Noted: this isn’t at all to say Necromancer is remotely OP. But they are strong in small fights. They have issues completely unrelated to that, though, that make it very difficult to actually use them in high tier competitive play when teams are playing well together.

Did you consider you’re health in downstate mechanic is also in there? downstate is not totally defeated nor dead, entering downstate can give you another set of skills and another health bar (yeah i know we need to adapt) considering the fact, but i might be wrong and of course if someone wants to enlighten us about this matter is much appreciated. we might seek some advice to those top leaders on boards or might be some red post to clear things up.
Because i too has problem on the matter, and yeah spvp is about bleed and burn.

as do invis, they have different mechanics and meaning.
i like the idea of,become totaly invis when not moving and near shadowy area (for those skills and utility that has invis only)

The problem is it’s actually not that fun because everyone who’s high rated keeps fighting the same people over and over. That’s why even the competitive community is dying out now.
For reference, one of the teams to get into the third-place match today (Team Teamwork) consistently loses to PUGs. That’s the quality of the competitive community today and solo and duo queuers.

I believe Pvp in this game called Structured Pvp, so yes those Cannons, Treb, Champions, Lord, Broken glasses and structure is definitely involve. its just people called pro’Pvp now adays don’t bother to understand and put some effort to know what to do and whats not in a structural competitive scene. its not all about class composition bear in mind that Strategy exist in structural way. Throw some 8-10 or more people on those structured map you’ll see what im talking about .

a good thief will never die, because he/she will run to another point and/or disengage to reset.
Thief never die sounds godly to me, agree better nerf thief too overpowered and
face the fact that gw2 structured peebeepee has only one game mode teach you how to play your class choice and force you to do Conquest rather than Killing (the way thief meant to be). yet you’re a Thief stealing left and right makes you win either Kills or Pointnode remember the saying? Hold your point cease theirs? or Do i have to draw you a picture?. give them another game mode and it will be fine as long as capnode is not concern or better play Wvw and try to assassinate a Commander with his zergling beside him, much fun.

Pretty much every class will beat a thief 1v1. A thief excels at spiking targets softened targets in teamfights as well as ganking unsuspecting players traveling between nodes. Because of a thief’s high mobility, they are great at capping undefended nodes and if you are trying to assault a node 1v1, a thief’s help will end the fight pretty quickly. xD

About Hidden Killer, the tricky parts is how you can kill without being hidden?
for me grand mastering Shadow Arts(Ninjutsu) + Hidden Killer d/d is the key as a thief.

heck how can i become Hidden Killer if i cannot hide? i play d/d sbow Thief btw, and yet SR 60sec cooldown is more balance than 4sec stealth interval using BP+Leap (in my point of view) in reality i need to use my SR to scout and kill/gank enemy before stealth fade (i wish you already knew how long stealth last using SR, its fine you can use calculator) oh and dont forget the +sec when traited to Ninjutsu.

At this point it is likely that thief should be removed from the game all together. I am being serious. WvW hates the stealth and mobility Spvp wants a newly buffed after more than a year skill nerfed. I think the class is so tired of being kittened over that it is time for it just be deleted from the game.

We’d like to incorporate guilds into the ladder/season system when we come out with it next year, but nothing is very concrete yet. Personally, I think it would be awesome to look at the ladders and see guilds listed rather than individual players. That said, this could pose issues for more casual players who like to ‘team hop’ or pug about.
I’m probably opening myself up to some interesting suggestions, but imagine you’re in-charge of creating the ladder/season system.
- How would you design it?
- How would you incentivize teams to stay together?
- Would you penalize them for splitting?
- What types of rewards would you include for each ‘division’ on the ladder?
Note: I’m talking about futures seasons/ladders, not the current system.
How would you design it: 8v8 10v10 team/guild open field deathmatch(points per kill only) 5mins timer per match(yes 5mins, killing is my profession and killing is my business)
How would you incentivize teams: Gems every end of the month/season (we need more skins in gemstore!, and hopefully animated skill skin in the future and those double,triple,quad kill,in my screen annihilation also via gemstore)
Would you penalize them for splitting: fair enough
What type of rewards would you include for ea division on the ladder: Regional Tournament(sponsored), Continental Tournament(sponsored), International Tournament(sponsored). did i over extend? i don’t think so i just want it to be more competitive and be realistic so i demand the impossible.

If this game has no reputation as a good PvP game is due to those reasons i mentioned before ( slow balance handling, gamebreaking bug left untouched for months, no rewards, no way to estabilish serious competition), not because playerss want to play “cooperatively and not competitively”.
And I disagree. Because when I have discussions with people outside the PvP community, I get a general negative response that has nothing to do with specifics of the PvP system.
Most people don’t like PvPing because it’s a much more difficult and aggressive form of gaming. And GW2 also has another option that vies for players who like inter-player combat in WvW, which is much more relaxed and has other benefits over PvP.
Again, you’re not getting my point.
This game already HAD, in the past, a good PvP community, without caring about WvWers and PvEers.
Gw2 players that don’t like PvP have no point in playing it, but if aNet had been able to keep old PvPers ( like 6months after release) and let the PvP community grow instead of letting it shrink, this game could have had the potentiality to attract lots of people interested in PvP OUTSIDE the Gw2 players crowd ( most likely from other games, or totally new customers).
Anet, with their decisions, cut this game’s PvP legs.
We don’t want PvErs and WvWers in PvP, they’re, with a good amount of certainty, the cancer which brought all those terrible balance decisions into the game.
I may sound elitist and most probably i am, but this is the truth.
Exactly! we do not care about those ingame rewards, and then they put a lot of them suddenly all competitive teams quit and those so called HARDCORE SPVP players you can see on the top100 using their condition hambow cheesy kitten build just to flash their name in the leaderboard remain.
