don’t bother reporting, the noobs probably already figured out the rewards for killing the same people magically disappear after about 3 kills
Which would be a valid point except the pic seems to show what looks like 4 on each side so they are most likely rotating kills, which in turn will keep them in exp and points for quite some time.
not really worried about some people getting 10 bags which are usually mostly vendor items
How to beat a necro:
Attack. Get into melee range, cleansing conditions if you are against a condition necro. CC. Damage.
Necros cant blink, teleport, invis, etc. Once you are in melee you are pretty much good. You will lock them down and kill them. If the necro tries to run away at any point, you have already won.
I know this is an oversimplification but this is a way to start to adapt your play style to fighting a necro. Like I have to adapt my play style to fighting a mesmer, thief, etc.
Adapting playstyle does not mean a class is OP. It means they have different vulnerabilities and strengths than your class
yup because casting 2-3 marks while running away from me and putting around 8 conditions, ticking me for 2k per second with chill and sometimes cripple as well definitely means Im winning.
@Nemesis – I really don’t like you saying elementalists are OP… if class with the lowest health pool and weakest armor in the game is tough to bring down, it is mostly because of the very good play. We all saw tons of elementalists trying to reproduce what they saw in videos once and failed miserably.
Elementalists are by far tougher to master then necros – and truth to be told some class features were easily exploitable in the hand of a skillful player. On the other hand to play necro effectively you need IF half as much skill. (please don’t try to convince me otherwise because you will not succeed)
And to conclude, necros are not op. they may have need some tweaks and polishing but they are decent as they are. To beat them you need some skill, which a lot of common gamers don’t simply posses.
I’ve found there’s no way to beat them with guard but yeah besides the point

but anyway what I really meant about “full on complete counter” was not the effectiveness, but the effort by the person trying to counter. As in I spec completely and fully in an effort to counter conditions or necromancers.

everyone should be running engis with immune to conditions trait because conditions are OP AS kitten right now.
seriously though, what class can remove enough conditions to negate a lot of necro’s damage? I mean like full on complete counter to necro’s conditions.

Im literally just trying to find out if its even possible to mitigate necromancers by a fraction if you fully spec for it on any class, but you obviously can’t comprehend that and think the necromancer is completely fine as having no counter.
Before you people cry about imbalance please post a video of you playing and your build so the community can determine whether you have a right to your claims. I’m 99% sure most of the “gamers” either have sub par gear, builds, and movement (Back peddle, Clicking, Key turning, not dodge rolling). I strongly believe if these things apply to you then you have no right to come to the forums and whine. You are not playing the best you can be playing so of course good people are going to make short work of you.

Today in WvW we had 4 people trying to kill guardian. He never got back more then 25% and immediately heal himself. For 5 min. I’m guardian myself but do not understand how is it possible? I’m not pretend to be a good player but looks like I’m missing some fundamentals. I’m build 20 Zeal, 30 Valor (3,5,11) and 20 Honor. Using 2h sword and staff/mace+shield
Please advise.
he was a full bunker and none of you ran high spike dps or conditions, so there’s no way he would die. it literally takes no skill and you should NOT be envious of him.

The main FC zerg knew -exactly- where our main zerg was without orange swords ever popping up.
No scouts where noticed anywhere near.

Your zerg isn’t really hard to watch. I wasn’t there so I can not tell you exactly what was up but you usually hit the easy targets. When the paper gates are gone you hit keeps. After that you go for towers. If you were following that same plan, the plan you ALWAYS follow, I understand how they could track you.

he’s depending a lot on sword mobility watching a couple mins of his videos
perma retalliation is pretty good but he’s missing a ton of extra healing w/o 30 in honor and AH..
personally I think he’s overhealing a bit considering all of his damage mitigation, healing that could be replaced with more dps. looking at his old vids he usually has 2 states, first being he’s 100% hp, 2nd being where he’s focused and is losing HP. he usually just heals up after being focused hard and its back to same old 100%.
GoM you are spineless. You are spoiling the game for so many with your “attack FC only” attitude. Zero action on AR side of EB and giving them a nice open window to attack FC too. How nice you spineless jerks.

