You should try to get enough Viper to get your burning and/or bleed to 100% or near it and use sinister after that. But to be honest, it’s not a big deal. We are talking here about min-maxing. You still do decent dps with full sinister.

For a ranger, you can reach 75% Burning duration. So ideally, you would want 25% from Viper or 375 expertise. Your bleed would only be 40%+25% =65%, but more Viper would be wasted because of your burning.

A full armor and weapon of viper would give you 309 or that 375 expertise, which is good enough IMO.

Aw, i dont run burning skills, poison and bleeding for me, mostly shortbow, sword/dagger. Its on odd build i run, but it works quite well, and well nobody in dungeons or fractals has said anything about it yet. Ill go ahead and making a few pieces of Vipers though! Thanks!

So what about a 50/50 set of sinisters and vipers. I already have a full set of sinisters ascended made for my ranger, and im not overly looking to replace the whole thing as i like the shear amount of damage my bleeds do(Already at 20% extra duration from traits)

I wouldnt be able to say, i crashed to desktop and just cant find it within myself to go back into that story again. The Eir, and Canach fights where enjoyable though!

I was disappointed in how he looked though, HIs mind form only, im sure his physical form looks way better. (Mind form reminded me of the Lava dragons from heroes V)

Heavy prefix automatically makes it only lootable in a 75+ map.. we do not have many centaurs in lvl 75+ unless you mean the centaurs in dry top, and they are FRIENDLY.

Does living story mob kills give bags? I honestly cant remember. I think there is a mission where you start slaughtering them because reasons.

As far as I can remember, they don’t drop loot.

No quite honestly im not…i liked Traeherne, of course i played through as a sylvari and knew who he was before hand.

That’s because Verdant Brink is a terrible map compared to the other 3 that were released. So much of that map is locked behind a time gate that is not on a set timer from what I can tell (someone correct me if Verdant Brink is on a constant reset timer like Dragon’s Stand is) that people are rushing to get what they need for map completion/masteries instead of doing the event.

From what i can tell its on a set time. Night and day at least yeasterday was happening the same exact time on my map, and my parents map(they where in a different instance) But the day and night events take place at the same time. It just sucks that its one of two ways to get it, and both are locked behind ameta event that..ugh…

Just be aware that a successful run of Dragon’s Stand is 2-2.5 hours depending on the skill of the map. It will go down over time but right now its quite long but also incredible.

Yea well, its the same amount of time out in Verdant brinks. Except it seems people actually care in Dragons stand to try and organize it, unlike out in Verdant brinks where most are only there to get to the later maps, easy rewards by going afk for the entire event and waking up for the night bosses(god that is so annoying).

been trying to organize successful runs of Verdant brink since launch and more players are interested in farming the hero points and leaving the map than staying and helping.

This is the 100% way to get the bladed top, now actually follow it carefully.

-Get an organized map for Tier 4 Night time

-Make sure when you have to defend the rally points that 0 fall & you take almost all of the rally points AND upgrade them.

-Escort the Pact Soldiers AND get them to the camps.

-Three to Four people at every rally ONLY, no more than that! Two defend, the others upgrade/escort

-Kill all nighttime canopy bosses BUT there still needs to be people escorting AND guarding camps.

-Constant communication in map chat, all mentors and commanders on deck.

This is the 100% way to get the bladed top IF you have T4 by the end.

These drop from the completion of the Dragon’s Stand meta event as well. I have done the meta 3 times and gotten a chest every time. I am not sure if this is good luck or if its a 100% drop though. Just wanted to add another way to get it.

Do they? Maybe ill bring my ranger out there and knock out to things in one go. Get all my bladed chest pieces and my pets and then i can go back to verdant brinks to get airship parts for the rest of the two sets and everything else i need!

Except, he has a point. If WVW players want the “Elite” specs to play in WVW in any reasonable time they have to do HOT, pve content, that they probably dont enjoy.

Quite honestly im all for making WVW like PVP where all skills and specs are unlocked for the area, which i know the OP didnt say that, but still.

For a lot of people, “abuse” of a mentor tag merely means displaying it when someone else has their commander tag on. I’m hearing about commanders in maps sending whispers to any and all people with their mentor tags on, saying to tag down because they won’t tolerate anyone else on a map tagging up when they’re already tagged.

Thats completely stupid and makes me want to run around with the commander tag i bought yesterday on all the time just to spite them. Jesus people need to grow the hell up.

