Are there two different complaints going on here now? Please use the in-game report function if there is some actual harassment going on and then block. The best thing that can be done is to explain how to report and block rather than get into a chat argument on someone else’s behalf. All you are teaching that person is how to throw fuel on the fire rather than empowering them with the in-game tools available.

I did however, post a solution.
I don’t think they should allow private “invite only” squads in wvw. Granted that does penalize guilds who want to do GvG activities, but I think they should already have their own game mode at this point since its called “Guild Wars.” Either way, I don’t think wvw should allow private tags, or the ability to kick people who want to join it.
I said a practical solution. Your solution requires ArenaNet, which isn’t necessarily going to spend development time trying to implement a technological solution to a community problem. My solution doesn’t because it is implemented by the community. Either way, it doesn’t sound like the OP is interested and has over-rationalized reasons against – even to the point of not reporting alleged harassment in-game – which puts the onus completely back on the OP.

I already said why. Because this is so clearly a social issue, not a technological one. Empathy and understanding do not arise from forcing others to open their squads who don’t want to for whatever reason. My offer to help the OP raise funds for a server transfer arises from empathy and understanding. Sorry you are unable to comprehend what you are trying to preach.
This is akin to saying if you don’t like people in your country treating you poorly, you should just move to another one, and “trust us” its much better over there. That seems more like troll to me.
I’m just really surprised so many people come out of the woodwork to commend this type of behavior, on an issue of discrimination towards handicapped people, which overall is baffling and frankly gross, and yet at the same time, completely proves, showcases and justifies the OP point.
Well, aside from the fact that in real life refugees do exist, the poster admitted themselves that it happens even in other situations not related to being deaf or over TS. Stop saying this is an issue regarding discrimination of a disability. I don’t see you offering a practical solution to help the poster transfer servers to a better social environment and the poster should be using the report function.

This isn’t about being deaf or TS. I have several reasons for being unable to join via TS; however, this behavior has cropped up in other situations where TS was not mandatory but exclusionary practices were still engaged in by cmdrs w/ the power/money/power to exclude or boot people for no reason except they were being mean/bullying players for any number of egregious reasons, all of which I could have reported but chose not to – I chose instead to voice my concerns via TC and here as I find that more effective for people to self-police if they have it in their power to be nice. (And yes, I do have screenshots and audio records, but so what?).
OK so then there really is more to this than only being excluded from a squad due to a TS requirement which again sounds like social issue.
Please use the report function if there is more going on. You have no standing with regards to ArenaNet actions if you have not done your due diligence. Just because WvW population is low is not an excuse.

Switching servers absolutely is an effective answer to this problem. As others have said, this sounds like a social issue rather than a technology issue for devs to solve and I suspect that you have acquired a certain kind of reputation on your current server that can only be gotten rid of by a fresh start somewhere else.
Find a deaf-friendly WvW guild on another server that doesn’t require you to be on TS. You can always find players and guilds willing to help with transfer costs and I bet we could even start up a collection as a WvW community to help you with that cost, assuming you are able to find a server/guild willing to take you in.

I’ll go with “fell under the radar” since the knockback was on a minor trait in a traitline used by both condi and power PvE raid builds and part of the CC chain for raid boss breakbars.
turrets were a lazy way of blasting enemies away.
The only thing turrets were good for was the knockback.
Haven’t had the chance to do it yet, but wouldn’t Gliding actually enhance Windfall? Because now with gliding it is easier to get above the opponent for Windfalling. Windfall was too situational requiring you to have to wait or bait the opponent before into a spot along a cliff.
Apparently this is also happening when you go to the vista at hills/east keep on blue borderland.
Can we get backpay on our tickets or something. I was at 5/6 diamond when the update hit. So i had earned 140 tickets, completed the 6th rank for 20 for a total of 160 on the week. This is less then I would have earned before the ticket increase and less than half what is possible to be earned in the week.

