I have a small guild, we’re currently at level 12 in the upgrades
Today I’ve taken up the new craft, Scribe.
I’m only crafting level 27 & I’ve hit a massive roadblock – Correct me if I’m wrong, but what the scribe makes also ties into what level the guild is? I have the option to make chairs, tables & pillars but we don’t have the decorator merchant to actually buy the schematic from.
Would it be also good for other guild mates to take up scribe instead of just 1 person?
How far are you in your crafting level & what materials did you use in the discovery tab?
Is there a guide yet?

I don’t understand how that’s even possible.

For some people I guess they want fashion & beauty over new content- I have a few guildmates who are constantly chatting about how they want new hair & faces, & when we do get them, they turn to “I wonder what the new hair & faces will look like!”

Well the only problem I am having (my guild is funding my scribing craft) is the Discoveries, it’s like nothing works or mixes? I don’t even know where to begin with that since that is how you level the fastest through discoveries. :|
It’s annoying.

Conditions are more of a thing now thankfully, you can mix & match stats to get what you want now.
Berserker now is like a Nine letter word as elite or elitist is a five or seven letter word if you get my drift. You’d have to be really anal to only require berserker anywhere now.
Not saying it doesn’t exist though, there is old content where as raw dmg might still be a thing.

I still have alot to do towards gw2 HoT, I’ll admit I am also disappointed that we didn’t get some sort of cosmetic update in makeover kits but I understand the team has been busy & who knows, maybe there was a glitch or a bug & they went to repolish the new hairstyles?
The only reason I do spend $$ for anet is for when we get new hairs/faces otherwise I just don’t have much of an interest in anything else gemstore wise.

Yes, I want new hairs now!
I have been saving my gems jsut for makeover kits for when we get new hairs.
There have been some hairstyles that are in the works, have been for awhile now.
The human females will get some ancient greek-looking hairstyles(bc they were leaked due to a bug in infinite hairkits) & everyone else, idk.
I’d imagine they’ll come out soon.
Usually every 4-7 months we’d get some new cosmetic change in hairkits/makeover kits.
With all the HoT bugs, they probably have pushed some things releasing back until certain bugs are fixed.

Just did a pvp conquest challenge with 2 other guild mates, the goal is to get a personal score of 300 or over across all teammates & you need 3 or more people to participate – Well we achieved that easily and won but yet we still had the challenge timer going as if we hadn’t even pvp’d. We assumed once the timer counted down to finish, maybe then we’d get what we needed but no, we still got nothing.

So I’ll go ahead and assume this is a bug, since we met all requirements if not above.

As you may have known for awhile some have been leaked due to a bug with the infinite hair kits, These are now hopefully cleaned up & updated.
They come somewhat greek-styled with the headband which is cool! They’re pretty for coming off unfinished.
I’d imagine the flowers somewhat relate to HoT & the jungle/forest.

What are you looking forward too in the new gw2 hairstyles?

(also, in the guild hall; the female asuran miner has a possible new Asuran hairstyle)

This is the 100% way to get the bladed top, now actually follow it carefully.

-Get an organized map for Tier 4 Night time

-Make sure when you have to defend the rally points that 0 fall & you take almost all of the rally points AND upgrade them.

-Escort the Pact Soldiers AND get them to the camps.

-Three to Four people at every rally ONLY, no more than that! Two defend, the others upgrade/escort

-Kill all nighttime canopy bosses BUT there still needs to be people escorting AND guarding camps.

-Constant communication in map chat, all mentors and commanders on deck.

This is the 100% way to get the bladed top IF you have T4 by the end.

This is not pertaining to me but I want to help out my friend, she was defeating the axe master when she Dc’d – We hit T4 & with 10 seconds to go, she whispered me asking me what she should do, she lost her participation & was forced onto a different map when she logged back in. I told her to take my party invite & join my map & to report the bug, literally as she joined the map we all recieved our Bladed Armor chest box, but she did not. When she had rejoined our map, she had no clue what had jsut happened- but said she still had her 200% completion. I asked her if she got her chest, she said no.
This was devastating for me. Here she participated throughout the entire event & lost her chance by being a second late. She dc’d 2 more times, crashing really- forced into character select as I was told. So, I’m sure it’s best if she reports this which I told her too, but she keeps crashing while she is filing out the report. I just want answers for when this happens to people.

