People with commander tags actually harass me when I have my mentor tag, I get instant blocked upon entering a map having mentor tag on, I’ve been told I’ll get kitten d & calling me sexist names. I’ve reported those people but COMON IT’S JUST A GAME.
When commanders are only leading HP farming ina map I’m trying to get events going to Tier 4 hoping for a bladed armor box, Yes I use my tag & get crap for it. Sorry, I actually like loot when I don’t need Hero points anymore. QQ on.
There is no way intuitively to tell the difference between a commander tag and a mentor tag. For mentors, you also don’t know if they are trying to “mentor” others or are just using the tag to draw others. There just needs to be a way for people to distinguish among these.
Same with commanders, some use it to draw in people. There are still bad commanders who command – there are mentors who want to feel like a special snowflake – how do you tell the difference between a bad mentor & a bad commander? you don’t. There is nothing to distinguish them aside from their icon.
I’d hoped that all mentors are actually mentoring, getting things done, same with commanders by leading.

200% means a full map with ppl who knows what to do and can get everything done.

Yeah, I’ve gotten tier 4/ 200% but just same crap drops :/ almost had an 8th time but an npc bugged & we just needed 1 more event but him bugging caused us to not reach a tier 4
I’ve been successful in getting my map to cooperate in doing all events 7 times, I’ve had almost 200% participation each time. We’d ask those who got the bladed coat to link so we could have confirmation on as how to get it, which was getting T4 map -200% participation, but noone seemed to ever get it, I certainly haven’t, nor anyone in my guild. Noone in the maps I was in ever got it either. Or atleast they never linked it.
So how exactly DO we get this piece? It’s all I need to complete my light armor set, yet no coat in sight. Is the drop bugged? Or do you have to kill a boss to hopefully get it? Can you find it in the airship chests?
Sorry if this sounds like a rant, It’s just been bugging the heck outta me at this point that noone seems to know.
Anet, please make bladed armor chest a higher drop. Show that 200% participation does get rewarded! :‘D blues & greens aren’t much of a reward since that’s what you get literally from everything.

Then it would be fair, it’d be annoying & disheartening to find out ANY person can get it. This community is known for it’s QQing.
It was nothing special to get when it was available, it only became valued and famous after the wardrobe change because it just happened to fall through the cracks.
Considering how easy pvp is now, (even with ranked closed) I’d say it was different.
They get it right everytime they release a new hairstyle & face option. But alas, we have yet to get new ones — call me weird but it’s the one thing I ultimately enjoy ingame.

I think eventually you can get the chest from pvp, it’s not worth farming an event for because you’ll never get a smart enough map to finish all events. It must be an extremely low drop rate, rare than a precursor. Anet really should have thought things through with this set, I gave up on trying to find a decent map willing to bare with me on events, but all they care about are the champions- they let events fail thus, only ever only just reaching tier 3.
I’ve figured your participation doesn’t affect whether or not you get a bladed chest box, if it did then guess what? We’d have it by now.
I’m not HoT, but the Guild Armorer and Weapons vendors were grandfathered. The armor remains, Chests only, and it’s not new. Same with the weapons. The grandfathered vendors are located in most of the old locations, and the Guild HQ in LA.
I believe the pants and other items are still PvP legacy rewards, guild Watchman armor. I don’t find any info that they have been re-introduced. I have the boots.. as well as both the Watchman chest and a variant called Council Watch (Caudecus Manor). there are slight differences on chest, but the other pieces are pretty Identical to Guild Watch.
I can’t find links to New Guild vendor armor anywhere.

I think we’ve all seen the new & improved guild armor, it’s nice & I actually don’t mind wearing it to display my guild emblem for once.
My question is, Is there even a Guild Armorer that goes into your guild hall to obtain this armor? I don’t see the option to build it, and my guild is almost lvl 10. If anyone knows, or if a dev who has some insight could shed some light, it would be appreciated more than you know!
Upon making upgrades to a guild hall- applying X upgrades then wanting to switch a guild hall, do the upgrades stay? Or would the person have to restart all over?

So I thought I’d find out.
I like my mentor title, It’s pretty & apples are healthy. I also give out advice to new & veteran players on HoT events. Yes, I get harassed when I wear it- people blocking me just because I have it, but people are always trying to find something to hate against, it’s the world we live in.
I also think the WvW commander tags need an upgrade!
+1 I convinced my map to do events to tier 3, we lost 1 event so didnt get all the way, so no bladed armor box. it’s a shame anet gated bladed rewards this way, atleast the coat anyways.
It is frustrating 100%.
all of that- Like why try when noone else will thus ruining things further and lessening the chances of getting good a good reward bc omg DA WYVERRRRNNN!
it’s hard to get a full map that works and when it does at least 3 events are bugged and then everyone gives up and well gg.
I also feel that the coin reward is extra low but mats are generously high in reward which is okay but i would at least like to make a little bit more silver than i spend on buying salvage kits – i swear ive lost gold bc of the low coin drop reward.

i didn’t even know they dropped at t-3 never got a map up that high.
Yes, if you are able to get the event bar up to Tier 3, the reward says if full completion, you have the chance to get a bladed armor box. But noone ever completes it fully, they stop as soon as the bar gets to tier 3, they never attempt to get any further. Frustrating really.
aren’t they buyable from the guy at the first vb wp? for airship things and some gold, you need itzel 2 to speak to him properly, but you can see what he’s selling.

