“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
If a rare item is made available for sale in the Gem Store, it is no longer “rare”.
That’s true. But it should really be one or the other – either you pay real money and get a guarenteed sale, or you take a chance on a rare item. Not pay real money to gamble for a chance at a rare item.
Now you can make the quaggan mini pet in the mistic forge, combine 3 of any gem store minis and 250 stuffing.
Which is exactly what the OP was trying to do. They clearly said they didn’t get any of the 3 minis needed to make the Quaggan.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Okay… WHY do people have to abbreviate all the time? It is fine if you abbreviate AFTER you say one time what you mean. But PLEASE don’t assume everyone knows your abbreviations. (That would get more people to answer you when looking for groups, or trying to sell things too. Make yourself UNDERSTOOD!)
Now with that said, what is a “RNG box”? I want to know if there’s one chance in a million I will ever own Foostive the Merry.
I was working under the assumption that people reading this would have already read at least some of the previous discussions and would have come across the term before.
RNG box means random number generator box. Things like the Black Lion Chest or Wintersday Mystery Box where there are a number of possible drops and which one you get is determined entirely by a random number generator, usually with the most popular items having an extremely low drop rate.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The gold to gems price is high at the moment because we’re in the middle of an event (Wintersday) which encourages people to spend a lot of money in the gem store.
Wait until January and it will drop a lot. Not down to what it was at launch, but it will be a lot cheaper than it is now.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I made my main a human because she’s an adaption of the same character I use in everything and human was the best fit for her personality/looks. I also wanted her to be descended from my GW1 characters, who of course had to be human.
I also have one of each race though because I wanted to play them all. My favourites are the norn and sylvari because I like their personal story and personality. But I do like them all.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I doubt you’re going to get an answer from Anet – they rarely answer player questions and usually only stuff that relates directly to how the game works. In this case they might not even know, they might not have used Alienware software/hardware before.
I think you’d be better off asking on an Alienware forum because what you really need is someone who knows how their keyboards work, since this is something you will be setting up using their software rather than the game itself. At the moment you’re asking the relatively small number of people who both play GW2 AND own/have owned Alienware PCs AND use this forum and you could be waiting a while for an answer.
Although it might also be worth submitting a support ticket to find out if what you’re wanting to do is in breach of the EULA. It might not actually be a macro but it still involves extracting information from the game using 3rd party software, which is technically not allowed.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The part you’re missing is that there are two seperate sets of minis in Wintersday.
The ’toy minis – Ventari, Princess Doll, Toy Soldier, Plush Griffon and Golem are fine. You can make 2 of them using items from the dungeon and a 3rd using items bought from the TP plus the frame from the dungeon, then buy the last 2 in a straight sale on the gem store if you wanted to. Everyone could easily and clearly get the ones they wanted, or get the full set.
But there’s a second set – the Festive Golem, Snowman and Airship which ONLY come from the RNG boxes and are account bound so you can’t even trade any extras you get. You also need to get 3 extras to make Foostive the Merry (the Quaggan). Those are the ones I’m wanting to see changed for future events.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Whenver I store collectibles, minis disappear. Invis bags are not an option as they will destroy any inventory management due to silly automatism.
It depends on what your management system is. An invisible bag in the bottom slot works perfectly for me because I normally put all the stuff I want to keep in there anyway. So using an invisible bag just adds an extra level of protection where I can’t accidentally sell/deposit things rather than just making sure I don’t.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I think so. There’s a lot of bits and pieces like that around the world, and a jump puzzle is the perfect place to put it because the type of people who are likely to find and enjoy it are also likely to do jump puzzles.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
This is how said server would play out
1) 2000 people would jump on it, 1000 of them would make thieves and go to Lion’s Arch (assumed safe zone). Buy gems and level up to 80 in 4 hours doing crafting.
2) 500 of them would then scatter out to all the newbie zones and kill any level 1 that walks into the zone repeatedly giving new characters no chance to level.
3) Every subsequent new person would quit immediately, complain on these forums, and go back to their original server.
4) The servers population would be dead within 2 days of release.
This is pretty much what happened in UO. They started with all servers being FFA, then changed it so you could choose between a FFA map and a non-PVP map because so many people complained that the game was unplayable for anyone except PKers.
