what about removing the 1% condition duration and add a “increase range with bows by 10” if you trait 30 points into marksmanship your range will be increased by 300 for both bows

with the patch lightning reflexes will remove immobilize so you will have a strong option vs entangle and longbow warriors.

i love both bows but always need either the GS or the sword for the extra survivability and movement

-Don’t even think of using GS#2, that super telegraphed skill will land 1 :10.

LB#3 → weapon switch → GS#2 ( superior sigil of intelligence on the GS )

Riverside – Kodash – Baruch Bay is looking pretty awesome this week!

if you break the points down into ppt and non ppt the statistic is very interesting

ppt points only:
1. Baruch – 109828
2. River – 108767
3. Kodash – 94910

kodash is way behind the other 2 servers because of the weak coverage. it is very hard to defend wooden towers at our prime time

points from kills:
1. Kodash – 60807
2. River – 50225
3. Baruch – 49735

this is where kodash shines. we always habe 2-3 ruins and all the smallscale roamer and havoc groups do an incredible job, even after losing a lot of our most famous smallscaler and havocs to eso.

baruch and riverside are pretty even in their performances.

Power rangers are just asking to die. To pretty much anything.

i can handle everything with my power ranger spec if we are equally skilled as players. thief is one of the easier enemies. full bersi warrior the hardest coz i cannot maintain the distance i need.

I would love to get people thoughts on what stat combinations they would like to see added to the game?

i came up with something different, something “special”. why dont you implement empty armor with stat slots. these could look like:

legendary armor ( total stat poll: 288 – breastplate – same as ascended armor):
Type 1 || primary 106 || secondary 76 || secondary 76 ||
Type 2 || secondary 96 || secondary 96 || secondary 96 ||
Type 3 || primary 82 || primary 82 || secondary 62 || secondary 62 ||
Type 4 || secondary 72 || secondary 72 || secondary 72 || secondary 72 ||
so on ( dont know if 1stat and 2stat combinations would work balance wise )

to fill the stats in, one way would be with a drop down menu ( the boring soloution )
the second idea is to implement a new crafting profession that can create stones with stats. these stones will be fit into the armor slots.

EG:
major stone of power
minor stone of power
major stone of presicion
minor stone of presicion
major stone of toughness
minor stone of toughness
so on

now when you slot a stat stone into the legendary armor the right amount of stats will be calculated. a great amount of new builds will become available.

this is from a wvw roaming perspective. with the upcomming new GM trait ( Nature Magic: Survival of the fittest – Remove two conditions and gain fury when using a survival skill. ) will ranger have the most potent condition remove ingame? i remember all the whining about warrior not being sustain enouth and anet boosted the class a little to much. will this new buff for the ranger have the same impact like the warrior buff?

Stability makes the game too easy, limiting the player’s skill at dodging CC… not to mention that professions such as engineers, necromancer, warrior, ranger and guardian can not stall once on the ground (about to die), because enough to have stability and died.

I propose to reduce the time of stability at 2-4 seconds of basic utilities, or because they see certain traits … that activate it for 8 seconds, even when it may increase with duration boon is disheartening.

PS: I use warrior with build condition and I have 30 seconds of stability, is it seems normal?

it is always the same with ranger weapons and utility skills. they all need GM traits specced to be viable. i would have never think of a build with 3 survival skills. now we have a new GM trait to boost them. we face a non condition using enemy and will become totally torn apart. ranger can be the strongest 1on1 class, but where is always just 1 counter build we can use. warrior for example has some very strong builds that work in so many situations, it is just ridicules.

im glad i play a op ranger and never had any problems in 1vs1 – 1vs5 situations. my bear soaks all the dmg while i can stay still and pew pew with my longbow

Read the Wind - my two alternatives

hello fellow rangers,

like in a few posts mentioned, the “read the wind” trait sounds very underwhelming. i play my ranger for around 2 month with longbow / sword axe exclusive and have no problems hitting moving targets. the problem a ranger with a longbow is facing are lack of condition remove and lack of gap openers, which are necessary to survive and do damage.

i have come up with 2 alternatives that i think, would fit a lot better and are worth a grandmaster trait

