The game is literally unplayable. My internet is working perfectly fine, and at very good speed. Guild Wars 2 is broken.

For you…I on the otherhand am playing fine,no lag,not in the morning,not in the afternoon,not in the evening,not at night.SO maybe there IS something wrong with either your pc,router,modem,connection,pc,ISP.Its easy to blame anet for all isnt it.Also ask yourself,if Guild wars 2 is “broken” explain why hundreds of people are currently playing with no problem and you aren’t ?

You’re a snarky little one, aren’t you? The reason is clear: it looks like kitten. This isn’t the nice “artsy” style (the vast majority of) the rest of the game offers. It looks just like a placeholder texture you might see in a pre-alpha demo that’s intended to show off some other aspect, and it’s that or flat gray.

Perhaps you wouldn’t be bothered by your own shoddy work and not understand why, but others might. While it’s nothing compared to the various important play-screwing bugs that exist, it IS something that could be easily, and I mean EASILY, improved tenfold. No reason not to smack ANet’s relevant dev around a bit for being sloppy/lazy.

So now your calling them sloppy and lazy for this ? Did you ever see any other textures in this game that look like this ? ( yes please go spend 5h looking for them to proof there is,please do ! ) No reason not to smack you for this.Theyve created a beautifull world,someone finds an ugly spot and suddenly anet is lazy and slobby.Maybe they have bigger things to work on then a piece of ugly ground texture that only people like you will get worked up about and blame anet for being lazy and slobby.

Champions respawning to full health in fight

It happens when you move to far away from where the boss originally spawns,it can be buggy though and think they should just increase the range of this on certain bosses.

This is exactly why I made the thread. xD

I can see both sides of the argument honestly, I think it’s not an offence, but since Anet has been banning accounts for exploiting an oversight in game design, well this one counts as well. As the snowflake thing could be damaging to the economy, this one might be damaging to server load, especially if everyone does it. Or allow people to AFK in WvW which would be very bad. So, that’s why I’m asking. I’d love a reply from Anet on this.

You do not need a response from anet,its common sense,if you are Not behind your keyboard playing the game,you should not be using skills at all,also not to prevent yourself for being kicked from being afk too long.It really isn’t that hard..but i think you just want to hear that its allowed anyway ? That won’t happen though.And the autocast skill is there for when youre in battle offcourse,also a no brainer.

The combat mode can be very annoying indeed,sometimes it takes a Huge amount of time to wear of for whatever reason, ( Long gone from any form of combat whatsoever,im no complete fool ). Plus i also think they might recheck the combat speed,its like going Slowmotion at times,its So painfully annoying slow,espec in wvwvw when people Not affected by combat speed yet are coming your way when having a 1vs1 for ex,there is No way to outrun them as a warrior speaking Due to combat speed (but but you can go full swiftness and get a warhorn and use this or that build) dont give me that bull,its unrelated to the actual combat speed affecting Everyone,and people shouldnt make n entire build to fight this..I honestly think the characters move fast/slow enough without this,its an unwanted feauture,we already have slows,cripples etc etc etc On top of the combat speed is just too much at times.

So you saw something like this,yet didnt make any shots or vids ? Tell me how do you know they are bots and not just a group of people on ts stacking together ? There is no reason for bots to be in wvwvw,there is nothing to gain for them instead of being even Easier to report by other people.The goldselling/farming bots do not go to wvwvw,im 100% sure of that since it would be an illogical thing to do when they can hang around in deserted places in the pve map and use the node teleporting.I do not know what youve seen,but i think you’re wrong and something like this needs to be shot or frapped before making such accusations.

Why do you,personally think they have implemented such a system to kick people when they are afk for a long time.. ? So people can find reasons to bypass this ? No its not oke,they implemented such a system so the server doesnt get hogged with loads of afk people when other people want to get in.Short story,if youre not about to play,just log out.