For a short time the only people in the FFA map were groups of PKers and newbies who didn’t know to switch over. Then they changed it so new characters started in the no-PVP map and the FFA one was dead.
I started just after that second change and I was always told never, ever to switch to the FFA map because there was absolutely no up-side to it. But when I got curious and did try it I never saw anyone. Why would I? There were no newbies to take advantage of and people who wanted to 1v1 or whatever could do it in the PVP arenas without risking griefers. Said griefers and PKers didn’t have enough victims to be worth their time.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I think the Lost Shores event got the acquisition of event minis exactly right and that system should be used for future events.
I was disappointed with the Halloween minis because there was absolutely no challenge in getting them, and that made them feel less special. (Technically there was a lot of effort involved, I had to work to earn the money I used to buy them, but it’s not the same as earning them in-game.) The Wintersday minis…well, just look at every single topic about them. It’s a terrible system.
Lost Shores on the other hand hit the perfect balance by providing all the options so everyone could do what they thought best. For those that don’t know here’s how you got them:
Option 1: Buy RNG boxes with gems and hope for a drop. It’s a terrible idea IMO but if people are willing to pay I don’t object as long as there is an alternative.
Option 2: Craft RNG boxes using in-game items. Can still be expensive but at least you don’t have to spend real money or an absolute fortune in gold>gems.
Option 3: As a rare drop from Young Karka. Obviously it’s extremely unlikely to happen but that’s part of what makes it exciting and therefore desirable. And it’s a good alternative for those who would rather grind than gamble.
Option 4: Buy it from another player on the Trading Post. This is the really important one IMO because it’s the one everyone uses as a back-up. You can take a chance on an RNG box and if all else fails sell the stuff you did get an use the money to buy what you wanted.
Obviously I don’t have access to the numbers to confirm it but it would not surprise me at all if Anet made more money from Consortium Chests (especially if you include people who bought gems to turn into gold to buy components to craft them and people who bought gems to turn into gold to buy the minis on the TP) than they are going to from the Wintersday Mystery Boxes, even though this event runs for longer.
Yes some people wouldn’t pay real money because they could just farm gold to buy the minis. But other people would spend more for a chance to get a mini to sell to those people. I assume Anet doesn’t care exactly who the money comes from. They’re never going to get an equal spend from everyone so they may as well target those who can afford it.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Agreed.
I don’t mind them taking up space in the bag, but it is incredibly annoying to have to remember to double click them again every time I go into a new area, or use a way point, or die or whatever.
Either a dedicated slot that keeps them displayed or an option to toggle them On/Off where when they’re on they’re out automatically any time they can be would be a vast improvement.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
They would need to add mounted combat. They would need to add places for this and redesign WvW around it. If that happens, mounts would be great, if not, no to mounts.
This is a very good point. With so many enemies scattered around mounted combat would be absolutely essential. Yes you can just run past most enemies but every so often you need to stop and fight at least some of them. In every single game with mounts and no mounted combat the whole process of stop, get down, fight, loot, get on, travel, stop, get down, fight, loot, get on etc. etc. gets so annoying that it puts me off using mounts unless I know it’s going to be a very long journey or they will provide some other benefit to balance it out.
And in GW2 you’d have to factor in gathering crafting components, speaking to NPCs to drop off collectables during certain DE’s, picking up those items in the first place, ways to get across all of the terrain that would be inaccessible to most normal mounts…
Basically the map just isn’t designed for mounts, in a lot of ways beyond way points and map size. You’d need to either completely re-design mounts or completely re-design the map and I don’t think either is worth it.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I agree that making them tradable would be the best solution. Those who spent a lot of money to get all the minis would be able to sell the duplicates and get at least something back. Those who spent what they could afford could swap the duplicates they’ve got for ones they missed out on and those who couldn’t/wouldn’t gamble at all can get the minis from those who did.
It’s not a perfect solution but I think at this point it’s the best they can do to sort this mess out.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
This is why I held off buying them. As soon as I looked at how the minis were acquired I knew both sets would kitten off collectors and after the controversy with the Halloween weapon skins (which I honestly thought Anet had learned from) I fully expected there to be changes later on.
