Sadly there is no runes of defender in spvp. But i thought too it might work with Maruaders amulet. Im gonna try it and see. Also those kitten Guardians have so many blocks, aegis etc that its so hard to time your CC sometimes :P.

On top of that i think that just a rezzer is not enough, thats why i choose these weapons, pets and amulet. For CCing, decaping and holding a node. Yes you can do all these

You are missing a lot here.
First of all the regen is ticking for 280 with swiftness. That helps my teammates survive.
Second i got taunt, knockback, 3 knockdowns, daze-stun and a 48 cd stability, a 60cd signet with stability too and a 60cd trait that transfers a cc to my pet. So im not a cc banner at any means. Quite the opposite. And my CC helps my team survive. Watch the video again.
And the match is for demostrating the build, its not ranked, my team is not on the same lvl as me. It doesnt mean anything that we lost so badly

Combined with mercy runes that makes us a heal bot or what?

As the tittle says, i just did some theorycrafting with some % multipliers in a hybrid build.
I think that the dmg is still low, if only Shortbow had more raw dmg.
I think that the kitting ability is fine, even with all these gap closers that Anet like to introduce.
What do you think?
After 3 years and Anet still havent achieve what is vital for every competitive game out there.
A skill rewarding gameplay.
Lets take for example LoL. Sure there are some broken heroes from time to time but a skillfull opponent will be able to shout em down.A skillfull team will shut em down.Well played strategies will take em down.
Theres no excuse for wanting a game to be competitive and not aiming for high risk – high reward gameplay.
And if they are aiming for it they failed soooooo hard so far
I always thought that if there were some kind of banning system in GW2 it will make the balance much better..

Ofc and burning is out of place right now. Its op cause anet just changed it and they need to tone down some stacks in some skills. Ppl saying the opposite are just ppl who main ele and they want to continue to rule the spvp matches..

Rangers are supposed to bring support to the table with pets…
But unfortunately Anet had failed into making pets a solid mechanic.So the support Rangers bring is clunky and its make you thing “egh”.

Yeah i know you can use F1-F3 to semi control these skills and eventually you may be able to control em but it will still feel a little clunky.It will ruin your combat flow, your rotations and your focus

The problem with shouts aint the cd imo.
They dont effect the team and 2 ( sic em and gaurd ) effect only the pet untraited..
Imo this is bad design.. “Hey i shout but only my pet hear it, not even me”
Although i find em really fun i have found some major weakness that make em not viable atm.
1. They getting countered by AI. Mesmers, Necros and even other Rangers send their AI on them and they trigger leaving you with a skillslot on a 36sec cd
2. Range. Good Mesmers that realize that you are a trap Ranger tend to stay away from you. Other classes that have a strong range dmg can beat you easily if the play clever. Being melee and throwing traps feels a little clunky cause of the casting time, even so its nearly imposible to keep a steady flow in your rotations.
3. The lack of synergize with more traits. We need more traits imo. A single trait giving just some increases doesnt feels right. It either will make em OP or it wont help much. We need some kind of utility on them. Some cond removal, some stun break
4. Pets. They dont seem to synergize well with our pets. The soft cc that they provide may make pets hit more reliably the target but still i believe that more interaction is needed.
Something like giving some boons on pet, something like pet gains Sic em when a foe steps to a trap. Its seems logic that your pet is ambushing with you for a foe to step on the trap and hunt him down..

My problem is that chill even tho has its use it has no use at all at

Im sure it has some uses here and there but it too situational.
What if you add some dmg on every tick and make it stackable?

Firstly is the condi clearing from shouts enough? I have really hard time facing those crazy burning Guardians and Eles with those enormous stacks of burning on me.. How do you deal with them?
Also the regen from the shouts dont you think it goes kinda wasted without any healing power or Oakheart salve? I really hate the low ticking on the regen.
Also in the build description you have picked Striders Defense tho in the video i cleary see the Spotter buff icon.
Does the active effect of storms spirit inflicts a 6sec daze on foes?
And if not, how many sec?
Ive made a might stacking build and my spider could hit for 4k with auto attack some squishy targets.
After 3 years still my pet finds some really strange paths to chase foes sometimes.. Sometimes i find myself screaming at it “JUST GO STRAIGHT YOU STUPID BURDEN”..
What really scares me with Druid specialization is if an option where you merge with your pet comes out i strongly believe that its the end for every other thing Ranger has..
It would be like we were playing for 3 years a beta class.. And we can finally say “Ooooh! So thats how it is?”

No top spvp team have rangers in their composition. And its not cause its easy or difficult to play.
Official response of Anet was that it will make Ranger too hard to play!
And many oppose this statement bringing the Elementalist as example and Anet said that many players stay just in one attument in dungeons!!!
Also it will require to rebalance every skill because they have been balanced (!) with the thought that are pretty much random!!!!!!!
No blast finisher when i swap pets with Clarion Bond over the frost trap.It works fine with flame trap

Many evades and with clever use of the weapon swap make this build sometimes very fun.. You gonna press a lot of keys and im loving it.
Still the dmg is kinda low, not enough condis not enough burst..Its gonna take forever to kill other tanky classes..

ANet really needs to nerf healing spring because it totally carried that Ranger. And what about that evade spam and cheap perma quickness? Yeah that’s gotta go to, or else we will see everyone running ranger. Taunt is totally OP as well, it should be fixed. No one could touch that Ranger…

LB + S/T, mainly survival utilities. Focuses on 1v1s and busting down a target in team fights. Lots of might/fury.
Surprisingly effective, I’ve beat condition mesmers, bunker guards, zerker eles, perma-stealth thieves, etc.
Firstly Longbow, Lead the wind and marksmaship trait line is a bad choice with rabid Amulet.. Its a power weapon and a power traitline and they have no dmg condition in them..The bleed on crit its not enough imo. I can imagine some hybrid builds but i wouldnt go with at least 1500 power.
Secondly i would drop moment of clarity for Steady Focus.. Its a mediocre trait if not for a greatsword or shortbow

Every time i use heal i give aoe regen, swiftness, 3 stacks of might, fury, and a +25% dmg crit to me…. ON A 16sec COOLDOWN
I can change the shout but i want to keep my regen permanent and not wasting healing skill

Hey guys with might duration is not only 8 stacks of might. I wont do the maths but its more. And we get 20% boon duration increase from a trait. Combined with other sources of might, runes, sigils, signets it will be very interesting to see how much the stacks will grow. Lets try it first. I may be wrong but i like it so far..

I think that it may be a little op.. With some investement on might duration, an axe mainhand and some other skills too you will have no problem reach 25 might stacks after a few secs under 50% life..
They will nerf it, enjoy while you can