Wrong topic…Anyway,What do you mean the LFG website didn’t help you ? My bet is you didnt use it right.You should select the event (The Ruined City of Arah – Story mode ).If you make a proper lfg i’m sure you have a party in no times.

Lets all start complaining after they have implemented the patch and we have seen the results of it.You can speculate all you want,but it’s pretty useless imo.

But then it’s too late. The changes are already in (effectively killing other classes), and knowing Anet’s track-record, they won’t back out of it – once live. If we voice our concerns now, we might, just might have a chance not to see it go live. (I know what the odds are, that’s why I say might).

What we will say before they even implement the patch won’t change a thing imo.They will first implement it and afterwards they will review how it worked out and if it needs to be balanced again.Im also an avid hammer user and wouldnt be happy if they touched it,but still ill just wait andsee what they change before suggesting something.

Imagine all the random targetting going on,no,bad idea actually.

Its not for other people to see.. just for yourself.

Like when you are in a party and target something, other ppl not in your party do not see your target.

Having targets lets you track a person easier that you have picked out (theives and mesmers drop target when cloaked/make illusions already). It also lets you use hotkeys to retarget your target if you lose them somehow (instead of tabbing or clicking them again)

Ah allright,sorry i misunderstand you then,in that case i just think that whenever selecting the target ,the symbol above their heads should be different, + a diff colour perhaps to differ itself from the down symbol,since they look to much alike aswell.

A dreadfull idea..simply dreadfull. I lvoe the way how they say we want you to play the game your way but you are playing it a way we don’t like lol hypocrites. So many classes need BUFFS not nerfs..How the heck is nerfing aoe’s going to do anything than damage already gimped classes like necros for example and staff eles?

Plus not everyone plays W v W..I only do PVE yet I will be punished cos of aoe damage in w v w..nice job. Just remember ESO is coming up soon.. I would really think about what you do to alienate your players or else you are in great danger of being the next swtor…

What you mean is,people will stop playing the game and move on to another just because of them balancing skills an you wont feel Leet anymore ? Warriors are good in PvE, and from what I hear, average in WvW and pretty poor in PvP. Warriors survive with high armor and health, but that means absolutely dick when fighting mobs with insane damage. Damage avoidance/mitigation is far more important, and Warriors don’t come close to Thieves or Guardians in that department. Still think Warriors are OP now?

People dont realize it takes a Huge amount of skill to even be able to pull something like this off,people now start to think that Warriors need to be nerfed,because everyone can do this…well guess again though.Its just a good player,and tbh even if i could do this,i wouldnt bother,why would i waste so much time when i can breeze through with a full party.

Stopping gate repairs is nothing compared to the defenders being able to use AC’s or catapults behind the gate to stop rams. Whilst the enemy can do it too for towers where there is a gap through which you can see, allowing an offensive AC to take out interior AC’s, it is still not as significant as the defensive siege should be pre-setup. Allowing you to take out that offensive AC first.

I ask this then, enemy team of 30 approaches. Sets up with 3 rams. You have 5 defenders inside, but you cannot AoE through gates.

No catas, ac’s, trebs behind a gate then. How to you defend? Rams have enough HP that you would struggle to auto attack it down, and to do so you’re on the wall and vs that many will likely be instant killed by the aoe wall suppression.

Defenders need an advantage, you shouldn’t require numbers equal to theirs to defend. Thats kinda the point of towers/keeps.

And what can 5 defenders do vs 30 ? The 30 will also AOE through the gate once they realize the 5 are doing it to try and kill the ram,my guess is the 5 vs 30 do not have a chance no matter what.Their best change would be to put up siege in any case.Also for the mere sake of realism,the door is Solid.If we are unable to hit through walls ( as it should be ) ,we should also be unable to use skills through gates.Sending pets and illusions through them,also makes no sense whatsoever and only makes it harder for people to defend when outnumbered as opposed to what youre saying.

