Baseline is neat, although effects per Grandmaster traitline could be more nasty on Thief core. To add something up: Hidden Killer put some tiny red lightning while in stealth outside or inside the shadowy part.

i use D/D i cant really duel anyone i have to stalk someone or steal around corner to melt them in 2 seconds but as soon as they dont die i retreat

I do not know about them but my pvp experience in this game is fun and nasty. I play thief which fun to play with and the beauty of trait system in this game is awsome, you can choose which role you wanna play with the help of different weapon set, runes and sigils which is by far the best. Though you might see some bias against other class profession mostly in 1v1scene cos they think going mainstream is the key which i dislike and against with. Long story short game is becoming a Koreanmmorpg and they really like it cos of this 1v1 bias.
And sometimes you’ll see a lot of balance guru crying about this and that please ignore them they dont know what are they doing, as for ingame kindly ignore those savages you’ll encounter cos they lack values and manners.
Please play conquest.

You partially missed my post SA thief healing is trash without blind which d/p naturally has but since it seems you agree with CnD getting baseline blind it’s alright.
Dont you think you misunderstood the statement above? But hey who am i to balance the Thief around me, i dont mind if they change the dagger Offhand weapon skill mechanic to make all this crying thief or other multiclasser happy, as per usual we adapt.
Dont get me wrong,all i wanted is (us) to multiply not gonna lay down my weapon and Mesmer take all the Credit

Some of you crying because lack of sustain, they gave you an option to choose both Shadow Prot and S.rejuv so that you can heal like a healing signet while stacking Regeneration through stealth(I do not know if this one is intended or a bug,if some of you has the knowledge please do share inb4 exploit) if you people still having problem with Thief sustain, maybe its you not the class because thief is not meant and design to access all possible sustain other class profession has(again prove me wrong).
As for Cloaked in Shadow; worth to be Grandmaster a good option to those who preferred glass or the other way around. What am i saying is, as offhand dagger i should have option to access blind like offhand pistol have (blinding works perfect against a.i doing burst when timed properly and good combination using Tactical strike mainhand Sword stealth skill cos of daze and it takes skill to land CnD against player in spvp scene) this comes from a thief who played their game the way they want.

Technically speaking all they need is, some kind of a Do-ers. Hired someone? but they already has one, as someone claim all they need is to look at their data. Fine money is cool but gift is way more cooler.
As for TTK, as long its existence is based on Team coordination which include Timing (Cc), Animation Telegraph(to give opponent reaction time) and the most important part must be compose two or more to burst someone down either point defender or attacker, I can live with that.
Dont get me wrong, I am all for innovative pvp experience a year or two from now.

Imho, Thief is still fine in conquest and OP depends who play it. although i am all for nerfing the class profession more to the ground and sell the buff in the next expac release. #kaching$
and to those people saying D/p is the only viable build thief has. clearly you don’t play thief and didnt tried how high skill capped and rewarding P/d in terms of skillful play.

I am by no means against this class profession, but looking how they put all the resource to have such beauty on his skill animation (looking at you Unrelenting Strike) is the moment you’ll realize that, he is more assassin-ish than Thief (lol) and the Glint e-spec such cluster magnificent. but hey it is their main selling point in pve land.

Lets face it, some of us are having difficulties against Malice (fact that it can be easily applied) while a lot of us are sluggish enough to read in Official gw2 wiki and that is why a lot of us (myself included) does not really know how Condition Damage scale as of now.
Perhaps the more total Armor i has should be a bit useful and deduct its damage? or if any of you has the knowledge, i’ll politely appreciate the help (Devs included, math is difficult).

Clearly which ever weapon set, amulets and runes being use, i would run away whenever i am at disadvantage. (tell me, why should i give them an easy 5points?) it would be cool if two or three of them chased me to put some disadvantage in other point area (who says thief doesn’t have Crowd Control in conquest?). I admit, reading all the statement you guys put in is amusing and some of you has a point though i do not play on the top of the top of the top of the food chain but it keeps me wondering which Region you people are playing that you guys still lacking knowledge in terms of Thieving in Conquest.

As for Thief, i believe it is working as intended. they already do the rework and gave it 40sec iCD which is fair(cos the old one has 3sec interval)and right now it can be shorten because Blinding Powder is labeled as Deception combined with Cloaked in Shadow plus the blast finisher and the triggering effect (if I am not mistaken) is always 6feet tall above your head much better than Decent of Shadow. About damage reduction, idk I hate maths all I understand is addition and not subtraction.

It’s in good shape in terms of conquest, still. Although it needs more nerf depends on who play the thief itself. Tips? Play the Trait System and look for yourself how wonderful it is.

I am all for a positive role of the thief, as long as i can maintain pressure in teamfight. but i am a bit afraid about Distracting Dagger, it seems they stole a valuable utilities on Mesmer outhere. do they not learn from the tears they gatherd in the past?

I do not know how they ship patches up but.
A -1 to d/d fire skills in ring of fire and drakes breath to me is where we should start.
It should be 1stack per pulse based on field Duration. but hey professionals are made they are not born.
Another thing is making mesmer unable to use there shatter skills when stone or knocked down would be awesome.

Pretty much if a guy is doing dodge jump all the time which in combat is impossible to do it every single time.
So let’s say, you 1v1 someone and he’s using dodge jump often(have energy sigil+vigor) then he’s using a macro with 90% chance – there can be someone to do 5 in a row luckily, but doing 8~12 is pretty much impossible and repeating it in every combat.
Hence, anet should fix that dodge jump thing.

A dodge jump is when your character jumps and dodges at the same time. There was some tiny benefit to it… but I forgot what it was.
However, simply observing someone dodge jumping all the time is no evidence at all. Even the mentioned percentages are simple assumptions. I dodge jump really often, cuz it looks cool on an Asura. And if I trained for it, I am sure I could dodge jump almost all the time, because it is not that hard. With how my keyboard works, I simply press dodge and jump at the same time and it results in a dodge jump. Doesn’t work on all keyboards though^^
That tiny benefit is matter, cos its a whole evade frame. imagine when that tiny benefit got abused, no need to draw a picture right?

Wuvwuv people call it Synergies, pvp people that smash button brainlessly and can defeat their opponents in 1v1 scenario called it Skill.
Pretty much I did played the wrong game.Alternatively, you could use D/P, cover your condi-ally’s condition with blind and interrupt their condi cleanse with Pistol #4. You’d have better offense and better defense.
