The only thing that gets me is the GAP between back items & Charr – there is a huge gap & WHY were they so poorly designed on this aspect?
Another thing is tail clipping – Anet knows charrs have tails yet they ignore us & come out with sub-par armor skins (sub par looking on charr anyways) ignoring a charrs tail.
Yes, lets design a character & completely ignore everything about it that is wrong.
If we get new horns, they will clip with charr ears most likely.

If your dungeon team has that hard of a time healing themselves they need a babysitter; you need a new team.
But a few heals here & there never hurt either especially if it’s aoe heal. But going full support if that’s what you plan I don’t recommend. (take it from an ele who used to run full support in dungeons)

WvW = Support
The only ele’s who suck are the ones who don’t understand the concept of switching attunements & the advantage/disadvantage of each attack— those are basic A, B, C’s of the ele. Ele’s do not suck it’s just we have to work a little harder to get the results that a warrior or guardian can get in just 1 second.
Just use scepter/dagger for your heals- damage + heals right there.
I’ve played 2 eles since gw2 launch & only used staff 100% all the time at 1st but now I use s/f almost all the time, s/d, d/d, d/f(dagger/dagger is kinda rare) & only use staff in Arah (rarely only if needed) & WvW
IMO you cripple yourself going all support with any class. But that’s just me!
You play how you want, if support is what makes you happy & keeps you happy then by all means go for it.

What I mean by Tribal Armor is the PvP set of Masquerade. I haven’t been able to get on to the game yet, but I’m curious if anyone knows about it. I’ve always wanted to use it in PvE, but it remained a PvP-only skin. With the new integration of PvP skins into PvE, I’m hoping that it does not just vanish, but rather becomes a new armor set in PvE.
If anyone has info, let me know!

Go to Support & click where it says “submit a request” then file it under gem purchase or w/e it says & explain your issue by titling it with Wardrobe gem skins or whatever it is you need fixing

My town clothes are completely gone. They were supposed to be converted to tonics but I got nothing.
Did you speak to a black lion armor merchant? they are beside the trading post npcs
Meh I really don’t like the fact I can’t dye my town clothes…. I didn’t purchase them just so I couldn’t dye them. If I’da known this when I purchased them; I would have never bought them!
You could also do a mix of zerker + valkyrie – either way you will get 1 shot- but atleast with valk it may take 2 shots instead (sarcasm)
I run valk & zerk on my ele; works like a charm & I don’t use a staff normally unless needed since most pve fights don’t require range. But when I do switch to staff it’s beautiful
I’ve only been able to kill 1 thief on my ele & that was only a few days ago… but then again I don’t often engage with 1v1 bc I usually mindlessly follow a zerg.
Anyways, somehow I caught them offguard & killed them but I’m not ashamed to say- thieves are the only class I don’t mind running from xD
As long as there isn’t a reduction in the over all power in armor traits, I’m okay with it. Like valk for example, my ele wears it for the vitality & the fact it’s power is the highest like zerk & a few other armors- It’s way to expensive for me & probably other people as well to just find another armor set :/
So- in order for me to obtain a pvp skin I like just to use for pve, I have to farm pvp to lvl & get it? (I’m talking about the masquerade pvp set) Or can you craft it? Find it as a drop? Is it auto unlocked for the wardrobe?

I’m against the possible no mixing & matching, 1 time only tonics, that’s a slap in the face for most players- but if it means I could possibly get countess Anise’s armor this way….. You won’t hear any complaints from me
Soooo…. those of us who actually bought different clothes to mix & match have just been slapped in the face due to the no mix-n-match clothes? I can understand that armors should be with armors due to clipping issues & stuff but seriously, no mixing town skins? You guys can’t be that ignorant….

Well, I agree games are about having fun so forth- but if you’re in a dungeon more often then not you’re going to run into people who enjoy dungeoning so much that if you don’t wear a specific color, you’re going to be kicked. /exaggeration
Honestly though, for someone to kick you for using hounds (which how much do they actually benefit for one?) That’s great they’re fun to use, but do they benefit at all? I’ve never used them, but I certainly wouldn’t kick you for using them.

