so i am sure that you talked to all your SEA crew that they have to play during their prime time and DB coordinated it and it has nothing to do with them just being on at those hours?

Anyone notice that the only ones who talk about individual guilds in the forums are Mags PvF champs?
If they played the game enough, they’ll soon realize that no one guild has the ability to change the course of the match. It’s the collective contribution that matters.

Ok then? My guild transferred from YB to Mag well over 3 months ago, and we’ve never looked back. The one thing that can be said about Mag, if nothing else, is that we have a great community.
Our volatility could probably be attributed most strongly to the bipolar nature of our pugs and randoms. We drop down and all of a sudden the randoms want to karma train through EB and the BLs. Then we go back up to Tier 3 and they disappear because none of them put in the effort to learn WvW strategy and gameplay.
Pretty sure the entire purpose of that thread was to convince people to not transfer to Maguuma so they wouldn’t ruin the community and force Mag up to a tier it didn’t belong in. So, I guess it’s negative if you’re not adept at sarcasm. Maybe you’re not? I don’t know.
You didn’t see the posts, else you wouldn’t have written the last paragraph. There’s irony in there. I do agree with everything else you’ve said. Cheers!

I guess we’ll find out here soon. There’s such an obvious and huge coverage/population gap between us (DB) and TC/FA that I just can’t see us staying in T2 for longer than a week. Most likely DB and Kaineng will be flip-flopping T2/T3 for awhile
This is probably going to be the case. I don’t think DB has improved enough over the past month to get beyond 3rd place in T2, but I may be wrong.
No, we haven’t – a third place looks most likely whenever we move to T2. We’ll just try to not get completely dominated like previous times. I’ll just be happy to be in another tier, since Mags are my least favorite opponents.

Why do you after pay money to craft upto 400? I levelled all 8 crafts to 400 for ‘free’ by just playing the game and collecting mats by playing, if you have 2 characters already haven’t you already got a pile of mats stored up in your collectables?
No. You spent your valuable time in collecting those mats, which you could have been spending elsewhere, for instance farming something more profitable.
Also, it’s not free since you lose the opportunity to sell your materials for profit.
I think he enjoyed himself while he gained those mats. For people who don’t enjoy farming, that is essentially “free”, irrespective of the opportunity cost.
What you say is accurate economically, especially when you have a goal (like a legendary) in mind, but for some casual players who don’t need to worry about “Gold per minute”, it may not apply.

30 Gold. Do what you like… buy a new weapon skin, get some good armor. If you want to make more money, invest. Otherwise, give it to me

And to be fair, you had 6-7 arrow carts abusing “Leg Specialist” trait off warriors.
Other then that great job using broken mechanics. ;OFun fights at South camp too, 35+ BP vs 90+(using siege lol) we haven’t had a enemy server zerg fight for awhile, we were having great laughs on how many yaks does it take to wipe a BP raid, answer whole server.

I have no idea about the queue system, but I’ve had outmanned buff all night. Guildmates on other maps have reported the same.

If you go to the EB jumping puzzles, you’ll find a lot of enemy folks waving at you, while they try to finish the puzzle. 9 out of 10 times, they let you do your stuff when you wave back. 1 in 10 times, I come across a blood-thirsty group that just wants to kill. That is okay too, to each his own

pro-tip for Mags PvF champs: Stop complaining and enjoy the game. Learn from Yak’s.
We like our server. We like our Asian presence, and we don’t mind being outmanned during NA prime hours. We struggle, but we fight, and enjoy it while we do.

This was around 7ish? to roughly 10:30(I logged off at 10:30), I personally did not see any DB with outmanned, and watched as you guys wiped Yaks at WK, until they took it a bit later.
If you are getting outmanned during NA Prime Time, don’t blame it on numbers, but the guilds that only come in for a bit at a time, their so called, ‘Raid Times’. That’s DB’s NA problem, not numbers, but time spent WvWing. I’ve seen DB fill EB & DB BL up to the max easily, and still be attacking another BL. Then on the flip side during NA Prime time, I see your numbers vanish for a bit, because ‘raid time’ is over.
How is it not numbers if we’re getting outmanned? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard. Whether or not it’s from guilds moving in or out, or pugs moving in or out, or people doing the JP’s, the outmanned buff says one thing … you don’t have enough people!
Also, it’s not like the guild raid time factor you guys are talking about is in any way a fact. It’s a nice theory, but it doesn’t mean it’s true. So far, I’m thinking you guys are just fond of making stuff up to suit your needs instead of looking at things objectively.

so i’ll do a TL:DR version. TG & BP both yield huge numbers, they raid for set times then rest. That’s your problem, not numbers. When they are in DB, they have a huge group 50+. You want those numbers on during Prime time? Yell at them to stay on longer then an hour.

You know so much about my guild (BP), than I do, dear sir. When we raid (which is at least 4 times a week), it’s at least for 3 hours and usually stretches beyond 5 hours. A few of us are always in WvW, irrespective of official raids. And oh, we do drunken raids on Friday night, which I didn’t count above.
We do unofficial raids too. Last night, there were about 12 of us that ran in the night, constantly outmanned. Not complaining, since being outmanned is great in terms of fun and learning. Just saying. We ran until 2AM in the night (EST), until everyone went to sleep, after which I roamed solo was an hour, dying more than killing

The video posted was called “NNK PvDoor” and was a sped-up video of them attacking nothing but gates for 6 minutes. It didn’t answer the “why,” it only showed us what was already questioned.
And Eva’s answer doesn’t really count since she left the server because she couldn’t find other people to play with when she was online. Surely if she played with these folks, she’d have a lot of friends.

edit: so I guess we’re left with the NA chest-thumper answer about why their friends stick around. One out of four is not great.
NNK and TFV stay because they have developed a bond and trust with the existing NA guilds and players on this server. They know who they are getting their points for when they fight during their time. We have fought together for a long time, we aren’t just strangers on the same server. In fact, alot of my guild are members of NNK just like EA has some TFV members. If they leave they would know no one on these new servers like moving to a new country. They stay because this is their home. They have been here for so long no where else would be the same. Can you understand that?
I’m pretty sure they have been offered and bribed everything under the sun but still have not moved off. They demonstrate unwavering loyalty to Dragonbrand which is more than can be said for alot of guilds and people on other servers. This is what makes Dragonbrand an amazing server.

Just to bring closure, especially as a wake-up call for those who “already know the answer”, here’s a conversation posted on that video:
Random T1/T2 recruiter: You guys should? switch servers. Doesn’t seem fun doing that.
Response: “We can’t leave our NA? time zone mate, We all understand how hard to defend for our serve in that time. Switch servers easy, but we’ll lose more trust and glory. Come to join us, we’ll not leave everybody behind”
Second random T1/T2 recruiter: “You guys would only lose some trust, you have absolutely no glory, respect or honor doing that, and it’s a complete insult. Come to tier 1 or 2, we have? some nice competition for you guys.”
Response: “If we? going to T2? or T1,? It must be with our server Dragonbrand.”
Want more examples? Look at this thread. We have people from all over the DB server jumping in defense of our NNK/TFV friends. Then look at the exchanges you Mags have been having with another ex-Mag, and another Mag PvF champ who jumps servers every few weeks.
You’ll hopefully see why DB community is united and thriving.
