I am of the opposite opinion. I used a healing bomb build for months. I have found that FT is much better for leading.
When you are driving you are not the AoE DPS-er. Leave that to your necros and eles. Your sole role is to be tanky and stay up in a fight, in the middle of melee sometimes. Build for that. Bombs will not really help you stay up in a fight. Bombs have that annoying detonation delay. There is NOTHING comparable to FT #5 insta-cast blind.

No, I am on IoJ with SIC for a little less than 3 weeks now. NERF though is still primarily FA. I get to hear from my guys all about the T1 blobs. As for queue vs. 15 for weeks, I really wouldn’t know about that. SIC runs in a group of 15 or less.

A good trolling in-game can be friendly rivalry. Being outright kitten is poor sportsmanship.
I’d say corpse-hopping and then bragging about it on the forums categorizes as “outright kitten” – I could be wrong though.
Add in partying with the enemy to engage in direct personal attacks, saying x guild is kitten even though we all know that 1 person does not equate an entire guild, and you’ll have it made.

LOL – Just because they may or may not, doesn’t mean that I am someone that does that. You should know that’s not my style – I much prefer to join their party and talk silliness with them, but you’ll never get a party invite from me and hear me say any negative things!

I love NERF… you guys are a fun bunch of people, and I apologize if someone within the guild I have been a member of for a month, said something that offended you, however, you should know by now that just because a member of a guild does something that offends you, that doesn’t mean the whole guild does it! Please use BT as a reference. I was with them for several months before they dissolved into other games. We had several trolly types within the guild – does that mean that I did it? Nope! Not at all!

Everyone has different ideas of what “engineer” means. I came across an old screenshot from something I completely forgot (indicative of how bad it was). I played Hellgate:London and Engineer was my class. LOLOLOL! This whole time I was thinking that GW2 was the first time I played such a class. It was a ranged class that used hovering drones like pets. And a lot of the armor looked heavy with all sorts of masks.

HAHA You got it on video?! I had to hang around and watch! Was LMAO! We capped the camp and then pushed forward: “We got the buffed vet.”, then I said, “Wait! They got the vet up!” Then I saw the two vets going at each other and started taking screenshots. When the buff wore off our vet and died, the circle went up!
Seriously, we capped the camp at the same time I think you guys got the vet up and it caused a race condition. The game acknowledged our cap but the NPC guards were yours, except for our buffed vet of course.

My experience with turrets is that you should take Accelerant-Packed turrets. It doesn’t matter if you plan on detonating them or not. You have a choice to use them as knockback bombs when you need that. They also behave as bombs when the enemy destroys them. That surprise can either make or break a fight.

Search for Koroshi’s healing turret guide on YouTube.
You have to hit the healing skill twice essentially to put the turret down, activate overcharge first thing, then hit F1 to detonate it. If you detonate too soon, the water field won’t be active. It takes some practice.

I have to disagree. Two bunker guardians versus two bunker engineers and engineers won. I got tired of losing on a test build (plus the video driver was acting up) so I switched to my bunker build that is similar to my wvw build around 4:10. We won every round. Guardians cried, “We can’t put out enough damage as bunkers.”

No. Just no. Changing Super Elixir from a light field to a water field nerfs the builds out there that rely upon Super Elixir for condition cleanse rather than 409/elixirs. Bad idea.

I like to Acid Bomb a downed person too, or Napalm. Anytime someone is going to stand in place, I punish them with those skills. It’s somewhat effective against golems too.

Because engineer always has the potential to slot a kit and when someone finds a trick with kits, like the Runes of Tormenting, how could they not balance that? Kits are part of the class, whatever you want to call them. The kit as a specific class of engineer skills, like shouts or signets or turrets or elixirs or phantasms or illusions or consecrations, etc., is just following a design pattern set out by the devs. Balance requires consideration of all things.

The only encounter I’ve had so far with that Bags guild is seeing a few of them (along with members of Rise, Hmmm and DUI) among the 20 or so SBI players spawn-camping about half a dozen IOJ players in the NSP BL tonight. They spent almost half an hour trying to lure the IOJ players out of range of the legendary guards so they could zerg them.
I’m sure they’re pretty talented duelists using the most up-to-date solo roaming builds since most of them were quite difficult to bring down, but it didn’t really leave a great impression of any of the guilds involved to see them invest so much time and effort into trying to flank outnumbered opponents just outside their spawn point.
I have it on video even.
