I really don’t need to view the link, thanks for the research, I must have been one of the lucky ones, along with my Guild at the time. Maybe it was a server thing last year because it was actually a friend that told me to log out and back on and it fixed it (I have since changed servers and it was before the Mega Server release). Sorry for those it didn’t but again why wasn’t this an option for all and why wasn’t it an option this year?

Arena net is really slow? i dont know otherwise! after the mass amount of threads last year over having to deal with bobbleheads all day, you would think they would have added in a toggle. And if you didnt see my edit i did say i was partially wrong ^^ Sorry!

If memory serves me correctly (and it does) lasy years Bobble head gave you the option to turn off. Log in Bobble head, log out and back in normal. Log out and on again bobble head and so forth. Why were we not given this option again then everyone would be happy and I wouldn’t find it as annoying.

It doesnt in this case. Last year if you wanted to turn it off you had to turn your computers time back a day and each time you entered bble head made me motor exited a map you had to enter and exit the game, i did this often because the boion sick.

Pretty much this. This is how all these threads(And there are alot) end. The last one ended slightly different with quite a few players agreeing on the dueling zones though, on both sides of the fence, as a compromise.

I’m not encouraging rule breaking, but I can sympathise with it. ANet have ignored people who paid real money for a product for about a year now, and releasing the SAB minis yesterday was apparently a middle finger to paying customers… It’s a bad idea to break the rules, because ANet have all the power here, but I don’t think they really warrant “respect” for the rules here.

It’s no different then activating costume brawl. The only difference is…surprise im not wearing a costume!

I am not mis understanding what you are asking for, i do not agree with it at all and do not ever want it. You might only use it to duel with your friends, but others will not. Others will use it to troll, And trolls will always find a way to troll. Hell they do it enough already.

Again, I say this: ask for designated dueling areas instead. Nobody has a problem with duelists getting to do their thing in the Bane, or the Queen’s Pavilion, or what-have-you. Heck, integrate PvP rewards into it somewhere somehow, let the duelists earn rewards for being good at their facet of the game! I’m all for it! Heck, I’d even try my hand at a dueling arena, and I’m about as anti-PvP as one can get and still be on the Internet.

But keep it out of the PvE zones. Those are for PvE, and should stay that way.

I am playing GW2, My family is playing GW2 because of the lack of dueling in PVE, most of my almost 500 man guild is the same. We play GW2 because we do not have to deal with that. We have all had bad experiences with it. We do not want it. And if it ever gets added, i know of at least 100 people who will leave, because they do not want to have to deal with duelist trolls of any kind in PVE. Most of us dont do PVP either, or WVW for that matter. Boring to you? maybe, but PVE without having to risk player combat of any kind is why we here.

It is also a rather massive difference between a flash game and a game like this.

It wouldnt be a waste, seeing as how this game is going to be out for many many years, and those who dont want to see it will probably use those things. Just like the mail carrier skins, alot of the people in my guild think that was a waste of time, and it should have been spent on other things.

And no not really, the coding is still just that, coding. To enable or disable something is just that, coding. And unless their code is so broken and hard to navigate that it actually makes writing a button a chore, its not very different!

I dont even know why im going to bother responding to you. but really its not that hard to write a button that simply “Turns off” the event when pressed(Assuming that their coders have any experience with the programs, etc they use), at least from my admittedly very small time spent trying out flash games, it was one of the first things i got taught back when i was taking a video game design class…

Well, theres a difference between a prank and a joke. Ones mean spirited the other isnt(if it becomes mean then its not really a joke) .

A prank that needs to be accessible to every single person that logs in throughout the day, even if it’s in the last five minutes.

As quite a few of the saner of us who are annoyed at this prank, 90% of the issues pertaining to it, could have been solved by making it a toggleable buff, that you can click on or off at will for entire day. Actually an even better prank i think, and my family agrees, would have been for your character to randomly go into airplane mode while you are running. If you enter combat it ends, but when you are running you would randomly do it!

A fictional character in a movie briefly held out her arms. Somehow someone thinks that an airplane animation in a video game is somehow linked to this fictional character and the tragedy that happened over 100 years ago and decided to be offended.

People are amazing in what they decide to be offended by. It’s just incredible. Those leaps of “logic” cannot be taught in school. It’s a gift.

Why would you need to see the animations of your own character in order to fight properly? I sure don’t.

It ruins the way combat looks. And its not fun after the first 5 minutes of it(at least for me and obviously quite a few players). Despite the fact that bobbleheads gave me motion sickness i enjoyed that. It was fun, it was generally harmless. It didnt get in the way, it reminded me of the events we had in GW1.

Get a alt account the next time there is a $10 dollar sale. The laurels alone will have the account pay for itself after a few months and you can use that account as a co-leader for your personal guild bank as well as for some storage use. If you ever accidentally leave your personal guild, your alt account can invite you back.
