Several of my guildmates have had similar problems all day today such as : horrible lag spikes, constant disconnects, skill delays— everything else seems to work fine for them BUT guildwars2.
I had terrible lag spikes earlier before the patch, now they’re gone- but this DC issue would be a nice fix, I feel bad for them.
If the guild didn’t tell you upon you entering that it is a 100% rep req or maybe you missed that discussion where the rules had been changed, but it is completely up to the guild on how they handle rep. With each non repper, the guild loses that much more influence.
Pay attention to guild advertising, Or when you’re invited to a guild ask questions. Such as the rep req.
Instead of buying rares/exotics off of the TP- just do dungeons & cash in the tokens for weapons that can be thrown into the mystic forge. You make more gold that way, from what? Doing dungeons. The only thing that would be wasted is time. But you’ll have lots of gold & only downfall is you have to wait for a reset to repeat your dungeon cycle.
Before the april 15th update many of us were on our way through pvp ranks, some for other reasons like glory etc- for me it was only to obtain this armor. The Tribal Set armor obtained after reaching wolf rank & getting the ingredients for.
After the wardrobe update, this armor was completely removed from the game, except for those who already had the armor.
I was able to create only less than half the set when the patch arrived, I personally didn’t think it would affect my ability to obtain the rest of the skin.
When is this skin going to be reintroduced? How will it be reintroduced? No I don’t think it should be easy to make- I think it should feel like a reward once obtained. Maybe a reward track given after a certain rank?

The Wizards hat was an item that was released during the 1st wintersday for free- for me I thought it looked terrible on my human so I never thought to get it, thinking it’d come back- I never see it so I decided to look in the wardrobe & saw it’s not even a skin to be previewed. I’m thinking this is a bug or it was a one time & only deal, won’t ever be in wardrobe unless you have it possibly?
I’d gladly pay gems if it were reintroduced back.

I’m saving my revenant to be a charr— i play all races except charr, hopefully anet wont ignore charr features like their tails & the tremendous back gap when they have back items~ hopefully thatlld be fixed by then
I’d like to be able to complete my pvp tribal set- I don’t have the bottoms, gloves or shoes— I think make it a reward track to unlock after you reach a certain level
If you want to play staff/scepter then you should be a terrormancer—- which is exactly as it sounds- you stack fear & your fear damages — but it’s not a faceroll build, you can’t stand in the middle of a ring & think you can take the damage, no it’s not as glassy as a power necro but it’s not tanky either-- It’s all about positioning yourself close enough but not too close as to say “hey im the reason you guys can’t cap/stomp others because I just pulled you with my spectral grasp then feared you to death”
No, I don’t recommend this for PvE due to the lack of raw dps & everyone would be angry because of the fears that make npcs run away in stacking situations— so it’s more of a PvP/WvW havoc thing.
If you went minion master, your minions can spaz out & not ever attack or just attack anything — you wouldn’t be able to handle tons of CC or Aoe, your minions would be dead quickly thus, a dead necro you’d be. Pick your fights carefully
There is a way to fight every class, with rangers it’s a learn to play issue- So, find a better way to approach rangers, because they go down easier than you think.
Saying rangers need nerfs is like saying eles need nerfs— it’s all Learn to play
I was with my friend in a ranked match, who was a mesmer- 2 rangers on other team so naturally those rangers want to longbow everything, but when you get upclose they kitten . I had my ele focus which blocked incoming fire & my mes friend would feedback & it would down their entire team. Very funny & works everytime.
Well, you did your best which is what matters- I do pvp frequently with my sister, well earlier I was in a match, forest of niflhelm & I had just killed our beast when a thief came up & tried to kill me, I killed this thief quickly, I’m a power necro~ Well they whispered me & said I had been reported for hacking. then they called me sexist & racist slurs & said I was a bad player. So the rest of the match literally was me killing them & they threatened me over & over. I trolled a little afterwards, not gonna lie- each time I killed them I’d cry over their body & dance
I reported them for the verbal abuse & blocked them—- my 1st official rager
So, I play a power necro in pvp. I was with my sister in Forest of Niflhel, I went to kill one of the beasts when a thief on the other team tried to sneak behind me so I deathshrouded them & killed them rather quickly- well they immediately whispered me telling me I had been reported, then called be several racial slurs- I said “on what grounds?” apparently to them I was hacking, because they were a zerker thief & killing them apparently should have been impossible according to that thief.
I am so baffled by their rage that I am posting this in pvp forums- I blocked them & reported them for the verbal abuse bc of their racist slurs & moved on—- but now they’re whispering my sister telling her that they’ll have her banned for hacking? This pvpers rage is mind boggling.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before?
Should I file a ticket?

