SLI will not work in GW2 or so I’ve read. As others have said, game is CPU bound. Maybe one day the game will rely more on the GPU and we can all be happy.
False,SLI does work with gw2 but the performance increase isn’t as noticable as in most other games.Also mmo’s are always cpu bound,untill we all move to dx12 that won’t be changing for now.
So far ive been playing fine for about an hour or so after constantly getting booted or having lag and disconnects or not able to login.Now im able to switch maps able to play without lag ( a bit ) or disconnects.So whatever changed or got fixed,it helped for me atleast.

Temporarily fixed.. you mean we can now load a toon into a map but then sit waiting for it to crash any second.. or take our chance and try changing maps to go do something usefull, only to find your stuck back in the same loading screen you have been waiting to load for hours previous.. nah it aint fixed, far from it.
Well yeah that’s true. What I ment is that if you’re lucky you can stay on for a longer time. :P I managed to do 2 full fractal runs without dc, but later dced anyways, so I am very happy it didn’t happen during the fractals runs.

F2p players usually dont give a thing about a games community if they can only play one aspect of the game.I think there’s gonna be alot of trolling/flaming + an influx of bots and goldsellers.
How would you think anet could fix this problem ? Lets say you sit in a queue,your enemy’s party queu has 1 person thats on your blocklist,while another guy from the enemy’s queu has one person from your queue on block.The queue would need to either remove you or the other persons from the list to start looking for people you don’t have on block…Increasing queue times for Everyone just because 2 people have someone on block,it would be a messy thing.
Ignore the guy,keep playing and don’t put any attention to it.
I am tired of people not wearing gear in PvP and then arguing that wearing gear doesn’t matter. Even if the survivability it gives is paltry, it is still putting your team at a disadvantage.

I have gotten used to jumping when using magnet pull just before it lands, its a nice trick to pull from places above you etc. It doesn’t fix the problem but I got a lot less desyncs than before.
True,i do the same when i run lbow on my warr to lessen the possibility of getting obstructed.
They need to start fixing landscape geometry bugs for that,like all those random obstructs happening with projectile skills aswell.

Just checked mos millenium…yeah your server seems pretty dead to me.You’re ticking the lowest score atm in NA – 50p.I’m from EU myself,but depending on what activities you want to be doing most,zerging,small scale roaming or solo roam.. your best bet is to move up a bit in between the 1 – 6 servers.
These money tournaments are the equivalent of bread and circuses from ancient Rome. Sure we don’t have any kind of meaningful way to rate ourselves in the actual game or leaderboards or anything like that but every once in awhile we throw 50k around to fogify the E-Sportz people.

Spend that 50k on upgrading your WvW servers perhaps.
That woulnd’t fix whirl or make it more viable at all.Whirl needs to put you in an evade state or reflecting projectiles to make it something worthwhile.

It’s pretty much unplayable again since the cap has been raised,please lower it again by 10 per map.Zerglings complain about lag but they’re too stupid to zerg less to avoid this issue,please..lower the cap again.As a roamer i’m unable to get a fight without being interrupted by lag,all the zerglings probably don’t mind because they’re mindlessly spamming 1 anyway “For da lootz”.

It could be ok if mending was better. The might is too short to be useful to TTL and using the HS active is too situational and infrequent to justify taking the trait

You can actually make a perfectly viable power build using arms, with the gm trait only being so-so. It’s just not optimal. Its be a significant power increase too, imo.
Even for condi builds though, Arms is sub-optimal due to FH. Release the beast and Arms will see more use from both condi and power specs (and hybrid, of course).
But, yeah, I wouldn’t cry if SM became a strength adept trait. I’d run a lot of valk or carrion gear too, depending on my weapon comp.

Would be great for roamers facing multiple opponents where finishing can be a kitten and downed state makes them win eventhough they lost

One question for you guys,do you think Signet Mastery is in the right spot? Do you ever trait for or make good use of Restorative strength ?
Imo, the only reason to think it’s in the “wrong” place is that it gets way less use than it otherwise would because FH is pulling us into Discipline for every viable build.
Signet Mastery’s about the only thing that tempts me into the Arms line (and I don’t currently run Arms). Considering even optimal condi builds don’t typically run Arms, it’d feel like raiding the line for it’s only treasure and then leaving it in the dust.
If FH was made baseline, though, I bet Arms would see way more use, though. For condi and direct damage builds.
I don’t know, I still enjoy playing Warrior in pvp. My build is all knockdowns, and really the only reason I run rampage for the additional kd. The only classes that still infuriate me are Mes and Engi. (Some Necros)
Just think anet wants war to stay in the middle of the pack.

In a perfect world, all classes would be in the general vicinity of each other so the difference between being in the top or bottom of the pack wouldn’t matter so much.
Exactly,but the trait is so kitten useful for power builds and you usually go into arms when you run condi where blocking doesnt matter when condi’s have been applied and are ticking and the 6 sec of unblockable can be pretty pointless in that situation.Now when you would run a power build Gs/hamm or w/e where Signet mast would be placed into strength,wouldn’t that make more sense for unblockable to activate at 50%hp since you’re not relying on condi’s anyway ?