Honestly even now I’d wait if you haven’t bought them already. It may come to nothing but it wouldn’t surprise me if they made more changes later on as well.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I suspect this may well have been something that was planned originally, scrapped and accidentally left in the patch notes.
Like the Wintersday Mini Trio which is apparently in database but was never actually added to the game. (There were a lot of bits and pieces like that in GW1 too, mainly irrelevant stuff like signs and a couple of crafting materials that were never used.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Welcome to NCsoft games. If you want to know what I think, Id say it will only get worse.
GW1 was an NCsoft game and it was never this bad. They had a cash shop, but it was always straight sales. Any RNG items were obtained for free in-game.
Sadly I doubt the situation here will change unless and until people stop buying those stupid boxes.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I haven’t tried the snowball fight or Toypocalypse yet but I’ve enjoyed everything else.
With the bell choir I’m just wondering, you said “i just dont see how you can click the buttons fast enough to get the all”. Do you mean you’re clicking the symbols on the screen with your mouse? Because if you are that’s probably your problem. I’m not sure anyone could do it that way.
You need to have one finger on each keyboard button (it helps if you reset them to the defaults so they’re in a line) and then it’s basically just a matter of mentally associating each colour with a finger so you don’t have to actually think about it, which can be done through practice the same way you can eventually stop thinking “I want my character to walk over there so I need to rotate the camera like this and press this button and then let go….now.” After a while you just do it.
Same with the jump puzzle really. I’m not that great with them, I’ve done this one twice after about 4 hours of attempting it, but I’ve found it gets much easier if you stop trying to think about and line up every jump. Just do it and trust that you’ll get it right. A lot of the snowflakes are close enough together that you can actually jump from any part of it and land on the next one.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I agree they should be tradable. That way everyone who wants them would have a chance of getting them. I don’t think it’d lead to lost sales for Anet either because more people who have the money in real life would buy boxes in hopes of getting one to sell.
It would also make people like me more willing to risk it. At the moment I don’t want to buy the boxes even though I want all the minis because of the high probability that if I do get ‘lucky’ I’ll end up stuck with useless extras (yes you can use 3 to make the quaggan, but if you get more repeats you’re stuck). If they were tradable it’d be a better deal because if I got, for example 2 golems I could sell one and use the money to buy a snowman or airship. Or swap with a friend who also has an extra.
I just don’t understand why, after all the complaints about Halloween weapon skins and Anet seemingly admitting it was a mistake and making huge improvements for future events they’ve just gone and shifted the problem to a different item. Did they really think it was only weapon skin fans who would hate this system?
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I doubt this means the end of one-time events.
I suspect they had the sense to realise that with it being Christmas a lot of people are busier than usually an unable to commit to being online at a specific time. I think that’s also why the event runs as long as it does.
I think it’s safe to assume there will be more one-time events in the future considering it was a big part of their idea for this game, just scheduled for times when they think most people will be able to play.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I actually don’t mind getting items from an RNG as long as I’m not paying real money for it. I’d even say I look forward to farming Lunar Fortunes each year in GW1 for a chance to get a Celestial Mini. (And for the record I don’t do it to sell them, I do it to get one to keep. Which is lucky because except for one year when I got 3 in a row I’ve only ever gotten 1.)
I also like that I know if I don’t get it I’ve got the option of buying one from another player. Yes they’re insanely expensive (although the price usually crashes by the end of the event) but it’s do-able.
What I do have a problem with is having to pay real money to play an RNG and having no other option. Which is why I’m trying for the bell and trying to forget about the festive minis.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The small, medium, large, giant, and personalized gift boxes all have an equal chance of dropping the endless tonic and the unbreakable bell. In fact, all of the boxes (excluding MTX) drop very similar things at very similar rates. The only reason there are different ones is largely related to crafting, so that lower level players can find and craft level-appropriate stuff from recipes and components.
Does that include the minis? I’d heard they only dropped from giant gifts so any time I had a choice I’d been choosing only the giant gifts and saving up the junk to buy them. It would be very disapointing to find out that trying to improve my chances was actually making me less likely to get one.
(And yes it does make it less likely, even if they have the same % chance. One 1% chance is less than three 1% chances.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I think some people actually don’t realise there is a chest. Twice now I’ve been in pugs and had a conversation that started with “Don’t forget the chest!” “What chest?”