I think what is meant is that there is a cap, but the cap has increased to 365 tickets per week, and the diamond chest gives +14 repeatable until you reach the cap.
Or at least that is what the wiki is saying
So if that’s the case hopefully it stays that way so those who already got all their skirmish chests have a chance of reaching the new cap this match.
An opacity slider would be awesome. The lines are a bit too thick than is necessary it seems. May have something to do with not scaling to zoom level.
You can disable them in your options.
no more Ticket cap , i just got 14 tickets on the first Diamond Chest after finishing diamond tier.
This is unintended. There is supposed to be a weekly ticket cap and we will be fixing this.
While you are at it, can you also credit those of us who already got most of the skirmish chests for the week (but haven’t hit diamond yet) with the ticket difference from the new increase per tier?
I’m really confused by this post. Even if a running toon doesn’t have swiftness, it doesn’t look like a “waddle”.
Please check that you haven’t assigned a key map for “Walk” and accidentally used it.
This doesn’t make any sense to me. Why does the stat allocation matter when the item states, “Transmute: Ardent Glorious Plate Helm”, for instance. This seems like a flawed thinking in how you’re pushing our legendary armor to WvW/PvPers. And if you already knew this to be the case then what’s the thought process on reacquiring the same gear we’ve already had?
The item listed after “Transmuted” is considered the original item. If your “Transmuted” item says “Ardent Glorious Plate Helm” it means you only changed the skin on the item, not reforged it in the Mystic Forge and it will be upgradable. When you reforge the stats in the MF, that item name changes to like “Transmuted: Yassith’s Breastplate” and that would not be upgradable.
The same thing happens with the ascended weapons that came with HoT specializations. I reforged Yldalir and now it says “Transmuted: Yassith’s Greatbow” and the skin is Arbiter Greatbow so I technically don’t have a Yldalir item anymore on my account.

If you actually look up some of the videos of this, it was entire servers in 3-way collusion doing this, and Anet saying it was fine.

How about I get to play Anet developer for a day, and I end the megaserver, and from now on if you are on a different server I can kill you in Queensdale, in Orr, in Auric Basin, etc., as I could in the PvP or WvW environment. So, like, you might be rallying to fight Balthazar or some unchained champion in Siren’s Landing or whatever, and my guildies and I come along and kill you. I mean, you have the choice to also run with guildies for protection, or to avoid us, and ignore us…move servers, jump to a different map, etc. You are full of options! The other elements of your game (champions, events, etc.) are still there, I took nothing away from you. Are you happy with this change?
If the answer is “yes,” for whatever reason, then we are speaking the same language…we just have different worldviews.
How does this support your assertion that gliding is going to ruin WvW? It sounds the opposite if what you are saying: that you would enjoy PvP inside PvE maps with even more so-called PvE stuffs. This just goes to my point that all those “PvE” things allow PvP players to utilize the terrain for setting up tactics. Gliding is really no different.
Real PvP problems arise when there is a lack of opponents and balance. If gliding is not balanced for PvP, that will be the issue with it. You can see the care being given to balance by the change to ballista skills and also that hard CC will provide a counter.

Your argument so far is that gliding is “PvE” but you haven’t been able to define exactly how it qualifies as PvE. You ignored my ArcheAge example where PvP and gliding co-exist already. Gliding is a movement skill and nothing more. You don’t need gliding to perform exploration in a PvE map. You haven’t addressed either the concept of gliding as another form of utilizing terrain for setting up a tactical play from earlier posts by myself and others. I think you believe PvP is performed on a flat play area and that terrain doesn’t matter. That’s not WvW.
Also, golems are one tool used in WvW to generate fights in and around objectives, as per a “PPT for fights” strategy. The old epic three-way fights in SMC or a good ol’ garrison lord’s room bash would not have been possible without such tools. If you are looking for PvP without the need to utilize such a strategy, WvW may not be for you. You could try sPvP or guild hall GvGs.
Ya i head that from some one else gliding is pve i realty do not understand that point of view. Its like saying moving or jumping is pve even though they are used during pvp. So its very confusing. Its all different types of movement there more to pvp then running into the other team spamming skills till the other team is dead.
And the other movement skills in this game also have counters for balance from a PvP aspect. You can apply several different types of conditions to affect running/walking along the ground such as chill and immobilize. Dodges with evade frames are limited by endurance. Gliding will be counterable by hard CC, territory control, and the new ballista shot.