Aoe in wvw needs a BUFF to not a nerf, they should have never added the 5 target limit, ZERGING is already out of hand and theirs NOTHING to break a 50 – 100 man zerg except having more then the other zerg.

I fail to see how aoe in dungeons is gaming the system, the system is already easy and aoe already is pretty meh with a 5 target limit, they only need to buff single target damage weapons / skills a bit.

Or communicate,split up,flank,or portal bomb ? What do you mean Nothing….? Just because you havent tried everything,doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do against.Imo AOES are way to strong,Especially,in a zerg.

Massive Targeting Issues

I’m having targeting issues that I’ve noticed with my Ranger. She will randomly stop firing, pick a different target and start firing at them, loses current target (have to re-select them), and doesn’t always auto-fire. Sometimes have to hit the 1 button multiple times. It’ll fire 1 arrow at a time until it sticks.

Ranger specific issue is Poison Volley randomly picks a target and I’m lucky if it’s the one I’m currently shooting. Otherwise, it selects a new main target and fires at them.

Try to play with autotarget enabled,and Ctrl + Right click on your skill 1 so it repeats,also take a look at the other targetting settings to might help you.But you’re right though,i also most of the time,select wrong targets ( turrets,pets,illusions,etc,unintended.)

Also try not to click your mouse 2 in battle but rather hold it like..untill eternity,because it also selects targets.

I believe mounts should be possible, but it is, as everyone has said, annoying to an extent due to no real reason for them. So my idea would be to have them be Legendaries, maybe 1-2 for each race that would use a specific mini-pet in the Mystic Forge along with the usual Legendary formula. Horses for Humans, Griffins for Norn, Golem-Scooters for Asura, Plant-Horses for Sylvari, and Motorcycle-like machines for Chars. Or something like that. They’d be alternate Legendaries for anyone who’d prefer travel devices over weapons.

If not, gaining mounts for an in-game mini-game might also be plausible. Maybe they could even create a new series of achievements like that for Jump Puzzles, like specific places and Instances that you can use a mount in.

Motorcycles,scooters….See..please stop suggesting them before anet goes nuts and might actually implement this crap… :/ Who in their right minds would like see motorcycles and scooters in gw2 ??? wth…..

In sPvP, it can also do really well. Consider the 1200 range of Kill Shot, combined with surprise factor. You can burst a light or medium target down to 1/4 health, and follow it up with a cripple/immobilize and the rifle volley. Couple that with On My Mark for 10 stacks of vulnerability and the target really doesn’t know what hit him.

And it works out that way in almost every scenario. It turns a rifle warrior into an amazing roamer and effectively the only sniper in the game.

Check out this build called Run and Gun by a player called Taugrim. It’s dated September but still very relevant: http://taugrim.com/2012/05/30/gw2-run-and-gun-warrior-spec/

With regards to Liltaro’s comment, yes the rifle burst is easy to dodge, but playing a rifle warrior intelligently, you MUST learn how to gauge the target’s vigor bar, and only use the burst after it’s been used up.

Killshot is one of the easiest skills ingame to evade,who does not see someone kneel down,aiming his rifle at you…? Unless it’s your first day playing gw you will evade it in most occasions.

Kill Shot is only an opener if the target doesn’t know you’re aiming at him. Otherwise, in pure skirmish, 1v1 situations, it’s a finisher. Wait for the target to pop both dodge rolls and then use it. Cannot miss then.

Unless he has endurance refill and can roll one more time

I have played wvwvw before,i know what defending,and attacking is,and what effects it has and what can counter a ram besides aoe spamming ( arrow cart can do the job just fine )..Besides,yes there is reason to be on the walls..you can easily hit them a few times,back off,rinse repeat ( stability makes sure you wont be pushed off ),build arrowcarts that are able to hit sieges,get people together and rush out,there are countless of things to do instead the aoe spamming.Anyways this is not a discussion on how to attack or defend,its a suggestion to anet about skills being able to hit through a gate.So i now wish for them to look into it and make their own decisions,i urge them to.

