It’s not hard really, just don’t go with players who have never done that path- It is very much so the longest path (but my favorite) & with experienced players who only know P3 of Arah or just new players to arah altogether; it can be an even longer ride than needs to be.
I agree with this – I have to match my armor to the holographic wings… so sad :<
I’ve always thought it was a good idea to be able to wear town clothes in place of armor if one so wishes- like a transmutation over your original armor- I personally see no negatives in this unless the town clothes being released become deathly ugly – I’d love to wear my winter skin dress in place of my already ‘to revealing light armor that’s somehow super protective’
What are peoples ideas on this?
Didn’t you hear? In the Law of GW2 all medium classes must wear unappealing leather & coats!
Recently there have been NPCs with hair & face types that we don’t have, I’m talking about humans, Charr & sylvari – I have yet to see an Asura NPC with hair/face that you can’t use- although some do use human tier 3 culti armor which is odd
Just thought I’d give it a shot to give my opinion- tell me yours!
Lady Kasmeer- both her hair/armor/face are gorgeous; the models are already there so why not just add it like Rox’s horns were added?
Marjory Delaqua- Her hair & face both humans don’t have – I believe she also has some armor that is also unavailable to players
There are some NPC hair/faces that character creation even has but not all – I believe these would be awesome additions & could help sell even more makeover kits if added! I’d certainly be purchasing them for my 1st time in that case.
(sorry for the poor quality)
Lady Kasmeer
Marjory Delaqua
I don’t care for black colors with flames- that’s to manly & not my taste but I’m sure for your sake it would look cool
I’d like water based weapons for land & water of course – like swords, staves, shields, tridents, etc. made of colorful coral, seashells with a Tidal wave design somewhere – I know Orrian weapons have tentacles with dripping water but they’re so drab & ugly
If PvE armors are available in PvP then PvP armors should be available in PvE
I’d love to have this armor
Also, the Light Twilight Arbor armor is glitchy where the shirt meets the skirt – I’ve only seen it like that on norns though
Those are ugly. But it’s a start
Where is the PvP Masquerade armor that needs to be added to PvE?
Why are there NPCs that have faces/Hair that we can’t even use?! – Oh wait, wrong thread…
As long as you don’t hit on us
I’d like to be able to wear my town clothes in replace of my armor.
But everything you said I agree, I would positively LOVE to have a new voice for my characters – that’s something I’d farm for
I actually don’t mind it haha. I hate the cliche zombies, but like how it feels as if you are actually in enemy territory. Wouldn’t surprise me if I’m in the minority though.
A minority of two of us
“This is the way the world ends; not with a bang or a whimper, but with zombies breaking down the back door.”
-Amanda Hocking, Hollowland
I second that – I actually kinda like Orr, but I only go there to farm Arah anymore :/
What we all need are buffs, not nerfs because usually when that happens there is some outcry that people’s builds don’t work as good as they used to & discovering an entirely new build is out of the question because they’d rather complain – But maybe the skills/traits that noone uses (because they were rendered useless in the past due to nerfs) are just getting buffed & it’s all going to be equally matched which it all should be – no more nerfs because of players laziness & lack of skill, Nerfing just makes players NOT want to play that class any longer regardless
But we won’t know anything truly until the changes are made
Yes, just kill the mesmer & thief class because “they’re just so hard! they kill me to fast! OMG I need skillz to face them?! NERF THEM”
I think anet simply went insane if they’re going to just give thief and mesmer new condition, especially condition like that. With current mechanics you need to MOVE to avoid their attacks (which somewhat instakill you if you don’t) and now you’d just get damage for doing it. Way to go. Clever. Good work etc.
I just hope this also means thief and mesmer get a meganerf at same time. i.e. Mesmer GS loses 20% dmg and vuln from autoattack and thief loses stealth from dagger 5.
What Zietlogik said: Uninteresting zones/ massive server splits
Sad but true :<
Wish those zones were as active as in gw2beta but one can only wish
My main is an Ele that used to have a large healing role only because I like playing those kinds of classes, but recently I changed her for more power – in all MMOs I always go for the magic classes first but all of my characters I make sure are pretty, glam & girly!
I’ve always imagined mesmers/Eles somewhat prissy & prideful so I guess that tells you…
c:
I’d like something cool – that’s vague but maybe skins that aren’t town clothes related, because there are some town costumes I’d rather wear in battle. I wouldn’t mind a mini honestly, Or an endless tonic, as long as it isn’t an ooze. You can bet on some sort of massive gem sale though
I’ll buy the expansion only if it means new & improved weapons & armor & more/better character creation options & possibly new classes/Races, Content ect. You know, the normal – also Cantha & Elona- those were my fav campaigns in GW1- I’d love to revisit them
Is this game more anti-social then your average MMO? (SWTOR, WoW, Rift, etc)
I’m apparently on a full world…Anvil Rock, but I never see many people..