Nah i kinda agree, gating the bladed armor box like this was a bad idea…especially when an event bugs, and wont work on any map you get into!
Never had problems with the wyvern though…
Every map ive been on today has been one event away from a full tier 3, but nooooooo one event breaks, and there goes another chance to get my bladed armor ;-;
Seriously though, i just want the chest piece, should be buyable at the merchant like the rest of the armor.
I completely agree- or it should atleast be obtainable through an easier means that isn’t based on an entire map. Because 9.9/10 you’ll get an incompetent map that kitten s bc of a champ wyvern.
Hello! I’ll just start off by saying I love the HoT story, and doing the events can be very fun but also VERY frustrating. Especially when your map literally drops everything just to go kill the Wyvern, and the event progression Halts, and you’re out of an Armor box because 1 person cannot complete events to get the full tier 3. It’s even more frustrating when you have 200% completion & it depletes because you have to constantly run to an event, but get mobbed since there is noone around to help complete the event because why? Because Champ Wyvern guiz. And it takes sooooo long to kill. If it didn’t take the entire 5-10 minutes to take down, which in turn causes daylight to fade & another loss on trying to get a full tier 3 map- then it’d be all good.
It’s almost as if there aren’t but are enough people in a map. There aren’t enough for just a few people to complete map events while the others run off to kill a champ wyvern but just enough to sabotage it. I wish there was an increased reward & the same chance you’d get the bladed armor box that was based on your participation & not the tier of event completion you’re in.
Rereading it sounds like I’m whining, but I can’t really think of a better way to say it since this has happened to me literally every time I’ve tried to help events :/
They’re definitely not a glitch. I’ve been asking for a visibility toggle for the foot slot for a while, but to no avail. I think people finally got tired of my pestering and created this item for me to equip on all my characters so that they can be barefoot like me. :-)

Hello! Currently I’m in the works of upgrading my guild & such, me & many of my guildmates were wondering how to get the new guild armor? Is it currently out at the moment? & do you need to upgrade guild to a certain point in order to get the guild armorer?
Upon breaking Eir free out of her cell, my screen immediately freezes — it did this to me the 1st time I went into verdant brink & the cutscene with the vines plays. This is my 2nd attempt at trying this long story quest, same result.
It is as elusive as a unicorn.
Also, can you get bladed armors from the airship boxes?
If anyone has any info on as how to get this imaginary RNG coat, please do tell!
I’m wondering if it’s through story but I highly doubt it. We’re never that lucky. Is it purely a RNG drop from getting tier 3?
Does participation affect what you get? I don’t think it does, it hasn’t proved anything so far.
So far I have only see a reward track for the gloves (not complaining the light gloves are AMAZING) is it possible to get the rest or is it just gloves from pvp?
if that is the case I would be a bit disappointed but it would make sense to get the new set from actually playing the expansion
You get the rest, except the top- from Verdant Brink, the Frog vendors! But you have to have mastery to be able to talk to them, the language barrier.
No news on if the top not being obtainable is a bug or what.
Irenio has done some amazing work for the prof lately. the druid was really well designed, but needs a few more tweaks. he basically inherited a pile of poop of a profession that had no feel or direction to it. half of our utilities and weapons need to be redesigned from scratch more or less. the druid was a great step in the right direction.
A very small step in the right direction, not to mention a pet of theirs was just nerfed, the smokescale, it was a “bug”- so now they have a random F2 utility that interferes with combo fields & poor damage. That clearly was not thought through. You can barely use CA unless you use a staff & aren’t bursted down before CA even charges. Druid doesn’t really work with the core of a ranger. You can’t use LB with GS & expect to use CA. Do the other profession have this issue? Do they have to use their new elite specs weapon in order to get their special ability to work? Rangers just feel like they could be better & when the changes are slightly positive, we’re given a much more effective negative along with the positive.
Simple question, just look at the ranger section under classes.

Anet just nerfs rangers over & over without an explanation, without any discussion as to how they can make the class work as a whole. not just 1 power build.
This is why Rangers were only given 1 Beta, because they planned to nerf them anyways. Prove me wrong anet, and address all the mishaps youve done to ranger- especially just a few hours ago.
Looking at the itzal merchant & going to purchase bladed armor, all pieces are present Except The Top to the set. I know this is bug because nowhere else can you get the top.
How are you supposed to get the bladed armor achievement when there is no way to get the top?
You need mastery points to rank up yes.Open your hero tab in game,and go to the last tab under achievements that says “masteries”.You will see the current mastery you maxed and next to it a star/sun kind of thing grey color.Click it,spend a mastery point and here you go.Hope I helped
