I think they might!
I’d love to see Rox’s Quiver return, I used to have one but deleted the character that originally had it & couldn’t unbind it
Is it just those 3 items?
Or will there be more items for sale?

Hello!
My ticket has been in queue for over 5 days.
My Ticket # 379701
(edited by Chasind.3128)
I can say I’m guilty of submitting a second ticket but not because I wasn’t getting help fast enough, it’s because I didn’t include specific things as to what happened for me to submit X ticket & the second ticket actually got a response VS the first – But I’m not encouraging anything at all because I know the hassle it can be for you guys
But I’m bumping!
I don’t it’s a bug, it’s just a re-size “issue” which certain other races have had re-size issues for months or longer, answers have been sought after but no dice still sadly, but it never hurts to keep trying
Are you using a splitter? my sister had her minstrel on 1 mesmer but wanted it on another one of her mesmers, used a splitter & bam! made it account bound
ARENANET’S RANGER DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
THE BAD, THE UGLY, AND THE PETSThe Ranger is a resilient profession that excels at skirmishing by drawing from nature to support themselves as well as their allies. Alongside their pet, they have some of the best single target and sustained damage that will whittle their opponents down.
Lets take this point by point.
A Resilient Profession. The Ranger is a medium armor, medium hit point profession with poor native condition removal/conversion and with a major portion of its functionality partitioned into the hands of a flawed AI where it can be destroyed independently. They’re maybe not as bad off as Elementalists, but the reality is still they are bad at one of the things the Developers think they’re good at. Yes, Rangers can — though MASSIVE trait investment — cover these flaws in a few highly specialized builds, but as a default position for the profession as a whole this statement is so untrue as to be ludicrous.
Excellence in Skirmishing. If “skirmish” means something along the lines of “mobile conflict from range” …nobody is good at it. The underlying damage co-efficients for ranged attacks are brutally punitive and doubly abusive considering most melee attacks also cleave, while Rangers have to trait for piercing. Ranger’s have modest access to knockbacks, immobilizes, cripples, and swiftness — all completely overshadowed by melee-oriented opponents’ easy access to gap closers and CC removal/immunity. And when the fight does inevitably turn to melee, the Ranger’s ability to reestablish position is limited at best, hampered by poor counters to the CC melee-based professions routinely employ to ensure their attacks land.
Supporting Themselves and Their Allies. This may come as a surprise to anyone other than most people who play the game, but Rangers are not considered an amazing Support class. While Spotter, Frost Spirit, and some shared Fury skills are welcome contributions in the one-dimension world of “More DPS”, Ranger Support tends towards inadequate magnitude, long cooldowns, or effective ranges that directly conflict with their role as skirmishers.
Alongside their Pet. Most of the time our Pets simply are NOT along side us – They’re either throwing themselves into melee like maniacs or standing like statues waiting for death to come to them. And they don’t have to wait long, because the content designers’ first and final solution to creating challenge is splashing the landscape with mega-damage red circles that pets categorically fail to respond to.
The best single target and sustained damage. This is probably true, and yet… So what? Success in nearly all encounters hinges on AoE damage or spikes. “Sustained damage” is the “I have nothing better to offer” form of damage ALL professions deliver when they aren’t doing something USEFUL. Being good at standing there hacking on a billion HP World Boss is not something to be proud of. With this statement the Ranger has been defined as the ‘supreme master of mediocrity’.
Lets Whittle our Opponents! The final piece of the philosophy neatly sums up everything that is WRONG with the Ranger profession – a class that must employ mediocre damage to slowly take tiny cuts out of their opponents, while leveraging mediocre survivability, exerting mediocre positional control, contributing mediocre support skills, and saddled with a less than mediocre class mechanic.
The Real Outcome. Its not that the final result is unplayable. You can still go and indulge in basic abnegation out on the landscape. Its that that Rangers are boring and dull, responding poorly to the slightest difficulty when compared to other professions.
+1
This CDI is absolutely pointless when no devs are going to jump in and relay their thoughts on all this… already 8 pages worth of viable suggestions and not a single person on anet staff bothers to give feedback….
that tells me 2 things.
