Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

Well tbh, I based it on word of mouth and this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/recruitment/FSP-EU-Where-are-the-roamers/first#post4308969
I didn’t mention Kodash because at least they still have roamers despite their rise.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Biggest blob Servers among the EU Gold Tiers I suppose are: Deso, SFR and FSP. Depends how you look at things without bias I suppose.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Do a barrel roll!
Lastly, thieves in general are one of the last (one could argue the last) class where you will find players roaming on full zerker builds in wvw still.
I’ve fought plenty of roamers who have been full zerk warriors and mesmers, even engineers although their zerk builds are inferior to their condi builds.
Yep, you can still get away with playing zerk while roaming, although it might be best to build a tad more to soak up some damage from all the focus or to disengage when necessary.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Desolation has a population of players waiting for a big occasion to happen, you can’t say SFR has ‘too’ many players once you see the queues we’ll have once this Tournament starts.
People weren’t complaining for the past two weeks which they lost and even came 3rd last week, I’m don’t really play for PPT though atm and I’m not a closet SFR fan (lol); I’m just giving an observation with as little bias as possible.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
It pays off to play in a way that makes you hard to keep a focus on, which makes playing a Thief that much more enjoyable, which also makes the complaints about us having ‘too’ much mobility all the more baffling.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Agreed, they shouldn’t allow transfers during the Tournament at least for a period.
It doesn’t go against any rules, wvw is not a serious competitive mode – in a 3 way war you can’t expect thing to be fair.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
This brings back memories..
Desolation is already stacked, it may not seem this way but, bring in our PVE pop and then the Fairweathers into the equation who joined recently; don’t be surprised to see hours long queues.. I imagine some players will be looking to transfer just to get onto a WVW map.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Now they they’ve announced the tournament, they should lock the servers down now to prevent any transfers. It shouldn’t affect PvE anyway because of the mega server system.
They said no lockouts. I guess that means you can hop servers and still get some of the rewards, maybe not the buffs from the Statues, but I don’t know.
It seems that the actual Ticket Rewards are quite underwhelming for a reason though.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
There will be still have major population disperancies which would make the PPT irrelevant, that is unless Anet comes up with a way to balance things out before the Season starts.
Or do they think the shorter duration will keep the majority of players fighting for the duration of the the tournament? Let’s say Desolation has hour long queues for the entire 4 weeks, tell me how is that good?
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
I think the playerbase is declining.
Tier 1 over here in the EU is where most of the activity is and the funny thing is; we’ve got the most amount of players who play off-peak during night.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Thanks for reconsidering and listening to the community.
Hopefully you will bring more changes to the Commander System in the near future.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Can’t wait to see which Servers/Tiers they allow Free transfers to so that people can stack on there to win the best rewards once again.
So they add a counterplay for ‘Normal’ Siege, but make Golem rushes tougher to defend while outnumbered? Makes sense..
I don’t find 20v20 very watchable either, I’ve watched a 10v10 and still generally the Compositions remained the same, but it’s far more easier on the eyes to clearly see what was going on, that format also allows a bit more diversity with Compositions if people dare.
It does take alot of practice together so that your group’s cohesion and Build Synergy is right. Still, GvG is what I’d call organized TDM to avoid interruptions out on the open field, but it’s no where near to being game where there will be be a Competitive Scene that I’d take seriously, that is anywhere near being top level PvP with the Profession Balance Philosophy as it is.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
I still play WvW alongside my Guild and any friends I’ve made on my Server over the past 2 years. Also I love running about the borderlands fighting some fights wherever I can, the combat system IMO is quite addictive and I still enjoy playing my Thief as my main.
2) What do you like least about WvW?
Coverage Wars and population imbalance. People who take WvW a bit too seriously and Bandwagoners.