Dear anet can you please stop kittening up wvw. People like it just the way it is right now. When you guys look back at the release of the desert bl map. Was that a great succes? No. But u guys kittened up wvw then and this will be the same. Stop putting pve crap into wvw. We the hardcore wvw players dont play pve. So please stop messing up our content. I know for a fact that lost of players will be leaving the game because of these things. They only game back when its back to normaal.
Gliding for wvw is actually going to be super fun, I don’t know how gliding offends you so much, and if someone is running away from you in your territory, they wont exactly be able to glide off, so youll probably have a better chance at catching them than before. Stop crying about something that hasnt even happened yet. xoxo

No, I read. I honestly believe that people that go into a WvW map and want to explore it, and glide in it 1) don’t have enough to do in WvW, 2) should get their exploration and pointless mechanic fix in PvE, and 3) should not be driving content in a game mode they clearly don’t understand or appreciate. It’s been true since launch, WvW players feel ignored by Anet, but then any time Anet pays attention this kind of stuff happens…golem rush week, deployable canons, dragon banners. PvE content will never be a plus for someone that really plays WvW.
Actually, I think you’re the one out of touch. You’re trying to make an argument about gliding somehow not belonging in a PvP setting (“it is PvE crap”) without being really convincing. There’s nothing in the flying mechanic itself that is incompatible with PvP. Gliding offers another way of utilizing terrain to set up tactics. It is really odd a veteran WvW player can’t see that. Explain ArcheAge flying PvP battles please.

I don’t quite see what justifies this difference between the game modes if the rewards are the same.
I guess I don’t understand why you can’t tell what the differences are between the game modes.
Imagine you could kill a raid boss, then get a friend to open a new instance and kill a raid boss again and so on and so on for more LI, as if there were no limit. You could totally cheese getting more LI just from getting friends outside your raid group to help you open new instances.
Kill-trading and stacking-for-wins in WvW is a bit like that. It is an “always on” mode, not instanced, easily cheesed, and why in one game mode you can “reward for mastering content/winning” while in the other you cannot. No haterino please.
BTW, I finished my first raid set just this week.

Does anyone else find it incredibly hilarious that pvers were crying that the new wvw reward ascended was way too hard to acquire and are now crying that it’s all too easy?

Back then, at least they didn’t reward failure like they do today.
Yea and? Back then players complained that there were no rewards for WvW; a silly extra chest for winning? Reward was higher playing PvE than WvW and so lots of players quit WvW. Now Anet found a way to provide better rewards in WvW without encouraging exploits like kill trading and further badwagon stacking. Figures someone will still complain about it.
So you wanted Legendary armor to be the hardest thing to get in your game and now you are giving it away almost for free for PVP which doesnt, I mean doesnt ever need a stat swap change. PvP shouldnt be played for rewards but for fun and now people will just grind again, which ofc will bring more cancer. Thanks anet for all of that wasted time in raids learning bosses and countles wipes + waiting like a year for you to make that armor anyway. So in the future I shouldnt be doing anything, just wait like a year and I will get it easier.
The idea that this is easier is ridiculous. PvP and WvW don’t get the legendary armor skin. And to get the precursor armor in WvW requires time grinding for WvW rank. We don’t know the details yet on the rest of the gifts needed but I can bet you it will be tied to more tickets which requires again more time.

Well no one has asked about it yet, but I’m going to guess that the new War Gliding Mastery is going to also include unlocks for some sort of skills you can use while gliding like in Bloodstone Fen.
I assume it’ll unlock normal gliding stuff like lean techniques, etc.

Are you lagging? I got video recently of using Rocket Charge with no enemy selected and going 180 with it during a ping spike.
1. Can you build up Heat with all skills (like kits and P/P skills?) or just Holo Skills and Utilities? If the latter that may limit viable builds, rotations, and playstyle a great deal.
1. “Heat gain %” is shown only in the tooltips for the Photon Forge weapon skills. I think only PF skills build heat.
I guess I don’t understand that sentiment. Original Engineer style was straight out of a Charr warband and that continued with Scrapper. Why not have different racial flavors with new specs?
I don’t recommend ever boosting a class to 80 that you still need to learn how to play. Leveling it the normal way is very helpful towards learning the class.