Similarly I suspect a lot of people are forming parties who have little/no experience doing it before (since there’s not really any reason to unless you’re doing dungeons) and they don’t realise that if the leader leaves everyone else is kicked. They might not even know they’re the leader since the party window doesn’t really make it clear.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
They have not said if there will be additional cogs to be had after Tixx gets to L.A. All they’ve said is that the first five days will give you enough materials to make two of the minipets. That leaves a lot of days unaccounted for.
The way most people are assuming it works is that the first time you do each version of the dungeon, whether it’s on it’s day or after Tixx gets to LA, you get the frame and the cogs as a reward. Any repeat runs, either on the same day or in LA will give you presents instead.
If it doesn’t work that way I’ll be extremely dissapointed. My internet died the day he was in Divinities Reach and it didn’t get fixed until he’d moved on.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Agreed. I’d be happy with either of these and more than willing to spend money to get them in a straight sale as I did at Halloween.
Under the current system I won’t be buying any boxes, the risk is just not worth it, even after I decided I wanted to collect all the minis in-game.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I’ve found I ususally only get loot from one or two kinds of enemies, usually the ones where you have to kill a fixed number rather than claim a location (probably as someone else said to stop people staying in there farming the infinate spawns).
But at the end of it, as long as I look out for drops, I get a fairly typical amount of loot for the time I’m spending and the number of enemies killed.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I don’t know if it would help but have you tried turning the graphics down? It can sometimes speed up loading.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I agree completely that the festive golem, snowman and airship should be tradable. It’s crazy that people are being stuck with useless extras, other people desperately want them and have been unable to get them and there is no way to trade them.
I think it’s fair for Foostive and the frame minis to be account bound because you’re not going to get those by accident, and (if the other 3 were tradable) everyone who wanted one would have a guarenteed way of getting them.
What you guys dont understand is that doing this would cause Anet to lose a lot of money. By making them tradeable, there would be a massive amount of them put on the TP for a bit of silver at most. If this happens, who’s going to buy gift boxes from the store?
Im sorry that Anet isnt super duper jesus tier charitable but NO COMPANY WHO WANTS TO CONTINUE MAKING MONEY EVER IS.
Its as simple as that. You haven’t looked up Mini prices on the TP have you?
The Karka and Reef Drake around 30-50 gold EACH. If the minis out of the events chests (not the frame minis) were not account bound I can guarantee they would be up for 30-50 gold apiece.
The frame minis would run ~6 gold 50 silver because that’s the current cost of 350 gems. Post Wintersday the frame minis would likely spike up to 30-50 gold each as well because of no new supply.
This. Even the regular mini packs usually offer a better return than trading gems for gold (maybe not at the moment when the gem price has spiked, but normally). Minis that are only available for a limited time would be worth a huge amount. That would be a big incentive for people who can afford it to buy a lot of boxes to get minis they can sell to people who can’t afford to buy the boxes.
Then, eventually, everyone is happy.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Crafting two is fun. They are cute. Easy to get. A fine addition to the game. I would not grind for one, but given the amount of time I do put into the game I should get my fair share. Having said that lol, the drop rate for me, to date from beta, is zero. Truly does not bother me.
The OP said this thread is about the mini Festive Golem, Snowman, Airship and Foostive. You can’t craft any of them, you have to buy an item from the gem store for a chance to have them drop or go for a much lower chance from an item in game.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
- How easy/hard do you find it to get the new minis? (Mystery Box & Giant Wintersday Gift droprate)
Undecided (I haven’t tried yet because I’m unwilling to risk wasting my money.)
- Are you satisfied with the given options to get the minipets?
No
- Have you bought/Will you buy any Mystery Boxes from the gemstore this Wintersday?
Undecided (I might, but as I said above I’m extremely reluctant to waste money on a gamble.)
- Would you have bought the minipets from the gemstore if you were able to buy them? (No random drop from chest – You simply buy the minipet you want.)
Yes (I bought the halloween minis on the first day, as soon as I logged in and bought a second set to keep until I had enough candy corn to make the skeleton.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I definately recommend holding down the right mouse button and using that to move the camera and mainly control what direction you’re going. Then use your other hand to walk and jump (you may need to re-map the jump button to make this comfortable). I also found it useful to keep the camera mostly overhead because a lot of the platforms are quite close together and it makes it easier to see where you’re going.