Everyone I see never speaks, if they do I feel like I’m talking to a 10 year old with no personality because they’re afraid I’m a predator or something.
It’s really disheartening…
Would be a lot more fun to play with friends and this lack of a social atmosphere is one of the reasons I’ve been unable to get past level 25.
D:
EDIT: For example on World of Warcraft it will take you 2 seconds to make a friend. A normal friend who doesn’t think your trying to kitten them because you spoke. It wasn’t difficult on SWTOR either to make friends. How come everyone refuses to speak or form parties on GW2?
Is it because theirs a lack of competition which means you need less close friends to help you accomplish things? Now that random guy you see wants what you want and your both going to accomplikitten together without the need to form a party or have a discussion because neither of you are competing for anything…idk thats my theory.
I’ll be your friend! I’m in Devonas Rest, many people talk there – I’m pretty talkative!
Yes. I want to be a mermaid underwater! But seriously, I’d like new underwater face gear & more underwater weapons, There needs to be new dungeons with just underwater fighting – like the paths themselves are underwater; not just that one fractals level where you turn into a dolphin, although it is cool
Factions/ Cantha was my favorite campaign – hopefully it will be introduced later, I’ll just show my disagreeing & won’t buy the expansions if Cantha isn’t going to be added. What else can I do? complain? That doesn’t get people very far unless you’re a zerg who hates skilled mesmers & ask to have the mesmer class demolished in WvW
Personal story can be completed within a week or less- that would be alot of people with precursors & legendaries. Not necessarily a good thing….. There shouldn’t be an easier way to obtain a precursor just more alternatives! People need to stop being so kitten & actually work for it, not saying people aren’t but easier way? No thanks, I actually like to work for what I get, that way I feel somewhat that I ‘earned’ it.

I’m just a Dungeoner I guess? That’s the only thing I truly enjoy in gw2 & I’m not talking about hours upon hours of CoF farm runs; just a few months ago when the achievement was available I received Dungeon Master which I am still proud of – I’m now helping my friends with the same title because well.. I gotta stay fresh in dungeons, it’s the only thing keeping me on gw2
I really appreciate the idea of a scavengerhunt and it makes me happy to see a statement showing us they are actually working on it.
But I’d like to point out things that seem to get drowned in the euphoria of an upcoming scavengerhunt.
Once you’ve acquired your beloved precursor, you find yourself facing a new possible problem, an extrem rise of the prices for the rest of the mats.
Because once everyone has their precursor they’ll obviously need all the other things aswell and this will most likely push prices much higher than they allready are.
Let’s be honest, who’s going to farm the t6 mats entirely? who’s going to farm the lodestones (especially the charged ones)? No, it’s much easier to buy them and we know what this will cause.
Now don’t get me wrong, I totally support the concept of the scanvengerhunt. I just think that before implementing it, other aspects of building the legendary should be adjusted. Because as it is now, it might create a new problem.
But perhaps it’s allready planned to make adjustements or maybe my scenario will not occure.
I was thinking the same thing, Either it may implement entirely new T6 mats? highly unlikely though – or current T6 mats will be increased in drop rate, which would be fantastic in this situation
Or put it another way, I hope that Anet will hold on to their goal that only 5% of they player base will ever get a legendary. (…)
I don’t recall Anet ever stating that as their goal, could you point me towards it?
That sounds more like a user goal, not anets. Because honestly that 5% would be the ones who farm it without using real $$ – I’m sure they would of given up & quit gw2 by then
I havent payed over 1g for a dye, but this was back when 1 gold was alot – which how much white dye was at the time
To answer your question, I wouldn’t spend 3 gold on anything that didn’t last – I don’t see how 3 gold is worth a repair canister when it only costs like 11 silver just to go to a repair anvil. I wouldn’t mind the TP gold to gem rate prices so much if it was easier to make gold that didn’t involve hours of grinding the same dungeon. I haven’t bought anything from the gem store since it exploded to 3 gold, but I know thats the players who did that….. if anyone is actually paying 3gold + for the cosmetics in TP, it’s probably because they can afford to. So much for attempting to enjoy the little things……
Here’s Lexi Violet:
You’re my fav necro!
well the glam build was pretty much that. no direct dmg, but punishing mindless zergs that love to blob and button spam. and yes our class should have different ways to lock enemies down. confusion, stuns, daze, cripple, vulnerability and of course reflection. and believe me glam only dealt direct dmg if a projectile was reflected…i want my confusion back!
