Not balanced enough. You should use two different weapons, and replace the heal glyph with the signed and one cantrip with a conjure. Alternatively use fiery greatsword as elite and replace one cantrip with a glyph.
I like your rune choice, but it is a bit … gimmicky. I’d go for the celestial set. Yes, I know that would be 6 equal runes, but celestial runes do everything better than your current set.
Edit: I just noticed your traits: You took 3 III traits. With that excess of III you’ll never achieve true balance.
so… i should use divinity runes?
oh i didnt even notice that about my traits lol
I’ve heard that lingering elements doesn’t exactly work, and i’ve heard that it does and id like some confirmation on that.
If it does, then a burst build like this will be exceptional
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fEAQJArYhMmmblRygjEAkCpEUQgCTGd8R9QMA-ToAA0CoIqRVjrGTNyas1MoYSA
with lightning flash and arcane wave and arcane blast
me like a lot
once you survive it? idk bout that. but u can try. This is just an amazing example of what you can really do with an ele compared to a warrior
How to beat stun warriors before they even react.
Watch this. This ele burst build is wicked insane and will crush warriors before they even react or pop stability.
Wow, im sorry for reposting all those… my computer was glitching up and said there was an error preventing me from posting it…
How to beat stun warriors before they even react.
Watch this. This ele burst build is wicked insane and will crush warriors before they even react or pop stability.
yeah, i know. but still. im just saying how op warriors are when it comes to movement
Ottohi’ll take a look!
Pros:
You’ve got some decent to high damage here.
You’ve got a good knockdown or two as well as some good CC.
You’ve got good access to stability.
If you ambush successfully someone you should KO them quite easily.
You’ve got bullsrush + mobile strikes.Cons:
You’ve got no sigils
You’ve got runes that’ll end up killing you at 20% hp.
You’ve got horrendous condi removal. It’ll destroy you.
You’ve got a trait that would never do anything for you (Cull the Weak).
You’ve got only one movement skill on a 32 second cooldown. That’s not very useful for that last disc trait.
You’ve got low mobilityClasses this could work against:
Ranger
mesmer
thiefClasses this probably wouldn’t work against:
Warrior
Engie
Necro
guardian
elementalist
Ranger with stability
Mesmer with stun breaks
Thieves that use conditions.
LOL I know! It wasn’t exactly 100% complete, i’m just thrown random ideas and builds together to see if I can get something to pop that isn’t already a no-skill skullcrack 100b or somthin. Plus I couldn’t make up my mind about sigils or runes, ESPECIALLY the runes. XP
Like i said, it has low condi removal, and it’s more of a pug-build. idk y I posted it, im just kinda bored atm and want ppl’s suggestions to builds and stuff. I’ve made completely better builds than that, but i’m just goin back to easy-mode
Roll Warrior. They’re pretty big now and they’re getting a shout buff coming up here in about another week that’ll make them even more supportive
this is how you never be caught as a warrior.
Roll Norn and do this http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIMQNBMhFqE0RszYIqQwwHQQK0wswUwIUKwj6A-jgxAlNo6GahDpEiVaBrwAA-e
Bulls Charge, Savage Leap, Rush, Whirlwind Attack, and you can pick either Snow Leopard or Bear form…prolly leopard cuz…invis
and Mobile Strikes…
Celestial amulet without magic find is just not worth it.
Pvp Celestial Amulet…
oh idk, mines not quite exact, but per hour id say at least 5g. it really varies a lot. i get anywhere from 5g-20g per hour. Depends on how much glory I have and how much arcane materials i have…
it’s called a warrior, brah.
For necro, you could pop on some swiftness, signet of locust and hop into DS and do Dark Path or just before your target gets too far away, pull em back with Spectral Grasp.
oh yeah, another thing i’d do than playing skyhammer, is getting on top of the trebuchet targets on those cliffs, or getting down to the bottom of HotM.
I doubt this is actually a “bug” but or maybe it was, but it was odd. A while ago in pvp, i was playing Raid on the Capricorn on my warrior and I was running up toward the Beach point where an enemy guardian was chillin. So i got close to him and I used Bulls Rush. Jus a split second before I hit him, he used either Sanctuary or Shield of Absorption and right then, I was sent flying straight up into the air practically above the whole map. It was cool, but weird. I tried doing it again, but it must’ve been a one-in-a-million kinda thing. :P
any1 ever have something like this happen?