3) What tier are you in?
Tier 1 EU
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
As far as I know you can hop onto another map if your queue pops, but I don’t think there are queues apart from during Prime Time on SFR.
Coverage Wars is pointless without any close Competition and reward, week in and week out.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
You have to be out of combat to travel, I don’t see a big deal as he’ll keep contesting either way.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Well I dunno like everyone else, but its true that the tags are purely cosmetic, it makes it pretty useless for the Gold you ask us to pay for these coloured tags.
They are essentially the same thing; just coloured with the chance of the same coloured tags clashing, if I’m not wrong? Why is there no option for Guild specific tags then?
Luckily there is enough time for you to reconsider and listen to the feedback from the wvw community.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Thief has too much mobility? Did you know a Thief that doesn’t stealth as much is all about positioning on a situational basis, otherwise we are dead meat?
Infiltrator’s Strike (which has limited range) already has a cast time which us Thieves complained about, but we adapted to the change accordingly, it is no longer spammable and took some getting used to when the situation needs it.
If you want to complain about Sword Thieves specifically you can’t complain about Evades aswell, you have to realize we are doing no damage to you, unlike under stealth we do not have the ability to disengage for Health regen, init regen and a condi cleanse – which allows us to re-engage into combat starting with a Backstab.
The idea behind the thief is to slip in and out of combat for a burst, like an assassin, we have to wait for init Regens unique to our class and cooldowns like everyone else.
We aren’t built like tanks either, warriors can do so much that other classes can’t while doing alot of damage along with plenty of CC.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Guilds and players have enough Gold to buy multiple tags already as it is; so you can use that gold to buy a different coloured tag I guess.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Small roaming groups who also do 5v5 scrims have much respect from me like Black Thunders from Gandara on the EU side, but that is rare nowadays in that format, you also have guys like [Buka] from Kodash. As for solo roamers the best place I’d consider to measure skill, is in the OS, but you have to remember some builds are hard to counter in 1v1 situations especially with the Condi Meta.
There are well coordinated roaming 5 man groups of course , there were alot more in the past like [JDGE] (especially when they were more active with guys like Osi), but rarely have I seen enough fair fights to measure coordination and individual skill of groups or solo roamers, as there is so much potential of others adding in and with the power creep – roaming is usually not on a level paying field.
Also everybody is not geared or specced for roaming, like what happened to me the other night as I was stalked by Roaming Thieves while trying to follow my Guild, the only reason I fight back is because they were annoying me; not because I am roaming.
Running with 10 seems around havoc squad numbers which I also rarely see, perhaps because of the rally mechanic. Anyway sorry for the long post, don’t just go by YouTube and by word of mouth, there are some roamers who aren’t that popular or well known.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Always expect something will be right behind you or just around the corner, even if your running solo they will, more often than not chase after you..
If you get fed up, hop into the OS – it’s fun in there with little interruption.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Yes, or even a counter AC before they bring reinforcements.
There is no arrow cart problem unless you don’t know how to counter, it’s almost impossible to defend outnumbered otherwise; especially against Golem Rushes or even Ram Rushes these days with Ram Mastery.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
I actually don’t think this will effect my play-style too much, but yeah as people mentioned – it’s the strength runes and duo Air/Fire Sigils that make that certain build seem like it’s OP.
I dont want to be a kitten but to people like amon it really doesnt matter that it wont affect lowlevel thieves, this change will hurt thieves immensely at top level pvp
So you are saying that everyone else is below them in perceived skill level, it means that their opinion is invalid? I don’t even play D/P that often myself, that together with SA is what makes it as if it’s on ‘Training Wheels’, but as mentioned Trickery is a different story.
S/D is hard to master, although now there’s a meta build that has less risk and more reward. I am just saying adapt or reroll another class otherwise, as usual.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)