I agree, I had to change my entire set because I wasn’t getting the satisfaction I once had…. Mesmers need to stop being nerfed.
if mesmers are difficult to fight, then find a better tactic, the class shouldnt be destroyed just because you have a hard time fighting one.
Secretly, Anet wants more people to have to use real $$, so any good thing players can get & make a good amount of in game gold- it gets disabled.
I can’t farm CoF fast enough to be able to afford the mini’s in time- the one I wanted is gone because gem prices are so high & I couldn’t meet the demand of converting lol
Honestly, I don’t get on GW2 as much because I don’t feel I should work 10x harder for my gold to be converted to gems, I too do not use real $$, I rarely convert as it is. But most of the items in TP are cosmetic, but I’d like to be able to get them too.. one day
Sylvari celestial wins!
Celestial is pretty, but you blend in to much & the face looks like Patrick Swayze
It would be nice if PvE could get the PvP Tribal/masquerade Armor… seems like such a waste of gorgeous armor
My vote is Logan Thackeray
I don’t think anyone wants raids in the traditional sense …
I think us Pvers are all sort of scratching our heads as to what we’re supposed to be doing at 80.
This game was supposed to be aesthetically driven, yet there is such a lack of armor skins that most of us have been through them all and are hungry for something to do.
I want a reason to do a dungeon multiple times. Why not throw some really cool armor and weapon skins in there off the last bosses?
I want a reason to do a jumping puzzle more than once.
Why not give JP chests a chance to drop really cool town clothes? Why not revamp the dragons into challenging world raid content that it should have been in the first place? Then make the rewards worth while!
I agree with this, currently my only quest atm since I’m an avid PvE’r is grinding the boring dungeons to get the gold for my tier 3 cultural armor on all my characters
‘Zerker’ is for people who have no skill what-so-ever
I usually kick a player (like a warrior/ guardian) who gets 2 shot because then they are a liability & are likely to rage quit anyways
Oh good. Gotta keep those “no-skill” noobs in check, right?
lol yep
So Rangers finally get a Quiver outside of Fractals, and it is tossed in the gem store? Yay…
IKR
Why can’t a quiver be a Dungeon Armor/Item? Like do a specific dungeon, get the tokens, get the quiver that coincides with that dungeon.
1) Quaggan
2) Quaggan
3) QuagganWho doesn’t want to be a quaggan mesmer, or even a quaggan with a greatsword. <3
This all the way
We probably won’t find out til closer to August 25th anyways.
Yeah more than likely!
It’s something that’s been on my mind c:
Hi everyone!
For those of you who played the original gw1 know that every year you’d get a birthday present on the day your character was created (it usually was a random mini/tonic)- Will something like that happen in GW2? Or be introduced?
I haven’t found anything relating to that
‘Zerker’ is for people who have no skill what-so-ever
I usually kick a player (like a warrior/ guardian) who gets 2 shot because then they are a liability & are likely to rage quit anyways
When will ppl understand that nerfs ruin games? Why would anyone ASK for a nerf?
“Oh this dungeon makes ppl rich, make it suck so they have to be poor like me!”
If anyone is lazy here, it is the lazy, selfish, idiot who wants to ruin things for everyone else because they don’t like it. Get over yourself! Nerfing CoF means everyone would find a new dungeon, which would get nerfed, and so on until there’s nothing left.
I agree with this compeltely
That’s the way it goes sometimes, I feel for you
My friend was trying to make 77 clovers- all of the mats she had are now diminished next to nothing & she only has 32 clovers or close to it
Me on the other hand, I still have most of my mats to make them left over & I have all 77 clovers- I think the ‘luck’ factor should increase with each try.
I see your point, Truly
But I’m currently going for the Wings of Dwayna – if lodestones were to become MORE ‘rare’ then I would just give up – it’s the last thing I’m currently questing, so if the drop rate did infact lessen; well then it’s another hiatus for me. Unless gold drops increase, since I farm everything without using real $$, I wouldn’t see to much of a point to playing anymore beyond that
If more people were running around with the same weapon, so what? Then maybe add the option to dye weapons. :P
I agree- almost every female asura I see has the ‘bun’ hairstyle with the ribbons.
I’d love for a single bun hair or maybe a ponytail
They have pure white hair so they can look like old ladies of course!
