Did some timeline shift happen,am i back in 2012 ?
Havn’t really seen enough content so far besides the specializations which will be my primary reason for buying this exp since i dont want to be kitten out vs other people that have full acces to all specializations.Laying down 45e just for that is a bit to much.Also i have no idea how much different armor/weapon sets will become available ( not gemstore ! ).Besides that i’m not all that interested in the pve side of gw2 anymore so i highly doubt i will suddenly start liking it in hot.And i kind of feel they didn’t really listen that much to their playerbase the last 3 years.
Tons and tons of suggestions ( good suggestions ) have been ignored,bugs that are still ingame and not being looked at.Only one new imo poor pvp map implemented,moba style.if i want to play a moba i’d play that,i’d rather like to see some deathmatch maps coming in that require less time and money to be made i reckon since there arn’t any new mechanics being introcued with it,just a Map to fight each other…what pvp should be all about.And i;m also pretty much dissapointed what ive seen from the new wvw bl,it looks like eotm v2 to me.So yeah the only reason i’d buy it now will be specializations only,so i’m holding off.
Maybe it’s also win 10 related,possible.I don’t have or want windows 10 so i cant test the perf diff myself.But i don’t think it’s a good thing to keep on using that mobo,i don’t know how your 16x pcie slot died but i doubt its a wise thing to keep on using that mobo though.
Also it’s possible that since the 980TI is a much stronger gpu than the gtx660 that you just notice the perf drop from using 4x more than you did when using the 660. ( I know from exp that my fps is crap in 4x compared to 16x using a 970.
edit: I did read somewhere that win10 likes to automatically install drivers eventhough you already have them installed.Have you checked if windows have overwritten yours ? And if so,check to see if you can disable it from doing that.

You’re running your gpu on a broken mobo with 4x instead of 16x,you should not be surprised by having bad performance.
I know ep is only vs physical,i just figured that vamp aura and leeching would be counted as direct dmg aswell,since it says so in my logg and not go through an invuln state.It just doesnt make sense to me where i have vamp mark on me where 5 ppl around can leech through it while having ep up,what’s the point of having invulns if this is possible.This is what has been happening to me mostly i think where the leech dmg is soaking through ep.Now it isn’t an issue when it’s 1on1 perhaps…it is when there’s multiple people around and you start melting regadless.

No where does it actually say it’s supposed to go through invuln states.It does says it ignores armor and is “guaranteed” to steal life,but should this really happen through invuln states though ?

You generally only want to use healsig when you need to resist the condi’s on you for a while.If you ran out of berserk or when you cant cleanse at that time and you get spammed by a full bar of condis.Ive had resistance save my kitten a couple of times now.But i’d never use it just to stack might though it’s not worth it.
We found the culprit,sorta.It has to do with Necs using
Vampiric Aura ( You and your nearby allies siphon health with attacks. )
Signet of Vampirism ( Passive: Heal when struck by a foe.
Active: Heal yourself and mark a foe. Allied players will siphon life from that enemy. ) and the Vampiric trait that’s making damage go straight through Endure pain.
Even when he used sig of leech while i had Endure pain up,i still got the full 900 dmg from it aswell.
If you wanna make a proper report please go test it out 1on1 with a nec and you’l see.Never played nec myself so im horrible at explaining it,i just took this all from what my buddy said when we tested it.
The shot below shows my log when i popped endure pain for him to test it on the 0’s inbetween the damage is from ep where the damage just keeps ticking through.So 5 people affected by this will all hit you,5 people with sig of leech will do 5x 900 dmg on u while u got ep up.

