we still have perma fury, might, swifness and reg for the group, heavy cc, good dmg without loosing to much surviability. totaly op kite skills ( yesterday we had a group fight ( we 5, them 10 ) i kited 5 ppl while my mates killed the first 5. after that we killed the rest.
ranger is in much better shape then everyone in this forum seems to realize
healing spring will remove 1 condition every 2 seconds ( huge buff again condition spikes ). horn 5 for additional 1500 group heal, pet blast finisher for another 1500 …. look at the ranger as a ranger and not as an archer.

when i see a thief at the horizon i’ll swap 1 utility for it. in “normal” situations i will not.
I have no idea how many players play PvE exclusively vs WvW exclusively etc. I’d like to think that any overlap between the playerbase favors WvW though, but I couldn’t tell you. All I know is the PvP (PvP + WvW) community has been let down big time for 3 months now. No information has come out. Bloodlust is a bust. No class or balance changes in months. etc.
460.000 player average online in gw2. 48 server * 300 ( 3 factions ) * 4 ( 3x border + eb )
= 57600 max players in wvw online at the same time, if 100player / server / border is correct.
12,52% of the average online playbase is able to play wvw

rework sword 1 and axe 1. thats enough. rest can stay as it is. ranger is such a brilliant class.
sword 1: i would love to see it like the warrior sword1 mechanic.
axe1: if there is no second enemy around the axe could jump back to you, apply a boon and jump back again to hit a second time.

no real access to aegis or protection without allies
Master Trait - Companion´s Defense – You and your pet gain 2 seconds of protection when you dodge roll.
[b]Adept[/B] Nature’s Protection – Receive protection for 5 seconds when you take more than 10% damage in a single strike. This effect can only trigger once every 30 seconds.
in my case its 7.5 + 3 seconds(first dodge) + 3 seconds (second dodge) of protection. with 13 sec protection, 21000 hp and 2900 armor i brawl with every thief or warrior in my radiation field and win them all
you have 3 ways out of your spawn camp on every map, use one of the not camped.
the root is great for 100b + eviscerate in wvw
i run something similar to your build with 60% boon duration. i dont use spirits because i prefere the regeneration and swiftness buff for my group and the combo pet finisher if i cast “guard!” in a combo field. thats pretty awesome healing on demand for the whole group.
lorewise sylvari have only one name. i like the rest and so you suffer a -2 for the second name

dont forget to say that condition dmg ignores your enemys toughness/armor.
muddy terrain, lightning reflexes or the signet that removes conditions. alle 3 are viable alternatives for the radiation field. but nothing has the power of the field. i never never never ever want to loose this strong debuff machine.
axe/torch are ranged. torch 4 has a range of 1200, thats more than the shortbow has. i see myself as a mid range fighter and i do very well. sure there are builds out there that can beat me, but in an 2on2 we have never lost in the past 2 months. the support+sustain dmg are send from god in a small scale group ( 2-5 ppl )

SAB box is great. i havent played it for the achivements or the items but for the challange and the nostalgic feelings it gave me. about the rest, i dont care either as a wvw player
2-3 month ago ranger was by far the strongest wvw roaming class. now it is still in the top 3.
if i were you, make a asura coz the racial skills are the strongest and synergize well
bester ranger wvw build atm. suites my playstyle very well and your group will kiss your kitten .
remove X as well as Y means you remove both, X and Y. english is not my mother tongue so im curious if my translation is wrong.

will they give us a new trait instead? i dont understand the meaning of this so called bugfix. this trait is the only support we can bring to a group. to remove that is absurd
4x traveler in my group support hybrid build. i use the rune to achive 50% condition duration and 60% boon duration for perma regen and swiftness uptime. perma might 10+ on me and my pet, 24/28 sec fury for 46% crit chance. when i ask what i have to bring to our group, warrior? guardian? or ranger? my guild always preferes my ranger. we run in a setup of 3-8 ppl

no because i have 0 points in the beastmastery traitline. with natural healing the perma healing / sec would increase by 44,3 (133/3sec, no healingpower scaling)
oh and my healing power would increase 1000 → 1300
= 1270,8 HP / sec

sic em has a uptime of 10 sec with a dmg increase for every hit. i think arena will bring something like every hit will stack the revealed “condition?” ( condition duration increase work or not ) with every hit for maybe 2 sec. with this buff and a ranged pet thiefs will have a hard time
my ranger heals for 1500/sec with 1500 condition dmg and 3100 armor + 22000 life with perma 50% endu reg, evade on sword 2 and 3 and perma protection uptime. it is nearly impossible to kill me 1on1. healingpower is great on rangers
when the attack of the ranged pet is already flying it will hit. sick em + black widow will become pretty nasty