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fEAQFAWhImibzxzgjFAkDnEOow4QIiDVUOMDA-TgAAyCsICTZjTIDOSts3A
Celestial pvp ele…do not attempt. or attempt…
this is what I do when I don’t play a match on skyhammer: I get on my warrior, put on the 50%less falling damage trait, and hop on down to the ground, walk around, and explore This is what I also do when I don’t play Skyhammer: I get on my warrior again, go to Forest of Niflhel, i go to henge with Hammer and Sword/warhorn, hop on the rocks and I use earth shaker to jump on top of the pillars, then I hop across them to the other side, and I use Savage Leap to jump from the end of the pillar and over the hill, where you can then walk behind the keep and up a little hill. You can walk/swim behind the henge and all the way behind the mine, where you climb up and up and up a steep hill onto a mountain (but if you’re not careful, you can fall and get stuck inside of the mine) and you get get above Svanir from there. It’s super fun.
And also, before it was patched, you used to be able to glitch out of Spirit watch, which was SO much fun!
yeah, kinda, but the stats are just real low
making/combining dyes is actually really easy to do and it’s super rewarding
Of course, no one ever uses celestial amulet or the divinity runes in pvp, unless they’re going for mass crit damage. But don’t you think it’d be nice to see the Celestial amulet come into play a bit more in pvp. like, make it a bit more viable, or lower the stats on it and add celestial rings/earrings in pvp? So you’d only be able to select the celestial earrings/rings IF you chose the amulet, and not if you picked like Soldiers amulet and celestial earrings and rings…
What do you think?

I tossed this build together and was wondering if anybody would go ahead and make comments on it/pros and cons, etc… It lacks condition removal, but it only has mobile strikes plus restorative strength, so i guess that counts as something. it’s a pvpbased build…so don’t expect greatness from this
I’ve barely seen use of the physical skills since the current warr meta obviously…but I’m just wondering WHY does kick do more damage than bulls charge? ..
thats true, but on some champs, when you get down to the last stack of defiant, it still kinda works…but you’re right.
ah, zealots defense doesnt need a symbol. its fine as is…plus aegis granted on pulse seems a tad bit op…considering it affects allies. :P
And I wouldnt add a symbol to smite at all. If anything I might, however, add a 1sec knockdown to the last hit, if i was able to.
zerker hammer build
lay down weakness on target followed by On my Mark, skull crack, swap frenzy and hammer away… easy
Not just the vigor from the trait, but the vigor from war horn, and furious reaction and quick breathing. So, essentially it should give me perma vigor if rotations are used right. Most of the time I’ll have 4 boons up, giving me +8% dmg increase and during cc fights, +10% more dmg for stability. It’ll help me kill things quicker when they drop below 50% hp cuz of the infiltrator runes +10% dmg total vs foes under 50% hp. comes to about 18% more dmg then. which seems pretty good
Here’s what I usually run (PvP version):
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-sF-p;1NKVP0S4gLkQ0;9;59JJJ;12;018-08-27-LNV6;2sJICpJIC1gFNice healing, lots of condi removal with longbow F1 cleansing ire and warhorn, the mix of power and condi damage makes sword and longbow both do some pretty nice damage. Also has some nice surprise CC with stability.
Don’t forget to switch to longbow often for some free poison =D.Helpful condi-conversion chart:
Torment, weakness -> 3 stacks of might
bleed -> vigor
blind -> fury
chilled/crippled/immobilized -> swiftness
confusion ->retaliation
fear -> ???
poison ->regen
vulnerability ->protection
that’s pretty juicy
I need some critique on this build I made a few days ago. It’s not your typical support build, but go ahead and make suggestions/comments about it
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fUAQNAreSlcgyBXHyvDmIFS2DWKBRwqC7DWBO6ShCJRA-TgAA0CoIgSBlDKDUSosQB
This build uses Vigorous Focus, Empowered, Destruction of the Empowered, and Sure-footed with balanced-stance and last stand. It’s not fully specced with gear, but the skills/runes are a base for the build.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQRBMhd21InTMcyjxDTkABp4LyiTBAUpAP2wkiygNA-jgwAFP0aIR0oUACqMC-e
if you would add/change some things to it to make it better…go ahead and link it
(just an experimental build if it’d work/be viable)
need feedback, suggestions, etc…
Shrug it off+shake it off+soldier’s runes… is still kinda iffy but, warriors do have pretty good condition removal utilities and traits, BUT we sacrifice a of Dps or armor if running shouts.
The only good thing about shake it off and shrug it off is the fact that they’re both stun breakers. If running a more defensive build, one might use balanced stance+last stand, giving them a total of 4 stun breakers with the 2 shouts… just as an example though. that setup may not be very good dps-wise.