She even told me she didn’t care about the rewards, she jsut wants to be able to finish something.

This thing is too hard to get. I can’t get into maps anymore that aren’t HP farming, they don’t care about T4. We can’t even get past T2 anymore due to the lack of participation. I even try to taxi people in, but noone joins.

They need to make this bladed top easier to get when this crap happens.

What about when you lose your participation due to a bug crash? What then?
Why in the kitten did they make this coat gated behind T4 when you can’t even get T4 anymore? I’m so tired of this.

Let’s all get tier4 for a very small chance at getting an armor piece that isn’t ascended or legendary!

It’s a guarantee drop if you make the map 100% secure at night. To do this you need to kill all the canopy boss mobs. Everyone on my map got one when we did a maximum security upgrade at night.

It is not a guarantee drop. I’ve done 2 Tier 4 night maps fully complete. We even had time to spare & I had 200% completion & noone in my map had it :/

I’m sorry this has happened to you some people in my guild just blurted out the spoilers which caused a few of our members to leave. Like they’d say “OMG I can’t believe so-and-so did this!” it is infuriating how little consideration people can have.

Funny that, I’ve done a total of two T4 200% runs and gotten the coat box each time. I was actually asking my friends after the run today if it ever dropped anything else and no one really knew, they all also got the coat boxes.

I’ve been playing since beta and have never gotten a precursor drop and I’m currently at over 700 days straight of slaying maw, claw of jormag and shatterer without getting their collection item drops, so I know I’m not lucky.

Then it is a complete RNG thing. I’ve done about 15 T4 maps now, 200% completion. Noone has said theyve gotten it, we would ask them to link it too if they did & nothing. I have terrible RNG btw

Do I use it? Yes, in HoT when we don’t have enough commanders or the commanders think we’re all mind readers in a zerg mindset.

I’ve been doing nothing but VB since Friday, HoT release, and have made enough Airship Parts to buy the entire Light and Medium sets, have been on a bunch of T4 maps as well as completing the map itself and still haven’t gotten one coat box.

Being a bit rare is alright but this is kind of ridiculous…

I feel you there, I’ve so far gotten numerous T4 until recently, one of the itzal quests are bugged where you bury the eggs – It’s hard to describe how frustrated one can be after trying to organize something that ends up being a fluke because somehow thinking of doing a better job than last time, just might get you the reward… but it doesn’t. I mean you do get a reward at the end of a Tier/day/night timer but it’s never anything you’re going after. Like the Bladed Armor coat box.

I agree it should be a tier 3 chance reward. I foresee tier 4 getting harder and harder to get the further down the road we go, simply from people going elsewhere.

I don’t really see it getting harder, unless people get their HP/masteries from that map & are done with it entirely or just become fed-up with trying to get the bladed armor top & move on to other things.

For those of us who have already gotten our elites, HP, masteries most of us seemed to have turned to GRINDING the Bladed Armor Top but are getting let down after almost 2 hours (not counting how much time those of us have actually spent trying to get this item) of grinding for an armor skin that ONLY drops if you have T4 with 100-200% participation, and half the time the events are bugged which denies you of the reward you’re working towards.

The Leystone top can be obtained as an actual reward that you seemingly don’t need RNG for, why not make the Bladed top either purchasable by the vendors for 5000 Airship parts OR make the bladed top a possible drop on Tier 3, and a guaranteed drop on T4 OR even attainable by one of the 5 canopy bosses? Or by defeating ALL of the canopy bosses, by meeting all of the requirements one gets the Bladed Chest reward! The RNG for this piece is extremely low, but I’ve seen now that when it does drop, many people do obtain it when in the same instance.
Regardless, the drop is still very low. Which makes you want to work for something you more than likely will not get. I see what you did there anet, it was to keep the map populated by having us actually organize events, which is great! Getting away from the ‘zerg’ mind is a nice change tbh. But who’s to say that the map will be empty when everyone gets this top? I really don’t think it will. People will always be after materials in certain maps, the Events ARE fun. But the RNG for this Box is………………………………. sad.