I actually like rangers, yes I see their issues but I’ve never been kicked from a dungeon for being a ranger or using an axe or a longbow. There’s only been twice where I’ve been kicked – one time was Arah path 4 & I was leading a group who was experienced in Arah just not path 4, they kicked me because I didn’t want to clear every single thing in the entire dungeon run, luckily I was the dungeon opener. Another time I assume was to replace me with a friend/guild mate in CoF & I was the dungeon opener to that as well.
I’ve seen players kick others for simply being rangers, I’ve even kicked really bad rangers (they didn’t listen, pulled everything & were overall just fools) I’ve seen really good rangers- but I’ve also kicked bad players in general, not just because they were rangers. I’ve seen more bad mesmers than anything- but since this is about rangers there’s my 2 cents.
So long as I didn’t have to delete an already existing character in order to use it, I wouldn’t mind it at all & I’d love for a new profession entirely. A heavy armored one or maybe even another light armored.
Define what you mean by terrible- my definition of a terrible player @ this game is someone who doesn’t take advice, not willing to cooperate, griefs others for their own gain or no particular reason(particularly in dungeons) & unwilling to learn or unable to understand their own mistakes.
I think maybe a guardian for you or a warrior- they’re on a simpler scale but fun. Warrior is literally Hit, dodge- the guardian is Boons, hit , dodge. I’ve seen my share of bad guardians & warriors though, like 1-track & it’s nightmarish because they didn’t benefit in any way, as if they were unable to comprehend what skills to use when & where. Just another body.
Every class has it’s benefits & falts & a learning curve.
I do not recommend a Ranger, to often ‘new’ players play a ranger & are unable to comprehend that their pet is more of a liability because they have yet to truly understand the mechanics of it. Not saying there is this huge mechanic to them just a matter of when & where & timing.
Also, play with a friend- if you don’t have any friends, join a new player friendly guild because that will help you when you need it most on specific things or questions for: builds, gear, weapons, dungeons, quests & all that!

I fixed my own issue! I have windows 8 so it was pretty easy. I didn’t have to reinstall anything, just re adjust my settings for touchpad by hitting the:
1) Windows key + X then I pressed P to be brought to control panel-
2) Then at the top right I clicked where it says “View by:” I clicked on Large icons which then showed me every available thing. The one you want is MOUSE. You will then be brought to Mouse Properties.
3)There should be several tabs with a + box beside them, click the one that says “Pointing” then it will drop down & you’ll see “Sensitivity” – the one you want is called Touchcheck or Palmcheck- either way it has a scroll bar when you click on it. Change the scroll bar all the way to the left then hit APPLY.
My issue was that I couldn’t rotate my camera while pressing movement keys & I use a touchpad.
No reinstallation needed! But this is just for people who haven’t checked this option & that is their problem.
This is coming from a girl who doesn’t know jack about computers so I feel pretty accomplished!

I have this issue as well; I use a laptops touchpad & when I hold down the movement keys & try to rotate my camera at the same time- it doesn’t work UNLESS I press my space bar which seems to like… ‘okay’ the rotation if that makes sense. But each time I press another key to move, same deal.
Will downloading the info in that link help so I can actually rotate my camera WHILE moving with the W, D & A keys?
Or is it a simpler fix such as going to control panel & digging a little?

Between that & all the backpieces/anything that goes on the back & it floats it made me NOT want to play a Charr- but overtime I just got over it, Why create a race & not have a care in the world about issues such as this? That’s idiotic that “It’s because more ppl play humans, so we will entirely ignore a single race.” Then just delete the Charr race ANET if you’re going to be this irresponsible.
I think my warrior is boring & would choose my ranger over my warrior anyday. But I’d choose my ele over all. I’ve only ever been kicked from a party for being anything but what they wanted (which they didn’t list in their description) they kicked my necro right @ the end of arah path 4 to I guess add a friend. We weren’t even in arah for over 3 hours so I didn’t get it.
My sister who mains a mesmer was kicked from a dungeon for not using a GS because she also told them GS was boring- regardless, neither are valid reasons to kick someone.
I play ranger in specific dungeons that people seem to ‘think’ only warriors are capable of doing but my ranger goes all legolas, riding shields as surfboards & outdrinking dwarves thanks to daddy Thranduil for our incredible high tolerance of alcohol… all in one dungeon run- it’s like helm’s deep all over again
I’d love to see the masquerade set from pvp brought into pve (with all due respect) without having to worry about grinding through pvp in order to get it
My question is – do you 1st have to earn X gear through pvp in order to wear it in pve? Or will there be a different system into earning the pvp X gear in pve?
Hmm but will the pvp armor be introduced into pve regardless if you pvp or not? As in, if you don’t pvp much or at all, can you still get specific exclusive armors that have only stayed in pvp (up until when this patch comes obv) without having to pvp?
I’ve stood near her spawn location which according to dulfy is the durmand dig site (and am currently there as well) waiting for her to spawn – anyone have any luck finding her or know what time she spawns?