If necessary don’t be afraid to ‘sacrifice’ an attempt to get a jump right. If you hit a point you’re not familiar with or haven’t managed to do before it might be worth taking the time to figure it out even if you don’t have time to do the rest of the puzzle – you’ll know it for next time.
Finally when you get to the part with the snowballs take your time. It’s hard after rushing through the other parts but even if you just scraped through the previous section before the platforms dissapeared you should have plenty of health left and it’s much better to wait and let a snowball go past than to try and rush it and die.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The only ones that count are the ones in the main collection window – the ones that come from the mini pack that’s in the gem store (and the 5 exotics made from putting those into the mystic forge).
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
I would love it if it did say that. Unfortunately it looks too short. Maybe just the last 3 lines?
If I could get LA to load I’d have a look. I think maybe if you put it on max graphics and played with the monitor settings you could get it clear enough to read.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I only got into the habit because I made one while levelling my leathercrafting and used it because it was a ‘free’ 8 slot bag, then found myself constantly wishing I had it on my other characters because I’d use ‘deposit collectables’ without thinking and then have to go all the way back to town because I was paranoid I’d somehow lost my mini Rytlock.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Make or buy an invisible bag and keep the mini in there.
I’ve found it very useful to have one invisible bag on each character because it also stops items showing up in merchant lists, so it’s an easy way to make sure I don’t accidentally sell them. (Just don’t put anything you do want to sell in there, and remember to check if your inventory fills up that it hasn’t overflowed.)
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
The sad thing is that they know that they’ll make a significant profit off people who HAVE to have all these vanity items……
I still think they’d make more money overall if the minis were tradable. People who want them and can afford to buy them would, as they are now, and more people would buy them to sell on the TP to those who can’t, while at the moment those sales are just being missed.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
It’s been suggested that the same minis will be available in future years and we’ll be able to get them all from the dungeon over time, but I haven’t seen any confirmation of that.
At the moment the only way to get them all is to buy them from the gem store.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
It’s possible. I have called BT repeatedly about it and that is the other part of the reason I’m thinking about switching. They start off by saying there isn’t a problem, based on the fact that I’m able to call them, then I have to explain I’m calling on my mobile. Then they send me a new home hub (to my old address, which apparently they don’t have on record) then insist we have to wait a few weeks to see if that’s fixed it.
My husband thinks it’s something they’re doing deliberately to try and persuade us to pay for an upgrade because the problems started after I stopped answering the phone to their marketing calls because they always called at the stupidest times and couldn’t/wouldn’t answer any of my questions – the just kept reading a script down the phone. But that sounds a little paranoid to me.
If I get home (I’m at work now) and it’s still not working I’m going to try calling them again but I’m not optimistic.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
After repeated issues which have lead to my husband temporarily stopping his LoveFilm subscription because it’s currently impossible for us to stream movies and mean I might well miss even more of Wintersday than I expected to I’m looking at changing internet providers.
The problem is all the information I can find, either online or by calling various companies is focused at “typical consumers” and as you might have guessed from the bit above our usage is not exactly typical. I’m not looking for something that will let me check my email and watch the odd funny cat on Youtube (although I want to do that too) what we really want is something that will let me play Guild Wars 2 while he is streaming a movie, at the same time, usually at peak times, without significant lag in either.
For a long time our current BT package (phone + internet, unlimited use and Homehub 2.0) did that but over the last 6 months or so we’ve had periods ranging from a few hours to several days when it’s been either so slow it’s unusable even for normal web browsing or cut out completely.
So I thought a good starting point would be asking other gamers what they recommend. I know services can vary a lot around the country but it will at least give me an idea of companies to look at or avoid.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Can I please remind everyone that the purpose of this thread is to offer solutions to the problem, or to state which of those already posted you prefer. There are already plenty of threads about being unhappy with the current situation.
