. Its a fact. I was pretty much in winstreak till sapphire tier 3 where hell started and had really terrible teammates till ruby t2. Eventually i carried this kitten out and now im back on my track. If both teams are terrible you should carry it and climp up.. if you cant carry well..
Why do people use this argument to belittle those who complain about matchmaking?
This kind of logic would make sense in games like LoL or Dota because in those games, when you get kills, you progressively get stronger due to item purchases. That means yes, one person can solo wipe the enemy team because they are exponentially stronger in terms of stats than the enemy.
This is parallel to EoTM or WvW, where level 80s (+/- elite specs) can solo wiperally botsup-levels.But it doesn’t work for PvP, where your stats are constant. Even if you get a kill, you won’t be able to kill them faster in the next encounter.
To carry, you should be able to play 1v2 and win? Again, it’s easier in LoL to double kill than it is in GW2. You both have the same number distribution of stats, so even if you play perfectly (which would award you a win in a 1v1 situation not counting class counters), in a 1v2 situation, your enemy must play worse than you. It gets increasingly hard to 1v3, 1v4, and nearly impossible to 1v5.Say you can 1v2, that means you now rely on your teammates to win the 4v3. That’s not carrying at all, that means you need to have competent teammates.
Not to mention not having competent enemies who can also 1v2.Then how do you explain LordHelseth winning non stop with low mmr account? He did that, twice with two different low mmr account already to prove his point.
I don’t watch twitch streams. I would have to watch the videos to make a comment, and I don’t intend on watching hours of stream.
There are other factors to in this scenario. Did he communicate with his teammates? Did his teammates know he was smurfing? How many of his teammates were following his direction? A chicken with a head will run straighter than a headless chicken.
Did he 1v3? 1v4? 1v5? Even if he is a professional player, I doubt he could 1v5, maybe even 1v3.Secondly, using an outlier like a professional player to try and reject the average is simply bad statistics.
Yep spot on similar to what I said above. He’s a pro player apart from all the other factors involved maybe he can carry on a low mmr account but he’s still one of the best players in the game, the players affected by the matchmaking are mainly average players. They aren’t equal.
At some point it means they are supposed to be where they are for me. Only noobs/average players at best are still in emerald/sapphire. It would be nice if they could upload a vid from their match so we can see both sides but.. that wont happen for obvious reason.

Im wrecking on them and thats enough i believe, for me at least +theres also wvw roaming, duels and such. In fact i had 0 ranked games with rev before s1 started. But tbh with the way balance work here i dont take gw2 as serious pvp game anymore. Atm im actually playing Smite (a real esport game) more often and casually visiting gw.
In the end what legendary division provides me over diamond except lame title and some ugly bronze icon? Nothing at all. Leagues are a joke, they are too short and its too easy to climp up.

But shocking aura interrupt UA… the evade portion still plays but you dont teleport nor deal damage anymore. Thing is we basically have perma stability from a dodge so it wont happen often.
Bothers me that vengeful hammers isnt on the list.
Bc its not something they can fix in current state due to engine phys. It will be reworked to an aura probably.

Pretty much all elite specs made by Karl are a fail and theres a good reason for it. Rev will get karled as well at this point as we can clearly see it already. In best case we will get number tweaks and thats about it.
Tbh players in diamond are kitten too. I roflstomp them without trying. It way too easy to climp up in divisions. But well they was made with pve players in mind.

Condition damage should be reduced by toughness/protection and condition duration reduced by vitality
But in general conditions should have it damage portion removed and be changed to debuffs (opposite effect of boons) as they are too broken in pvp and you clearly can see it by 4+ necros per match in spvp abusing the kitten out of it /thread

As for bugs theres one thing i would like to add on – mistward set. Weapons are not adjusted to this set so they all clip inside. A good example would be greatsword on a charr – handle is stuck inside armor unlike other sets.

Maybe bc ppl gave up. Also they wasnt stackes in esl so everyone focus on rev now and reaper due to their numbers in ranked.
Im making it bc i want swapable stats. Other than that i agree with OP. Its fugly compared to fractal back. It wouldnt be that bad if we could dye it and keep it in stowed version for good. And the glider is a joke compared to gemstore stuff. It doesnt take expert to tell it was rushed.
Okay adjusted some stuff. Outside of Jalis and stunbrak on Ventari i think everything else seems to be fine. I have tweeted it to Roy. Mission done i guess?