Yes, nerf celestial amulet so eles can go back to being bunkers & zerks only with no other variety- i think anet needs to pay attention to the outcries & investigate if eles are actually OP or it’s bc people need to L2P

I just feel kinda like some of the stuff announced should have already been implemented, not through an expansion- but hey, atleast its something…. now to get new dungeons :P

The nerf isn’t THAT bad, eles will still be able to might stack, just not as quickly
But if it’s an issue for you still, you could go fresh-air which is usually PTV or a zerk staff
other than that, there isn’t much of a choice except for D/F which if played well, can beat any d/d ele
I run a celestial D/F build, it can beat any D/D ele & those (swirling winds) tho<3 LB rangers get dumb when they see an ele counter their BS
Youll have abit of a tough time with fresh air eles, they are rare but a good one will kill you slowly
I find it super fun to play though, I just dont understand why people are QQing saying eles are op? is it because noone likes a skilled ele? Because when people see eles they think the kill should be easy?
Ele is not OP at all, Most eles played are just good, anyone good at their class people assume need a nerf or are OP.
especially considering that at one point literally the only thing an ele could run was bunker, and every other class did it all better so ele had no place- You can still 1 shot an ele.

I don’t see anything op about eles- any class that is played well people seem to think needs a nerf. Considering all eles literally were used for were bunkers or zerk staffs & any decent thief could just 1 shot them. Eles are nowhere as OP as they were @ start- Eles dont need a nerf. Your attitude does.
Playing an ele came to me naturally & I joke with my teammates & guild that elementalists are my spirit animals
My advice, fight a good thief. Or a skilled ele- Fighting a thief makes you faster, Fighting another ele can help expose your weaknesses.
As an ele you’re not supposed to stand there & fight like a warrior, you are literally the wild card that gets in- gets out while supporting your team

Dagger/focus is also just as easy & can be even tankier- but thrives in celestial stats & I use it when I’m faced against another ele, you’ll take down the D/D faster with D/F
Eles are naturally super squish so you literally Get in – Get out
Keep the might going & learn rotations
Stay on your enemy, know when to pressure them- an ele that doesn’t successfully pressure is a rally bot
Staff is for what you’ve intended it for- support/ranged damage
I suggest sigil of energy for the dodges
& if you don’t use static field, unsteady ground, Gust & frozen ground like it’s going out of style, you will have abit of a harder time with certain mobs.
Maybe try A different heal, like Ether Renewal, which gives healing pulses if you’re targeted by a mob
Also try switching out lesser elements for Frost bow, even skilled eles use it- you could cast static field, use FB #5 then #4 on the mobs, have your greater elemental tank for you- ditch the FB once those 2 are used then frozen ground or unsteady ground, glyph of storms (air) & meteor shower & burn retreat once it’s halfway casted & by then the remaining frost bow CD’s should be done & if your target STILL isn’t dead by then, use it or lightning hammer
Anet doesn’t know what to do with eles, it’s not THAT bad tbh- eles aren’t supposed to be front runners anyways, atleast thats what anet seems to make clear
What’s wrong with shooting flowers? I find it quite beautiful~ like a legendary should be, beautiful.
Only legendary I have a problem with is the Dreamer, which is a 1980’s misconception of what seems to be a “rainbow unicorn” which most people seem to think all unicorns are rainbow horses with a horn- if it were based on the more ancient lore around the unicorn, which was a white untamable beast that never died & was only reborn over & over again then it’d be pretty awesome & not some Troll-Bow.
Ele didn’t need a nerf. I don’t see where the changes for D/D were necessary. I don’t play D/D & I still don’t think the nerf was necessary- They need to explain better why it was necessary. They seem to want more D/F, Staff & scepter/X, it’s like you wanna play a spec for fun or because you like it- anet nerfs it bc they don’t want you to play it.
I really like & appreciate the new hairs & faces we have gotten, I was just curous as to when we will have our next update of new hair & faces? Is it possible norns could get more tattoos or charr’s horn updates? Maybe more hair/eye colors or the option to add makeup to female AND male faces- I’d suggest scars for charr & asura, more ear options for asura if that’s even possible- now I’m just rambling but these things have crossed my mind.
Removing the armor so new pvpers can’t get it is just another one of those limited things, whether or not you’re an elitist pvper & dislike this new pvp system & only find the pvpers before the new lvling system implemented worthy of a few pixels that no longer exist unless you got it while it was still there.
It probably won’t ever be re-added no matter how unfair someone may find it, it’s not that great to begin with- some people just want it only for the fact it’s pretty much exclusive but even most pvpers with that armor don’t have the full set.
If I get an armor piece for the new armor on my ranger but I want the light armor is it class specific only or can you choose which version you want no matter what class you’re playing?
The armors only favor Human/Norn/Sylvari- they left Asura & Charr in the dust, why else does everything look the same on these two? Why can’t on a charr it look more ‘Charr’ & rugged that doesn’t ignore their tail & size.

They should have atleast added a 50 gem/100 gem/150/200/250/300/350 gem options- WHY is it capped at 400 gems?

So since I downloaded the recent Halloween patch today, I keep getting this error message (attachment below) And It doesn’t log me out, just pops up randomly. I restarted Gw2 & still the same thing now.
We’re looking into returning the Charr’s missing tail in an upcoming patch. (probably after halloween) – appologies for putting you off balance meantime.
Now all you have to do is fix the backpiece & weapon gaps charr have! ;D (anything on their back basically- huge ugly gap that no other race has this problem it seems)
I play a female charr engi! she’s not lvl 80 yet which I regret ever since this unfriendly alt update where you have to actually grind to get your skills unlocked otherwise I’d post her picture.. with a huge shield gap on her back because anet can’t design anything that doesn’t have boobs