I know some people haven’t really thought much of this, and don’t see the big deal & think when it happens, it happens. Which there is nothing wrong with that, everyone plays @ their own pace.

HoT seems more Grindy imo, maybe it’s just me. A grindy jungle. A grindy jungle where noone wants to cooperate to get anything because they still have a zerg mind. A grindy jungle that is a giant maze, it makes the labyrinth look like sesame street.

I completely agree, the drop is too low still. But when you do get it many people get it in the same map. Yes, the drop rate needs to be increased, otherwise I don’t see people sticking around for trying to get a T4 map.

T4 is impossible to get with all the NPC bugs Anet.
Why should we keep doing VB events to get this low drop RNG coat if all the events are bugged?

I feel you there, Plus people still have a zerg mind, they think they call all rusht o 1 event & win- this will take forever to get down & for multiple T4 maps to be done because of bugs & lack of people cooperating.

There needs to be a 100% sure way to obtain the top, something where if you fail T4, you can get the Coat another way.

I don’t even mind RNG but make it like you need 50 (insert token name here) and each meta event awards between 1 and 3 tokens. However, if you get 200% participation there’s still that small chance of getting it. At least every time Im disappointed that I didn’t get it I can be happy about working towards it. Or add it to the vendor and make it cost 5000 parts. Give us a guaranteed way to get it eventually.

You couldn’t of said it better! A guaranteed way of getting it would give me security when the events bug.

I agree, with all the bugs- there needs to be an easier way to get the coat. Anet, when the events bug- 2 hours of grinding makes it all pointless, ontop of the fact it may or may not drop even if we get a T4 map. Make the coat a drop from a boss achievement please.

The Itzal event where you collect wyvern eggs & bury them is not activating once all eggs are buried.

12 hours / 4 days in the verdant brink. None of them can do it

I’ve done 2 diff instances already 4 T4 daytime maps, 2 T4 nighttime maps, noone has gotten a blade chest drop with me yet but intime I assume. Just needs organization.

It was a Bladed Coat Box inside the side chest, I believe everyone with max participation got one and the map was capped.

You aren’t for sure if everyone got one? It could of just been you. If everyone had gotten the Bladed Top in your map, Then I’ll put this all to rest & help confirm the drop location & such.

I wonder if there is a higher chance @ nighttime but I did a Successful T4 nighttime event in the same instance as the daytime which was also successful & noone got anything, So it still drops extremely low. Thank you for the picture by the way & congrats!

I’ve never intentionally tried to enter any meta event. I’ve especially never tried to get a specific type of loot from any kind of event. In just casually playing over the weekend I ended up with two pieces of Bladed Armor. I also had a ton of fun the whole time since I wasn’t disappointed at not getting anything specific. Quite the opposite, I apparently got two pieces of kitten armor! Every bag was something new, not something I didn’t get.

You can get pieces of the armor from story as far as I know, I just have the headpiece & gloves from pvp – But For the casual members of my guild that want the armor, it’s like they avoid most of the meta events in HoT because it’s either bugged or it takes 2ish hours & by that time they’ve had enough xD I assume when they’ve had enough of something, it’s not as fun as it was or they’re fed up until it’s fixed- HoT is still fun for me! There is still alot I have yet to explore – I’m not a casual player though & I enjoy the items I get when I already don’t have it. I’m glad you’re having fun :’D

For the people who aren’t casual players like myself, & farm events for certain items- it can be understandable when after hours upon hours you don’t get X item. Like farming for a precursor drop. That could take months & that’s fine. But this is an armor piece that practically doesn’t seem exist, and to most (not all) non-casual players that try to get it after hours upon hours & it doesn’t drop- you start to kinda wonder.

Even if they don’t add it to the vendor, it’s like the SW event – where you can only buy 5 pieces of the carapace armor & the vinewrath drops the last piece, the chest. BUT noone has proof, or ANY information as how to get this piece truly. The bladed armor chest if it drops at all, drops way too little. When I help lead events, it’s in hope of getting the Bladed top- nothing else. Many people feel the same, my entire map was pulling for a bladed top chest, we were hoping someone would get it so we could confirm & be encouraged to keep helping & farming events, but noone did get it. So, until something is changed & it’s made to drop more frequent or made so that ANY boss specifically drops the bladed chest box, I’d think many people are just about done trying to get T4. Aside from those that need HP & masteries.