1 – they don’t give a kitten about rangers (we already know this to be true because of their utter disregard for class mechanics)
2 – No one at anet even plays rangers – probably also true when I saw on of the devs live stream talk about rangers and he basically said majority of this class doesn’t make any sense and has very little synergy.Honestly, someone from anet staff please tell me how many hours they have played on a ranger?? does ANYONE on this dev team even know whats going?
I used to think anet didn’t play rangers until I did fractals with a ranger that popped his red tag at the end of the run, not saying he knew how to play it though
thank you both! I’ve just contacted them
I don’t see a fault here, the person wouldn’t listen so got the boot after several attempts of trying to make them listen
this is a pic from the old suggestions forum, “what eternity should look like”, the thread had over 28000 hits and no dev didnt even answer.
Because they can’t face the fact it’s not one of their own ideas maybe
I finally acquired 12 guild commendations again to purchase my next ascended accessory for my ele; but when I did I’m unable to use it- What is the deal? I’d hate to think I just wasted 12 commendations, which aren’t easy to get imo just to find out after the fact I cannot quip it.
I’ve played ele since gw2 release & the 1st weapon I learned was staff- I only ever used staff, thought there was nothing better- it took me awhile to finally realize staff isn’t necessary for every situation- just know that. I now only use staff in Arah if we have a new group facing Lupi. It is very pug safe! Nothing wrong with a staff ele though

For those who need a visualisation of what the non-blue skinned version of zodiac could look like…
I did some photoshopping for y’all. It took me over an hour to get this right, but anyway, below is what it could look like for the light zodiac armor if the blue fleshy skin was removed to just reveal your true skin:
P.S. I didn’t do the shoulders and the flaps above the legs because the sparkly blue bits on those items are not actually part of the flesh/skin that effects your true skin.
Edit: Made it a bit brighter in the 2nd pic as it all looked quite dark
+1 to this, thank you for this- If only we could get it like this, minus so much skin showing
Yeah right and your the most conservative hete I know that only wants to see nacked women. fysb…
I’m a female… nice to assume I’m either a lesbian or a guy who is so into pixels due to some depravity- All I meant for the ‘minus so much skin showing’ was for female armors, if the photoshop was done to female armors instead, it would have to be without so much skin showing. I should have made that clear, less there be a mass hysteria on why someone would say that -.-
I wouldn’t call it mass hysteria so much as “barely comprehensible outburst” =]
But yeah, if the female armor were to be given a flesh-tone version it would pretty clearly have to be adjusted somewhat in order to pull it off successfully.
I’d say if we were given the ability to dye the blue ‘skin’ the whole flesh tone would more than likely become a problem, aside from adding more coverage maybe make the dyeable ‘skin’ harsher in lighter/nude tones so it can’t match any skin color- that would require a remake of “material” like a metal or a cloth… my idea is kinda bleh but when I read the 1st post about people dying it flesh colors this is what ran through my mind.
I think you make more karma in EotM, because I’ve made a heck of a lot more than actual WvW

I can appreciate the work Zaoda has put into this, but it makes the armor look less appealing to me.

Really? There isn’t much skin showing in his photo’s.
I meant it for the female armors
I’d say anyone can top scarlet if they kill queen jennah

I would much love to see more ‘priestess’ like armor for light armors – I only wear the light zodiac shoes, gloves & bottoms because I love the shoe curl & the golden clasps around the legs & the drape but the blue ethereal/transparent skinned legs kind of ruins it so I made based my ele off of a hindu goddess
I would like to see a medium armor that wasn’t skimpy but stylish & didn’t involve a coat & A light armor that doesn’t involve a butt-cape, a drape of some kind, a robe, a dress or a skirt- just normal, flattering pants that can mix well with other armors.
I think it’s safe to say the outcome of this whole thread comes down to 2 suggestions:
1) Make a separate zodiac skin for light, medium and heavy armor that doesn’t have the blue skin at all
OR
2) Make the blue skin dyeable
There we go
What I’ve been saying-
+1 to this
There are WPs & speed boosts everywhere & clearly you know nothing of GW lore.