That completely depends on what you want to run,i’d suggest not to go full zerk right away.. Note; Mobility is a Must in WvW,either Sword or Gs..going without mobility is a deathwish.If you’re a new player,i hope you already tried out some pvp to give you a feeling of what you want to be using.
Always try out stuff in pvp first,it’s free and easy to test.If you’ go for anything like Gs/hamm make a combo of zerk/knight/valk to get some balance in your stats so you won’t be a complete wet noodle.Untill you got the exp and the feeling of warri in general and how to deal with certain classes/builds and fights vx numbers of people,drop the idea of going full zerk because you will get frustrated before you even get the chance to like and learn how to deal with everything.Warr is easy to play but hard to master especially in this meta.
Never spamm away your skills,make sure that what you want to land will land
Bait and count dodges
Dont try to stun or knockback someone that has stabi or block up,Keep your eyes on their boons
Always try to anticipate and act accordingly to what your opponent might be doing ( this comes with experience when you’ve fought multiple classes and know their spikes )
Do not spamm random dodges,make them count on skills you Need to dodge
Do not randomly push your utils but make sure you use them at the right time when needed

so there are really special, but the cooldown start right after using the Banners?
Yes,Battle standard stays for a duration of 65 seconds while the normal Util banners for 95 sec.Cd starts immediately after throwing banner.
What ingame settings do you use ? I’d Highly suggest to lower the Character limit and Character quality setting since this is Extremely heavy on cpu’s ( No matter what cpu you have ) with alot of people near dropping your fps massively.
Also turning shadows to medium and reflections to terrain only will drastically improve your fps.
Your gpu isn’t the issue here btw,for e.g i switched some months agofrom a GTX560 to a GTX970 FTW+ and there is barely any improvement,Gw2 is just very cpu heavy like most mmo’s.

SMAA is not yet added in the UI of Gw2,it is however available in the GFXSettings.Gw2.exe located in your appdata/roaming folder.

So in your scenario the problem is you have a ranger standing still somewhere off point firing away at you while your fighting someone else….. how would your idea harm the ranger in this situation? You are arguing to make them weaker 1v1 without solving what you are complaining about.
The argument isn’t that i want the skill to be changed because of an 1on1 scenario.When rangers add on a 1on1 fight for e.g and start off with rapid fire there is nothing besides reflect that could scare them off from not using it,not talking about any invuln either.Now when you make it so rangers are being locked into place when using a high velocity skill like rapid fire ( aka hundred blades at range imo,feel free to disagree ),any movement will interrupt it.
When you would be fighting someone 1on1 and the ranger adds in the fight at range,the ranger has to make sure he;s able to fully connect all hits and making sure he’s far enough foryou to not chance targets and focus him directly so he has to either cancel out rapid fire or pop an invuln.I dont ask for a nerf to anything honestly,i just really feel that there is no skill involved in using such a high burst skill as rapid fire,and locking rangers into place will make sure they have have to think about when to actually use it.

Is this meant to be ? Because the bug has been reported several times now and still hasn’t been fixed.Either adjust the tooltip correctly or put the duration back to 6 sec base.

People were able to live and move on with their lives through the no white swords gambit, I’m sure people will continue to live and get back to their old routines when the golem gambit is over with.
That event was actually ok for small scale roamers,lotta people liked it since there was more need for proper scouting aswell.This event on the otherhand is most of all Bugged and they didnt have it in them to respond on the issue.Besides i havent met a single person besides a ktrainer that liked this event.
Lost faith and respect in them for staying silent during the entire week of a golem event that no one wanted + the bug that didn’t got resolved or any attention put to it for that matter.Just another reason for me to not buy hot or spend anymore money on this game,will i stay playing ? Sure,wvw is ALL I DO,im such an exception.

You know, not all players all the same. Some like to play with themselves in their Home Instance. We already have upgrades like nodes, trees, and cloth lines. There’s also a Wintersday tree and Hidden Bandit Chest. Anet added these things so players can play.
While it’s true that many like to play with themselves in their home instance, many like to do that while in open PvE also,
lol.

This is only a week long event, so it really isn’t the end of the world. Some people really need to lighten up and learn it is only a game.
Participate in the ONE WEEK event or don’t. I shouldn’t be surprised that people are saying such things but I still am.

Do you really think people are mad about just the golem event? It’s not only the event, it’s that the golem event is a tipping point, the last straw for a lot of people. It’s that the WvW pop feels that Anet doesn’t care about them, the game mode, and is just straight up ignoring them. They’re mad that the president of the company thinks that there aren’t people who ONLY play WvW, that WvW players are really just confused PvE players. They’re mad that there are bugs that have been around for years, and no decent updates or changes to the system.
This sums it up perfectly for me.
Went out of the spawn trying to do some roaming. This is basically the first greeting I received.
Ha..my experience yday,also the first thing i met was a thief exploiting,had 14k backstab on me and lightning strike ( sig ) that popped for 4.6 i think,just lol…
This silence from anet is wonderful aswell.