Yeah. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to find something between “so common everyone has a full stack of the skins by the end of the event” and “so rare that the item’s opportunity cost is akin to a precursor.” They used to be able to do this. The living world had a lot of mid-level rewards, at one time. The jade weapon set? Those tickets used to drop in the open world. The various backpieces. Other rewards that were purchased with festival currencies. Even last year, with the ghost dog issue, there was the mini cat that was obtainable.

For anyone wondering – just search Nuhoch on the TP and you can literally buy all map currencies, hence acquiring all the purchasable bladed skins. It’s kinda… Weird when you think about it – Bandit Crests and Geodes are never tradable yet these new map currencies are.

Huh. We did two rushes on…Thursday night I think…and didn’t have any problems. So whatever is going wrong, it isn’t all the time.

Seems random, our guild did them yesterday and one person got the reward after doing them twice.

The mursaat i would love to see return, but without the white mantle. I love the way the mursaat look, and their lore.

Plus, the mursaats mission failed, if i recall correctly, so they might not be a villain anymore if they return!

Im very glad your guild got the rewards, i wish mine had!

We tried once more later, and one person out of the entire guild got a reward chest. I got the reward chest for the PVP mission from another guild im in, but i didnt get any of the PVE chests.

This, 100%. I only put up my tag when in lower level maps, and already I’ve had people ask me several questions because they saw my tag. I enjoy being helpful, and I think this tag is a great mechanism for that.

Yes, there will occasionally be some abuse, but I haven’t seen any cases of it yet. I also haven’t seen anything that leads me to believe that it will be any worse than commander tag abuse that happens every so often.

Pretty much this, yes. Doesnt help that most of the people that are upset about it are only upset because they spent money.

I remember the Commander tag spamming that went on, it was very annoying, much like this is, but it will be fixed like the other, with time.

I still have 1 unused character slot… so I’m actually curious here rather than critical.

One per class(My engineer is still at 57, just cant get into engineers enough to level it up), And then i have one sylvari mesmer(wanted a different race from the other 13 charr i have, so 2 mesmers there) I have two Eles, ones a RP character the other is a character i seldom play(My oldest), and two Necros, i think i have two rangers too. Most of my characters are Charr too, despite their clippy crappy armor.

On a serious note, this is a picture of a bug I’ve been having for a few months. For some reason, these story chapters have been set to this totally affordable price of 4,294,967,295 gems at some point and stayed that way ever since.

I have contacted support. But thought I’d share this for the lulz.

um it does not cost that much for the Ls2 it is being sold on the trading post right now for 320 gems . on sale normal price is only 400gems it is very cheep and easy to get . and the rewards are worth it . so iam not sure where you get all these numbers but that is what it is on the trading post . #justsaying

Guild im a part of, AUX just did both the easy and the hard guild rushes, nobody in either got the personal credit chest, the guild however did guild credit for finishing the rush.

You have to equip the specialization in the third slot of your specialization menu in the hero panel to be able to equip the weapon!

They actually do. They make it more convenient to reach certain areas while giving players another thing to aim for. They worked in WoW but not so much here where the base game isn’t really designed for them. If they ever do introduce flying mounts I hope they stay out of WvW because flying could open up a can of worms on that front. Imagine if flying were around in Alterac Valley? Yeah, too much abuse potential. It’s totally fine in PvE maps though where they only things that’ll attack you are AI.

Mount for GW2: The Dead Horse. It does nothing, cannot move, and comes with a stick to beat in the pathetic hope it will. In fact, it’s dead, rotting, and makes every NPC around you shun you meaning that you cannot buy, sell, craft, or enter any town or city, ever again. Also, it makes you attackable by everyone in WvW, you cannot join PvP teams, etc.

Why? Because you are sick and disturbed enough to insist on riding a dead horse and beating it.

The “Dead Horse” being flogged is giving any credence to old Dev statements re what will not be in game.

When mounts come, not IF, a good number of those going purple with rage at the mention of mounts will be enthusiastically grinding for them or buying gem cards.

Not me, ill be out, gliding is fun because it doesnt do anything aside allow you to go up or down, and its not always on.

Honestly i dont mind mounts if they are like the glider, if they do something for specific maps, See gliders, and the junundu from GW1, those are fine. I dont want my screen cluttered by massive particle effect monsters that ruin my FPS, and they really dont do anything for the game.

Me(A ranger) and two others, a warrior and a mesmer brought that wyvern down to 25% this morning, my number 5 skill, was bringing its break bar down by alot, and the mesmer would finish it off.

Then a zerg showed up..and we couldnt break it again..
