I just keep hoping they’ll put in some change that will make leather worth more than vendor price. Every time a patch is coming, I buy a few more stacks of leather, hoping that it’ll one day have some value. My bank is getting sad.
Well, we have a couple flower backpieces, and the toxic spore, those are pretty Sylvari-y.
Nothing that really fits Charr or Norn, though, unless you count the plushy charr backpacks.
You mean something like a 15 minute event timer, after which they’d kill everyone nearby and leave?
And the problem is that they have big blind spots. Shatterer specifically, you can just stand next to him and he just attacks in front of himself, never putting anyone in danger.
Presumably because it’s level 0 with an upgrade slot, so it can be used when farming black lion keys by rushing through the first 10 levels of personal story. Small stat bonuses on gear matter a lot at low levels.
I must say, I do miss the old, hyper-aggressive minion AI. I could just afk near hearts and he’d run around, destroying every pile of Ogre Supplies in the outpost, bravely rushing to defend embattled Seraph, and just generally having his own merry adventures in my general vicinity. Sometimes me and a buddy necro would just summon our Flesh golems and stand around to watch what exciting adventures they’d go on today.
Good times. Goooood times.
They’ve said in the past that race changes will never happen, due to the personal story actually being fairly important to the game.
Don’t you guys understand? This is a MMO, where happiness is a zero sum. If you give someone something, you’re technically taking it away from everyone else. Make it easier for people to get and use skins? You’re taking my skins away from me. Someone gets a fossil in a buried chest? That fossil should have been mine!
Scarlet diverting a ley line from the ley line hub in Lion’s Arch to go straight to Mordremoth….
When we investigated the Breachmaker control panels, it specifically said that it wasn’t diverting a leyline, but disrupting it.
So this was more akin to yanking off Mordremoth’s blanket in order to wake him up, instead of shoving extra food into his face.
I just miss the early Charr stories, where I was addressed as Legionnaire. It seemed most fitting. All the other titles felt awkward and forced (Savant, Slayer, they all felt really awkward.) But the military titles felt like they fit well. I’m hoping we get back to active duty with the Pact soon, so I can have my proper rank and title back.
You’ve gotten two of the unique rare drops. Stop whining. I’ve opened about 20, and gotten 20 champ bags full of greens, a handful of geodes, and some sand.
It happened while we weren’t there. We heard reports of it happening, which we wouldn’t have heard if we were there to see.
Don’t worry, though, I’m sure we’ll get caught up in a groundsplosion of thorny tentacle vines in the next release or two.
Wow, the goliath beetle in the shield is almost as big as they are in real life.
I’m not sure what sort of theme to pair these with, but I love that they’re craftable.
He’s waking up, but he hasn’t caused anything yet. Kralkatorric created the Dragonbrand when he flew across Ascalon to the Crystal Desert, rather than just from waking up. It can be assumed that Zhaitan had to actually do something to raise Orr, even if that something was just as thoughtless as tossing off a blanket when he woke. Mordremoth is just now waking up, so he hasn’t really tossed off his blanket yet. But when he does, it’ll probably be really bad for everyone.
If it does come back, it’ll probably be in 5 months, during the Halloween event.
So, play PvP in order to unlock fractal content you don’t know how to do?
I really can’t help but feel that most people hate Siphoned Power just because they don’t read it correctly. I don’t really feel that it should be a GM trait, but it’s certainly not the worst trait in the game. Maybe it should be a Master level trait.
It’s reactive as all hell, but it can be pretty neat, to get knocked down to 20%, pop into DS, and then see might stacks start spraying all over you.
When underwater, Unyielding Blast causes Life Blast to apply 2 stacks of vulnerability to your target and to yourself. Since Life Blast transfers conditions underwater, this result in a permanent 2 stacks on yourself, and 4 stacks per hit to enemies.