Close Quarter Archer the damage reduction when close to your enemy is off

Quickly Pull the base attack speed is increased by 20-25%

Chill i personally think is okay, No one really has enough access to it to really it a game winner. Immbo on the other hand is simply broken. They really need to add Diminishing Returns to this game for CC and Immbo.

my ranger ( 50% condition duration increased in wvw):
4,5sec chill every 10 seconds on weapon swap
4,5sec chill every 10 seconds on winters bite
4,5sec chill every 20 seconds on chilling slash ( F2 skill owl ) with malicious training traited

-40% condition duration buff food can help a little

10 sec you have the best condition removal in the game (Healing Spring – even works on AOEs which reapply conditions). The next 20 sec you have the worst.

ranger is the best class for healingpower as a stat. your main heal + sigil + regeneration + beastmaster grandmaster trait, they all profit from the stat. you can achive more than 2000hp/second with troll urgent and the elite spirit. no other class is as potent in self healing as the ranger.

im running LB + s/a atm. the pull does up to 11k dmg ( 1hit when the axe travelles to the target and up to 2 hits when travelling back, each hit for 3,6k dmg ) thieves that run direct to you are easy prey. axe5 is good for staying on downed ppl or defence wise when a lot of range dmg is incoming

axe mh is only viable in a condition or hybrid build.

You cant change your build to each enemy in WvW ……..

i know. that is the only problem the ranger currently has ( + missing aoe dmg ). only thing i do is to change 1-2 utilities and maybe a weapon and bufffood, depending on the enemy i spot on the horizon

If you can’t survive with a Ranger you’re doing it wrong.
If you think they have the same range as other professions you’re wrong.
If you think they can’t tick 16k with Rapid Fire you’re also wrong.

16k with rapid fire? you must have zero defense dude, or perhaps you hit a upleveled player, ofc, you can kill Upleveled player with a ranger.

It is a fact that , when both players have same skill, ranger class is the worst.

I don’t think engies or rangers can hit the same raw numbers, but engies make up for it in other ways, and rangers have that whole pet thing sapping their damage.

12-16k with maul is possible ( one trick pony )

WvW - Three Likes & Three Hates

i like the overall package. matchups, scoring, place for all kind of gaming philosophies, 3 factions, build and support diversity, ruin buff, keep attacks / defenses

with a few little tweaks the overall gaming experiance could improve a lot. the current main issue is the so called “karma train”, the main reason for this is that it is to easy to capture a keep. the is no challenge behind this.

con:
- most reward for least effort. 70man smashing on a keepdoor and open it in less then 30 sec, without the need of a ram. everybody gets full reward ( should scale down with more ppl involved in the siege). also something like the upgraded doors should be imune to non siege weapon dmg ( implement a portcullis ) to slow down the attacker and give the defenders time to reinforce.
- the way wxp is gained. a player should be worth a fixed amount of points. when the player loses a one on one the guy who won should gain full reward. if 5 people zerg down one, the reward should be split down in 1/5th / attacker involved in the kill. same for camps, keeps ect.
- the way cc is implemented makes it difficult to fight a larger group. you bring 1 or 2 stun breaker and the enemy group 3-4 skills that apply these effects. the result is you ending in a stunn/cc chain without a chance to do anything. an imunity timer after you have became cc’ed 2 or 3 times should apply and make you less affected by cc effects.

instead of new class, i would prefere something like a second tier class. eg:

ranger: beastmaster or archer
warrior: berserker or lanzer
guardian: paladin or dark knight
mesmer: illusionist or mentalist
necromance: lich lord or summoner
elementarist: theurg or runecaster
engineer: constructor or rifleman
thief: assassin or raider

level cap will be increased to 90 and you get an additional trait line with a passive skill and one active to choose from a list of, lets say 5 traits. the 10 additional trait points you earn can only be applied to you new traitline. the individualism comes from the 5 traits you can choose from. you dont gain any additional stat points from increasing your level, the only way to become a second tier classman is with a new quest line.

every class brings 2 new utility skills and 1 new weapon with unique skills( eg. spear for the lancer class )