I love cleansing Ire, but it’s a pretty big investment and I was wondering what setup should I use for condition removal while still maintaining an okay-decent amount of dmg output and survivability? (I love stability too and I always take balanced stance+last stand, cuz that’s what I do.)
@Fiorrello,
Not sure I follow you (granted I only made 80 on my warrior a few days ago). How is the WH all that effective? By dropping the off-hand sword, you give up a huge block ability and that nice extra condition you can use with the #4.
The other problem I have found with the condi build in general is that when you face off against a Necro, things don’t end well. All those conditions I apply are sent right back to me.
thats kind of where the warhorn comes into play. instead of having to build up and land your burst you can use your warhorn to remove your conditions for you. the big main condition removing skill has a 12 second cooldown and effects all allies in a 1200 range radius. on top of that it turns bleed and torment into vigor and poison (one of our big counters) into regen.
so the trade off is instead of a fairly decent block and another dot condition you are gettting aoe weakness, condition removal, and a blast finisher.
You are wrong with the war horn dude…
Call to arms (#5) just grants vigor and weakens foes in 600 radius.
Charge (#4) Grants swiftness and cures crippled, chilled, and immobilize in a 1200 radius.
If you are using the Quick Breathing trait, which turns ONE condition on you into a boon. If you got 4-5 conditions on you, and none of which are cripple, chilled, immobilize, or weakness, and say those conditions are blind, vulnerability, bleeding, burning and confusion. any of the 2 skills with Quick Breathing will convert a random condition into a boon…and the sad part is, that if you already have a boon, it could simply stack that boon and not give you regen like you hoped.
Why does everyone post essentially the meta s/s+lb build and try to claim they invented something new? It’s weird. You don’t see people posting Mace/Shield+GS builds acting like they just discovered the new world, but when it comes to this condition build people act like an angel appeared to them in the night and gave them some revealed wisdom.
True story
if u wanna use the channeling traits, scepter is your best bet in air
from spvp, it’s so easy to get gold. I know that you mean you want gold as a reward, but if you build up your glory enough somewhere in the 200k+ and save your arcane mats, you can buy tons of consumable tokens and make endless dyes! I got a celestial dye on my 3 attempt ftw
stability=not getting rag-dolled all over the place
Roll warrior if u want the most stability…if not, then just bring some good stun breakers
Man, healing signet isn’t op enough. What warrior needs, along with healing signet is soothing mist, AoE Virtue of Resolve, 2 rangers running Spirit of Nature, and maybe that warrior running Dolyak Runes and regen banner just for kicks… XD
CC warrior, fear necro, LB ranger, hammer guard…basically any cc build XD
But if you were to take skyhammer seriously, if you were a guardian in a hypothetical tpvp group in line for skyhammer, how would you need to build for it? (leaning more towards a more defensive build just cuz)
how would you build for a warrior or any class taking skyhammer seriously while trying to stay alive as long as possible and not getting CC’d off the edges as best you can…
Best way I can think of is adding Distracing Strikes to it, and going frenzy right before entering Rampage and try to stack up vulnerability and land some confusion stacks.
The skill in my opinion, is an okay point-holder utility. It has some crazy low cd cc skills and I love the daze on the end-chain.
I was using distracting strikes on my warrior with spiked armor, and that was nice, but i was going for a class that has an easier access to retal/confusion. I might make a mesmer in a few weeks and try that out
How many rocks does rock barrier hurl? is it 5? or 6? and i didn’t see that he used it, but i guess that would be smart to do. I so wanna try that. What if you could teleport allies with lightning flash?
Stun warriors hate FGS. Also i found it more efficient not to bother with stun warriors. Then again im pure wvw and no jack about spvp.
One does not simply ignore warriors in circle wars.
What circle?
The capture points.
How to beat stun warriors before they even react.
There’s a 20% chance that the warrior isn’t absolutely terrible and block/dodges as he sees the earthquake animation though. Or you simply suffer from critfail/Warrior is using Defy Pain and not Spiked Armor and then you’d have to hope that Updraft/Phoenix lands.
Plus I prefer s/f for not getting pew pewed on by rangers/engies.
omg…that insta kill
what about if you did dragons tooth, earthquake then halfway thru earthquake, teleport @ target and swap to air, arcane wave+arcane blast and RTL/lightning strike all within like 1-2 tops like in dat vid… im still flabbergasted at that burst…
uh huh
how bout a monk class like the d3 monk?