The maps arent even BIG enough for a mount
We might be getting scarlets hair & Taimi’s hair as well with kasmeers- this would all be great
PLEASE DON’T CHANGE OR TAKE THIS OUT OF THE GAME.
Ahh I love this armorrr
D
I went on a screenie rampageee <3
Don’t worry, so far noone is asking for it to be removed- it’s mainly for there to be a reskin version without the blue, showing off the characters actual features or for the blue skin to be dyeable
It was an event that is no longer, but if you wait I can see it coming back around
I think it’s permanent- like all of the other gem armors (which I believe all are still with us)
Awe I wanted to atleast take the surveeeeyyy
1. I don’t understand.
2. It’s not unprecedented. We were given new facial tattoos as items even though facial tattoos already exist for Norn.
3. There’s no reason why any magic that makes your flesh appear blue and translucent can’t also apply to other materials.
And you know, it doesn’t even matter what the actual material is. You look naked where there is no solid armor, and the entire point is that it’s unseemly to add yet another half-naked “armor” to the game. It doesn’t matter if you’re actually naked or if it’s some sort of skin tight Unobtanium Armor with painted-on nipples. Heavy Armor that only covers a fifth of your body doesn’t seem very heavy to me.
P.s. if it’s a skin-tight suit of some sort, why does the geometry of it perfectly conform to Sylvari skin ridges on the rough skin type? I mean, ignoring the fact that on humans it clearly doesn’t do things like obscure ribs and belly buttons. But the Sylvari ridges are very craggy and multi-faceted, with lots of pointy parts. You would absolutely have some smoothing out of the valleys unless it was vacuum sealed to your body.
1. Wearing the Zodiac Helms, the characters no longer blink or make any of their usual eye movements.
2. The facial tattoos are completely different from what I said. Tattoos in general are/were specific to the Norn race. The ability to change your flesh tone and eye color wasn’t. The facial tattoos also count as a helmet and not a skin change.
3. It doesn’t work both ways. Either the Zodiac material is flesh or it isn’t. You can’t pick and choose in an effort to support your claims.
The geometry doesn’t fully conform to all textures from any race. There are a few lines here and there that resemble the basic features of each race, but the vast majority of those features are covered by the armor. This is no different from real world armor that had basic body features crafted into them (including basic chest shapes). You can just look at the helmets to see just how many features are covered.
Ah agreed, +1
It(the blue star skin) messes up my phantasms completely.
Actually it’s the skin and the haze that comes off of it.I really like this armor – but the option of having the blue skin or not needs to be implemented- I saw in a previous post where the option was in order to have the blue skin body- there needs to be a full set worn. I thought that was a good idea. So with separate body armor pieces it does not have the blue skin phantasm ruining effect.
Or just remove the blue skin entirely- I like it personally because it reminds me of a Hindu deity. And I love mythology – but I almost couldn’t tell what I was doing at one point in a dungeon because of this shredded cube effect.Other than that I really love it.
Maybe it was tested, just didn’t care enough; just like how anet treats the charr
I can see however charr will still be ignored but your mesmer phantasms + this armor block issue will be fixed
Stop making a big deal about the possible shaped Areola & actually stay on track on actual feedback about this armor; Because the more people go on about it the more riled up & offtrack this thread will get.
Just because you don’t like my feedback, doesn’t mean it’s any less valid than yours. You don’t see me telling you your issues aren’t worth talking about.
I never said it wasn’t worth talking about nor did I say I didn’t like your feedback FYI, just to keep this on topic.
Stop making a big deal about the possible shaped Areola & actually stay on track on actual feedback about this armor; Because the more people go on about it the more riled up & offtrack this thread will get.
I don’t think they’ll listen to us about this armor, about what we want changed for those who bought it but only hoped the blue was optional- people are buying it regardless so that means they won’t change it as long as they have the $$- but for future armors maybe they might listen- how about next time do a survey on which skin we like the most because most + feedback on how it would/ could look better.
What do you like about the armor?:
The uniqueness & deity theme
What would you change/dislike?
Most of us like to mix match armors & the zodiac armor makes it pretty difficult to do just that.