I wanted GW2 to be a game that had underwater content. But alas, it does not. They even advertised it in one of their 1st videos ever released, almost as if there was a completely other world to be explored, but there isn’t.
It’s a massive shame that really could of set GW2 high on the bar, more so than it is now.

This is the stupidest thing I’ve seen, I been trying to get that chest piece since HoT dropped and to know I’m limited to stupid RNG, this only trashes my hopes even more. Why wouldn’t they’ve added it to the Itzel lore vendor? The rest is there, it doesn’t make sense. ADD UNIQUE rewards to these bosses. I am sorely disappointed I won’t be getting this chest piece in the near future. OR better suggestion is to make it part of a hard to get achievement, that I can deal with this is..just terrible. I have no confirmations of people getting it from the events either.

You can get the Aether Chest from a certain boss, from beating him/her you immediately get the reward- Bladed top should be this way but it’s not. If you have bad RNG, you will never get it. For players who can’t get on for more than an hour or so, will NEVER get this top. I have people in my guild that have terrible RNG & they’ve been playing since launch & they have YET to get the carapace top from the Silverwastes. So that just tells you, I suggest moving on from trying to grind for this item, I’d imagine millions of hours & you ‘might’ get the bladed top.

What if it doesnt drop from the meta event? I havent seen or heard from anyone (with proof) that has it. If you look at the itzel masteries there is one called Itzel Leadership. It says that you gain the ability to challenge their enemies champion to “claim a valuable prize”. Maybe thats how you get the chest?

For the people who have the itzel mastery, they believed the same thing, some of these people where charged with killing X boss because they had the mastery & got nothing but blues & greens & a crowbar.

Today I’ve spent at least 8 hours doing verdant brink event farms and only one of the maps managed to get tier 4.
Why is it exactly that the Bladed Coat Box is the only one from the set that can not be bought from the vendor? and must instead be acquired through hours of farming, the RNG wall and the tears of the innocent.

So yeah, it would be nice with some “other” hint hint way of acquiring the coat box <3

I read in another thread you can get it from a PvP track. I’ve not looked into this my self, as I’m still trying to get level two to access the vendor.

You can only get the gloves from PvP

It’s kind of like the Silverwastes event, when the carapace top came out, & the new living story came out, you could acquire the top from the story if I’m not mistaken.
So eventually, you’ll be able to get the bladed top from a new living story episode??

If not, then imo grinding shouldn’t be trying to get an armor. The bladed coat drops too less. Achieving T4 does not ensure you will get this armor, which I’ve actually given up on trying to get- 8 T4 maps, 200% completion on almost all & no bladed anything? Yes, I’ve given up.

I believe when the carapace came out, you could also get it from Living Story for vinewrath, if HoT is anything the same, one of the story episodes will reward you with the bladed Coat.

I think the drop rate is extremely low & gated very poorly, trying to get a map with bugged events to tier 4, So far I’ve managed to get 8 tier 4 maps now. NO bladed armor Coats. Nothing bladed actually.

Anet, could you please make it drop 100% more & make getting tier 4 worth it & not another grind fest? This is an MMORPG not LoL.

Make the blade coat accessible by story as well, If I want to get the bladed armor set achievement, guess what Anet? I can’t because you made it such a low drop- I’ll bet it will takes weeks of grinding just to get a bladed chest box, because you don’t only just get a bladed chest box from a T4 map- you might get a piece you don’t even need, like boots/gloves/ etc. if you have the others unlocked already.

Make the Coat more accessible please! Show us you’re listening about this piece.

Daytime T4 map, its impossible to get nighttime T4.

I’m really discouraged with this “participation” thing. It doesn’t up your odds of getting the coat, I’m not sure what it does. Because everyone gets the same loot whether you have 10% or 200% you get the same loot it seems like. It isn’t worth trying to get 200% when you get another loot box full of greens.