Although Garreth’s post did remind me that it would be a big help if they would let us know if some/all of these minis will return next year or if this is our only chance. (Or if they haven’t decided yet they could say that, so we know they’re not just keeping it secret.) I’d be a lot more willing to try gambling for them if I could spread the cost out.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
It’s best if you wait until the easy songs to start, and even then you might want to focus on getting a few lines right rather than hitting all the notes at first. Then try more when you think you can do it.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I don’t remember exactly but my high score is somewhere around 500. I found it relatively easy, maybe because I’ve played a lot of Guitar Hero and similar games, but I also only played enough to get the achivement. I’ll go back to it later but I want to do the jump puzzle first.
Ha. This must be easy for a pianist. I am not one and I have troubles coordinating 8 fingers at the same time. Perfect score? For me same insanity as guitar hero perfect play on hardest mode.
I’ve been playing Piano for over 20 years. My highest score is around the low 500s. So no, its not easy for pianists.
Unless, we can somehow keybind our pianos to play the game :p
I’ve heard that guitarists actually find Guitar Hero harder than non-guitstists because the movements required feel odd to them. Maybe it’s the same here?
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
Have any of you played World of Warcraft, EverQuest, EverQuest 2, or any of these style of online game?
If so, you will know that for their holiday events you do quests, and the quest giver offers you a choice of rewards, and sometimes those can be little pets (if you were really lucky).
Remember how you picked the one you hoped would be the rarest, the one hopefully not everyone had? And remember how you knew the only way to get ALL of the pets or rewards was to play the game for a number of years, and collect them all each holiday season?
The ONLY difference here is that here you also have the choice to “skip the queue” and buy them with cash. If anything, its cheating. Real players collect them using the in-game mechanics and are pretty happy when they do it.
I think you’ve confused the two sets of minis.
You seem to be talking about the ones you can make after doing the dungeon or buy in a straight transaction from the gem shop (the mini Ventari is the only one available so far). Whereas this thread is about the ones that come from the Wintersday Mystery Box – the Snowman, Festive Golem and Airship (and the Quaggan you make from them).
There is no way to get them purely through in game mechanics and you don’t get to pick which ones you get – you might get 3 the same or none at all for your money. If it was possible to get them through in-game mechanics and Anet would confirm that they will be available in future years there wouldn’t be a problem.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I haven’t managed to do it yet, but I’m really enjoying trying. So far I’ve only gotten as far as the 1st snowball but I’m determined to get there eventually.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I haven’t seen what my male charr would get but I don’t like the female version at all.
I think it’s ok for what it is. I was going to explain why I don’t like it, but as I was doing that I realised it’s not a bad design – it’s just a design I don’t like. To me it looks like something one of the women in Edward Sissorhands might wear to a Christmas party. I can see how that might appeal to some people but to me it just looks a bit rediculous and I can’t imagine any of my female characters wearing it.
I think it would be good if they gave us two outfits in different styles like they always did for GW1, so chances are everyone will like one of them. Then bundle them together for a slight discount (over buying them seperately) and people like me would buy the one we don’t like as well, just in case it does look good on a future character.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
“Yes! I’ve gotten further than I ever ha-kitten!”
Me, just now doing the Wintersday jump puzzle.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I just did it so it’s definately not bugged. But there are a lot of things which are destructable but either not obvious or look like non-destructable parts. It’s much easier if you can get your whole party on board rather than trying to do it yourself.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I think 3 would be the best approach for future events to keep everyone happy, but for the current event 1 would probably be the simplest to impliment and most likely to solve the issue.
I’m surprised so many people like the idea of a mini pack, I felt like it was a bit of a let down to just buy them, but it is definately preferable to the current system.

I agree.
I can understand it for sPVP but I think for events where being in a group with people you know offers no benefits (like the jump puzzle) it should be an option. Maybe something like if you’re in a party when you enter your entire party will go in together.
Then either split into smaller groups or have random people added if necessary to make up numbers. For example the Wintersday jump puzzle you only do in groups of 3 or 4, so a party of 5 would have to be split in 2. But it would still be better than doing it on your own.

They are available to buy with gems outside of the chests. At least, the mini toy venturi is. I think the other minis will be added later.
I am a fan of option one though.
As I said I’m talking about the minis from the chests, not the ones from the dungeon. This is the mini Snowman, Airship and Festive Golem. Not Ventari, the princess doll, the soldier, the golem and whatever the 5th one is.
I’ve edited the first post to clarify that.