And btw yes i agree with that if they changed the gates to a portcullis,it makes sense to be able to AOE through a gate.But our doors are still solid,so it does not make sense.And i dont think a portcullis would remove the problem i suggested,it woul only make it worse.

Imo,they should let us decide,make those stats into some sort of rune with all kinds of different combinations that We can put onto our pieces of armor,just like a type of rune.So they can bring in a wide variety of different types of stat combinations.
They could even make Minor – Major – Superior versions of it aswell.

Basically,remove the “bonus” stats from armor,make it into a type of rune,make every combination possible prec/power/vit , condi/healing/vit..whatever,in minor – major – superior versions,and let us earn/buy them so we have more freedom into what kind of stats we want on our armor.

I strongly disagree,we have cata’s,balistas,arrows to defend.People inside should go up the walls and defend from there,everybody stacking up on one side of the door,both aoe spamming the kitten out of it,does not make sense imo.Besides the doors are Solid,i would agree if it were a fence like gate but this is not the case.

Btw I also disagree with your last line,it is as of now Much easier to attack while being able to hit through a gate since people behind the gate are unable to do a proper repair when needed ( insta death if 10+ spam AOE behind the gate, 100b Through a gate. ),this is especially the case when defenders are outmanned and making it even easier to get through unless you have some magic spot for a siege that is unable to be hit.Ive been doing it myself,when defending or attacking,i am able to down +finish of a player standing behind the gate..this is not right imo.

So you’re saying AOE through the gate is the only reasonable way to kill off a ram ? That in itself,should be a thing to look in to,it should not be possible imo.I think people should be able to kill off sieges from proper positions,on a wall,or going outside the gate smack it a few times and go back in,putting up counter siege..AOE is surely not the only “reasonable” way of completing this task.In any case,i really urge anet to take a look into this,or maybe join in WvWvW and see the effects that it Can have on an already outmannend group of defenders.( It goes both ways )

Simple suggestion..removing the ability for people to AOE through a gate,or to send illusions,pets through a gate.Basically remove the ability for us to be able to hit through a gate with our skills,since imo it doesn’t make much sense to be able to do this plus it would perhaps stop the senseless aoe on gate spamming.

250 stacks are fine as they are

Incase he switches gear,and in the future decides he want to switch back to that particular dungeon armor/weapon since he still enough tokens anyway ! And why would it hurt you if tokens were able to be stacked to 500 – 750 ?

It’s easily abused,like you said if you have a kitten in your party that feels like jerking around and can make sure to waste 4 peoples time simply by looting the end chest and quickly leaving..didn’t happen to me yet still needs to be fixed so that when a leader leaves the leading position gets switched to player 2.

Shouldn’t be terribly difficult to implement. If I treb down a tower wall, I should get as much (more, really, but whatever) credit as some guy who stood outside doing nothing and then ran into the circle.

And no, the satisfaction of helping my team achieve victory is not a sufficient reward.

You realize there is usually resistance inside a tower ? So your argument about the guy in the red circle is probably flawed,and eventhough he may had not much to do atleast he came to take the tower and assist in backup incase there is any..

…Because way too many people are exploiting the stairs to have invulnerability when fighting the path 1 and 3 bosses. I have tried asking a group when joining if they will use the stairs exploit, but even in the groups who say “no” someone will run to the stairs and most of the group will follow.

This is extremely ironic considering all the topics we had after the snowflake bans, with a lot of whining about how people were afraid of being banned over anything. It appears that, in reality, players are not afraid of being banned even for using an exploit.

ArenaNet should ban the stair exploiters in order to finally make people understand their stance on exploits in GW2. I’ll wait until they do so to play in AC again, but at least I have a nice list of exploiter names to send ArenaNet when the banning begins.

No they should not ban people for this,simply because not everyone realizes this is called an exploit,some think its just an easier way of doing it.They do not gain anything in particular with it and do not get rich from doing so.anet should just fix the bug and move on.Not everyone needs to get banned,shove that banhammer somewhere please.