well considering that wvw is not a roaming based game. …
wvw and gw2 is a “do what ever you want and like” type of game. if you like to fight players, fight players. if you want to bang your head against wooden doors, do that. and if you want to look cool and have massive drops and gold on your bank do dungeons and pve content. if i was a game designer the wvw part would become very unattractive for 90% of the current playerbase. no wvw rank, no ae limit, no upscaled player. it would become a raw pvp type of game with sieges that give you a good feeling of kicking your enemys kitten . that is all reward that is needed.

Nerfing Nature’s Voice will be the final nail in the coffin on this game for me.
increase the range for add stability would be a welcome change
lots and lots of small scale fighting in hopefully even numbers. that is all the reward i need. my place will be there for the next months
edit: you dont have to wait all the day on the capture point, just for 2 minutes ( 3 ppl on 3 sports ) and then roam from point to point and decapture you enemy points to prevent him from getting the bloodlust buff

YES – the way it is obtained is aboulute fair and achiveable for every side with a little affort and coordination.
But, sadly, there are no other ways to rank servers. It’s ppt. It’s going to be ppt even in the new league system.
strong roaming groups with the bloodlust buff can make the difference after the next update. no offence, but i see some major problems for vizuna. your open field performance was all bad what i have seen. other server with stronger open field players and weaker ppt organization will close the gap to you. the next weeks will show if it is enough to overtake you. im looking forward to our next matchup in the league.
the current is still very enjoyable. your ppl are all fair and dont use stupid emotes when they catch you after a furious heist
i really enjoy this matchup a lot this week. AG has a lot of great small scale roaming ppl and when the zombies outman you like 15on5 it is also fun and a little challenging. the only problem i have is that they dont have to run so far to retreat to their keeps coz they own every one
one more tweak:
fix wxp gain. give everything a fixed amount of points like:
-player: 150
-camp: 400
-Tower: 2500
-keep: 8000
-stonemist: 20000
when you kill an enemy player you get the full 150 wxp, when you kill a player with 24 friends you get 6wxp. that would represent the amount of hard work you had to invest. when you fight in even numbers 25vs25 you gain the same point that you would get when you fight with even numbers in a smaller or lager scale.
what you solo a tower you get 2500 wxp, with a 5 man group 500points ect ect.
that would give the playerbase a reason not to run with the zerg. they can choose. play save and lose a little reward or play risky, in a smaller scale, and become rewarded.
i have to say that i really enjoy the matchup so far. great battles on all fields. keep the spirit up!
i dont know what to drop for the signet of renewal. lightning reflexes is a life saver in 5vs5 situations when you have the enemys attention ( and you will have them often coz ranger is still considered a soft target ). when i roam solo i often use pain inverter, works still pretty good for me but i will gibe the signet a chance for the group condition remove.
in the end i support my team the strongest the longer i live. last man standing always win.
i have fough many ranger with a spec like the one you posted, i have never lost to a single ranger yet. the shout is not to buss just me, im not that selfish in our roaming group setup. i buff every one in my group and that with great success.

I like the weapons, but I’m kinda confused on why you would utilize conditions when you have a sword/horn combo. Both those weapons are better off power weapons.
horn is for the group support and the blast finisher with the fire field. also horn 4 is something like a panic triggerer for your enemy, he waste his endurance to evade the low dmg attack and you are ready to unleash your condition burst with axe2 and torch4
Also in my opinion short now would works so much better with condition duration because of its constant bleed when attacking from the side or the back.
i have a more defensive playstyle. sword is a movement and evade monster and has a nice poison for weaker healing
The axe torch just doesn’t have that much potential.
have you ever played a bm? i can take on 2-3 LB ranger at once

i have tweaked the build i use in wvw a little bit and want to share it with you. the build is made für group purpose in a size of 2-10 players ( modification for solo roam is to remove the horn and use dagger offhand ). spezial thanks go to hyjaxx for his re-port builds who gave me the inspiration for this setup. i hope you enjoy the ranger as much as i do. good luck and have fun with trying what i have came up with ( i dont insist to be the first who played this setup )
i would love to read your thoughts and ideas of maybe how to improve the build