I have a few zodiac weapons & the blue on the weapons is a different shade of blue than the ‘skin’ on the armors- I just wish I could either see my characters features with the armor or atleast dye the skin. I bought it thinking I could dye it.
It would be nice if there was another set released without the blue- or atleast dye the skin & enhance the stars within the skin because otherwise it looks kind of like white noise, I also don’t like the haze effect since it interferes with mesmer phantasms & the dwayna ascended backpiece or the fact that it takes away definition when your character is shaded & overall changes your characters features- I bought the light armor because it looked better in the preview- the medium armor though I love, I just wish you could get rid of that blue skin or dye it- I’d like to match my kudzu
(edited by Chasind.3128)
Atleast for those of us who wear the skin; give our characters their features back & add an option that we can dye the blue skin
I can actually see the areola on my norn female- I didn’t happen to notice this, my guy friend did his exact words were “I think those are nipples” (think he was staring too hard LOL)
Was this just a sick joke? Anet comon..Take that away please? cover the breasts up completely if you’re not going to remove the God awful blue skin that takes away my norns features.
This is True OMG +1 to this; now I’m regretting my decision on purchasing this armor- This completely takes the cake- now it’s not as serene as I thought
I loved this armor set when I first saw it. I’m overjoyed there’s finally some attractive-yet-revealing sets for the boys (humanoid and otherwise). I like the effects and the design.
I do not like the “blue skin” effect. I see what the artists were trying to do and I can appreciate it – it’s supposed to be like the Zodiac weapons where the character itself is reminiscent of a constellation. The blue base, though, is very off-putting. I’d prefer to see a lower alpha on all of those areas so that my character was more ethereal than having the blue there instead.
I find the blue off-putting for several reasons. First, it’s very bright, a la Dr. Manhattan (Watchmen), Diva Plavalaguna (Fifth Element), or (I hesitate to say) the Smurfs. The result of the intensity of this color is that it appears to me like the skin is being covered by spandex, an effect that is intensified by the second reason: The blue completely covers the face. I feel as though my character is wearing a blue zentai (a kind of all-over bodysuit). Here are several examples (they are safe, don’t worry):
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9d/Blue_Zentai.jpg
http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/21400000/ICE-MAN-zentai-21465470-1222-1000.jpgI know it’s a little bit cliche to complain about armor with a Charr model, but in this case I think the preview on my character truly emphasizes what I’m trying to say.
http://i3.minus.com/jMyyjsxJVmGcM.png
His face appears chiseled and shiny, with a similar shiny effect showing up elsewhere on the body as well. I play on the highest graphics settings possible (because this game is absolutely gorgeous) and I don’t think the armor preview renders at the same detail; however, this is my primary way of determining whether or not to buy the item.
I like the peekaboo chest and thighs, I like the gloves, and if I could see the skin/fur instead of this blueness, it would be a sure purchase (for what it’s worth, I typically trade real money for gems rather than gold). Based on some of the outraged comments above, maybe there are cultural constraints preventing this from happening. If that’s the case, and the blue can’t be removed outright, perhaps consider toning it down around the face and significantly lowering the alpha everywhere else – maybe 0.2 on the 0-1 scale. I’d be a little disappointed about not having this awesome armor “cleanly,” but it would be a major improvement and a look I could see myself using.
Hopefully this kind of feedback is something you can use – it’s a bit scary to post here!
TOTALLY AGREE! you put it an informed nice way. I grow tired of doing that myself but yes you nailed it.. the blue is the main thing that really urks me… it makes me ask, why even have a character customization screen in the first place?
+1 to this; I think there could have been another way to implement the ‘zodiac’ feel instead of taking our characters features away & making them look like clay models- but I get they’re supposed to look ‘serene’ I’d just rather have my characters features in there minus the blue skin, instead of pre-made features. Makes me wish I never spent the time on getting makeover kits.
If a change is made, whether it be dyeable skins & the ability to actually see our characters features- those of us who already bought it should get the option of having the new Zodiac armor set if a new series of the armor is presented. I bought it for both my ranger & ele, I love the medium on my ranger but I didn’t care much for the ele because it changed her features so much! It looked better in the preview & I actually almost cried because her features were taken away.