Anything could be true for the origins of the elder dragons. There is still very little known about the elder dragons at the end of the personal story. It’s quite possible that the dragons are trying to hide their history as it would diminish their god-like status. We even see Zaitan trying to destroy some dwarven records in the personal story.
I doubt they really care about their “god-like status”. They’re more akin to a force of nature, rather than a sapient being with an ego. Maybe their servants care about that, but the dragons themselves likely don’t. We really don’t know how smart the dragons themselves are, actually, versus how smart their servants are. I actually assume the dragons aren’t actually terribly smart, or interested in doing much beyond finding a place they like that fits their aspect, and then just slowly expanding from there. Hence why Zhaitan just sits in Orr, and his servants plague the world. Same with Jormag and Kralk and Bubbles.
I just got an Ettinband, an ascended ring, from a pvp track reward bag. Does anyone know what other sort of ascended items can drop from these?
Probably people buying it for the flavor. I shelled out the extra gold to get the Bone Fragment of Tequatl because it’s cooler than the karma trinkets.
The Crossing was around for both Halloween events. I see no reason to think it won’t be craftable during the next one.
Hell, it’s craftable now, it’s just hard to do.
2215 on a crit.
The 100 dyes will cost you less than half of what it cost pre-patch, at least right now, since dyes lost so much value.
The only difference is that it uses a higher crafting material, and gives crafting experience at a higher level.
It’s strictly there as a convenience to level crafting if you happen to have the materials on hand.
Pretty soon the only ones that will be left playing this game are people like me with nothing better to do and can’t afford a subbed game, pure casuals and the fanbois.
Only people who enjoy playing the game will be playing it? That’s awful!
Sorry, but, I don’t enjoy the game in the sense you may mean, I play it just to have something to do other than play Solitair/Mahjongg and the ONLY things I do are my dailies/crafting and world bosses to sell the rares for the coinage, then it’s back to Solitair and Mahjongg.
I’m having trouble discerning your priorities. If this game is so boring to you and such an apocalyptic waste of your time (and from the sound of it has been for quote a while), then why exactly are you still here?
I mean, I occasionally do enjoy me a good game of solitaire, but normally I log onto Guild Wars because, well, I want to play Guild Wars. Maybe I’m alone, but…
So please, tell me. Humor me. Yes, we all know what the perceived problems are, but what are the solutions? If the game is so stale and repetitive with “nothing to do” (Anet tried Living World, but then people complained that new content was too frequent), then what exactly should they implement?
Someone tell me. Anyone at all.
They need new content at least once every two weeks, but no more than once every month. It all needs to stay around permanently, but it can’t get old or stale over time. They need to redo all the current content, but not waste time on stuff we already have and instead work on new content.
Am I missing anything?

So…why save up the gold? Does it help you with Solitaire?
I hate encountering other players out in the world. They steal all my nodes and tag all my mobs.

I didn’t have any of the special town clothes, but just had the default starter set and the GW2 launch hat. Did these get removed?
Are any of these actually good in PvE? I guess Dual Weilding can be alright, but the rest seem like garbage. Am I grossly misunderstanding how these work?
Something I’ve noticed is that our Minor Traits tend to be just some random extra thing that is nice to have, but ultimately something no one cares about. Aside from the Curses minors, and Last Gasp, I don’t think I’d actually care at all if any build I had lost all its minor traits. They’re all little things that are hard to notice, and rarely make any diffference, and I never feel like I want to put points into a tree specifically for them.
Other classes, particularly Mesmers, Rangers, Engineers, and Warriors, have a lot of minor traits that look interesting, and are something I specifically try to fit into a build.
This is not to say that they don’t have useless minors, it just seems to me that I actually care about my minor traits when I play those classes. If I’m not specced into Curses, I really couldn’t care less about any of my minor traits.
It’s reflecting back a Neccromancer’s Dark Path. Normally it teleports them to you when it hits you, but if you reflect it back, you get to teleport to them.