I have wondered about this, people seem to be doing this in WvW and basically downing anyone within range. But others here are saying it can’t be used to attack so how are they doing this in WvW and downing everyone within range?

Not true,you will not deal any damage at all,test it near dummies or mobs and go see for yourself.Its a simple cosmetic Only bug that needs to be fixed nonethless,but does no harm to anyone what soever and just looks pretty.did you see them downing people ? My guess No,stop believing those people that tell you they do,because their lying.

the gear system is ganked i think that if someone spends their time getting legendary weapons/armor the stats should be over the roof good otherwise one would feel that they wasted their time working for that piece.

No,you are not understanding that those are for Skins and Skins only.Why would they make a ( for some people unreachable weapon ) with insane Stats that none can compare too ? anet likes to keep this game balanced.

Guys, there is nothing wrong with portal bombing. It is the CULLING that you should be complaining about. Portal bombing is a legit tactic used a TON in higher tiers

Guess what you have to do? Just like any other tactic, learn to counter it!

And yes you can counter it.

I hate balista’s placed in unreachable areas within a tower/keep. The only way to reach some is by a well placed balista of your own or a treb, oh wait that would be countering it. Let’s just nerf that instead.

Fix downed state in PvP (including wvw)

So much fail in this post. This has been in the forums before and already discussed. Downed state is the core of the game combat mechanics and will stay in the game no matter what. You can cry and QQ as much you want, but downed state remains.

I would advise you to listen to RyuDragnier.9476 tips and use in your benefit instead of QQ, in other words, learn to play with some tactics. I used downed state so many times to kill more than one player but everything has it’s limits. You can’t solo 10 players unless they are really bad.

You can’t even kill 2 players on your own unless they don’t know how to play.. because they will INSTANTLY stop what they are doing and of course immediately revive their teammate. Nothing you can do about that. You can’t get kills unless you’re in a 50 man zerg in this game.

Not exactly true,i just killed 2 thiefs vs me alone,and was able to finish them aswell,one of them was trying to res the other in stealth but using a hammer i was able to stop him from doing so knocking him down,finished his friend and then him aswell.But that doesn’t mean that i don’t agree with this topic,i also think downing system has,especially in wvwvw no place.

But i must say in Pve it does work,especially in dungeons the downing system is great.

Yup, gotta love those rollbacks. Suddenly I just lost the tiny bit of motivation to play I still had left.

if you’re going to lose motivation over a tiny rollback (and it rarely happens), then it probably isn’t a game for you

\He is right..a rollback should not happen…it’s frustrating when you just did a dungeon got a nice item,and now it’s gone.Can’t you relate to that ?

ex,spending 2 hours in orr,got the last of the needed amount of tokens to get your item,you bought the item..Crash.Login again,bye tokens,bye item.Do orr again…this is fun ?

Newbie asking Advice on runes/sigils please

Your link doesn’t work for me,but the best advice i can give..personally,i would not copy other people’s build.I never do it,its not fun and its way better ( exp wise ) to test it all out for yourself,change of traits,weapons,skills,utils.As for runes..i’d have to say Rune of the pack is one of my fav.Power,prec,buffs to allies,increased swift.As for the sigil,just take a look at the list and add what you think will be the most suitable.

Also,test in the spvp training area for free sigils,free weapons and free runes to test with so you dont have to waste any money on testing at all

Warriors and Protection

Think someone got mad because he wasn’t able to kill a warr and saw that he got protection on him and now think’s that’s the reason that he wasn’t able to kill him.Btw,look at the cd of protecton,and look how many times it will or will not pop…

Btw,this statement.." Leave Protection to professions that deserve it."

I can say the same about Gs should only be used for warriors,and rangers shouldn’t be able to use axes.Also,remove longbows and rifles from warriors,im unable to kite them !..something like that.
