Anet can and does regularly manipulate the game’s economy. People that believe everything is left up to chance are living in fantasyland.

Odd anyone would think that the mystic toilet needed a nerf. The concept of being able to get too much from it is totally laughable.

People already get kicked if they’re AFK too long.

This capping thing doesn’t make sense. Someone told me I can only do 2 tracks per day but that isn’t true because I completed 6 tracks of one reward and 2 of another and 2 of a third. Then it stopped, so what is the real cap here?

It wasn’t an exploit, but the convenience for resource farmers is most definitely gone.

What exactly are you asking for? That all new characters on an account instantly have all their maps done if one character on the account has completed them? This is never going to happen. One of the reasons we make alts is to play the content again with a different character. If all the content is already complete right out of the intro, where is the motivation to alt at all?

My town outfits don’t cost me anything.

I know why they do it, but I hate it, anyway. It’s a waste of resources to discover recipes that I previously had. I spent a lot to discover the Southsun recipes for jeweler and it’s ridiculous to have those deleted. There’s a better way to handle it.

I seriously doubt they will ever charge us to dye our armor.

So, will the opened dyes sell for more in the future, too, or will those prices always be low like now and unidentifieds the only ones that rise in price to 1g or whatever?

Well, it’s been fun buying dyes on the TP for 40 copper a piece.

You’re out of your mind. I just got the glory chalice and can’t use it, either. Ignorance has nothing to do with it.

I just bought the 50% off upgrade to the game and my Chalice of Glory doesn’t work. Since I paid money for this, I’d like to know what’s going on.

Yeah, having events that only works with 150+ people minimum kind of breaks the whole concept of scaling in the first place.

People wouldn’t resort to the mind-numbing boredom of the champ train and park their 80s in a zone meant for low-levels if they didn’t feel that loot and in-game money was so hard to acquire through normal gameplay.

Most players believe the megaserver to be a bad idea. Server merges would have worked far better with the design of current events and bosses. The idea that Anet needed to work around and disguise the low populations on many worlds is ridiculous. Everyone that plays MMOs knows that server merges are standard.

Since the new boss schedule means most players won’t be able to do most bosses, I doubt this will be a good thing.

Or they could add new ascended crafting components that are specific to cooking.

There was really no reason for dyes to be removed as mob drops. They didn’t drop all that often and wouldn’t have adversely affected the economy, anyway.

There is no reason for waypoints to ever be contested. It’s a useless mechanic and should simply be removed. Same thing for closed dungeon entrances. They should all be open all the time.

I don’t honestly think this will ever happen or they would have done it by now.

They will be fixing the huge mess that their new mega-server system will be causing and scrambling to deal with all the disgruntled players leaving.

Since there are several achievements that seem ridiculous, like the thirst slayer achievement, one has to assume that these were purposely placed in the game for one of two reasons:

1. For OCD players that will grind this out whilst spending 10, 000 purchased gems a day on various things.

2. To make a point to players that you will never finish all the achieves in the game no matter how hard you try.

Either way, WAI.

Most everyone has trashed theirs already, so it would just make everyone mad if they changed them all to glory consumables or karma consumables or whatever else.

Making this change in the name of the leaderboard makes no sense. Like new players that missed all of the LS achievements are ever going to catch up, anyway. Sounds more like an excuse than a reason to me.

If you played this game simply because of daily achievements, then I doubt GW2 is for you.

Just because someone else’s playstyle is different than yours doesn’t mean it isn’t valid. The whole world shouldn’t have to look just like you, eat the same foods you do, or like the same activities you do, etc.

Slippery slope fallacy says that restraint is possible. The question isn’t whether or not something is possible but whether or not it is likely from past experience.

Plenty of players have weapon master and slayer done not to mention the AP from the mini-games.

Watching everyone fighting in nothing but underwear would do more to harm my immersion as an RPer than what we have now. Contrary to what a lot of uneducated people think, no one goes to battle in underwear.

I wish GW2 had artifacts to find and collect like RIFT does. If they added this, it would make exploration more enjoyable and give a point to it once you’ve finished your maps.

The reason seems to be the leaderboards. Some people are really focused on them and think they can’t get ahead if there are monthlies and dailies.

How do we know that this AP cap won’t eventually be translated to other caps to “equalize” us all? There could be a cap someday on dungeon chests or champ bags, etc. You can earn x number of dungeon chests then no matter how many dungeons you run in the future you won’t get a chest because you’ve reached the cap. To help keep all players at an even number of gold or some such idiocy. I really don’t see how caps on rewards and activities is a good idea in a game.

Competition on the boards is going to be nigh impossible for those players that have most everything done and now cannot even use dailies to compete. Like I said, does nothing for hunters with a lot of the game’s achieves done.

I’m sorry, but if players don’t enjoy the dailies now, why are they doing them and why should someone that enjoys doing them receive less rewards?

I’m a crafter but since my 2 crafts (jeweler and cook) are the only crafts that won’t be upgraded, ascended is useless unless they allow for selling it.

I hope you weren’t one of those people that bought up dyes recently. They’re all going to lose their shirt after the update.

No, of course not. This game won’t be around long enough but the point is the same. Getting points (a few each day) is not unreasonable.

Players don’t live an infinite number of days and months…

Bad comparison since they are not even remotely the same thing. Like comparing apples and chipmunks.

Daily and monthly achievement points are not infinite. There are a finite number of days and months.

This does nothing for AP hunters. Those players with nearly every achievement already done will have almost nothing to work with to earn their AP chest rewards.

If they wanted to make a change, they could have gotten rid of the AP leaderboards that is driving this stupidity.

Trying to make people that have been playing since launch be on the exact same level as someone starting the game today is complete madness. Normally, you don’t punish your original players.

The point is that you don’t have their point of view.
