i remember when i started to pvp in this game…everything was ok BUT kitten SCOREBOARD, i still find it sooooo confusing

The problem is the AI doing the the job for the players. Necros, rangers, mesmers and in some point engeniers abuse the AI in some point. That should be nerfed so people actualy do some PvP in PvP.

pvp = player vs pet woohoo

you ever through that the more you play the higher rank you have, the better players you face?

as for changing strategie etc, it takes time to get used but helps in long run

i think simpliest example i could bring is: years ago i used to play a game and never used mouse, just keyboard (what they call keyboard turner), eventually i hit the wall where good players would wipe the floor with me; i switched to mouse and got beaten even by worst players for first 2 weeks or so…once i got used to mouse i was killing players that were way way higher ranked than me

That doesn’t necessarily equate to overpowered. That could just as easily be word of mouth or hype.

possibly…but i do think it is silly how wars can hold point pretty much like guardian while dishing out absurd amount of dmg/CC

my friend plays war, i did quite some games with him and it is funny to watch how so many ppl try to kill him and can’t while i can pick off them one by one on my thief

i think in some game it took 5 ppl to kill him…that is just silly

In all reality that match up was over before we even got on FR allowed them to cap everything in their BL and hold it not only that but they were unable to push FSP BL. If all you care about is wining go stack on FA and get in a guild there. If you wanna play for fun stick it out with [SE] we do everything you said in your post we wipe zergs lol we did this all last night, we take and hold keeps I think we put up 3 or 4 wps this week, and we play to win hell we gave FR a 20k lead they blew it. once pve’ers got their archives, they will leave anyway…ppl who stays in wvw don’t need guides nor any specific help… we all were new to wvw at some point, we didn’t get any privilegues… why should pve’ers get any? they already get most love from anet

if your suggestions would actually get implemented, ppl will just abuse them and pve’ers and uplvs will just have even less motivation to adapt to wvw

yeah there is a lot of stuff that is broken right now. perma immobilize and perma stun is not fun for non warriors and then ther is regen warriors…. dont know why this is in the game even…..

Thief is A tier very least. I really don’t get why people think thief is weak in spvp. Do you ever watch for example high end tournaments?

thief has major weakness which is ironically stealth…why? because quite some dmg and almost all survivability is tied to stealth however you can’t be stealthed if you want to capture/hold point…

that is why thief is not S class

Organize a group who need the points, get some siege and supply and give it a go.

Alternatively, transfer to a “green” server for a few days. The transfer fees are pretty cheap compared to a precursor.

Aswell players don’t have collision – thief can just walk thru you and hit, and it’s not duel so i can’t keep my attention on tiny thief asura all the time.

should we talk about how right now you have to spec to survive warriors only since arena is flooded with them atm? or how they can do silly dmg w/o sacrificing too much survivability? if thief actually hit that hard it means he went full zerker, meaning he has like 11k+ HP and can be one shot himself

video describes exactly why i actually stopped playing legaue…i spent more time trying to convince ppl to stop arguing and actually play; heck i even ended up maining (Thresh/Sona ftw!) support since ppl hated to play it and i did carry myself out to some ranks but it just got extremely tiring to the point where it felt like working as a teacher in the school with problem kids…and i just wanted to play game for fun :/

on the topic: yes teamwork is OP, i had matches where the score was abysmal and there was no win in sight and yet we still won because team decided to listen for once and work as a team (oh the tautology)

it is not THAT bad in gw2 but community definitely needs to work on it

the problem with warriors is just how little trade off they have compared to majority of classes

and let’s be honest, the team that wins is not the one who killed/died most but the one that held points.. and wars are too good at it atm due to absurd survivability and CCs w/o trading off too much dmg…yes you may kill them eventually (if you manage to survive) but it takes incredibly long…right now fighting warrior feels like fighting bunker guardian doing close to zerker thief dmg

that is just silly, nothing i said was really that offensive

yes i am part of the guild and i understand your point, but i am free to do what i want as long as it is within forum rules

When you are listing the guild tag under your name, you are representing it and anything and everything you say reflects upon your guild.
If you knew which guild I was in/if you saw it under my name, it would also shape your opinion on my guild, despite them having nothing to do with whatever I say.

@ person from Tank: IOJ was great server, i loved it there a lot and i was one of the people who didn’t want to leave.. the problem wasn’t even oceanic; the problem was that at some point ppl on IoJ stopped to participate in wvw; on some days we could only get around 20 ppl in wvw across all maps… SoR and other servers (ironically FS was one of them lol) paid for guilds to transfer, or at least offered so the week before legaue was like a ghost town hence why we xfered

as for all the crap talk: let’s be honest, we all spawn camped at some point, we all ran away or fought at some point, we all had moments defending keep with 5 ppl vs 60+ or attacked unmanned keep with 60 ppl etc etc.; getting mad about it and talk crap is rather pointless and full of hypocrisy

Let’s keep this thread positive:
i am glad we got decent match up (sry UW :/) instead like pre-legaue t1 server vs t5 server crap, let’s be honest, at least match-ups are rather close and more enjoyable
i am glad french ppl are friendly to us and welcomed us on their server, ty guys;
i am thankful for all fights and bags from FR and UW;
i am glad i got to fight some good roaming groups this week and see some interesting tactics;
i was actually surprised not to see many zoomhackers this week;
i am really thankful that FR people actually participate in wvw and don’t leave maps look like ghost town

The only thing I really have a problem with this year (but honestly I still enjoy this activity the most), which maybe it’s just my memory being fuzzy or maybe the lunatics just know what they’re doing this year, the patrols and hammers don’t seem to do much this time around.

I vaguely recalled the imps in particular actually being a great defense, they could deal with a solo lunatic and it usually took a little later into the game where they had a better lunatic force to deal with the imps (at least 2 lunatics would have to deal with the patrols). I saw the veteran imp get summoned just as a lunatic came by and he just dropped like a wet noodle, he was instantly dead. The summons don’t really seem to matter this year.

It seems to be a similar case with the hammer. The only thing that works well is the knockback. The #1 is just a tickle at best.

The mobs were effective but only with villagers supporting them.

This year everyone has the idea to hide. They never win but never try to do anything else.

kind of hard to try anything when there are ghosts camping NPCs

My exp with pve’rs and wvw:
A few weeks ago we were in a match up with SoR, they had all of EB. There were only eight of us on EB, so I went to LA and asked for help. The response I got was “what happened, did SoR beat you and your buddies up, break your glasses, and steal your pocket protectors?”. That was actually kinda funny, but what wasn’t funny is that NO ONE came to help. So I know there might be some converts, but for the most part, screw them and their WvW achievements.

^^ that’s exactly how it was on DH… it is nice to see more ppl in wvw but majority of those are not helping nor gonna stay after they got archives….

hey tequatl requires 100 ppl coordinating on TS, won’t happen on wvw server…. let’s make it fair, nah?

i get few ranks every day, idk why someone would have issue with that archive

um….just because a person from the guild said something doesn’t mean entire guild is trash talking…

why would we want to move to gold legaue? sitting 3-4 hours in queue is hardly fun

as for me talking about chilling in t3 keep, it was harmless and ment as joke since FS had wp in our bay for entire day… who would have thought that people would get so offended…

xfer to FR was free, IOJ past 2 weeks barely even bothered to wvw anymore… trust me, not everyone wanted to xfer to FR or EU for that matter (myself including) and it was decided liteary on last min that we xfer as a guild.. what is done is done, i am thankful that FR are friendly to us; i do wish FS would be more mature and not turn into another SBI that is only good at talking crap
