Should be remain as it is. Perhaps people need to stop doing 1v1 against DS ele and try to rotate/lure where your melee friend is. After all, a well timed condi burst is much more rewarding.

Yea, those minor trait called Lead Attacks (Ferocious Strike and Exposed Weakness) serve absolutely nothing interms of damage modifier.

I am quite dissatisfied about the decision they made on this one, cos Anet balance team has lack intellectual capabilities around thief and never expect the day shall come that Thief would have a working Elite skill yet nothing wrong on BV to begin with. first of all, buffing Acrobatics at this point is nothing more than throwing a bone to f2p players.
If i were them; iam not going to touch Acrobatics and leave the way it is. if they do, One of the Thief weapon sets will dominate the foodchain.
Again, if some of the Thief are having difficulties playing the Core, perhaps HoT will suit them the most. equip DD become braindead and kill your own build diversity more profit ArenaNet.

I think elementalist would need a new 4 stat combo to be viable at roughly the same level (maybe something like 1050pow/1050condi/560vit/560healing).

All specializations need to be toned down. All of them are better than any vanilla build.

Even if you nerf mesmer and revenant to reasonable levels they’ll still be useful due to the core nature of their mechanics.
There is only one solution in this kind of problem. and lets face it Conquest is not balanced around 5v5.
Classes like warrior or thief on the other hand depend on bigger numbers to be useful.
Make 5v5 as a Practicing ground and Bring back 8v8 as their competitive point of view and start playing GuildWars in GuildWars2.

Buffing and nerfing Thief on its current state is crucial, i doubt we’re getting more buff aside other new Elites. as far as Might stacking goes, let alone other class profession do so though i am all for boon sharing mostly done in coordination.
Again, we do not need more of those damage percentile aslong as some of those can get through runes and sigils, besides stabbing someone behind while maintaining positioning is much more skill rewarding cos of 10% damage boost, didn’t we. must learn from the past or more ThiefcrycryOP (Elite spec included) it is not Thief, other class profession must need to be look at.

My biggest gripe is how most builds that compete in end game have to have trickery and daredevil or either you are gimping yourself if you leave either of these out the way that daredevil works. The main thing I have a gripe with though is the daredevil has no traits that have any synergy with shadow arts or stealth. All the while you have classes like druid/ranger and mesmer/chronomancer and even DH’s with using trapper runes big changes with HoT for stealth but the main class here that didn’t get a smidgeon of stealth synergy was the thief/daredevil.
I know they kinda wanted to go out of the box on what these new classes or specializations can do. Although I think issues like the shadow arts and stealth should be addressed in the near future or either new elite specialization maybe like an assassin type thing that is based in the near future.
Then again if I am wrong please show me a shadow arts based idea that can benefit with daredevil where I am not forced to also use trickery.
Staff Build.
Use DA/SA/DD , trappers runes with trappers respite and tarp mastery. trait hidden thief/se/CIS.
You will get plenty of stealth for hook strike which can be followed up with an immediate attack. Impact sigil on staff used in conjunction with the Shadow trap and you get a knockdown and 15 stacks of might with 10 percent bonus from the sigil. It hits hard whether you follow up with vault or fist flurry after triggering basi. if you got staff mastery that another 10 percent damage. Executioner traited and there another possible 20 plus the 10 percent from exposed weakness. Slap on 7 percent havoc mastery.
Some decent modifiers right there, i ignored might stacking coz they serve absolutely nothing. and forgot some runes and sigils has it. kidding aside, DD is the only way to go in this current Thief state.

Some of you still doesn’t learn how to make an elite, first you must shave the said Traitline lets say DeadlyArt and then demand.
Astral form with new set of astral weapon skill plus 10stack vulnerability tools which can also reveal hidden opponent, some 10sec Timespacewarp Elite with some improvised backstab armor piercing while stealth please. while the numbers and damage is always negotiable to prevent frustration.

TBH, right now that’s the only way to communicate to your team, sometimes important info like “I have two enemy players coming to me on home”
I think that they should implement a simple hotkey message system with commands like:
“Watch the node” “1,2,3,4,5 incoming” “Help!” “Disengage/Retreat!”
commands like this could just make the game better as a whole, and allow for smoother communication in combat

I play soloque, giving your ally a precise number of incoming opponent is really really informative interms of defense. sometimes i just ping the mini map and draw a line where the enemy will go (Scouting) or ping a Node and draw some Roman Numeral to indicate the numbers near the said node.
You don’t have to go anywhere either blogs or game guides that ask you for donations Game is so complex they just trying to make it difficult for the sake of you know, Money.

As far as i recall, your matchmaking depends on how you perform in your previous match (personal score included) and so on and so forth.
and if i am not mistaken (red post clarification if need be) for all this pips and pops, game is team-based loosing a pip means you as a TEAM did not perform well (see TeamScore) at the end of the match cos thats the only one matters. rumors says you need to attain 300 points to not loose a single pip of course the greater the number the better. (Unless the system has change) ^^

The answer to your scenario totally depends on what mechanic is giving you resistance. It has nothing to do with Resistance itself.
FYI, the moment you get resistance, condition ticks happening while you have it are instantly negated, IE: In your scenario, any burning ticks that fall in that short window of resistance, their effects will simply be skipped.
So yes, if you get resistance during an immobilize or fear, you regain control and or movement, even while afflicted by the conditions.

Hold on, so what you are saying is if X team gets 10 stacks of bleeding, 5 stacks of burning and 4 stacks of poison and team Y applies 1 stack of bleeding, if his health reaches 0 by condition ticks it will be a 50/50 chance?!!

You can’t blame someone who can see all the condition stacked/floaters in his screen.
There is an easy fix, when he reaches 1 health he gains 1 second of resistance.

I mean, my Thief has a really buffed up Steal with a heap of secondary effects. It damages, buffs me, heals me, poisons the target… I think it also causes Weakness or something.
All i want is the Shadowy Aura on my Initiative Bar, i mean when i go Stealth i get my Shadowy aura because you know i get Faster Regeneration, or perhaps Shadowy Aura as baseline as you stated and when i hit someone with Cloaked in Shadow shadowy aura disappeared cos of Blind.
…Is that an attempt to trick Anet into caring about Thieves?

Baseline is neat, although effects per Grandmaster traitline could be more nasty on Thief core. To add something up: Hidden Killer put some tiny red lightning while in stealth outside or inside the shadowy part.