Try to fight any decent ranger, necromancer, mesmer or engineer. See how they laugh at you and demolish you as soon as your retaliation ends. Guardians are one of the best classes overall (SPvP, WvW and PvE) but our significant weaknesses (low HP, low mobility, lack of range) makes us easy preys for any skilled player.
And FYI, most people in WvW are utter garbage. Once I was ganked by two thieves, and it took me symbol of wrath + whirling wrath to down both of them. Good job stealing when I had Aegis, thieves. I bet anyone that can play his class right and has a proper small-scale PvP build could handle such players.
P.s. I’ll get stoned for this, but I’ll give you that Stand Your Grand deserves some nerfing :P
It’s not SYG that’s broken. It’s the way other classes are lacking in certain areas. Right now there are a select few classes that bring “essential” buffs to a group. I would much rather see Anet add ways for other classes to obtain similar buffs, even if they had to make a sacrifice to do it.
To the OP I think you might be trolling, but just in case you aren’t WvW is not an accurate representation of skilled pvp play. It is a good representation of which server has better macro play though. It is possible to win wvw and never even engage in pvp. It has it’s own set of skills. That isn’t to say someone can’t be good at both, or because they are good at one they are good at the other.
he specifically said he won 1v3’s and 1v1’s in wvw, which means he’s participating in pvp.
I’m curious to know who the SF Major warrior that was roaming around FC’s borderland was today. He appeared to be a full zerker, hitting pretty hard, and then fleeing as good as an ele after downing a guy with other foes nearby. It seemed he liked to run and have a good laugh after doing so.
Was he a male Sylvari with a Legendary GS?

We had a GOM spy in our guild, and when we kicked him he mentioned my name, saying something about me raging. Not sure where all the hate came from but I have an idea now who that spy was… we’re tier 7/8… spying is a little too tryhard, so why?

we had a spy in FC BL the other day, though we didnt fret it very much. I had my tag up in the skritt area since we were chasing bots around to report them, then all of a sudden 10 GoM show up and try to kill us. We had a good 7 though so we killed them.
FC how many guys do you have that exploit lol I brought it up in map chat and everyone said " oh yea that’s FC for you" lol it must happen a lot for it to be common knowledge to everyone on the map. I heard of the Flying charr, I thought it was a myth, but after seeing a Charr Guardian walk though the 100% inner gate at valley to come smack me with his hammer as I was trying to set up a defensive arrow cart, then flying chars are possible too, id call out guild names but I met a respectable Ele from the same guild so I wont do that.
actually non-mindless zerging is another way to get badges, which obviously wasn’t what you were doing since you had no idea what you were doing. unfortunately it’s not exactly your fault that there are no zergs that have any organization.
How do you take out the treb that is put on the supply depot closest to Durios in SM, that hits both Durios’ walls? AC’s work and I can’t find a good counter treb spot so I hope someone here has dealt with it before, thanks!

I dont like ARM. He leaves me feeling inadequate. Ill round a corner or out a door, and there is ARM fighting 4-5 people. I say to myself, I should help him. But then I have to stand and watch as he starts killing people. And I think, if i go in there, Ill get killed. Then ill be depressed and have to quit to eat a pint of ice cream and cry myself to sleep. So I just stand and watch. Or pretend like I had a wall somewhere to repair….

Im not him but I know sometimes its just not worth it wasting time fighting a bunker ele who runs circles around you doing almost no damage, though that may not be your case.
What people mean with a well timed dodge is that if you time it correctly, your dodge will pass you over the warding, then you will be CC’d after you pass it. After that you’re usually cleared past it, but you may get a 2nd CC if you didn’t clear it well enough.

Not sure how long it was total, but long enough to pop a food buff and watch it expire. All of our dead mesmers had long since timed out. But then DR decided that reclaiming their hills was more interesting that trying to catch me, so they all left. :/

Says Who? Radiance is the only viable DPS spec for a guardian. I cannot see how people DPS with Valor and Honor.
10/30/10/0/20 is the strongest DPS build for a guardian. It is virtually immune to all conditions and hits for 5k with 270 retaliations.
In PvP, any build without AH or MF is in a huge disadvantage. I don’t think you can burst any decent player fast enough with a DpS build to make up for the lack of defense these builds have, and I find it far more easy to 1vX against offensive builds like than anything else (because they seriously lack a way to sustain themselves).
If you’re talking about PvE, please note that my original post said PvP. In PvE, anything goes…
I am talking about PvP, and no it’s not a huge disadvantage. Suit yourself if you think it’s bad, but I am constantly queuing in the top 1000 bracket and killing people with it. The defense of the build is signet of judgement, which applies weakness to players. You also have several blinds and blocks with tons of condition removal.