The only way you can fully land this skill is to skullcrack someone or pindown him,1on1 speaking.In a 1vx scenario there’s too much evades,blocks,blinds,retal,interrupts and able to port out /stealth and gain distance going on to ever make this skill viable as it currently is.Just to use it as an adren filler shouldnt be the purpose of the skill.
As a matter of fact, I agree with that analysis. I very rarely hit all 15 strikes of the Whirling Axe, and when I manage to do so, it’s indeed thanks to successful skullcrack. In average, what I consistently get is about 8-9k damage, and 1 bar of adrenaline. I usually prepare the skill with stability and cripple (sword #2, good to close in). The short CD of Whirling Axe (15s untraited) allows for quite a sustained aggression.
While I welcome 1v1, I rarely do 1vX, because I run Berserker and it’ better for the team if I seek and +1 elsewhere. In group fights (XvX), the Whirling Axe can shine a lot though – damage can be applied to many targets (players and adds), adrenaline is replenished at a faster rate, and you can combo with friendly combo fields.
Look at thieves daggerstorm for instance which gives stabi on a 3 sec interval/bleed and cripple and reflecting projectiles on top of that the daggers can bounce between targets and ( from wiki ) One foe may be hit directly by up to 8 projectiles, at the rate of about one per second. The number of hits is inversely related to the distance between the foe and the thief, with one dagger hit from the skill’s maximum 900 range distance, and 8 hits while standing directly on target.
Now compare this to our whirl.There’s no denying the Daggerstorm is a nice skill, but it’s an elite with 90s CD, so I don’t think the comparison is valid. One could compare the stolen Whirling Axe of the thief with our own, to advocate for some buff (reflecting or destroying projectiles). But the thief can only acquire the skill against a warrior class, and the CD of his steal reduces the frequency of this acquisition – something that could reasonably legitimate the difference.
I’m not saying Axe #5 is the ultimate skill of the warrior, nor that Sword/Axe is superior to the GS! However, I do believe that Sword/Axe is a potent setup, unfairly frowned at by other warriors.
I know dagger has a higher cd but i just put it in there to show what can be done with the skill by adding either of the buffs that dagger has,hell i wouldnt even mind an increase in cd on it if the skill is being made more viable to use,like buff it up to 25 sec cd and give it 2 extra effects ( cripple/stabi/reflect/evading ) either of those imo.People have been asking to buff whirl for ages now.The only time i still see a warri run offhand axe is when it notice it’sa fairly new player or just some guy trying stuff out and quickly realizing whirl isn’t worth it.

The damage of the skill is not low at all, it’s one of the highest damage available to the warrior in PvP. I’ve hit up to 14k with it already, don’t know why you’d say this is low.
Because it’s channeled… autoattacking deals more damage than it.
If you’re using the skill for its damage, you’re doing it wrong. Its only use comes from building adrenaline if for whatever reason no other method of doing so is available. I don’t really feel that tagging mobs is a good enough reason to call it a useful weapon since it’s not like it is very difficult to gain event credit without it, but some people seem to like it for that as well.
I should have been more specific, sorry. My point is made in a PvP context, not a PvE context (or even a WvW one). In PvP, and PvP only, Axe #5 receives a 50% damage bonus, compared to other game modes.
As the damage of Axe #5 may easily represent more than half of your opponent’s health, I consider it significant. Taking into account other factors, such as adrenaline building or combos, my opinion (based on several hundred of PvP games with this setup) is that developing and applying rotations based around Axe #5 can be quite effective. YMMV.

I dont understand why they’re barely communicating with us or responding to suggestions.Look at Se where the main dev of FF online even communicates with people on how to improve the game.Our players that have been providing tips and suggestions on how to improve pvp/Wvw are being ingored for 3 years all because you think you know best,and now youre going F2P,well done !
They do know best. Why? Cause they can see all kinds of data of what is going on, something that you and anybody else cannot see. If you can see what they do, then you might be singing a different song to. They can test things out on their side if they feel a suggestion might have some warrant to it.
I’ve been seeing loads of suggestions in the past that could greatly improve this game but all got ignored.The time that they removed the suggestions section in the forum said enough for me,them going f2p now isn;t a good thing really.The strongest foundation of an MMo is communicating with your players ( The people that spend money on your gemstore,the people that play every day,the people that spend time to even post these suggestions ) on how to improve the game,going your own way and ignoring suggestions and actually going against will only backfire.

Low dmg,easily interrupted or evaded,killing yourself on retal or your enemy gaining distance untill it ends.Whirl reflecting projectiles Or being put in an evade state would make this skill atleast a bit more viable.Adding a cripple effect or immob even,currently it’s just weak and easy avoidable
Ham/mace def which can make people rage if you stunlock them perfectly.The thing is mobility will be your biggest issue,you can be outkited all day long by a proper player.But it’s real fun to play nonetheless.
The cd reduction got removed from the trait after the big skill patch..for whatever reason.Probably cus everyone was running around with banners back then literally,all we could see was banners banners everywhere !
No,i really have no clue why they removed the cd reduction,makes no sense to me banner builds were rarely used at all.
I always wondered this about warrior skills. The problem is keeping enemies near you, the last thing i want to do is push them away.
Gives you the idea that these skills have been brought in by someone not familair with this class,at all.Or perhaps one side of it.

