It depends what you want to do.

Zerging:
Warriors are the strongest class, followed by guardians. Mesmers, eles, and necros are really important. The other classes aren’t too important. Should engis get aoe stability as rumored, they will immediately jump to crazy OP.

Roaming:
Thieves, mesmers, warriors, and eles are the best.

kind of disturbing how wars and eles made on both lists…<_<

i play from EU on IOJ, doing fine here, latency isn’t an issue really
- no queues outside small q on reset
- public server TS
- commander guilds, commander meetings etc.
- server actively supports wvw by participating, donating sieg/mats to commander guild etc.
- few big and small wvw guilds focused either on massive defense, zerg busts, helping karma train, ninja teams/roaming
- GvG, fight club
- decent oceanic coverage = people that play in simialr times as EU (from own experience)

despite us beng not top server we put up some fight vs SBI, rolled over NSP :P, winning vs CD and BP currently XD

i am playig on IOJ, it might be not t1 server and we probably would get rolled by half of the servers out there but i love it here

if you have issues with huge zergs, build in quality, aka zerg busts/good sieg defense/scout groups

small organized groups with right builds can do wonders vs blobs

i am kind of curious too:
1. what can we do about obvious trolls/saboteurs
2. what can we do about people obviously abusing glitches

like yesterday: i saw enemy thief keeping our keep contested, eventually i managed to get on group with him and saw him glitching inside our keep as well as saying on party chat that he glicthed inside

the problem is, even if i report him, he probably will just get warning…because he said he done it many times and was reported many times and nothing happend

or another example: my server has commander guild, entire server donates gold/mats etc. for wvw and it is stored in the guild, when wvw commanders need sieg they can take it out the bank for wvw… few days ago a guild xfered to our server, a person with commander tag joined the guild claiming he is wvw commander etc., next thing that happend is that he cleared entire commander guild and bailed… i somehow really doubt that despite multiple reports anything will be done about getting sieg and money back to commander guild nor anything about that player…

i saw a lot of trolls lately spaming random sieg when commander clearly said they don’t need it to save supplies

i see all of those actions as major griefing, what should we do now since support apprently doesn’t do anything about it?

I’d like to say good 2v5 fight against HK minus the poor player charr guardian. Was a good long fight even though you guys had the advantage of your spawn being nearby. XD

UPDATE: I found one of the HK thieves a part of the 2v5 and he wanted to duel. I’d like to share my experience with you.

was wondering how my rogue with warglavies and thunderfury was doing T_T

i can tell you why our guild xfered off our old server: it wasn’t because we got rolled on some weeks, it was because despite being very high populated server there was only 2 guilds (us and another) actually doing anything for wvw

entire server did absolutely nothing to support wvw guilds, not to mention we got trolled and laughed at a lot for asking people to join wvw even though entire server was profiting from wvw bonuses

i am sure one can still dig out thread made by our old server asking for some kind of compensation because main wvw force xfered off and they suddenly get completely rolled in wvw and don’t have wvw bonuses

as for devs listening or not: while feedback is important i believe majority of their descisions are based on numbers not forum feedback

other builds just don’t fit in current meta nor can compete in current state of game :/

I don’t think people understand why i made this post: it is not about eles alone

it is about the fact that regardless where you put sieg on the wall it will get killed before you can really do any dmg with it unless enemy doesn’t have eles/necros etc.

i don’t ask to nerf eles, i ask to do something about ignoring LOS and walls/sieg being kind of useless; i brought up eles as an example

either allow all classes to kill sieg on walls or make sure that no class can kill sieg so far from wall edge

SoS played horribly against Maguuma when we fount them the other week.

And we still beat you by 76k ponts, we also got 2 new NA guilds from then aswell.

This is a competition you want to lose. The winner gets to be stomped for 7 weeks straight in what will be the least competitive matches in season 1. Why would anybody want that when they will get their closest chance to a balanced match in silver league?

SBI needs to get a high ranked match up to eat their rating and go higher. Easy match ups don’t raise your rank as much as blow outs against top ranked servers. The RNG will decide who takes sixth place, but whichever server it is, the prize is uncompetitive matches for seven weeks.

The current SoS/FA/JQ match is an example of what the average match will look like for seven weeks if SoS places in the gold league. Let the egos play it out, the rest of us just want to enjoy WvW without the stacked zerg meta and the massive population imbalances.

Because any server below rank 6 gives boring fights. Show me a guild group that runs 20 every night outside of T2, and I’ll take it back.

I’d rather fight 25 vs 80 than 25 vs 5.

We tried this in City of Heroes…. One faction always constantly feels Kittened on while the other one always seems to get a better economy and larger teams.

In WoW, Alliance was notorious for just have like 2x as many players — even if Horde claimed to have the most “competent ones” …. which when it comes to a click-fest like that, isn’t actually saying much. That’s like pitting AngryBirds players against Bejeweled players while a few Meatboy/Darksouls players watch from the sidelines.

And sometimes it’s not even the good guys who have the population/gear advantage…. look at Counterstrike & ABP reloaded. … Or Planetside too if you consider the New Congolmorate to be the “good Ol’ America boys” and the other 2 to be weird Moonspeakin’ communist scientologists…

i still found it fun in CoH and WoW

they should fix bug that makes lord walk out of keep and stay outside…

Having been roaming our borderlands for the last 2 hours, I am now convinced you have never heard of it, so I figured I should let you know how it works, so you can save money. 5 Alphas and an Omega to try and knock down wooden doors must get expensive after awhile. They only cost 6 badges after all, and with a little fiddling you can upgrade them to the Superior Variety!

PROTIP: Superior Flame rams do more damage to gates then Alpha and Omega golems.

we farmed so many bags from SBI last week, we got more than enough money to flood entire map with golems :P

not only condition but also crit builds

sadly not every class works well with ptv armor nor has enjoyable playstyle with those stats

i honestly think they should make dot dmg like in wow, where every player has his own stack so to say and CC conditions (confusion for example) have diminishing returns so you can’t perma CC something to death

the problem with Teq is overflow… i spent more time trying to get into right map where organized group was than actually fighting him…

yeah sure, let me go and fight 10vs60, even if we somehow magically kill ele he will be just rezzed and do same thing again

what is the point of sieg anyway then if to defend tower i have to go against huge blobs anways since sieg gets destroyed instantly

if eles can do it, might as well let thieves shadowstep or steal on sieg, mesmers port, warriors hammer sieg etc. doesn’t sound fair of all sudden does it?

the only way effectively keep sieg and actually hit anything with it is hacking… not trying to advertise it here but it is main reason why people use hacks on first place

IOJ is not elite roaming server, it is just middle sized server with good community where people care about and support wvw, be it zerg vs zerg, zerg busting, GvG or fight club

you can’t really judge entire server skill level based upon very few people… want 1v1 skill lv? go to arena

as for CD players attitude, some of them start to act as SBI players: when they zerg down 2 ppl they start to spam emote and laugh yet they run for their life if they meet group of same size; saw exactly same crap from SBI, so zzzz

i suggest we all just ignore that guy and continue normal conversation:

looking at the score and some fights i have been participating in, i was wondering what happend to BP/CD population? it just doesn’t feel as massive as from SBI or like in the past when we faced you on DH; did you guys have ppl xfer off?

maaan i am soooo used to fight SBI now, every time i run in WvW i keep looking around for 70 man zerg >_< and then realize that we actually for once have decent match up

good fights, BP and CD have some good roamers too, GL to all servers