You got a bad ‘roll’, it happens.
My point is EoTM is an alternative, there is no incentive to defend so you can make it as you want, the only problem is it’s just make it a Karma Train map unfortunately.
We can’t expect WvW to change how we want it without risk losing WvW and it’s purpose other than pvp of any scale, as pointless as PPT may be in most match ups.
Maybe make stomps count for more or something?

#believeInAnet? You are supposed to mail them the videos, read the first post, it isn’t that hard.. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=chs8QNB808Q
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
You don’t even need to take away siege as most uses it out of choice, I don’t see them taking out elements out of WvW just because people envision it differently, we already have EoTM if you don’t like the state of WvW and vice versa really.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
@furricaine If you want to solo roam it’s best to hop into OS for more organizezd duels, rather than expect players to accommodate to your style.
I miss Gandara or SFR even though they ‘zerg’ roam with 5-10 Gank/Havoc Squads.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side when you think it might be.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
NO, Servers should be given encouragement to keep fighting at least to keep WvW interesting for the duration of the week.
This is my own Server’s Match up: http://mos.millenium.org/eu/matchups/map/1765
Doesn’t tell the whole story though, as ER and JS have at least come out and fought when they can bring out numbers.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Read the text guys it isn’t tl;dr, so stop posting your vids here unless you are trying to gain viewers for your videos..
community@arena.net, using the Subject line “WvW video”.
Ready? Great! Submit your videos by August 12th by sending an e-mail to community@arena.net, using the Subject line “WvW video”.
No more Sword nerfs, maybe make larcenous cost less initiative, better condi removal outside stealth (unlikely), reworked venoms, and making some traits to actually be viable in their trait line .

I would guess anything from the beginning, No copyright music though is gonna be difficult though if you used licensed music back then (and no swearing etc)

As far as where FSP is ranked the only other Servers in the ‘Gold League’ with a good amount of roamers is Kodash and maybe Augury Rock, but not sure about the latter.
SFR does have Roamers although they like to ‘Zerg’ Roam. :P
In Desolation’s current match up there’s hardly any roamers, so it’s been a boring week for any Roamers on here.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
You could wait until Friday to see who you get on Reset as you have a chance of fighting Gandara.
Just as you say, the terrain and the long distances you have to run in-between with all the cliffs, NPC’s and traps, make it a map I don’t really enjoy.
It’s not a WvW map with a good balance or flow to it, hence why it is mainly a Karma train map IMO, so if you want good fights that makes use of strategical advantages – I’d rather spend my time in WvW on the Borderlands.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Well he does play during the hours where we at least have the most dedicated players. Unless he’s a European playing on the NA side atm?
It’s only one player so unless he has special powers, there’s np with queues .
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
I laugh to taunt my enemies and I laugh to poke fun at one of my guildies.
As mentioned you can turn emotes off or just ignore all the spam even though I’m guilty of spamming emotes myself, it’s just for fun though;; its nothing to be taken too seriously.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Something that isn’t obtainable by a majority of the playerbase, that isn’t like those silly LE Dolyak finishers we got from the tournament.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Once a few guilds start moving others follow suit for the sake of Competition as the guilds move tiers.
It seems to be happening here in the EU aswell, seeing as how stacked us T1 servers are compared to others. If we draw anyone else below us from the RNG hat, we faceroll them in terms of PPT and so there aren’t many fights off peak – especially late at night.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
Yeah it would have been nice to have more influence over things, the reason to be in a WvW Guild though is for Progression together in WvW, but there are Guilds that just recruit the best players as there is less patience to develop individual players nowadays – while the playerbase declines.
Apart from that there is the Social experience, which is much more personal if you run with your Guild rather than with the Community Choo Choo.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
We capped pretty much everything on reset night, its still summer and we have a big lead so I imagine it’ll be a slack week for most of the night crew.
I don’t know if anyone plans to run another choo choo as this misrepresents wvw to newcomers, we are waiting to fight SFR again.
(edited by CrimsonNeonite.1048)
EotM was their answer for the population problems I guess, in terms of Servers who are overpopulated at least – and as an alternative to your usual WvW maps.
I never said anything about being useless, you are taking things out of context when I just said ‘oh you are upleveled’ inside some other keep or something along those lines – which was not in a serious tone.
What I don’t understand is regular wvwers bringing uplevels when they have level 80’s, especially if they join the zerg against SFR’s melee train.