Maybe I went too glassy in my build (I went like 40% zerker, 40% soldier, 20% rabid?), but I was on my back more often than on my feet. Those snipers would just obliterate me, way more than other classes I played. I’m not exactly sure why. My normal Warrior seems much tougher than that. I seemed to take crazy amounts of condition damage relative to other classes I’ve played.
As for the Berserk skill itself, I really do wish that it was something more “always on” in a fight. With the other classes, you have 24/7 access to their unique traits, but with the Zerker, I found it was a real hassle to keep her adrenaline high enough to activate it.
Also, the UI for it is a bit bad, with the F2 hidden behind the F1. Really with the Berserker I’d prefer to just remove the F1 abilities entirely, what’s their point now?
Isn’t that always the case ? We’re a class that is heavily relying on bursting where gaining the adren to do so can be a pain,then it also serves the 2 other purposes..cleansin and gaining hp.The design in this is just wrong imo.

Yea i had the same on my revenant. I guess its a bug which happend to me after transferring/copying condis back to pet/ranger. I got stuck for 15 seconds in taunt without the taunt condi boon on me, just as in your screenshot. Needless to say i did not survive
^ That’s what i meant,ive had it happen multiple times where my char is just uncontrollable after taunt ends,cant switch targets,cant switch weaps,cant use skills.I dont play ranger so i dont know how or what,but something is wrong with taunt currently,it also goes through my evade window and is unblockable which it doesn’t say on the wiki page.
considering you have to go into discipline / defense ,anyway you don’t have that great and much options.
Warr always needs to go into those lines to be anywhere near viable,no matter the spec.We just don’t have much room to move around no matter if u wanna roll some stunlock build,full zerk or full condi,def/disc is always needed in most situations cus cleansin/weap swap and burst mast is usually a must.Then you also got the same utils which are usually a must,berserk/stabi and ep.We’re being forced in one direction leaving little room for diversity no matter what you try,going without all of this just won’t do any good.

Which is buggy as kitten atm,it’s even going through evade window/block.It seems my character buggs the kitten out after taunt being applied and when it’s gone again,alot of times im unable to move for a split sec/unable to switch weaps/delay on weap use unable to switch target for a while after taunt is gone.Taunt is Buggy as kitten.
No,i ’m able to make my own decisions without some reviewer telling me to Go Buy This Game.I bought gw2 based on my own experience i had with gw1.
I’m getting tired of a pindown or a smoldering arrow getting randomly obstructed by the slighest height difference..do something about this pls.I already usually jump whenever i try to land a pindown but most of the times it doesn’t even matter and the skil still get’s obstructed unless on flat ground,it counts for most projectile skills,

So many heros on this tread….roamers ganking are just no good, no skilled players who are scared of PvP or suck at PvP …so they come to WvW with an UBER class in full PvP setup with food and everything and 3 looser friends and gank peoble in Zerk/BloB gear. well done you are heros….Roamers are just a bump on the road and they do very little for their server to actually win the machups. So down to it im happy that most peoble comes to WvW to win the machups…imagine all were just roaming zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

There’s loads of proper players out there that are bored of the same old pvp game modes and jump in wvw to roam,or simply just do both.There’s more freedom and different kind of fights to get when roaming compared to pvp.Stop assuming just cus you suck at it.

Ive been wanting to post this some time ago already but at times i wanna wear the scarf but that means i’d have to spend money first on a kit to remove my beard before applying the scarf because; look at the screenshot. Can it be made so beards are being cut off completely when a scarf is being applied,so this wont happen ?
Let’s give anet some ideas on what wvwers would spend gems on so the potential revenue increase creates an incentive for anet to give wvw more attention.
I’d go out and buy gems in a heartbeat for a programmable inventory manager. I want a little elf that sits in my bags and automatically:
1) salvages all my white, blue and green loot and sends the mats to my materials bank
2) uses all my luck so i don’t have to waste time clicking it. Seriously, why can’t luck just get auto-looted like gold or karma
3) opens loot bags
4) sells junk to merchantsI’d also drop cash for extra bag space used exclusively for siege that would be shared by all my characters.
A Lag Free pass for all bl’s.
A 5m placeholder whenever i Get Dc’d.

Pretty easy on warri if i run condi..Bow/sw/sh no real danger in soloing these,you can kite forever in there,might get tricky on melee though.
Pro tip for soloing keeps/bay/hills/garri if youre a squishy.Get a golem and jump out of it making sure you put it close enough to lords for it to get all aggro so you can spamm away your skills without even being targeted by the npc’s,making you atleast able to kill of all npcs fast enough then start on the champ without he even noticing youre there.
Npc’s pick the guy with the highest armor,an empty golem will still have more armor than you do.

putting it on par with ranger’s long bow would make more sense. cripple on every shot would be a tad ridiculous.