Either make the blue cosmic skin dyeable (so maybe we could actually see the blurry stars in darker colors- they may actually look like stars then & not white noise)
Or give us an armor set that shows the actual features to our characters. I’d love to see my ele’s face or atleast her features.
I know the whole zodiac weapon mix/celestial wouldn’t fit well if the blue was taken out entirely but there are ways to keep the theme- Maybe add golden glowy tattoos like how the weapons have that golden constellation in them?
& if they’re reskinned as in taking the blue away so that we may actually see our characters features make all of the skimpy female tops halter-like which is similar to the Female norn Tier 3 heavy armor top- as a female myself I don’t find the zodiac skin skimpy, just the unrealistic boobage & I much preferred my ele’s tiny breasts.
ANET. PLEASE.
JUST RE-RELEASE THE ZODIAC ARMOR.
BUT REMOVE THE BLUE SKIN MODEL.You can even keep the Dr. Manhattan sets. Just release another version of the respective zodiac armor sets which use the player’s regular model.
I agree, make it optional for those of us who already purchased it as well
The actual armor’s sort of ridiculous, but the biggest issue is that it overrides your face with a terrible-looking generic one.
I agree, I’d like to actually see my characters skin though- the current one atm though makes makeover kits pointless
I’m a bit worried that a new chest-mesh will be needed to make the blue skin toggle-able. The females seem to have an increase in the gazonga area.
Oh certainly haha- simple fix would be to make it a halter top that actually looks flattering & not silly like the cleavage ‘fix’ on the heavy version of the female Arah
I love the zodiac skin, the curled boots- the shiny metal armor- so gorgeous! but what bothers me is that it preset my character to a design that I didn’t do- meaning if I where to wear the full set, the only difference between me & another person wearing the same armor is that one of us may be taller than the other.
The blue skin should be optional from the get-go but also so that we may see the characters we actually created that aren’t brought on pre-set by wearing an armor we like just not the blue skin effects of it.
(edited by Chasind.3128)
Personally I love it- I LOVE the shoes for my female mesmer
But what I don’t love is the fact that it gives you a preset face and body type.
The option of having the glowy skin or not should be added- bc I love the way my mesmer looks without the blue skin. The actual overall armor parts- are beautiful.
Maybe add a chest covering so that nothing is exposed.
+1 to this!
I agree 100%
the chest area should have an added halter bra
Danicia!
Do you think there’s any chance the art team would make a version of this armor without the blue in it? I absolutely love the detail that they put into the rest of the (Light) armor, but I want to still be able to see my character.
(And if you can’t/won’t answer, could we get an Art person in here?)
You’re right, I cannot offer an answer on this. That being said, the reason why the discussion should stay constructive is because I am actively collecting feedback (positive & negative). So. I will put this in my feedback.
If it’s decided to make the blue skin optional, (which would be fantastic I miss my ele’s face already) the breast area on females can have an added halter top that goes well with the armor, it can actually connect with the current cloth pieces that split on the torso that rides up & attaches to the metal ‘bra’ just the cloth is placed underneath the metal bra- just attach the cloth to the neck area & voila!
shoe/boot improvement suggestion
(see pic)I am serious and not kidding
please remove the weird thing that sticks out the tip of the boot
thanks
I bought it for the boots- they’re unique
Blue skins have to go, I think it will look better if the blue skin was changed into blue tattoos similar in design to how ascended weapons look with the glowy gold lines.
Hopefully no silly-nilly censorship like they did with the Arah Heavy armor.
This +1
Maybe make an extended cloth that covers the breast area but still is flattering- like a halter top
If the blue skin could be optional
Constructive feedback- For those who have bought the armor already – make it an option to toggle the blue haze/skin- as beautiful as it is, I’d love to see my ele’s pretty face in the helmet; not a pre-made face & add a cloth over the bust area that is flattering but not ‘slooty’
(edited by Chasind.3128)
I like the armor, but I dislike the blue haze effect & the part where your details barely show- I should of thought more than twice before buying, the boots are great though
I had no idea – thank you then