It’s impossible on a warrior :| Even with frenzy bc she stuns you.
Dulfy says to do it in an order. That’s if she doesn’t stun you as you approach her, then knock you back- nothing can block that stun she does.
I made the exotic version, I am going to make the ascended version – can I still equip the exotic version, choose the stats & all but still make it into the ascended version?
The event itself is okay, but the spawning of certain champions is what gets me; does the spider champ only spawn during the hologram fight? Noone seems to want to work together or we don’t have enough to help DPS her down fast enough or the eggs & I’ve counted 8 times already at my attempt at the “No Free Lunch” achievement. It’s impossible. And I know it’s supposed to be ranged.

Just delete all the classes so everyone will stop QQing
on an even more serious note: Nothing should be nerfed. in PvE- 25 stacks of X condition needs to changed to even higher stacks, so condition builds can match to zerker in some way
on PvP/WvW- everyone needs to learn to actually play against the class they hate the most or learn to play just in general, then they can see that the real issue is something class debilitating VS they just find it unfair because of whatever QQ reason.. then everyone will join together in harmony & sing to anet of profession woes (who won’t listen & do something the complete opposite OR finally decide 8 months later “Hmm I guess they didn’t like that nerf…” )

All they have is stealth- yes, I have been that ele to be 2-shot by a thief but I don’t hate them for stealthing & chasing, stealth/chase…. stealth/chase
if they don’t have stealth, sorry whats the point of thieves?
Every class has something someone else doesn’t like so they complain over it.
I will agree however nerfs are bad no matter what.
When it comes to warrior… I always make sure I’m with atleast 1 other person XD
but I make sure I stay away for atleast 10 seconds, kite around basically & use lightning to blind him & earth to immobilize him, then freeze him (or her) & then fire it up – but I have to go through all attunements in order to take them down because of CD’s
I use d/f usually (bc they tend to have longbows) & swirling winds has saved my life many times as well as obsidian flesh . If I do use d/d then I basically kite around for a few seconds then use air’s & earth’s knockbacks

You’re kidding right? On my thief eles are easiest class to kill, with LB rangers 2nd.
As a thief I have so many gap closers and my damage is so big I only need a few hits to put you down on an ele.
Good luck dodging me when im in stealth. What cc are you talking about. I lose conditions as soon as I enter stealth.
Roaming on my ele is 100x harder than on my thief. Mainly because every single class is a danger to an ele and you can’t really pick and choose your fights. My low health and armour on my thief is compensated for by my huge burst. Not on the ele!

we are a class that has had its reason for having Low health and Low armor removed – Them being the high burst which was nerfed, Healing which was nerfed, Mobility which was nerfed…
I can understand why Ele had such low health and armor at the start of the game but since all the nerfs and buffs to everyone else, it simply isnt warranted anymore. Even if the nerfs were removed, i don’t think we would become gods again due to how much other classes have been changed and the current meta.

well w this changes ele would pretty well be balanced i guess?No idea about focus, i think i used it to simply unlock the skills and havent used it since. I would say the Conjures (except FGS) are in need of work. Either the Duration removed or the number of uses removed, i would prefer the number of uses removed. This would of course mean slight changes to some of the skills.
I agree with either need our base stats increased to compensate or increase our damage which we can’t have due to the fact we are forced into defensive options due to the fact we start at a disadvantage thanks to the low health and low armor.
I would say: 30second basic cool done if you don’t hit anything, 15seconds if you hit something. Considering it isnt a stun break, you can still be CC during it and everything else
D/D wise, i personally think all Earth skills need to be adjusted. The auto attack is terrible. Ring of Earth is okay. Magnetic Grasp likes to bug out and refuse to hit the person even if they are in range. Earthquake cool down is like 15-20seconds too long and i think that Churning Earth could use a few tweaks. I know its meant to be a heavy hitter and everything but the cast time is simply to long to make it of any use in PvP and the fact that you need to use another 40second cool down utility to even stand a chance of it hitting, says it all….

I argued this when it was 1st introduced; the water & arcana traits should have never been touched, the ele’s with more bunker builds such as 0/10/0/30/30 who would like to shift somewhat away while keeping their boons would never really be able to because.. dundundun traits were moved to higher tiers, hence them being forced to stay 0/10/0/30/30
I’d say for armor artists/ designers & programmers – pay closer attention to resizing issues- test the armor out on ALL races, make sure there are no clippings or anything that would make the biggest noise.
Although imo, you’re going in a…. “correct” direction for armors- maybe delve deeper into giving us old epic GW1 armors for gem skins. Atleast most of those for the ranger class wasn’t coats & you got it right (in gw1)