This makes me sad…F2p playes don’t give a kitten about the game nor its community.Weve been playing for 3 years now and i’d have to say it’s the best community ive experienced besides some trolls here and there.F2p players will make it a toxic place,botters will have free gain,there will be Much more hacking going because f2p players dont give a kitten if they’re banned..they’l create a new ip on a new account and keep on going.Besides having more goldsellers aswell…This is the worst thing for gw2 .But atleast more gemstore income right…

People are dropping out hard atm,eb getting less and less active with the day.Comm’s don’t wanna tag up,buddy’s ive been playing with for years barely logg on anymore…Fix this already anet..it’s so kitten demotivating to login and get hit by that lagwall straight away.
Lowering the cap again would be a temp fix untill they’re able to fix their servers or upgrde them which i highly doubt.I rather sit in a 45m queu then being unable to play the entire evening due to lag.

This isn’t a care bears cartoon, if someone is being an kitten you can ignore them or beat them and laugh at them. If you are really bothered by what some stupid little 13 year old says to you in a game you either need to grow some thicker skin or avoid the internet for the rest of your life.
I doubt this is about getting bothered by what some 13y old says.I think it’s more about the fact that this attitude is increasing amongst players,turning what used to be a proper community into something that’s worth vomiting on.
Kids will be kids i guess,had this guy last night in pvp that thought he was any good for constantly 3on1ing me and then jumping on me afterwards to boast about it,i complained about being constantly zerged an told him theres nothing to brag about so he could stop jumping.When the match ended i left,the guy started rage pming me out of nowhere with nonsense and telling me to enjoy my imbecile life.I was trying to ask what he was on about,but then he decided to block me.
I still hardly do pvp tbh,getting kinda bored of it all but whenever i do play i certainly notice this increase in toxicity.It just gives me the impression that i’m playing with a bunch of 14 y olds.

Do you have a second bios on that gpu ? If so,try switching to that,usually the second bios has throttling disabled and a higher clock.Atleast thats for me on my gtx970 FTW+,switching to the second bios solved some issues i had in Watch dogs.
Are you using SweetFx ? If so,remove all SweetFx files and relaunch the game again.If Gw2 succesfully launched,close the game and put all the SweetFx files back.You need to put d3d9.dll in the bin folder,all else in the main folder.Also start with using a fresh SweetFX_settings.txt.

If a thief pops on you with basi venom, and you don’t stunbreak and dodge fast enough, then that’s on you and your lack of skill. you need to l2p.
If the thief waits and pops basi venom on you when he knows you don’t have any stunbreaks left, then major props to the thief for out-playing you. nothing you can do about it.
I swears just about every profession, minus the necromancer, has skills that allows them to disengage from fights when they need to, removing stealth means to remove all those porting and leaping/movement skills that is used for the same purpose.
A majority of thief stealth lasts only 3-4 seconds, just about 80% of the time you can spot them going stealth before they engage on you and if you get ganked, then you deserved it. The other 20% of the time its a mix of the thief actually playing good and you just not being vigilant when you should be.
^That,pay close attention to thieves entering stealth when they see you,or if they’re dumb using venom before they enter stealth so you know for sure they’re gonna spike your kitten .Get ready to dodge,pop stabi Or an invuln with stunbreaker,better yet…take some distance so he has to travel further and use more initiative and maybe even gets revealed again.You want to make sure to make that first spike fail,if so they’re at around 50% init most likely and have to reengage again for their initial spike.
The amount of time skills not connecting to my target are infuriating.The random obstructs on bow/ sword offhand/mace offhand can be a killer. Rush deciding to take a turn and miss the target completely.Flurry having a huge delay on cast time ( make it instant for kittensake),earthshake jumping to random locations at times..Warrior can feel extremely clunky and buggy,when certain skills are needed to be hit the amount of times theyre not getting hit is getting on my nerves.Alot of skills need to have a polish.
If your 980 has a second bios try switching to that. I remember having some issues playing Watchdogs on my 970 FTw+ some months back.Then i started using the second bios which has a higher clockrate etc,and the crashes all seemed to stop,perf increase cus of the higher clock aswell obviously.
Burns in general don’t need a nerf,but on certain classes aka ele/guard,something needs to be changed.
Now, necroing since it’s an actual topic: it seems my ISP updated to IPv6 and since then I can’t access the the Trading Post.

Right after deleting this folder the TP was completely inaccessible, though I haven’t waited for 2h. I’ll check if the problem is resolved.
However, I read there’s a problem with the IPv4/IPv6 and TP. Anyone else a problem with it?
Have you tried logging in with /clientport 80 to see how the tp reacts ? Worth a shot perhaps.
Anet please make this top priority and put more resources into fixing this.People are dropping out,annoyed to the point theyre not logging anymore at all because of the constant lag going on,you’re losing people cus of your game being unplayable.
